He chuckled at seeing her brighten up. “I’ll be right back.” He said as he trotted out. He was gone for around ten minutes before coming back with a rabbit, which he laid at her muzzle. “Here you go.”

Elah drew a breath deep into her lungs, letting it fuel her shift -- she was used to the pain of flesh molding from human into wolf form. She finished in a true wolf state -- a dark chocolate fur beast tipped with caramel on her ears and tail. She wasn't small, in fact she was quite large, but the battered cuffs of her eyes let her one thing known to her, if not to others -- she wasn't the largest.
She tried to ignore that thought as she tore into the rabbit before her, devouring every part of it -- fat, muscle, flesh, skin, even marrow and the juicy organs too. It was a good meal, she looked up from it licking the blood from her list.
I thank you, she said to the Alpha's mind. Where is your pack, by the way?

He shivered a bit, still a bit uneasy how they could talk in mind. He sat beside her and looked at her. It dissolves a while ago. I moved to this area after we all separated ways. I’m trying to start a pack of my own here in this area. He replied as he licked his chest fur down.

That's what she did when she felt an idea coming on -- usually, an idea that was less than morally perfect. I know of a pack, rich, and strong. You should take over it, she said. All you need to do is kill the bastard who currently sits as alpha, and with that she added a growl, her anger at Dekan now bubbling up and over.

His eyes widened and his fur bushes up and he looked over at her. Kill? I was thinking more build a pack ground up. Plus alpha fights never end good for the challenger usually... He said to her. He then put two and two together and he whined softly. Is that what happened? Your parents were the previous alphas?

To his first question, the young wolf nodded. He killed them in their sleep, she said. Dishonorably. He replied, hoping to encourage her. It was clear she didn’t think the new Alpha was very good, even evil, and he found himself agreeing with her.

(I've decided that if we haven't seen it in one week from now, I'm gonna go to the cinema alone and watch it by myself. I'm pretty sure that I have the money, but I really want to at least TRY to see it as a family.) "I accept it." To be honest, Aurora had even surprised herself by her lack of hesitation. She hadn't even really thought about what she was saying before she said it, but honestly, there was no thinking to be had. What surprised her more was the sudden pain no more than five seconds after she said it. It started with a sparking pain in her chest, which was easy to ignore, but then it started to spread... Desmond smiled. It was a proud, happy moment -- one he had craved for a long time. He just hadn't found the right student, until now. But, in this moment, that should've been dominated by joy and goodly pride, Desmond found himself crippled by a sudden pain deep within his sternum. It worried him, because such pains could happen when you had abused anti-aging thaumaturgy as much as he had, but he glanced around to the masters and other students. A few others had felt it too. "Aurora," he murmured as the pain got worse. "What is this?" Aurora closed her eyes for a moment, trying to come to terms with what she had suspected for days. Her father had been... Unnaturally quiet when they had met, and yet, had never let his gaze leave some distant, imaginary point. Yes. It was... Too true. "I think it's a curse," She replied quietly, opening her eyes. She hated the pure thought of it, but it was true. Her father had cursed her. What did this mean? If she couldn't trust her own parents not to curse her, what else couldn't she trust them about? If her own kin would stoop so low, could she trust anybody else not to do the same thing? She bit her lower lip as the pain and pressure started to build more.

[[m' bak]] Elah's previously downcast glance shot upwards with hope. Could it be true? Could it really-- She had never hoped she'd find anyone to help her get vengeance on Dekan. She never thought she'd find a...home, again. In a flurry of gratitude and surprise she licked his cheek and then blushed slightly. Well, that was awkward. Perhaps she should pretend it never happened. So she held her head high and flounced off to the entrance to the cave -- as she did so she transformed back into a human. "Consider me your loyal beta in your pack of one, Alpha," she said, now standing as a girl again.

Desmond suppressed a moan as a twang of pain shot through his bones and stayed there, throbbing in irregular patterns. Around the ceremony hall the pain was manifesting in different ways for different people -- a few women claimed they were having birthing pangs, and some of the more reserved students were weeping with unbridled despair. The curse had been to incapacitate them, Desmond knew it. "It's a pain curse -- it'll work faster on--" his speech was slow and stinted, but he looked up to the masters -- by their quaking and writhing they were suffering the worst. "Those with anti-aging thaumaturgy." A few of the masters were starting to pass out. Once they were gone, Desmond would be next. He was by far the oldest. So, with gritted resolve he came from his chair and grabbed Aurora's hand, leading her through the hallway. "Your father did this," he murmured, detecting the feel of Mirren Thaumaturgy, and knowing that Jane had been too distracted with their conversation to curse the manor when they were inside it. "Which means I can rid you of it -- as you are his blood."

Fang watched her tighten up and suddenly flounce out of the den and he shifted to, becoming a tall, handsome man. “No problem. And please, call me Fang. I don’t care for the whole Alpha Beta formalities.” Damn, not bad, Elah thought when looking Fang up and down. Hopefully he couldn't hear her human thoughts that clearly yet. "My name is Elah," she replied, smiling and dipping her head. She turned to look out the mouth of of the cave, which was on the edge of a ridge. Bellow that ridge was a beautiful forest and then the peaks of mountains. Rough, true outdoor terrain. Good for hunting, and having fun. It was just coming into summer -- in a few weeks, the whole place would be teaming with life too. Oh, how she loved to swim in the lakes and streams, and climb the tall pine trees. "We're on the outskirts now, but if you take down Dekan, all that will be yours -- along with a pack of about thirty wolves. My father knew each by name. They are...family," she said, then turned to Fang and lowered her head as a sign of respect. "I will now tell you all you want to know of him, and what happened, if you want to know it." It wasn't something she was still 100% comfortable with -- but her parents had raised her right: Alpha is first. Alpha is everything.

He chuckled and came closer to her and lightly lifted her chin up with a finger. “Hold your head high, Elah. You might be Beta but you are still equal with me.” He said with a warm smile. “And you just share whatever you feel is necessary. You don’t have to share anything you don’t want to.” He said as he held out a hand. “Want to go into town for a walk and a bite to eat? It’s safer there with so many humans.” He said.

"H-How!?" Aurora stammered. She was panicking, there was no doubt of that. Her family had done this. Her family had stolen all joy from what was supposed to be a time from rejoicement. They might have even killed a few... She gritted her teeth, bowing her head. This was terrible... "Once you're inside the society, if not stopped, you can....curse it," he finished, breathing heavily with every step now. He wasn't going to last much longer -- and certainly wasn't going to make it to his workshop. He'd have to break the curse here. He burst into a side room -- it was a lecture hall. Thankfully, it had everything he needed. He virtually crawled to the scrying ball and started to summon the forces over it. It didn't take much to alter the curse to not affect anyone of the caster's blood, so Aurora should start to recover. He, however, was just starting to get worse and worse. He wasn't going to make it. Oh gods, it was terrifying facing the potential end. At that point, Desmond ran to Aurora and held her face, looking intently into her eyes as a father would his daughter. "Listen; don't...blame...yourself. You're not your parents. Mara can tell you that more than anyone. Find Violet. Find the black tower. One more thing, she's a-- " He couldn't take it anymore, the professor winched and then collapsed to the ground -- exhausted and unconscious with the pain.

Elah raised a brow. "I doubt Dekan cares about whether or not humans get hurt in a wolf fight," she said. "But at least he'll be expecting to take me alone -- he won't risk a front on front confrontation with another Alpha. Not when the whole pack thinks he tried to save my parents instead of kill them." "But food sounds good," she said, forgetting herself. "Mexican?"

Aurora froze. She was partially overwhelmed, but started to relax as the pain started to fade from her system. She bit her lower lip, looking down at her feet. Violet? The Black Tower? Well... It was down to her to break the curse, so, she'd do her best. Even if the ceremony never officially ended, she considered herself a member of the Bristol Society now. It was her duty to break the curse that her father had placed upon the building. ( Lilystar88)

Sparkly The Bristol Society Mannor used to be a much larger place -- after all, the society had been in place for the past eight hundred years. But with thaumaturgists, came disasters. Inevitably some place would get blown up, and another would get lost in the time streams -- except for one place; the black tower Luckily, it was hidden underneath the lake. But it had no doors. Not even any windows. You could only get inside with a spell. It was only known to the masters, Desmond, and one other. The one other stood facing the recovering apprentice now, her face fixed in a glower as if it was her permanent expression. She'd seen it all happen. She could've helped -- but didn't want to. After all, she had little love for Desmond anymore. "Hope you can figure how to get yourself out of the tower once you find her," the pale, ginger woman said. "And God help ye if you do." And with that, the ghost snapped her fingers and Aurora was inside the underwater tower -- at the bottom of a large staircase. [[deepest apologies if that's too god-moddy I just remembered I left no instructions for Aurora to reach the tower.]]

(It's completely fine!)
Aurora sighed, wasting no time in starting to climb the staircase. Strangely, she wasn't nervous about what may lie at the top for her - She had already faced worse, and was starting to wonder if her life had turned into a never-ending series of terrible events. Plus, she had never really been able to tell danger from a rather dodgy kind of excitement, which is probably what led her into this mess in the first place. Oddly enough, she didn't ever properly tire, reaching the top of the staircase within twenty or so minutes. She paused at the top, looking around.

@tobster100
"Sounds like a plan," Elah said, smiling a little as she started to doddle down the dust-path to the bottom of the cliff. There, she hit the forest. The growing sunset filtered through the trees to illuminate the gold undertones beneath her olive tanned skin. She loved it when she was out in nature, wearing her shorts and her vest tops, her arms covered by her two bronze arm-bands. For a moment, she forgot the present company and twirled around as a few leaves fell upon her forehead. Then she remembered, and blushed slightly, adopting her more stoic staunching walk beside him again.
"Unfortunately Dekan has set up everyone against me, but the pack is loyal -- most owe...owed...my father their lives, some many times over. If we could show them the truth then they'd tear Dekan to shreds and follow me again, and by default you. But it won't be easy to convince them."

Groundedness sorted yet? leobloise Y'know even after about two weeks of knowing your username I've never got the spelling locked down. But anyway, everything ok? Don't worry if you're busy I, as you may have noticed, am also horrendously busy so I get it. Just checking you still want to go ahead with the rp. New guys: Morior 𝓼𝓲𝓵𝓿 𝖘𝖎𝖑𝖛𝖊𝖗𝖘𝖎𝖑𝖐 Hey all! Sorry for not being more hospitable earlier, my uni work has been mental. All your character's look fantastic and you all rp quite large posts so I'm happy for that. In terms of starting a plot, I could make a new character to compliment your plot desires and stuff. Only problem with that is I am likely to be on infrequently and replies could be as infrequent as fortnightly (but realistically probably weekly) for really long posts, cause I've got lots of them to do. If that doesn't suit then no worries, I'm sure ya'll can sort character's between yourselves for a rp. ]]

Sparkly [[violet's character update for ya as well Violet // Female // Vampire // 21/02/70 (age 48, looks 17) Violet has an odd dress sense -- with a full fringe and chest length black hair, long black and white striped socks with shiny purple doc martens on the end of her feet. She also wears a black mini-skirt and a black tight fitting corset top, with puffed ¾ length sleeves and victorian lace frills. There’s also a stripy purple, and glittery scarf around her neck. Without that she wouldn’t be that remarkable appearance wise -- she’s very skinny, very pale, with dull purple eyes (which is where she got her name from). She likes to wear red lipstick a lot, and stands at 5’ 7’’. Desmond expected Violet’s confinement would curb her personality, but for twenty nine years she has been quirky and bubbly, still exuberant and friendly -- and as ever, has a passion for life and people. For someone who has lived almost fifty years, Violet still acts like a seventeen year old. However, there is a clear streak of fear in her surrounding the fact she is a vampire and what vampires do to people. For this reason sometimes she can be shy and shrink from people, when really all she wants is to be their friends. And the reason for Violet’s fear is well founded -- she is essentially a fugitive. She was raised from birth by Viola Bloodmancer, who Violet thinks is her biological mother (Desmond knows this isn’t the truth but has never told Violet this because he’s worried it would unstable her psychologically). Violet had always been told she’d become a vampire on her eighteenth birthday, but a few months before she was involved in a car accident and was on death’s door so Viola converted her earlier. Upon her vampire awakening, Violet felt the normal craving for blood, but resisted despite her mother’s urgings. Through her own moral objections, and Desmond’s help, she escaped Viola and asked for his help converting her back to human. But he was unable to. So, until he finds a cure, Violet has commited herself to stay in the black tower -- so she doesn’t hurt anyone. ]] At the top of the tower there was nothing in particular that stood out -- a dusty old room, with cracked wood floorboards and some broken furniture. But there was, however, a girl, and a record player. Beside it lay a dozen LP's -- all with bands from the eighties -- Guns n roses, The Smiths, and Prince were lain on the top. The one in the player now, however, was Poison. "Every rose has it's thorns..." the girl half mumbled, gently swaying to the music that came out -- the sound now faded and disfigured after thirty years of being played. But not even her music distracted her from the smell of someone new in her chamber. Not a vampire or a ghost no -- and not Desmond. Violet screamed. "What are you doing here?!" she yelled, running and hiding pretty unaffectively behind a broken set of drawers. "Go away! I'll eat you!" she snapped, then followed it with a non-convincing hiss sound -- trying to scare away the wayward thaumaturgist.

Fang nodded as he walked beside the female, listening intently. “Okay... what if we calmly intercept with a small patrol? Talk to them and get them to see what is truly going on? Sow the seeds of dissent among them to weaken resolve...” he said, almost sage-like as he walked along. It was clear he knew what he was talking about and had experience in combat and strategy.
As he walked and talked more with the female, it was becoming more clear to him how evil the new Alpha was, as well as how wanting he was to take the pack over. I never thought I’d be an alpha this way...
