So I had this idea for a group thing, I'm not sure weather it would be bigger or smaller, it would depend on the amount of interest. The basic idea is that there are several gemstones hidden around an area that were created by gods and each one controls a different element to a certain extent. These powers would be both good and bad and each one has a predisposed master or god, but the cat who would be destined for that gem can be created however one may please. The only catch would be that if you are making the cat for that element or power, you would also be in control of the Element's master, though this could change for the sake of RP. It's basically to make sure we don't have pupils running around with no mentors.
The general form at the moment is... Name- Gemstone- Ability Physical description and powers Personality Status (open or claimed, and if claimed, claimed by whom)
--E X A M P L E--
Master Oculus- Opal- Power of Foresight. Purely white she-cat with scars over her eyes in which she is blind. She has part of her coat missing on her tail and black accented markings along her fur, including eye shaped markings along each shoulder This she-cat has the power to see into the future. Being able to see into the future causes Oculus to... (etc.)
-Up for Grabs-
------------ Pupil -Up for grabs- The general plot would basically be that there is a great evil along the horizon, most likely in the form of the fallen Gods (They control the darker things in the world, Oculus is one of them) and their pupils, basically leading to a race for all of the pupils to band together and find all the gems before the threat reaches its peak. Another thing to keep in mind would be that just because a pupil is aligned with a master of a certain alliance, doesn't mean the pupil has to be of that alliance. Those with "good" masters can be bad and vice versa. If anyone is even the slightest bit interested in hearing more, leave me a reply, I would love any and all help that anyone would be willing to lend me, thank you so much in advance. PS- I know this isn't great and I'm sorry, but I just wanted to get the idea out there right now, sorry. |

I think that's really interesting actually. Do you have an idea for a concrete storyline? Where do the players start and what is the objective when playing?
Also, I would change the thing that you get control of the master. If you do this as an rp you should just limit the gemstones at the beginning to make sure some people are playing pupils and some the masters, ya know?

Of course! I will welcome any and all help! Seeing as I really don't know where I'm going with this quite yet lol
At the moment I had it set up so the masters were up for claim, but the pupils could be created, however part of me feels that the structure is limiting and a wee bit odd. Also I don't like to limit involvement, so I actually had a lot of spots, seven more traditional powers and a few more conventional ones. I can give examples if needed as well.
I had also had a few plot ideas though they aren't very fleshed out.

Also, I'm good at territories, history, abouts, etc. If you give me just main points and such of those I can type them out.

Well it would probably start off as a fetch quest. The pupils have to team up and with the help of their respective masters find their designated gems so they can use and tame their powers. The plot would probably shift over the course of the adventure with some of the pupils motives aligning with the darker, or banished Gods and some aligning with the Benevolent gods. Each would tell their pupils that the other was the enemy, though the plan was to make the motives of both sides believable, so their is no clear line between good and bad. Something like that.

How about...
The (number of pupils) Pupils now have a mighty quest they must complete. With the help of their masters they will set out to find the magic gems. Darkness is on the rise though as the banished gods try and take over some of the pupils so that their evil may reign. Who will turn bad, who will hold onto the light? Only time can tell during these times.

Well the original idea was that the gods masters were once all on the same plane, so the gems would be found where they were forged. The one Master, Villicus, who was a master of telekinesis and other psychic abilities was the one who first made them gems for the masters, which would allow them for better control of their powers. So the gems would be found where they were forged, and understandably, the cat who was destined for the gem would be the only one who would be able to get to it.
So for example: (Note these are not all of them)
Ruby- Fire
Found deep underground where a stream of ever flowing lava courses through the earth
Sapphire- Water
At the bottom of the clearest lake, don't be fooled, the lake is much deeper than it looks.
Emerald- Earth
In the heart of the tallest tree in the deepest forest.
Amethyst- Psychic
In a cave of glowing stones that is enveloped in a strange glow. It is said that spirits walk here.
Onyx- Shadow
The Well of Shade, a huge pile of rocks within no light enters and voices whisper through the darkness. Cats have been exiled here and driven mad.
That kind of thing. I am still unsure as to where the gems of the fallen masters would be besides the well of shadows. Maybe they would be with the masters themselves. The fallen gods have more of an influence on the physical world than the other gods. So maybe some of the pupils are looking for places, while the others are looking for cats.

Yeah that would work. There is a gem that is supposed to control fear. My thought was that maybe to get to it, the destined cat would have to beat a creature that could turn into their worst fear.
In some way, the location of the gem has to somehow allow the pupil to prove that they have mastered their own element and are ready for the gem itself. One of the more interesting cases is Simulacrum, who is the master of Illusion is known to leech onto his pupil and feed from their negative feelings and once they are no longer effected by him, that would be when they get his gem, which is Obsidian.

Simulacrum was a cat who never wanted to be himself, and once he learned he had the ability to shape shift and change his appearance he used it to taunt cats and latched onto their shadows, his own power growing from their negative emotions. When one cat would break from his influence, he would simply move to the next. Some believe he does this for enjoyment, some think its for survival, but only he knows that it's actually a test. A cat who also holds his power and can resist his influence, will be the one to get his gem

Maybe the lore? Though there isn't much to go on, I can give you the information on the masters ahead of time now if you would like. I only really have their names right now along with their elements. Some have descriptions but I haven't typed them up yet.

Here are the benevolent gods
Lacivio- Ruby- Fire
A dark russet tom with a flaming mane that resembles that of a cheetah. Known for being hotheaded. Also the God Of War.
Velox- Zircon- Electricity
Golden tom with black marble stripes and storm gray eyes, his voice is low and loud like thunder and thunderstorms pool at his paws.
Rima- Emerald- Earth
A turtoiseshell she-cat with bright green eyes and vines that swirl up her forepaws. The Mate of Vilicus.
Corzya- Blue Topaz- Ice
A snow white she-cat with pale blue eyes and very pale silver stripes. A snowflake necklace wreathes around her neck
Caelator- Sapphire- Water
A gray-blue she-cat with deep blue eyes and wave-like designs along her body. She had two powerful, paddle-like tails and large ears along with webbed paws.
Vilicus- Amethyst- Psychic-
A cream tom with violet eyes and waves of pure energy seemingly always encircling him and falling from his fur. His eyes match the shade of the amethyst. He has white paws and underbelly and a very calm disposition.
Aemula- Diamond- Wind
A golden spotted she-cat with seafoam blue eyes and a pair of wings along her back. The last of an extinct race known as Avians. Cats who had somehow developed wings through genetic mutation.
(They are all meant to look mystical in some way. I had thought to bring in the Avains at some point but I'm not sure yet, so at the moment they are extinct.

Hmm.
Okay well let's see if I can knock a few of the locations off.
The Well of Shade- A pile of enormous rocks that come together to form a cave from which no light can escape. In the area around it, nothing grows and the wind simply moves the dust and sand around it in a whirlwind
Thunder Canyon- A large gorge over which a thunderstorm always wrecks havoc. The canyon's stone is so smooth that every crash the storm makes is known to echo for miles
Crystal Cove- A large lake with water so clear one can see right to the bottom, but it's water has fooled many into drowning by thinking that it is shallow, when it is hundreds of feet deep.
Molten Fissure- A cave in the earth that runs so deep that it comes into contact with an ever-flowing lava river
Luminous Cave- A cave with reflective walls and glowing purple stones known to illuminate the fur of any light colored cats
Okay so here is some of the basic locations, feel free to use some creative license if you have any ideas you want to add please do. Descriptions, anything at all, just add it in and let me know. In the center of it all, there is a large, dense forest.
