Yeah, they manage to rescue the kits. Rowanclaw and Nettle were both killed in the process. Nettle wanted to keep the kits because they're his kits. Ah, so that's how he dies. But poor Nettle. What's everyone's reaction to Rowanclaw's death? And what happens to Sleekwhisker? Na na na na, na na na na, hey hey hey, good-bye! |

It sounds like Rowanstar died honorably. That's interesting. I mean, he was a serious jackass (I reread Thunder and Shadow, Shattered Sky, and Darkest Night to refresh my memory for River of Fire, and he was terrible, especially to Violetshine. I defend him against Spikefur, but they're both awful, really -- just one slightly less than the other), but at least he went out with a bang. I wonder if that's how the Clan will remember him, rather than the leader who "let" ShadowClan fall?

There must have been a huge time gap in Tigerheart's Shadow then... I'm guessing at least several moons must have passed when Tigerheart became leader? I mean Dovewing left during the events in Darkest Night, and Rowanclaw was shown to be dead when Tigerheart wanted to get his nine lives; Tigerheart didn't even know he had died, I don't think (I can't really remember the book) so at least six moons or so must have passed while Dovewing and Tigerheart were gone. That's a big time gap there.

He tried hard to keep the Clan together, and even then, he bowed to SkyClan in the hopes that his Clan would survive. It's kind of admirable, if you ask me. He didn't want to see all his Clanmates die out, and he feared his own leadership would lead to their downfall, especially considering Tigerheart left him high and dry. It's no surprise Rowanstar gave up. People rag on him -- again, he was horrible to Violetshine, so he isn't the best cat ever -- but I hardly doubt any leader could have come out any better. If Bramblestar faced something like this, it'd be the same, but of course ThunderClan is too honorable or whatever nonsense. Hell, this same plot could've been given to WindClan, and I can't imagine Onestar getting things under control, either. |

Tawnypelt was ShadowClan's deputy after Tigerheart left. when tawny finally gets the rank she deserves  but then she gets kidnapped, tigerheart comes back and claims leadership, her mate dies and she'll probably not even become deputy of tigerheart and will be too old to ever become leader  |

She deserves to be deputy. She's the only living cat who stuck by ShadowClan until the end and whose loyalty never wavered. Talk about being cut out of what she deserves. I don't like or care for Tawnypelt but I have noticed the disrespect she's been getting from the authors. She ditched ThunderClan for ShadowClan and cats seem to treat her like utter garbage. She's proven her loyalty, didn't want to share her Clan's secrets, not even to her brother, was willing to set aside her own pride to ask Bramblestar for help in BrS because she knew they needed it, she was furious that Blackstar lost faith in StarClan and let a rogue (Sol) take over his clan and destroy it, she always stood by Rowanclaw's side, but even he treats her like trash sometimes. The only ones who are good to her are her kits, and even then one of them betrayed her (Tigerheart) and her clan. It's really sad. She gets treated with so much disrespect by her clan and the authors themselves. What really made me furious is that when she wanted to keep Twigpaw into ShadowClan by saying "it makes sense" that ThunderClan would want to help because Onestar used to be friends with Firestar. Umm.. excuse me? Did you guys forget the battle you had to fight between WindClan and ShadowClan back in Eclipse? Or the fact that Onestar has been trash since he became leader?? They've made Tawnypelt from a clever to a dumb cat. I hate this because they've done this to not only her, but also many other cats, like Snowbush. When I read his death I was pissed. They made him look stupid and apparently Jayfeather cared about herbs more than the lives of his clanmates. What is up with the Erins trashing characters? Seriously... it's insulting. |
