The aliens jumped back, alarmed. The mutated creature squeaked, then scampered off across the room. "Stay back!" Phoenix hissed, keeping the gun trained on the aliens as she moved towards a door. "Or I'll shoot you!" "Silly human," the sword-holding alien hissed. "We're miles above your planet. There's no escape."

Phoenix gulped, the alien was right. But that didn't matter. "you can kill me" she growled "But you'll be risking your damn life for it and hundreds of others!" Okay maybe she didn't have enough bullets to kill hundreds but maybe a few. The aliens looked around alarmed. The alien with the sword snickered. Take her to the prison!" He yelled pointing the sword at her. Phoenix held the gun at the aliens who tried to grab her. "Your not getting anywhere near me!" Phoenix screeched. "Oh you really are a silly human!" the alien chuckled and suddenly a large tube appeared over Phoenix. She heard a very strong wind and tried to put her hands to her ears but the gun took up a whole hand and besides, she could 't move. "I'll kill you!" Phoenix screamed. All the aliens laughed. "Bye bye, silly human!" the alien cackled and Phoenix let out a final scream before she was shot upwards.

"We'll get the Mutantium from the blood later," the sword-holding alien chuckled. "Meanwhile, let's go get her friends. And, while we're at it, take out New York City!" The aliens laughed and cheered, then headed off to other parts of their ship.
Meanwhile, more aliens were heading to Earth, and a multi-species war was about to break out. Every species wanted the Mutantium, and those that got it would rule supreme over billions of other species.

The group was lying in a small timber shed the aliens hadn't bothered to destroy. They were shivering and the shed provided them almost nothing. The boys were looking ahead like they were deep in thought and Ivory was watching Willow softly sleep. Her eyes narrowed as the girls head drifted away from the timber and landed on Edwards shoulder. Edward flinched surprised, but then relaxed not saying a word. Ivory forehead became wrinkled and she layed her head on Jacobs shoulder who didn't move at all. She heard him mumbling something like "Kill...World...Aliens...Phoenix..." she eventually felt her eyes began to shut and drifted into a restless sleep.

Alien scout ships cruised over the land. They zeroed in on heat signals hidden in a shed, then began lightly landing. A Bergandian alien warrior, crowned in a spiked helmet of diamond shards, aimed a plasma gun at the other aliens, all of them different races. "Hufa dana! ("Stay back!") is hissed in its language. "Loua day!" ("They're mine!") A six-legged Hudan didn't like this. It snarled, pulled out a grenade, and charged.

Lily, a 15-year-old girl with long blonde hair and green eyes sat on her knees by a river, crying, her face in her hands. She had heard about the attack, and lost her twin, Sally, to aliens just a little while ago. She was drowning in grief, her tears spilling down into the water. An alien stalked her, but she didn't notice. She wiped her tears away, standing up, her legs shaking and a cut was open on her arm. "Is anyone out there?" She called into the land, her voice echoing slightly as she searched for someone to help. Her arm was stinging, and it was getting worse. She knew it would get infected. Then, the alien lunged for her, and she screamed in shock and fear as it hit her with a crash. It was a stray alien, who followed her and her sister for a long time, and now it found the time to strike. She kicked out with her legs and punched, and began to try and crawl away, yelling still for help. Her dull purple shirt that said Eat Sleep Play Mario Repeat Was torn and tattered, and her blue jeans were ripped at the bottom. Her hair was in a messy ponytail, and her face was bleeding.

The alien, a Gaduan, was surprised by the human girl's resistance. It stumbled back into the river, dropping its fire sword. The human shouted in its language, then turned and ran. The alien scrambled out of the river, then heard the rumble of a passing scout ship. It hovered over the ruins of a building, then fired several times. What was left collapsed. The Gadaun snorted at this destruction of possible housing, then turned and stalked after the human girl.

Lily limped along the terrain, still calling out for help. She held back tears, trying to stay strong. She had covered up her face with leaves and honey to stop the bleeding, and her leg was badly injured from tripping over a log. She winced as it hit a rock, but she dragged herself on. "Is anyone out there? I need help! I'm hurt!" She yelled, her voice hoarse.

"Hey!" Edward said. "I hear someone!" Ivory peeked out of the shed, then ducked back into hiding. "There's an injured girl out there," she said. "But also aliens! We're surrounded!" "What do we do?" Willow asked.

Lily collapsed, still calling out for help. She glanced around, looking for someone to help her. She stopped calling, panting. She attempted to stand up, but she couldn't. She crawled off, wincing in pain as her injured leg caught all the sticks, stones, and thorns on the ground. "Wait," She suddenly remembered she had her phone. She stopped and checked her pocket. There was her phone, with a Firestar case on it. The screen was cracked, but she tried calling relatives, but they wouldn't respond. She groaned in rage and tried to move on.

Abruptly, one of the aliens' ships cruised overhead. Lily froze, ducking under a train carriage. Where it had come from, she had no idea. The ship was about the size of an aircraft carrier, with large guns or cannons or whatever placed along the side. It hovered above the train carriage, and then abruptly began firing at it. Lily leaped away, the shockwave throwing her backwards. Everything went black.

Lily moaned and opened her eyes. She was covered in blood. How long had it been? She tried to drag herself away from the train carriage, but then she realized she was paralyzed. She cried out, her frozen body aching. She called out again, tears streaming down her face as she tried to move. She screamed in frustration, grief, and fear.

Human militaries had been decimated, but they still remained. Using salvaged alien technology, they flew from place to place, rescuing injured civilians. It was a last-ditch effort to save humanity.
