oh no, i trained at my uncles store for 2 weeks but i was gonna be working at my store
ya but i wish we didn't have to do the lunch bc it just inconveniences things in my opinion. id rather work a straight 9 or a straight 8 no breaks at all
i hate taking a break

Wanting to work 9 hours without a break. I don't mind with my job since it's usually slow and I get to sit down some, but I wouldn't want to be on my feet 9 hours straight without at least a 15 minute break or 2.

oh ya idk...i need to be constantly moving....im always running around lol people are always telling me to slow down cause i run around like a crazy person
i just....dont like taking breaks....idk....
i only started taking breaks when i was required with full time
when i work part time, id never take a break, whether i worked 5 hours or 8 hours. idk. i just have to keep busy.
plus...i hate going up to take a break and then coming back down cause its awk to me and my store is FREEZING so like when I'm moving, i stay "warm" but then when i come back down I'm freezing again and the chill never leaves and i want to not do anything...just wanna leave

Staying busy makes the night go faster, but if I don't get a few minutes to myself to organize stuff the way I want it's maddening. For example, I've learned that 2nd shift isn't the most organized, they make mistakes like they will assign someone room 123 in the computer but then make the keys for 132, so the guest not knowing any different will go to 132, then later on if I actually check someone into 132 it can get pretty ugly. I need like 5 minutes to check everything and put it the way I want.
Next weekend (Derby) is going to be a madhouse, and considering what people are paying, mistakes like that can NOT happen.
What do you have to do to catch back up for Mother's Day? Is it about what you need to order, or can you start preassembling stuff?

Is it about what you need to order, or can you start preassembling stuff? well ya, me running around includes making everything need and organized xD good gosh, my department needs to be cleaned spotless lol good luck! hopefully it goes smoothly! well, see the problem is- with easter, we stop in-store ordering for 2 weeks bc it is so busy so 4 months before easter, we have to fill out a survey to determine how much will be allocated to the stores based on expected sales so like all the stuff for easter had been coming in the past 2 weeks and we werent allowed to order anything. today was the day after easter and so we weren't allowed to start ordering til tuesday after easter...except, my store doesn't do ordering on tuesday. so wed would be the order, except I'm off on wed so i cant order til at least thursday which means ill be without product til fri. but i also don't know what is even available in the warehouses. the thing is though too is we only got 3 days worth of orders from the easter survey- there was over 120 cases of product that i didn't even get in bc were were on strike and i won't be getting any of that in of course. the issue with mothers day is that it is also a huge holiday with another survey which means we aren't allowed to order for 2 weeks. so i might be able to order a little next week but then i won't be able to order any more bc we will be on the survey but they might bring it earlier bc we are so low on product atm. but the district manager is also really not letting us order even though we have nothing bc the stores need to get back up and they don't want us spending much so like...idk. even if i do order anything, its gonna be very little that I'm gonna be so behind. additionally, i do also need to organize the whole department and tear everything down and build it back up for the mothers day displays...except, i have no decor lol and i cant go buy stuff bc the store doesn't have the money so i gotta work with what i got but like..again, its nothing on top of this all, my graduation is may 10 and 11th and mothers day is the 12th so like. my manager is not happy and thats 2 days ill be behind.....and....its gonna be crazy trying to set up early. plus, of course, i also still work part time in produce so like. working 2 departments is...um fun. esp with all going on |

I am FINALLY finished with the outdoor stuff. Words cannot express how happy I am about this. I also discovered working in the front flower bed today that in addition to the robins that made their nest on my back porch gutter, cardinals have also made a nest in one of my front bushes.
