Well next week i'm going to see my paternal grandmother and meet her in person for the first time. I'm kinda nervous about it in case my bio dad shows up because i do not want to see him even though my relationship with her is pretty okay its still feels new and just... worrying what will happen but Dakota has assured me if I feel uncomfortable we can just come home early.
I guess my hope is that it'll be fine and I can have some kind of connection with blood-related family again that isnt toxic or going to do something that hurts me. But at least even at worse, I can say I know more about her and say that I did it. her health hasn't been good either so I wanted to do this at least once before I maybe can't. I'm still kind of holding on to the idea that it goes well and I can just have family in my life again in some capacity.

I just went camping and so meds are weird and stuff and TWO of my friends, at DIFFERENT TIMES, came up to me, looked at the pills in my hand, and went “yo is that fluoxetine” and I went yeah why. “Pill pals”. Wooo friends with depression meds! |

I love pill pals, it makes me feel less alone in my mental journey.
I'm going to have to do something when I come back from NC about my mental health. Probably try to get back in with my old psychologist, then maybe contact the psychiatrist about changing my meds.
I actually had a good day yesterday - nothing special, I was just on top of my game for some reason. Even cheerful enough to do some book hunting (with success!), which I haven't cared much about for months now. Haven't really cared about much of anything lately, just getting through the day seemed all I could muster. I realized I miss that version of me. She's a good person.

Yo, i'm so mad right now...
We dyed my hair with semi permanent dye on Saturday. It's supposed to fade by 35 washes, and I wash my hair every day- so about a month. But now, its only been two days, and my hair is already back to its natraul color with scraps of faded color. Disappointing.

Sorry for the late reply, but it was good, we watched a movie I think? TW: violence There was a point Friday where I wondered if I would rather be at work than on vacation (had food poisoning Thurs night, then went to my mom's anyway Friday to do manual labor for her which my body did NOT thank me for). Turns out the food poisoning was the better option - That night at work, there were roughly 30 teenagers in the parking lot brawling, extending to the breakfast area (drinks got thrown, a guy punched a girl in the face), and to top it all off, there were 3 adults in the parking lot at the same time (in charge of the teens) wearing ski masks and openly carrying guns around. |
