mk so I've been really itching to do something like this but this isn't really the type of thing people are looking for so I honestly don't know if I'll have any takers.
Basically, our characters never meet. At all. They rarely, if ever, see each other, they don't interact, they don't even have the same friend groups.
That doesn't mean their choices don't impact the other, however. My character breaks a few things after school hours and now there's new rules put in place to prevent your character from running their club. Your character leaves a bit of graffiti in the street that causes my character to change their mind on how to deal with a strained relationship. Our character's worlds are parallels to each other, and while your character is fighting off dragons with their magic it causes power surges to ripple down time and start mutations in the world my character lives in, throwing their life in shambles as their best friend realizes they now can read minds.
However, doing a roleplay in this style means I need to find a partner who is both willing and capable of writing (and reading) long replies. We're basically bouncing off the other's work and incorporating their ideas into our own separate stories. I'm looking for someone who can do their own thing for a few thousand words, but not be afraid to change directions when my characters start messing with your plans (and someone who isn't afraid to mess with mine). Also someone who is willing to communicate and brainstorm constantly.
The concept isn't limited to one genre. Basically anything fits. Even if you want to only do realism, I could make my side fantasy and have your character oblivious to the existence of mine, yet have the actions of the supernatural impact the physical world around them, perhaps in a haunted house type fashion or even larger scale with natural disasters. Most anything mixes quite well and I'm open to any suggestions (though don't make them too heavy fandom based; maybe a bit is fine but those usually have rules we're not allowed to break and that's no fun). Also willing to do cats if that's what you're wanting to do. I have a few worlds there I would love to flesh out more.
I'll probably only be taking one or two partners for this since it does require a bit of dedication in terms of writing longer replies and figuring out how to mesh our separate worlds. I won't be vetting you; if you post, I'm trusting that you're willing to do those 2k stretches without a partner to bounce reactions off of and can hold a plot and characters on your own. If you know you're a one-paragrapher or run out of ideas quickly this isn't the kind of plot for you.
So yeah just post a genre/plot idea if you're interested ^^
