Ooc: Okay, I will check. Do you mind if I roleplay with Cinderpaw? (I just did a random pick xD) I will post the starter. By the way, I am extremely sorry that this is short.
Rp: Emberpaw sat on her perch on top a rock in front of the apprentice den, and she stared owlishly around the camp. She blinked as she noticed Cinderpaw, "Hey Cinderpaw!" She mewed cheerfully, "How are you today? She dropped her mouse she had been carrying in front of the apprentice, "Want to share?"

Burntpetal To: Feathersong "Yes, Feathersong, I would be very grateful if you could help me back to my nest and bring me something to eat. I haven't had anything today." Burntpetal parted her jaws into a yawn, realizing how tired she was. She greatly appreciated Feathersong's help with her kits. She didn't know what she'd do without him. "If you have extra feathers to spare, it would be great to have them in my nest, but don't feel like you need to go out of your way to find some." She hated feeling like she wasn't capable of doing tings for herself, but truthfully, when you have newborn kits, you really can't do much for yourself. Anyone who was willing to help her was someone she was very thankful for.
Dogpaw To: Owlpaw Dogpaw had just finished hunting with his mentor, and he bounded into camp with his tail held high. He had caught three plump mice that would feed multiple cats. He was very proud of himself. His mentor gave him the single that he could take something to eat, so he picked up one of the mice he'd caught and looked around. Owlpaw was emerging from the apprentice's den. Dogpaw padded over to him. He had recently been made an apprentice, and Dogpaw hadn't really gotten to know him much. Maybe he'd like to share a mouse with him. "Hi Owlpaw. Amberstone said I could eat, and I was wondering if you wanted to share?" Dogpaw ducked his head, slightly nervous. He wasn't very good at making friends, and despite Owlpaw's small size, he couldn't help but feel intimidated by the younger apprentice. "Then maybe we could go out and hunt or something? Camp seems kind of crowded today."

Cinderpaw replying to Emberpaw.
As one of the older apprentices, Cinderpaw didn't often find himself interacting with them. He was close with Maplesnow as she had been an apprentice alongside him for a long time; and yet, he felt like he should've graduated by now. He knew he'd made it harder on himself, but he wasn't entirely sure on how to go about his Trial. Ah, well. It would be a little while before he could try it again.
He'd been trying to work up the courage to approach his mentor to take him out - but it seemed that Ashstar had beaten him to it. He twitched an ear and glanced away, focused on watching the camp, instead. He'd seen Ghostpaw leave with someone else previously, and from the corner of his eye, he could see Vixenpaw speaking with her mentor and Ebonybird. It seemed that every apprentice was engaged in some kind of conversation, but that didn't bother him. He was content to sit on his own, paws tucked underneath his slender body and ears half-flattened.
When a voice broke his thoughts and a mouse dropped in front of him, his narrowed gaze flicked to see who it was. Oh. A younger apprentice. Cinderpaw tilted his head to the side and studied her for a moment, before he pushed himself into a sitting position and shook his head.
"Thank you for the offer, but I'll pass; I've already eaten today. Your mouse is yours to eat."
Feathersong replying to Burntpetal.
The fact that the queen hadn't eaten yet today concerned him - but he let it pass, for now. His nose told him that there was probably a wide selection of prey; fresh rabbit, fresh birds, fresh fish. Since prey was no issue, he dipped his head and decided that he'd get her a large piece of prey to keep her energy up.
"Of course," said Feathersong, tail-tip twitching. "There are usually feathers in the Medicine Cat den. Ashfur has a habit of pulling from whatever he eats, and he brought in a new batch earlier. I can get them for you. Ah," his sightless eyes blinked, and he tilted his head. "Would you like me to carry two of your kits and you carry one?"
It seemed like a good idea, but he knew that many queens could be possessive over kits. It was possible she wanted to carry them all; but he hoped not, as it was harder to do. The young tom stood and positioning himself so that Burntpetal could lean against him if she so wished. He didn't want her to have to do more than necessary.
Owlpaw replying to Dogpaw.
His apprentice ceremony had been performed with a dying leader and a dim atmosphere around the camp, and Owlpaw could not care less. His senses were overwhelmed, and he didn't think that anything would've been too bad even if he'd ended up stuck in the nursery for a little longer; it seemed that there were new kits there, and he was a little disappointed that he couldn't see them. Oh, well.
With nothing in particular to do, he'd been batting around a mossball with a fluffed-up tail and his back arched, pretending it was a warrior from a distant land. I will conquer you, for I am Owlpaw of MoltenClan, the mightiest apprentice there ever was, he thought, hooking his claws into the mossball and batting it away once again, tiny paws making quick work of the packed earth beneath them. Owlpaw turned in a circle before he glanced up at the scent of someone new, squinting at them thoughtfully. Oh, Dogpaw of...of...DarkClan, how dare you enter my territory? You wish to share prey and go hunting? Hm. Very well.
He realised, after a moment, that he had not said any of that out loud.
"Hi Dogpaw," the young tom chirped, sitting down and batting the mossball away. He flicked some of the leftover moss from underneath his claws, wrinkling his nose a little. "I don't know if I'm allowed to eat but yes and yes, please."
Owlpaw wanted to go out and explore the world - but hunting with an older apprentice seemed like a good idea. His eyes narrowed thoughtfully and he tilted his head, studying the larger tom with a keen look to his eyes. He glanced to the entrance and then back, and his whiskers twitched, but he said nothing more and waited expectantly.

"Well I hope whatever Ashstar chooses suits you! You deserve a nice name," he purred. "He deserves it?" Ravenpaw questioned his own words before realizing, "Well pft of course he does!" To Ravenpaw, Ghostpaw seemed a bit lonely and insecure. That's why he thought that Ghostpaw deserved something nice to let himself feel better. It was a sort of pity that he felt for the other cat, but he wouldn't dare belittle Ghostpaw by explaining.
Although he didn't know why the white tom disliked his own name so much, he could understand that a name was important to cats. Even though he said that it wasn't a big deal, that was just a desperate attempt to try and comfort Ghostpaw. Names would be a cat's identity until death. It would be what they would be called by. Ravenpaw shrugged it off, deciding that it would be Ghostpaw's choice to tell him his reason for hating his name.
For the first time in a while, Ravenpaw was quiet. He was thinking more than speaking, intrigued by Ghostpaw. He began comparing himself to the other apprentice, both physically and mentally. Obviously, their pelts were colored oppositely to each other. Ghostpaw with white fur and dark markings and Ravenpaw with black fur and white markings. Their personalities were similar yet different at the same time. Both were quiet, but the moment anyone was friendly to Ravenpaw, he was a spark of energy. They were both sort of lonely too, but not quite. He wondered if Ghostpaw compared himself with other cats. Ravenpaw hoped not. It wasn't too healthy to constantly think of yourself as higher or lower than others. Or maybe self-assessment was good. He didn't know.
He snapped out of his quiet state upon tripping on a tree root. The apprentice let out a small gasp of surprise while falling and having his back leg collide with the ground. Ravenpaw felt a little dumb not paying attention to his surroundings, but it wasn't too big of an injury so it wasn't too much of a problem for him. He laughed sort of nervously and stuttered, "M-my bad. Let's k-keep going."

no, i didn't. i said at least two would likely be apprentices but i don't want characters made just for the prophecy - that's not fun. i'm only looking at people who've remained active so far, are willing to participate, and have characters who are integrated into the clan. older members with higher priority for this first prophecy would have higher priority - zombiegrrl, dawn, etc.

Wrenstorm nodded, frowning to herself. She had tried to keep the fox out of her mind, but she knew she couldn't if she wanted to be smart. The elder wished she could take her friend to that spot, to make some new memories or atleast reminisce in the old ones but she'd be lying if she said she could fend off a fox. She couldn't even stand up after laying down without being in some kind of pain. "Yeah. Well, once this fox is out of our fur we could definitely go and visit and take a dip. My old bones could probably use it." she chuckled. Once they were a little farther out from the camp she stilled her movements, opening her mouth to taste the air for prey. The scent of squirrel hit the roof of her mouth and she felt a swell of energy in her chest as she flicked Riverwillow with her tail, letting her know prey was nearby if she hadn't scented it before the elder.
Lotuswaves wanted to jump around for her apprentice but she decided against in, tuning her energy into a soft encouraging tone. "Applepaw, that was an amazing catch, you did everything perfectly." The orange she-cats chest swelled once again with pride. "Do you want to bury that and move on for some more prey? I'll watch your next catch and after that we can head back to camp with the spoils of your training." the she-cat mused. They had been out for a little bit and she knew a lot of cats were out hunting at the moment either way.
Riverwillow, though quite adept at hunting, had not scented the squirrel... Her brain was busy reminiscing. She didn't remember much of her family from before the clan, She only remembered that she had a mother... she didn't remember a father. Well, she barely remembered her mother. She did remember, however, that her mother had called her River... She kept that name, she told Crowstrike she had kept it because she was used to it...Though in reality, she kept it in the hopes of running into her mother one day... When Wrenstrike swatted at Riverwillow with her tail she flinched slightly, she then moved to where she hoped the squirrel would not smell her. She watched Wrenstrike, as she always had, hoping to pick up on any hunting technique she hadn't seen before.Wrenstorm kept herself hovering above the ground beneath her except for her paws which ghosted along the earth as she maneuvered her way towards the source of the scent that was wafting towards her. She saw the squrriel a few tail-lengths away from the base of a tree, busying itself with grooming its own tail. The elderly she-cat felt her whiskers wiggle with anticipation as she reared up and leaped onto the unsuspecting prey, claws out. She felt her talons purchase into the squrriels flesh and everything leading up to the preys death was quick. She felt minor aches from the sudden activity but it could not outshine her pride or happiness as she nodded at Riverwillow "Ah, I feel like an apprentice again." She laughed softly.

Ghostpaw replying to Ravenpaw.
I hope so, he thought, but did not say. Ghostpaw could honestly only hope that he got something pleasant; perhaps he would get Ghostleaf despite not being part of the Medicine Cat Den, or perhaps he'd be given something unique like...well, like Ghostowl. There were many options and he wasn't sure how leaders chose the names of their warriors - he wondered, idly, if they could request a name or if that was for a special situation. He knew why a few of the warriors in MoltenClan had their names (they were often obvious), but he didn't understand why others did. If I could've named myself, he mused to himself, glancing up at the mountain beyond, I would name myself Spottedpaw, or something.
But those were the dreams of a cat that didn't quite belong, and he would accept what he had been given. It was through the kindness of MoltenClan that he was even here, and he could accept that, mostly.
The silence was rather pleasant; he was the sort of cat who enjoyed comfortable silences like this. There were no expectations and no pressure put on him to continue the conversation, and that was nice. Yes, he needed to learn to interact better, needed to talk to the Medicine Cats to see if they could help him a little; but for now, he was content in the interactions he'd gotten. He didn't think talking to Emberpaw had gone too terribly. But then again, what did he know? It was possible he'd offended cats by not talking. The woes of being a quiet cat.
Ravenpaw's gasp broke through his thoughts and he blinked rapidly before turning to look at his fellow apprentice, eyes widened slightly. His ears half-flattened and he approached the other tom, glancing to the leg that he thought had been hurt.
"A-a-are you sure? We - we sh-should probably get tha-that checked o-o-out," he said softly. He didn't want to pressure Ravenpw into continuing their adventure if he was hurt. "I-if you wa-ant, we can c-c-collect our, our prey and we can g-g-go back to camp f-for now, so that you c-c-can rest?"

Ravenpaw licked his injury and exclaimed, "No! I'm fine. It's no big deal. Don't worry about it. If it starts hurting too much I'll let you know." That was a lie. He actually wasn't too sure about the seriousness of the injury and he wasn't going to be going back to camp because of a dumb scratch. Plus, he didn't want Ghostpaw to worry too much about it.
The black tom got up, shaking his leg a bit and smiling at Ghostpaw to prove it was okay. The very slight limp in his step said otherwise, but he tried his best to hide it. In truth, it didn't hurt Ravenpaw all that much. It was just an obnoxious stinging pain that would eventually leave him. Nothing to get too worked up about.
Trying to pull the attention off of his leg, the apprentice asked, "Anyways, what's been going on with you recently? Any news?" At this point Ravenpaw wasn't sure if he already asked this question before since it was such a basic question to ask, but he hoped not. That would make him look pretty dumb, and that's the last thing he wanted right now after his careless mistake.
While waiting for Ghostpaw to answer, he started thinking about his own answer. He hadn't been doing much recently. Just normal hunting and sitting around camp. Sometimes he relaxed by the river but it wasn't anything special. He had already told Ghostpaw about his hobby of collecting pretty objects. Ravenpaw soon realized that this question wouldn't really lead to an interesting conversation, but he didn't mind much. Just as long as it was enough to distract Ghostpaw from his injury, it was fine. And who knows, Ghostpaw might have something interesting that they could talk about.
He also took this small quiet time to look at his surroundings, examining the colors of the trees and the long grass brushing against his fur. It was nice, calming almost. The warm breeze easily brushed through his short fur and it gave him a strange and sudden feeling of peace. The only time he really scanned over the territory this much was when he was hunting, and even then he didn't think of the aesthetics of the place too much. It was relaxing. "I should do this more sometimes," Ravenpaw thought.
(ravenpaw would probably make "jewelry" out of the things he's collected tbh)

Ghostpaw replying to Ravenpaw.
One ear twitched with something like irritation; though not a short-tempered cat, he was rather worried. He didn't know Ravenpaw very well, however, and knew that he could not call out a lie even if he thought he saw it - perhaps it was his own imagination that played tricks on him, told him that there was an issue or a falsehood where there wasn't actually one. His gaze flicked down to the limp in the older tom's step and he decided that no, he was not imagining the false words.
Though mildly frustrated, he knew that he couldn't say anything that would have sway over Ravenpaw. He was not a particularly convincing nor charismatic cat, he didn't know how to make others listen to him - and so he let it go, because that was the best option.
"No-no-not much h-has been going on wi-wi-with me," he said softly, hopping over a partial fallen log. It looked like it had been on the forest floor for many a moon; it had seen many things, he thought.
He realised that his life was rather boring, as far as a clan cat's went. He didn't have any drama happening, didn't really have any friends, didn't really know if he had romantic options - it was just a thing that hadn't occurred to him before. Ghostpaw was the sort of cat who did his training and listened to warriors when they told him not to do something. He did as he was told, and that meant that this little exploration was, perhaps, the most mischief he'd caused. He liked being free, too; exploring the territory as he pleased, deciding what to hunt. No, he couldn't eat it - but it was still freeing to be out without a warrior, without any expectations put upon him.
"The - the - the Frog Pond is u-up ahead," it was an observation, more than anything. The slender tom lifted his head and scented the air; the reptiles had such a distinct scent, to his sensitive nose. He knew that during the Leafbare months it was at its safest, that its usual inhabitants would be sleeping. Now, however, he suspected that they'd be waking up and more active, that the entire area would be more dangerous.
Before he could say anything more, however, a twig broke - not too far from his right. For a moment too long, Ghostpaw froze before he crouched down, eyes widening and ears flattening. Had a warrior finally come to stop their explorations, or had the fox picked up on their scent? It was neither, he realised. A young fawn stumbled nearby, seemingly unaware of its surroundings and yet without a mother. His jaws parted as he thought about the fawns and deer that warriors rarely brought back - and he turned his gaze to Ravenpaw.
"It-it, it hasn't noticed us," he whispered, voice as quiet as it could go - which was, unsurprisingly, very quiet. "We...w-w-we could try to c-c-catch it."
( ah that's pretty cute lul )
