Ashstar ;;
When Briarsong asked to join him, he faltered for a moment. It seemed that he would not finish his meal - but that was fine. With his paw, he absently pushed the bird towards her.
"Sure," he mewed smoothly. There wasn't much of a point in denying the warrior a meal; he'd already pulled out the feathers from the bird (though he hadn't needed to), and it was sometimes better to share prey with others. Admittedly, that meant that he'd probably end up going back to the fresh-kill pile a little after sunhigh, but...ah, whatever. Ashstar didn't care too much about that.

((Lol I was gonna have her go back to the freshkill pile))
Briarsong grinned, “No, that’s yours- you eat it! I’m going to grab something from the fresh-kill pile.” Without waiting for a response she turned around quickly and padded over to the fresh-kill pile, she nodded politely towards those who were there and picked up the small snake she had caught earlier. She then padded back over to Ashstar and layed down next to him. “It was very kind of you to offer your meal to me.” She grinned, She then began to eat her meal.

Burntpetal To: @borderline Burntpetal was heavy with kits, having trouble walking from the fresh-kill pile back to the nursery. Two apprentices had brought food for Redwish, but there hadn't been enough for her to have some as well. She sighed, realizing how little the cats in this clan cared about her. She had only really been friends with her mate, and he was dead. On top of that, her daughter despised her. It was all very depressing, and all she wanted was to have her kits, so she had someone in the clan who loved her. She wondered what her kits would look like, and how they would behave. Scarletnight had been a quiet kit, not very friendly with anyone around her, most likely due to the fact that she had no siblings, so she wasn't very good at socializing. Burntpetal hoped her second litter of kits would be more fun and kind-hearted. Suddenly, she felt a sharp pain and collapsed to the ground. She let out a yowl of surprise. She spotted Feathersong in the distance. "Feathersong! I think I might be having my kits!"

Wrenstorm chuckled softly as she lowered herself to take the first few bites of the rabbit. "Don't worry" she rasped softly "I'll do my best to help you catch some more. I know how you are." she waited for the other she-cat to take her few bites before she started in again. The rabbit was healthy and tasted amazing. The elder hummed her approval. "I'll be happy if I'll catch a rabbit like this one, thats for sure.
Lotuswaves looked at her apprentice amused but also slightly in awe of the energy her. "I believe it, but it will be easier to do when you aren't crashing around like that." she scanned around the thick forest around them. "Honestly, I don't know if theres any way to really measure our territory. But it ends, I promise." After heading a bit deeper into the forest she stopped, raising what little of a tail she had to signal Applepaw to stop. "Now, open your mouth a little, take the air in through your mouth and tell me what you smell."

[ ashstar's train of thought confirmed for the worst (^: "u wanna sit w me?? ig u gotta have my prey ):" ]
Ashstar ;;
Oh. Okay. Ashstar blinked owlishly and tilted his head, before he looked down at his bird. I am but a simple fool, he thought. He wasn't sure why he'd assumed that the warrior had to have his food - but he rolled his shoulders in a shrug and settled down to eat the rest of his meal, glad that he didn't have to pick anything up later. Perhaps he was just used to sharing his food; it was the sort of thing that had been common, at one point.
"Ah," he blinked again. "It was just...natural, I suppose."
He had been called many things before, but never kind. It was strange to hear, but he didn't think he minded it.
Ghostpaw ;;
Having left the nursery with no real goal in mind, Ghostpaw found himself standing awkwardly near the apprentice den, ears twitching at every little sound and tail lashing back and forth. He found that there wasn't much to do in the camp, and that he was already bored. He could sneak out - it was easy enough to do - but doing so alone was boring. His dark gaze scanned around temporarily before he padded over to one of the bushes surrounding camp. His fur was short like most of MoltenClan's, yes; but it was coarse enough that he thought, perhaps, that he could push himself underneath these bushes.
What do I look like? he wondered, whiskers twitching in amusement as he nosed at the leaves of the bushes. The slender tom took a few steps back and sat on his back legs, front paws lifting from the ground. From the corner of his eye, he could see a senior warrior - Poppytail, he realised - watching him, and he felt himself warm beneath his fur. He then glanced to what she seemed to be gesturing, and a little oh escaped him.
After standing still and trying to work up his courage (being nervous was, perhaps, the most awful thing), he padded shyly towards Ravenpaw and twitched his tail-tip.
"Do - do - do you want to go ex-exploring with me?" he asked in a hushed tone.
Feathersong ;;
He'd just entered camp with a mouthful of feverfew, but upon hearing Burntpetal cry out, his ears perked forward and he hesitated only momentarily. Pebblepool's not here, was his initial thought, but he nodded to the queen and quickly darted into the medicine cat den. He scented around until he found the herbs he needed, and then he rushed to the queen's side.
"Alright," he said softly, "I know it's hard, but it will be easier if you're calm. I've brought you a stick to bite on, alright?"
Feathersong pushed it towards her, and half-pinned his ears. He hadn't really helped in this sort of thing; his apprenticeship had been towards the end of the seasons where kits were more common. While worried, he knew, theoretically, what he had to do. It'll be okay, he told himself firmly, she'll be okay and her kits are likely healthy. It's very rare that things go wrong.

SORRELWING | Camp | Crowstrike
Sorrelwing's gaze followed Crowstrike's towards Riverwillow as she sat with Wrenstrike. The two she-cats seemed happy as they began to eat together. "She's a good cat - she's always bringing prey into the camp. I could probably thank her for this," Sorrelwing gestured to her mouse. Then she thought about her son, and shrugged slightly, "He seems to be doing well - he is determined to do his best." She meowed. She hadn't spoken to her son in a few days. It seemed cruel, but she could hardly bare to look at him without flashes of her ex-mate flashing into her brain. It was obvious that she was still devastated over his death that took place moons ago. Sorrelwing bent down and began scoffing down her mouse, which was small and gone after a few mouthfuls, but it was enough to cure her hunger.

((okay but like.. Ashstar is ADORABLE. that was cute af))
Briarsong smiled, and then took a bite of her snake, which she didn't particularly enjoy, but she ate it anyway. She saw no use in discarding perfectly good prey simply just because it wasn't her fancy. She sat quietly with Ashstar while she ate for a while until she turned to him and asked, "How are you feeling? About being leader and so on?" she knew it was a rather odd question to ask but she was genuinely curious as to how he felt about the matter.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The she-cat laughed, "I was just planning another outing to make up for eating now!" she giggled, "I would love your company during an excursion." Riverwillow heard Burntpetal cry out for Feathersong, she turned her head to watch for a moment before looking back to Wrenstorm. "Burntpetal is having her kits! soon we will be able to play with them!" she smiled, but just for a moment. Her smile faded rather quickly as she started to think about the idea of having kits, she had always wanted them but feared she would never find a mate due to her closed off nature. She shook herself out of it, hoping Wrenstorm hadn't noticed
Burntpetal To: @borderline aether 𝖘𝖆𝖚𝖈𝖎 𝖘𝖕𝖆𝖌𝖍𝖊𝖙𝖙𝖎 ♥𝒵𝒪𝑀𝐵𝐼𝐸𝒢𝑅𝑅𝐿♥ Burntpetal nodded, taking the stick in her mouth. She tried to breathe through her nose as calmly as she could. She wasn't scared; everything with Scarletnight's birth had gone fine, and she was sure this one would go fine too. She just wished her daughter was here to meet her new siblings. She sighed through her nose and closed her eyes. Burntpetal trusted Feathersong completely to take care of her, and if anything went wrong, no blame would be placed on him from her. (Annnnnnnnddddd skip!) Four kits! Great Starclan, she was exhausted. This was such a difference from her first litter which was just one kit. She looked down at her kits, feeling warmth flood her chest. They were all so beautiful. Two toms and two she-kits. They were everything she had hoped for and more. As she licked them gently, she looked at Feathersong. Slowly, she lifted her head, feeling slightly dizzy. "Thank you, Feathersong." She looked back down at her kits, gazing lovingly at them. Suddenly it occurred to her that she would have no help in naming them. This made her a little sad. Thinking of the medicine cat apprentice sitting next to her, she hatched an idea. "Would you help me name them?"
Crowstrike saw a tinge of sadness upon Sorrelwings face, and could only imagine she was thinking of Kestrelclaw. "She is quite the hunter, though I fear she would do poorly in a battle. She's quick but lacks strength," he stated honestly analyzing her as if she were an apprentice. "Serpentsong tells me that Coalpaw is doing well in training. I'm sure you're proud of him." he smiled. What he wanted to say was that Kestrelclaw would be proud of him.. but he feared that would only give the she-cat sorrow.
Sandkit | Nursery | Burntpetal, Feathersong, Siblings dawn
The tiny she-kit nuzzled her mother, mewling pitifully as she reached with out-stretched claws in search of milk. It was strange how fast instincts can kick in for such small, helpless creatures. Soon she was suckling and quiet, peaceful and tired. She hadn't the ability to open her eyes and mewling had drained her strength. She was so tiny, and so peaceful and precious.
SORRELWING | Camp | Crowstrike ♥𝒵𝒪𝑀𝐵𝐼𝐸𝒢𝑅𝑅𝐿♥
Sorrelwing nodded to Crowstrike's analysis of his foster sister. Sorrelwing agreed with him, while she didn't interact much with the she-cat, she'd seen her around camp plenty of times. "She sounds very promising," She meowed with another small smile. At the mention of hunting, she felt a spark in her mind. She wouldn't mind going out hunting, to run and jump and be outside for a while, be a hunter - be someone other than herself. She turned her head back to Crowstrike when he commented about Coalpaw and she nodded, "Yes, I am." It wasn't a lie, she was proud of her son, but just didn't interact with him much. But she watched from afar, watched her son grow older and stronger, and eventually she'll watch him become a warrior too. "Say, you wouldn't a hunt, would you?" She blurted. Usually she'd sneak out alone, but Crowstrike was company she enjoyed.
Ravenpaw had been sitting quietly for a while before he quickly lifted his head to meet Ghostpaw's face. The black tom eyed Ghostpaw's pelt, which he couldn't help but admire for its pretty pattern and colors. He looked down again, licking his chest fur in embarrassment that he had been staring. The apprentice, filled with joy, squeaked, "Sure!" Once again he became flustered, and this time by his excitement very obviously spilling out in his speech. He took a deep breath and spoke again, "I-I mean, sure, let's go."
Ravenpaw rose to his paws, flicking his tail to signal to the younger apprentice. Albeit he wasn't that much older than Ghostpaw, but he still wanted to set a good example. "Where should we go first?" Ravenpaw purred, "I'd like to go to the forest or something like that but it's your choice." Ravenpaw really hoped that Ghostpaw would agree with him on his selection but he dare not force anything onto Ghostpaw. He then started to walk towards the exit of the camp, expecting the white cat to follow after. It had been a while since Ravenpaw had really spent some quality time with some of his clanmates, so he was quite eager about the exploration ahead of them.
Wrenstorm smiled softly. She had never had the chance to have kits and her mate had died many moons ago. She shared a brief moment of grieving and sadness that she shared with the younger warrior next to her. She glanced from the nursery to Riverwillow. She was the closest she ever had to daughter, and she felt that in that respect she should try to help Riverwillow through anything and everything the other she-cat would allow her. Her gaze softened "Where did you go?" she asked, referring to the brief shift in mood.
Crowstrike was surprised when Sorrelwing asked him if he'd like to go hunting, he smiled, "Any excuse to stretch these old bones." he joked. He was glad she asked him to join her, as he'd typically just catch her sneaking out... with this fox on the loose that was rather worrisome for him. He had every right to ask Riverwillow to not hunt alone, not that she'd listen, but he had no place asking Sorrelwing not to hunt alone.
Riverwillow looked over towards Wrenstorm, this she-cat had been like a mother to her...though she wasn't quite sure how to word the emotions she was feeling. " I uh, don't interact much with our clanmates... especially toms, and a large part of me fears that because of my origins, I will never have a mate...or kits." she admitted, surprised that she was able to get that all out without tearing up or stumbling upon her words.
SORRELWING | Camp | Crowstrike
Sorrelwing nodded, with her little smile on her face, "Indeed," she meowed. She stood up, her belly full enough from her mouse, and she shook her pelt. "We'll see which between us can catch the most," it was a challenge, but it was friendly. She glanced towards the apprentice den where Coalpaw was grooming his pelt in some shade, then she turned towards the camp entrance. As she walked out, she kept her ears alert. With the fox sneaking around, she knew to be extra cautious. Even when she was alone she spent extra time making sure the coast was clear, but she'd never encountered the fox - thankfully.
Crowstrike laughed, “I believe we both know that between the two of us you’re the better hunter... but I’ll take you up on the wager.” He grinned. He stood up, quickly shook the dirt from his fur and lead the way out of the camp, he brushed by Riverwillow on thier way out. He was glad to see her with Wrenstrike.
Wrenstorm sighed softly, nodding. Her's and the younger she-cats train of thought hadn't seemed to have been very far apart from eachothers. It took the elder to find the right words to say before she finally spoke. "You're still young, Some cat will come along and they will fit into you like no one else was ever able to. I don't think even the wickedest of cats went without someone loving them atleast once in their lives." she spoked softly, from the heart and from expierence. "And as for kits, well, only Starclan knows but I trust you will one day be an amazing mother." Wrenstorm touched her nose to Riverwillow's ear, both for reassurance and as a sign of affection. 'And I'll do my best to make sure I see that day' the elder thought to herself. She could only hope she spoke the right words.
Riverwillow smiled, her heart filled with relief. She nuzzled Wrenstrike’s neck, “Thank you.” She said, tearing up slightly. “I’m sure one of these days some mousebrained Tom will open his eyes and realize I’m amazing.” She joked. Crowstrike brushed up against Riverwillow as he passed by, in response Riverwillow had flicked her tail slightly. She looked back over towards Wrenstrike, “As for him, I’m unsure he’ll ever fall in love... he’s in love with the clan.” She snorted.
SORRELWING | Outside Camp | Crowstrike
Sorrelwing felt like she was able to relax more after having left the camp, she looked to Crowstrike and rolled her eyes at him. "I'm the better hunter," she looked to her friends battle-scarred pelt, "You're the one who does the fighting," she added with a hint of amusement. While she wasn't afraid to flash her claws, Crowstrike was undoubtedly the skilled fighter of the two. As she walked further and further from camp, and deeper and deeper into the forest, she raised her nose and gave the air a sniff. There wasn't much on the breeze there, so she continued walking. "How about if you catch two mice - which are my favourite - I'll clean your nest." It was a playful suggestion, odd for the usually muted she-cat, but out in the forest she felt like there was a weight off she shoulders. She felt less... alone and sad.
