Ashstar ;;
When he was approached, Ashstar suspected that it was not good. He glanced up form his bird and waited for a moment, licking his lips. Seems like my meal has to wait, he thought, pushing himself into a taller position. After a moment, his tail curled over his paws and he studied Briarsong. Looks tired, he thought, flicking his pale gaze to the camp entrance. He suspected that she'd been out; most warriors seemed to be fine with going about their duties despite the fox, and that was good. He didn't want them to suffer.
"I'm alright," he said quietly, lifting a paw and licking it briefly. "Can I help you, Briarsong?"
It was better to get to the point, in his opinion. The more a cat skirted around the subject, the harder it was to press on it. He twitched an ear and absently twitched his tail-tip, watching the warrior through half-closed eyes.

Briarsong to Ashstar
Briarsong smiled slightly, she felt bad for disturbing him but also felt it important that her leader be informed of newcomers in the territory. "I've encountered a new loner while I was out today...He didn't seem like he'd be any harm to us, though he did seem like he had intentions to stay. I know this can't be one of the most pressing matters on your mind though I felt it worthy of bringing up." she stated, rather calmly...to her surprise.

Ashstar ;;
Knowing that there was yet another loner on their land wasn't much of a surprise, but it was...tiring, maybe. Though prey was plentiful, he could only imagine what would happen if they had an influx of loners. His ears half-flattened for only a moment before they perked up again, and he tilted his head to the side. He processed the information, filed it away for later, and nodded.
"Thank you for telling me," he said, "I'll try to keep a tab of that one. If it stays for more than a moon, then we'll probably have an issue on our paws," he hated having to deal with this, but it was his job, now.

Briarsong looked at Ashstar, she could only imagine how stressed out he had to be. "Of course.. And I apologize for disturbing you." she mewed, her voice sympathetic. "Is there anything I can do around the camp to help? I'm sure all this newfound responsibility has to be putting a lot of stress upon you...Which is not my way of saying you cannot handle it." she backtracked slightly. She didn't want Ashstar to believe that she in any way doubted him, she was attempting to come off as supportive.

((No, it's beautiful zombie)) Wrenstorm felt a warmth in her chest at the young warriors offer. She hadn't eaten yet as she had spent a while longer than usual napping. She nodded "That'd be absolutely lovely. Maybe I can follow you out soon and we can hunt together like when you were younger. Or I guess we were both younger." she let out an amused purr, kindness twinkling in her eyes with the fond memories.
Lotuswaves felt her whiskers twitch in amusement at Applepaw's energy. If her own anxiety didn't keep her alert and on her paws, Applepaw surely would. It was a good trait. The orange she-cat dipped her head in greeting before explaining "I was thinking today I could show you the areas around the camp and teach you some hunting and tracking basics." She started towards the entrance "Being able to map out where you are is advantageous both when fighting and hunting." she added, feeling an odd need to justify her idea in case the apprentice thought it would be too easy or boring.

Riverwillow grinned happily, "I would absolutely adore that." she purred. It had been Wrenstorm, not Crowstrike who had taken her out hunting for the first time, once she became an apprentice. Riverwillow started walking out of the Elder's den, though she kept her pace slow as to not rush Wrenstorm, "How has your day been?" the she-cat asked warmly. The truth was she was the closest with Crowstrike, but Wrenstorm was the closest Riverwillow had ever had to a mother.

Wrenstorm stood, stretching herself out to try and work out the stiffness she felt in her limbs. She grunted softly as she got up to speed with Riverwillow. She knew she wasn't the oldest cat alive and her time with Starclan probably wouldn't be coming anytime soon but, Oof, if she didn't feel like it sometimes. The marbled she-cat kept a smile in her eyes though. "It's been sleepy. I didn't wake up to long ago. How has your day been? Take away the good hunting." she dipped her head down to pick out a mouse or something smaller before looking up to Riverwillow "Will you be eating with me?"

Briarsong turned to the older she-cat, "Absolutely!" she grinned "As for my day... well, I haven't had to interact much with anyone besides you... which is fortunate on my part." she laughed. Riverwillow was friendly enough, she just had issues socializing with her clanmates because she'd put up barriers. "I woke up rather early and snuck out to hunt before anyone else had woken up." she smiled.

Wrenstorm smiled, nodding. Her close relationship and watching of her clanmates led her to believe she was lucky to be as close to Riverwillow as she was, she worried about Riverwillow sometimes, but she was a grown up and she'd learn on her own. "Good, I don't know how often you get told this but the clan is lucky to have a warrior like you." the elder used the tip of her tail to flick Riverwillow's affectionately. She believed that to her heart's full extent. "Do you want to share the rabbit you had caught?" the marbled she-cat's stomach rumbled softly.
((I dont have any open charries ): ))

Crowstrike & Sorrelwing Response to: Aether Crowstrike nodded back to Sorrelwing, a polite smile emerging upon his face. "Hello, Sorrelwing." he stated kindly. Crowstrike was quite a bit larger than the she-cat, and he subconsciously lowered himself towards the ground as not to tower over her. "How are you this morning?" he asked. Normally, Crowstrike wouldn't attempt to engage another in conversation. Sorrelwing however, held a soft spot in his heart. The two grew up together, trained together..they even faced their trials together, he was there for the kitting of her son. Sorrelwing was one of Crowstrikes fondest friends and also the mate of his late best friend, Kestrelclaw. SORRELWING | Freshkill pile | Crowstrike
Sorrelwing nodded to Crowstrike, even putting in as much effort as to send him a slight smile too. "I'm fine, and you?" She asked as she placed her mouse by her paws to claim it. Crowstrike had been close to her all her life, her friend, her fellow apprentice, her fellow warrior, and the best friend to Kestrelclaw - whom she missed dearly. Crowstrike was a cat that Sorrelwing felt she could trust and lean on, therefore she did tend to seem more warm towards him than anyone else in the camp. She flicked her ears and tilted her head, "How is Riverwillow?" She added casually, yet softly. She knew Crowstrike loved his foster sister, yet Sorrelwing didn't interact too much with the younger she-cat.

Riverwillow blushes slightly, “Thank you Wrenstorm.” She smiled, “And yes, I’d love to share the rabbit.” She realized this meant she’d be going hunting again, later so that she could double what she took out but she was okay with that, she enjoyed hunting. She’d had to learn to fend for herself at a very young age, and hunting was something she learned to to rather quickly.
Riverwillow picked up the rabbit it moved it closer to Wrenwillow, “Ladies first.” She grinned.

Ashstar ;;
"You don't need to apologise," it was appreciated that he was told what was going on in the territory. Ashstar didn't have eyes in the back of his head; he didn't know everything that was going on all the time, which did frustrate him, but it made sense. He was sure that he'd settle soon enough - it was just the initial rockiness that was going to be rather difficult to deal with. "It's alright. The sunrise hunting and border patrols have been completed, so there's not really much to do, now."
Were there any repairs? No. Ceremonies? No. All in all, it was actually rather...uneventful.
"Thank you, Briarsong," he looked down at his half-eaten meal. "I saw a couple of apprentices give food to the queens, so I think that everything should be settled. Sunhigh's coming up, so it would be best to conserve energy until it cools down again."

Crowstrike nodded over to where Riverwillow and Wrenstrike sat, across from the freshkill pile. “She’s doing well, she hunts more than she’s in camp, and when she is in camp she’s either sleeping or in the Elders den... I worry about her though.” He sighed, he knew that Riverwillow was a bit introverted, and it hurt him to think about her being alone.. “How’s coalpaw?” He asked, genuinely curious. He had to admit, when Coalpaw was given a mentor he had been hoping he’d get the chance to train him... to do right by Kestrelclaw.

Briarsong nodded her head in agreement. She looked down at the half eaten bird by Ashstars feet, and as if on cue her stomach started to growl slightly. “Would you mind if I joined you?” She asked, a smile playing across her face. She didn’t quite know if he’d like the company, but figured he could deny it if he pleased.
((Sorry that’s so short- I have to make sure my sister is actually going to bed, not playing on her phone))

Applepaw raced after her, nearly tripping over her own paws. "How big is our territory? Does it even end?" Applepaw walked alongside her mentor, but she was too full of excitement and energy to stay still. "I'm going to catch everything out there. No prey will be able to escape me!" As they entered the territory, she scented all sorts of new scents. New sounds. How much was out there? It looked huge!
