well, i never 'got saved,' i'm a roman catholic, so. but yeah, it's true. i'm trying haha. Ahh gotcha. If you ever decide to be saved (I'm Baptist by the way) hit me up, I have tracks from my church that explains how to be saved. I can explain to you the process, if you ever decide too :3 if not, no worries ^.^ thanks ^^ i'm pretty sure that my church basically believes that you're saved through baptism, the eucharist, and reconciliation.

I really love this chat, helps me be able to get all this stuff out there, since nor many people I know likes discussing this stuff

(I went to a christian daycare but I was little so I remember nothing they taught me.) Hey bro! I put a basic overview of Christianity's beliefs on the front page. Saint Ambrosef gave a really good critique of it on page 3, so it would be good to read that too, as I haven't gotten around to implementing his suggestions yet. You're welcome to join in with the "fray" of chatting and ask any questions you want! :3

So this may be a dumb question but what is it like going to Church? I've never been to Church since my family deem it not necessary.

So this may be a dumb question but what is it like as Church? I've never been to Church since my family deem it not necessary. For my church, it's for learning. Others may seem it "necessary" but it is a good place to learn how to live for Him more and the stories in the Bible and such.

So this may be a dumb question but what is it like going to Church? I've never been to Church since my family deem it not necessary. it depends on what kind of church you go to i'm a roman catholic, and even in more modern facilities, our masses (church gatherings) are more traditional. we sing, pray, read passages from the Bible, listen to the teachings of the priest, but the entire mass itself is revolved around receiving the Holy Eucharist, which catholics believe is the true body of Christ.

Nah your fine. Ask away! Alrighty. So, my question is instead of studying God and the Bible, why don't you just go with the flow? Like me, I don't go to Church. Instead I just go with the flow of things, live a happy life. I still have a religion I just don't put that much heart and soul into it. So why don't you just live like that? In no way trying to insult your life style, I'm just curious.

I actually go with the flow these day, but I do intend to go back to church to try and learn. I don't read the Bible tbh but the reason people should? It's to please God, learn his word, and be able to teach others. If you live a life for Him... in heaven you will be rewarded. In golden crowns I think?? I learn a lot from my parents and they both say if you live for Him, not only do you get into heaven, you're rewarded in other ways too

What I believe is that there is a God but you don't live for him. You live for the experience of living on Earth. So yes, I do pray to a God but only when I need a God. I do good things because I want people to be happy but also because of Karma. Ya know? Religion is confusing, xD It's interesting talking to another person who thinks a lot differently than me though.

I obviously can't speak for everyone, but here's my personal response! Christianity, to me, is so much more than a religion. Most religion, theistic or otherwise, is man-centered: any relationship with God is based on manβs works. Most religions are similar in that they are built upon the concept that man can reach a higher power or state of being through his own efforts. In most religions, man is the aggressor and the deity is the beneficiary of manβs efforts, sacrifices, or good deeds. Paradise, nirvana, or some higher state of being is manβs reward for his strict adherence to whatever tenets that religion prescribes. In that regard, Christianity is not a religion; it is a relationship that God has established with His children. Religion says " You have to do this"; Jesus says "It is finished." Why wouldn't I devote my time and my effort to the God who saved my life? When I was suicidal, going with the flow did nothing for me. God's grace and unending love completely changed my mind, my heart, and my being. Going with the flow didn't change my view on the world: God's mercy and desire to save did. Ahh, that actually made me respect you a lot more xDD I don't know why but I find that pretty cool. I most likely will never believe in Christianity fully but I respect most of those who do. It sounds pretty sad that the thing that helped me through my problems was Wrestling xD
