Hey! I consider myself Christian, although I'm a very loose one I guess . . . my family doesn't go to church, although we do believe in God. I'd love to talk here and compare your beliefs vs. mine. Maybe I ask how you feel about LGBTQA+ stuff? I know some Christians that completely reject it and others who accept it, and seeing as it's a legitimate topic right now I'm interested.

Is procreating still important if you adopt children instead? Like isn't the point "raise your kids to believe in me" not "make your own kids, full stop"?

Religion confuses me so I usually just brush it to the side, that's why I partly believe in Buddhism because it's not as strict. It's basically just live your life without having to worry about Religion but remember not to do anything bad like smoking, drinking, ect. That's another big difference between the religion and the relationship. Religion is confusing, faith is simple. The Law condemns, Jesus saves. It's not a burden to serve Him, it's an honor. And we don't have to worry about sin, either - while we surely will sin, we are forgiven. "Sin had left a crimson stain; He washed it white as snow." ^.^ Ahh, I suppose one of the reasons is that I am a proud and stubborn person. I'm not afraid to admit that. "Serving him" just doesn't fit right under what I feel I want to do on this planet while I'm here. I feel like Jesus was put on this Earth and had knowledge to share with everyone. But instead of them truly listening to his words, they just worship him. What I believe is that Jesus doesn't want all these people serving him and worshiping him, they just want people to understand. I also believe what he wanted people to understand was the similar teachings of Buddhism.

Hello and welcome! What about LGBT+, specifically? I wrote a little about this earlier, but I'm confused as to what you're referencing. The concept of it, or LGBT+ rights, or something else? sorry for being vague--I mean do you accept people who are LGBTQA+ or not? I know Christians with differing viewpoints on it. LGBT+ rights too I guess

You've made a brilliant point, here, actually. There are a lot of people who call themselves Christians and do a lot of 'good works' in Christ's name because they think it will get them to Heaven. There are a lot who feel they are better than others for doing these things. It is absolutely vital that we understand Jesus's teachings - worship constitutes living by them. Yesss, that's similar to my point. Though I am very grateful to be able to experience life on this planet and the people around me, I'm just not interested in living my life worshiping Jesus and God. For example, I have 2 parents who have helped me grow and learn new things but I don't worship them. I do love them to death but I just can't find the will to want to worship them. See what I'm saying? x3

Hi Tinker!
I'm LDS, and about the LGBTQA+ community, there's a lot to it, and can honestly do a full essay on what I believe regarding this subject, but the basics and bedrock of it is that my faith teaches to love everyone- no matter what. My church has never taught me to discriminate against people, and to instead reach out and serve everyone. I personally love and feel for that community, want to learn more about them, and wouldn't hesitate a moment to defend one if I saw one getting mistreated. It hurts me when I see hatred towards them, and I've grown more and more love for them over the years. So overall, I love them and wouldn't mind being friends with them, work with them, or associate with them in any way at all, just as long as I am in a setting where I can feel the Spirit and am not in a place God wouldn't want me to be.

See what I'm saying? x3 I do! Honoring your father and mother is a very prominent teaching in Christianity, too. I'm curious as to how you would define 'worship'? How I define worship is like spending everyday focusing and studying something when you could just be living life happily and peacefully. Like, I'm not going to go to Church (not calling out anyone who does) because I just don't feel like I need to please God like that. I feel like me doing the right thing is avoiding hurting other humans and also avoiding alcohol, drugs, ect. Just basically living your life healthy and happy is pleasing him enough.

i am lgbt+ and christian, so i have a lot of feelings. personally, i believe that people are born with homosexual feelings, and they're not 'from the devil.' as for gay marriage, i have a fairly relaxed view on it. my church (roman catholic) focuses a lot on procreation in marriage, which is why they're so hung up on it. i think, frankly, that gay marriage isn't that bad of a thing. adopting kids is great, which is what they're doing. but, i myself have chosen never to pursue a same-sex relationship in my personal.

Cool, Galantis. So I've got a question for you all- what's your favorite Christian singers/bands? Heyo, nice to meet you :3 I don't listen to any Christian singers or bands to be honest. But, Owl City is one of my most favorite singers and his songs are usually about God. I don't look at it like that but that's how he means it to be so x3

Owl City actually does some Christian stuff in addition to their normal music. My sister loves it.
Personally, I love Disciple and Colton Dixon.

I know this isn't exactly my place but can you explain the fact that there are men born with less testosterone than a regular man? It's not a "I want to like men!" it's more of a "I have the hormones of a female." If God does not support them, then how come he made them? If you're implying that every gay person is gay because of a hormonal irregularity, that's simply not the case. That said, just because something might have a biological cause (and these things do occur - we are imperfect by nature), it does not mean embracing the effects is the right thing to do. Some people are wired with a sexuality on hyper-drive. That does not make it right for them to engage in sexual immorality. It's been proven that some sociopaths have brains with severely weakened impulse-control mechanisms. That does not make it right for them to engage in every deviant behavior that crosses their minds. No matter what, it can be overcome and healed through faith in Christ and continued reliance on the power of the Holy Spirit. Healing can be received, sin can be overcome, and lives can be changed through the salvation that Jesus provides, even if there are biological factors. I have a lot of respect for you but you do realize that there are people born this way. What I dislike about that religion is the fact that it limits people. No offense to you guys, I still want to be able to talk to you but the religion/faith is very strict and it honestly makes no sense to me.

To be perfectly honest, I don't really like Christian rock and pop music. It seems odd to me to be singing about stuff like that in country songs, etc. But I do love Owl City.

I love Christian metal. I honestly believe all forms of music can be used to glorify God if used correctly. But I can understand your take on that, Sand.

So, I have a question for anybody and everybody to answer, if you don't mind:
I've been told that some other denominations have certain prayers for certain things and ceremonies, and some of them even memorize specific prayers? Like the "lay me down to sleep" one? Please correct me if this isn't true. But if it is, would you mind explaining it to me? Like, why you memorize them and what they are used for?
