{Forest & 𝚌𝚊𝚛'𝚊'𝚌𝚊𝚛𝚗 }
Dovespeck picked a giant tree with large brown branches to sit under and watch her apprentice. She noted how he seemed to watch the sky, how carefully he placed his paws, and how silently he stalked. She parted her lips and drank in the air around her. Beside the scent of cold earth, cats, Foxpaw, and mold, she scented, ever so faintly, a blackbird, and a sparrow. She opened her eyes and watched him. He began to climb the tree, and she rose to her paws, nervousness tightening her stomach. She rose to her paws, her ears twitching. "Foxpaw..." She whispered ever so lightly. She quickly and quietly went to the tree he dug his claws into and looked up. Her tail twitched nervously, yet she knew Foxpaw knew his limits.

c a r d i n a l w i n g c a m p Intrigued, the tom sat down and wrapped his tail around his paws. "What do you have to tell me, dear?" he asked gently, his warm amber eyes looking into hers. He was tired and wanted to sleep after all of the hunting, but he put Juniperleap first every time. It was quite amusing, as Cardinalwing was strong about his views on things, but instantly reconsidered whenever Juniperleap voiced her concerns. The ginger tom truly loved her, not in blind admiration, but how she made him a better warrior, a better cat, overall. Ever since the two had become mates, he had become more patient. His acceptance of outsiders, however, needed to be worked on, but he would manage.
b l i z z a r d s t a r & c r o w p a w training hollow "Ready you two?" she meowed as Crowpaw stepped beside Sweetpaw. "Crowpaw, I expect you to help Sweetpaw a lot. You two will be partners and while I'll explain, feel free to give her tips. I know you can be a great hunter if you try." the SkyClan leader told the black she-cat. She hoped it would motivate her to actually try for this session. Crowpaw was lazy and got irritable about training when she felt unmotivated, so it would be hard to get her properly going if she simply stuck around and watched. Blizzardstar flashed a look of concern at Sweetpaw, hoping she'd manage this session as well. After the death of Nightpaw, she had been busy trying to get a plan together to avenge the medicine cat apprentice. That left Sweetpaw to do her chores and miss out on valuable training. Blizzardstar secretly promised that after their victory, she'd take her apprentice out every day. She liked Sweetpaw and thought she was a good apprentice. She hoped her apprentice liked her as well. Blizzardstar gave a nod to Bumblesting and motioned for the cats to follow her. "Crowpaw, why don't you show Sweetpaw how to hunt in the trees?"
Sighing, the apprentice nodded and leaped into the nearest tree. She she climbed upwards, she began to slow down and sneak around every branch and leaf. Blizzardstar narrated her climb with instructions on how to climb a tree. Crowpaw did slip once, misplacing her step and Blizzardstar took the opportunity to swiftly explain how to catch yourself. Crowpaw grunted and dug into the branch, maneuvering herself closer to the tree itself and climbed back onto the base of the branch. She shook herself and looked down at her little patrol. Crowpaw gave a nod and leaped forward again, gaining more speed. She stopped when she scented a squirrel and pushed herself towards the base of the maple. Her amber eyes could see the prey easily. She slowly balanced herself and climbed up to another branch. The squirrel stopped its munching and froze, then sniffed the air for the apprentice. However, Crowpaw was like a shadow and reached forward to smack the squirrel against the base, stunning it as she jumped up once again and quickly delivered a bite. Below, Blizzardstar witnessed the hunt and furrowed her brow in confusion. "I don't remember that being taught to me." she said as she eyed Bumblestripe.
Crowpaw grabbed her catch and began her descent down. Once she was on the ground again she dropped the squirrel in front of Sweetpaw. "Sorry that wasn't the proper technique, the damn thing saw me for a moment and I had to stun in. If it was closer to the base of the maple, I would have slammed my paw down on it to stun it." she mewed before sighing about Blizzardstar giving a small lecture on how to hunt a squirrel. "I know I hunt them weirdly, but it works! Besides, Sweetpaw may have learned a new technique!" Crowpaw exclaimed, trying to save her hide.
a p p l e f r o s t c a m p "Hey Mudfur! Blizzardstar and I caught a loner. She had to attend training, though. His name is Luka. We're supposed to watch him until Blizzardstar decides about what to do with him." she informed the younger warrior. "Want to help me watch him?" Applefrost asked as she motioned for Luka to go on into camp. "We can show him around. I think he'll be here for a while!" the warrior cheerily mewed. "Let's show him the rockpile first!" Applefrost exclaimed and bounded away.

{Camp & ʀᴀɪɴʟᴇᴀғ 🍁 }
Mudfur looked at the new comer with narrowed eyed. He obviously didn't want to be here, and Mudfur assumed that he had gotten himself in trouble, and that's why he was here. He could relate, for he himself had once been brought in and given the "grand tour", being watched like a hawk. His fur prickeled as he wondered if this cat was a threat to Skyclan, not knowing anything about him. After looking Luka up and down, Mudfur rose to his paws and followed Applefrost. Her excitement was contageous, her smile leaving a copy of itself on Mudfur. He couldn't help but feel cheerful as he padded through camp, following after to the large rockpile. "Luka. The Rockpile is a pile of rocks where us warriors bring the prey we've caught. It is also used, as well as the Skyrock, when Blizzardstar want to make announcements." Mudfur motioned to the large pile of rocks with his long fluffy tail, his eyes darting between Applefrost and Luka. He made sure to stay close to the outsider, not wanting the cat to try anything silly.

Glancing up at the dappled tom, the small tabby's irritated look quickly turned to a hostile glare. He scuffed his paws in the dirt as Applefrost caught the warrior up to date, her energetic voice causing him to scowl to himself. There was nothing about the situation that was pleasant at all. He couldn't understand why Applefrost was being as effervescent as she was, and it simply rubbed him the wrong way.
Luka slowly followed the two warriors, letting out a sigh as he came to a stop next to Mudfur. "The Rockpile is a pile of rocks where us warriors bring the prey we've caught. It is also used, as well as the Skyrock, when Blizzardstar want to make announcements," he was barely listening to the tom, squinting at the pile. The tabby could make out the shape of the rocks; he was unable to discern the individual rocks within the pile. They blurred together to him, turning into a conglomerate of color.
He supposed that he must look strange to the two cats with how hard he was looking at the pile - they were unaware of his disability, and he had no desire to inform them. Knowing them, they would just use it against him. Every cat he had ever known had, and Luka had long learned the lesson of trusting others from the alleys of twolegplace.
The tom glanced away from the pile of rocks back to the ground without a sound. Maybe if he was too much of a useless ball of fur, they'd let him go without complaint. No group of cats wanted someone who couldn't pull their own weight, and while he could, he didn't want to give this strange group any reason to keep him around. The paranoia of Badger finding him made his paws itch, his desire to get away almost overwhelming, though he forced himself not to show it.

"W-We're going to have kits.." he mewed, sounding quite shocked. He looked at his paws, shaking his head as his mouth remained open. He looked up at Juniperleap again and pushed himself into her pelt. Cardinalwing nuzzled and purred loudly, ecstatic about the news. "Let's get you a nice nest in the nursery. I want to make sure you have the perfect one! I'll catch you your favorite prey everyday. Oh I wonder how many we'll have!" he rambled on, looking proud.

He felt his muscles strain with the effort of holding onto the bark without moving, his eyes narrowed in intense concentration. Foxpaw didn't want to alert the bird with quick movements now that he was eye-level with it, and he slowly shifted his weight onto the branch just below the bird's, testing his weight carefully on it. Reassured that it could support him, he balanced skillfully on the branch with his full weight, prowling along it with his eyes trained on the blackbird.
Quickly assessing his surroundings, Foxpaw glanced down to the forest floor. He wasn't high enough that falling from this distance would hurt him; but he was also sure enough in his own skill that he could catch the bird without having to leave the tree. Foxpaw raised his haunches, exhaling as he leapt forward onto the other branch, snagging the bird's wings in his claws in a steady pounce. The russet tom quickly moved forward, snapping the startled blackbirds in his jaws and killing it cleanly with a snap. The bird dangled loosely from his mouth, and the apprentice carefully jumped onto a lower branch before jumping to the leafy floor. His ears perked as he presented his fresh catch to his mentor.

He lashed his tail in irritability as the she-cat scolded him, huffing to himself. "I don't even want to be here," he growled under his breath. Luka couldn't comprehend why he should 'try to be interested' - this wasn't his home, and he wasn't planning on staying. Why should he humor them? His vexation of being held prisoner was causing his already short temper to burn like a hot, scorching flame.
Watching as Applefrost began to pad away in the direction of what she had called the 'warriors' den', the tabby forced himself to once again trail after her. His injured paw was still throbbing with pain, and he wanted to do nothing more but curl up and sleep it off. Nevertheless, Luka followed the tortiseshell she-cat without another complaint.

(I'm gonna post some starters! Anyone is free to respond) Darkshade - CampDarkshade munched on a squirrel, watching her clanmates from a distance. She wasn't sure if she should ask Blizzardstar if she could go on a patrol or if she should just leave. Even though she'd been a warrior for six moons now, she still felt like she needed to ask permission to leave camp. She thought about her clanmates, wondering which one she should manipulate next. The thought of a cat falling in love with her made her heart skip. She enjoyed feeling loved, and she never got much attention from her brother anymore. He was overprotective of her, but he never really talked to her much. She needed someone to pay attention to her, and she would use to appearance to make any cat she could fall in love with her. She personally had never fell in love before, but it was fun to make others love her then watch them grow sad when she left them for a different cat. She hoped no one would ever be able to break the walls she'd put up around herself.
Waspwing - Forest
Waspwing was out hunting. He'd noticed that the fresh kill pile was dangerously low, so he decided to head out and look for food. He noticed a rustling in the bushes, and looked over to see a squirrel burying an acorn. He crouched down, letting his feet softly grace the ground as he moved forward. With an enormous leap, he flung himself at the squirrel, landing squarely on its shoulders. He bite down on the back of its neck, killing it quickly. He glanced around, wishing someone had seen his great catch. He wasn't the type to brag, but he did love to be praised. In the distance, he spotted a huge tabby slinking through the undergrowth. Suspicion bubbled in his chest. He opened his mouth to taste the air, and the scent of kittypet stung his nose. He turned toward camp, intending to find Blizzardstar and inform her that a kittypet was slinking around Skyclan territory.

Refraining her laughter, the she-cat only shook her head. Looking over to the opposite direction of Boulderpaw. As if acting old, the female had a hoarse voice as she spoke, "No thank you, young one. I believe I can carry myself."
Amberstone turned her gaze to her apprentice, a small grin on her face. Mimicking the tom, she flicked her tail and brushed it against his nose. "Since you are so eager to start, why don't you go and get Brambleheart and Badgerpaw?"
&
"Ready!" Sweetpaw mewed excitedly. Hearing the next words only made the molly look to Crowpaw.
Watching with pure interest, the she-cat had only nodded in understanding. She couldn't help but admire Crowpaw for how she hunted. It was interesting— not odd. Crowpaw's actions had caused the molly to think hard, watching with small, pale eyes. Sweetpaw turned her attention to the words of her mentor, but she still continued to watch her comrade. She couldn't help but giggle at the comment Blizzardstar had made.
As Crowpaw struck the prey, the she-cat couldn't help but jump slightly. Not that she didn't like it, but she was very excited to try on her own. When the trainee approached the party, Sweetpaw's paws twitched with anticipation. "Every cat has their own way! I'm sure Crowpaw is a great help," Turning her attention to the senior apprentice, she purred with closed eyes, "Besides, I like how you hunt. It's very unique. I would say, I did actually discover a new technique— sort of. More like, I've made some observations and kinda developed my own. There's not a big difference though."
Opening her eyes, Sweetpaw looked to the squirrel, sniffing from above. The smell was enduring, and sweet— it made her mouth water. With a small smile, the calico apprentice turned to her striped leader. Calmly, the female mewed, "When do you think I'll be able to try it on my own?"

Dovespeck eyed her apprentice warily as he clung to the branches of the tree. He seemed to have everything under control, and his quick check of surrounds let Dovespeck know that he had fully assessed the situation around him, leaving him with only one task left; to kill the bird. As she watched the young tom swiftly and quietly creep up on the young blackbird, killing it swiftly, she rose to her paws. "Very well!" she purred lightly as Foxpaw greeted her with the kill at the base of the tree. " Your technique was perfect, and your form was nearly flawless." She licked the young toms ear, letting him know how proud of him she was. "The only thing you need to be careful for is hiding yourself. You were up wind. I am kind of surprised the bird didn't smell you before he saw you." Dovespeck dug a small hole in the ground and motioned for the apprentice to bury the catch there, leaving a little marker to remind her to pick it up on their way back to camp. "But nonetheless, you got this bird, and that's what counts." She flashed a smile at her apprentice, wanting to be encouraging. She lifted her head towards the sky and drank in the air around her once more, for she desired to watch Foxpaw kill another. She perked her ears at the light rustling of bushes a few steps away from them. He looked back at foxpaw and motioned with a little movement of her head to let him know he could continue, and she would follow.

She smiled down at her apprentice, warmth suddenly brightening her gaze, "That's great Frostpaw. Well, now let's see those skills put to good use". Leopardcloud had come to the training hollow already filled with ideas on where to send her apprentice off to hunt, but now with the added responsibility of Spiderpaw she was not so sure. The she-cat looked around for a moment, thinking of the best course of action. "Oh of course," she exclaimed, "Let's have you two both head off towards the thicker trees," she flicked her tail in the direction of a more dimly lit area of the forest. "Each of you will have the task of bringing down a squirrel from the highest branch you can manage". Being SkyClan cats it was only natural for them to take their hunting above ground and to utilize their skills of being able to leap great distances on the trees. This task was especially designed to test Frostpaw, a she-cat of no SkyClan descent in order to test just how much she had picked up on living with them and if she was really even fit to be called a SkyClan warrior. In her eyes it wasn't bias, but assuring that her clan-mates were capable of enough. "Now listen, if a branch starts to feel unsafe or starts cracking, jump down to a lower branch immediately and do not risk it," Leopardcloud cautioned, giving both apprentices a serious look.

{Forest & Morticat }
Frostpaw shuffled her paws in nervousness. Although she was good at climbing trees, hunting in theme was completely different. She flashed Spiderpaw a nervous glance and rose to her paws. "Lets get going then, shall we?" She huffed, her voice shaking. As she lead the way out of the safety of the training hollow and into the chilly forest, her mind began to race, her heart picking up speed. What if Leopardcloud had chosen this because she knew she wasn't good at it and wanted to prove that she wasn't capable of being a warrior? Frostpaw had to shove those thoughts out of her head for the time being. Right now she needed to find some prey to sink her teeth into.
Frostpaw slightly opened her mouth to drink in the cold bitter air around her. She perked her ears at the sound of squirrel nails scratching the bark of the large oak in front of her. She slid out her claws and padded silently over to the tree. As she dug her claws into one of the roots that jutted out of the ground, she began to gracefully lift herself up to the first branch. Pausing, she listened for the squirrel that she had heard moments ago, wanting to find its position before it found her.
She lowered her white self onto the branch and slowly glided forwards, the squirrel only a few lengths above her on a higher branch. She planned to climb a little higher on the trunk of the tree, then light upon the squirrel, bringing to her mentor. As she swiftly and silently moved up to the tree and onto the little tree branch where the squirrel was, Frostpaw suddenly remembered Leopardcloud's warning. "if a branch starts to feel unsafe or starts cracking, jump down to a lower branch immediately and do not risk it," She lightly pressed her paws onto the tree, ready to spring back if necessary. Though the branch was on the thinner side, it didn't crackle under Frostpaw's light weight, after all, she was pretty small.
Frostpaw decided it was safe enough to stalk the squirrel that was now in front of her. As soon as she was close enough to the squirrel, she rose on her haunches and pounced,her paws leaving the tree without a sound. She was to land squarely on the squirrels shoulders, only to find the branch had snapped and she was falling to the ground.

Boulderpaw rolled his eyes at how dramatic his Mentor was making out to be. He twitched his tail in stifled amusement and shook his head. "If you say so, oh great and wise one." He really enjoyed taunting his mentor, though he didn't do it all the time. Yes, Boulderpaw was a jokester, but he knew his place and he knew when enough was enough. "I'll tart looking right away." With those words barely out of his mouth, he was already to his paws and on the mission to find these other cats. "Badgerpaw! Brambleheart!" The young grey and white tom called for the mentor and apprentice, letting his voice ring maybe a little too loud.

Mudfur rolled his eyes at Lukas attitude. It was very obvious that the cat had little to no desire to be in Skyclan camp at the moment, but he could at least be grateful that they hadn't killed him. Skyclan had been nothing but nice, offering him a place to sleep, food to eat, and water to drink. And, as Applefrost had mentioned, Blizzardstar hadn't completely clawed off his pelt. Not yet anyway.
As the three cats neared the warriors den, Mudfur let Apple and Luka take the lead. "This is obviously the warriors den, but I suppose you don't need me to reiterate that. " Mudfur motioned with his tail to the entrance of the den to where he would be staying. "Applefrost, of you want, I can make another nest for you later." The young tom offered, his paws itching to get away from Luka already.
He had only been with him for a few minutes, but with the toms negative and sou gratitude towards everything, Mudfur couldn't help but feel weighted down. He was slightly perplexed at how good Applefrost was keeping her composure and maintaining a happy spirit about her. Mudfur felt a slight pang of envy in the pit of his stomach at the realization that he had never been one to stay so happy.

Heronfeather.
When was the last time he'd strolled through the forest with someone by his side like this? While there were quite a few assets he possessed, the one characteristic that simultaneously haunted and benefited him came from his meticulous gift of remembering things, no matter how trivial they were. Though he searched through his memories over and over again, he could only say that it'd been too long since he'd walked with the company of another individual while feeling more relaxed than he usually did in the presence of another cat.
It wasn't easy, finding someone who could make you feel at ease to a degree, and he was thankful for the tranquility the Siamese elicited. Of course, he would be lying if he said that he wasn't a little wary of the situation as a whole, though this was customary for Heronfeather and a part of himself that he could not, no matter how many times he actively tried, restrain. His trust was difficult to earn, and he was, perhaps, the flawless example of someone who retained the very stereotypical personality of a feline. Knowing when to draw back from him was pivotal knowledge when it came to forming any relationship with the tall and lean tom. Dig too deep, and the good-natured side of his persona faded, revealing something more jaded and harsh - something that hinted at his early exposure to the world around himself. He was paradoxical in that way: he wanted to be known, he didn't want to be known. He was undoubtedly a complex entity who sustained a sharp tongue, an idiosyncratic mind, and the unyielding loyalty of a wolf.
Far above his head, light seeped through the leaves, casting an innumerable number of spots across the uneven floor. It was a fairly nice day for hunting, with a surplus of light and just a twinge of cold. When a cool breeze caressed his cheek, he spotted Hailstep's tail swaying back and forth with what appeared to be confidence. How could anyone fight a smile after witnessing this exact gesture from the Siamese? Even he, as heartless as he was, felt the smallest hint of a genuine smile form across his features. "Lizard or mouse is nice," he agreed insouciantly, casually, unconcerned with the rules and codes and invisible customs that tethered every clan cat together for this very moment and instead loosely focusing on the present.
He managed to stop in his tracks immediately once he saw Hailstep level himself to the ground before deftly moving towards the mouse he'd scented as well. He watched, with care and focus, as the tom lunged for the rodent. He was about to launch himself forward to aid Hailstep when he realized that the tom had landed a few mouse-lengths away from it, though he halted himself yet again when he saw the Siamese's following movements. In all honesty, he would be lying if he said that he'd been expecting the vigorous reaction from the shy tom. "Foxdung," he heard, and he blinked his luminous green eyes. Hailstep was very fierce for such an endearing individual. He had a feeling he wouldn't be forgetting that any time soon. "Are you all right?" He gently purred, pressing his pelt against that of Hailstep's briefly before pulling back, though he still stood near the tom as if to display reassurance. "That was a good catch. Mice always give me a difficult time."

Marigoldheart &&. Aspenfur
Though he recognized a myriad of distinct calls coming from the depth of the dense forest, he was certain that the familiar, gentle rumble resonating from behind was something that didn't belong to any crow or squirrel. When he realized that the wordless compliment had originated from Sorrelecho, he felt his ears warm in a spontaneous display of embarrassment. If there was one thing that the muscular midnight-furred tom could never get used to receiving, it was being complimented for whatever deed he performed.
It was then he caught sight of Aspenfur's jubilant eyes, which twinkled mischievously in a way that seemed to say: I can't believe my eyes. Is the great Marigoldheart flustered? He shot the golden tom a glare. (If only looks could kill.) I'm not, so quit looking at me like that.
From his side, Aspenfur only responded with a small, playful shrug of his shoulder. His affectionate and jocose expression lingered, unaffected by the withering look that'd been targeted at him. It was most likely a result of his sprightly personality and their consistent rapport; their chemistry was quite an odd and yet understanding one, indeed.
His concentration soon shifted over from the other warrior's whimsical antics to Sorrelecho, who was now climbing closer and closer to the unsuspecting thrush. He held his breath as he watched, entranced by her flawless movements and her impenetrable focus. She truly was one of the most highly adept hunters of the clan - he didn't have to look for long to understand how keen her eyes were and how patient she remained as she perceived the smallest details around her.

Nightwhisper.
"Hibernating technique? I haven't heard of that one before. That's not too surprising. How well have you done so far, Nightwhisper?"
Oh, Star Clan, he could already tell that this was going to be a long day. "Well enough," he responded dryly, letting his tired, amber eyes rest on those of hers. "Hopefully by leaf-bare, I'll have mastered it completely." When they rose to their paws together, he focused on the camp's entrance and the senses that enveloped him. It was curious - there were only a very small amount of individuals who were able to restrain the calculative warrior, and Partridgehop seemed to be one of those few. The last time he'd ever spoken in a manner such as this with someone was... well, it'd been a while ago, and he didn't let his mind dwell on the subject for too long. The past struck him as paltry; it was the present reality that needed attention.
It was Partridgehop's following words that truly grasped his attention. Little one? Little one. He almost quietly snorted incredulously. Almost. That was the first time he'd ever been referred with such a name, and the tenacious tabby found that he wasn't entirely certain of what to feel. And she'd curled her tail at that, too, as if to prove her point. "That would be the best," he agreed, his weary voice insouciant as he flicked his ear, his fatigued gaze sharpening with time. Matching his typically haggard appearance, it was customary for him to sound this way, no matter what emotions he felt; it was difficult to tell whether if he appreciated something or didn't just by the sound of his voice, though his anger was significantly distinctive, especially with the chilling calm that draped him when it emerged. At the moment, he sounded like his mundane self: weary, but placid.
If there was one thing that was apparent about Nightwhisper, it was that he discretely sustained the concentration of a hawk on a hunt, even as he blanketed himself with the indifference of an owl during the day. He was labeled as a proficient individual and had earned a punctilious reputation for a myriad of reasons. Labels had been everything he'd known as he'd grown, and with the redundancy of realizing how futile it was to fight against it, he'd accepted it as his own policy. What else could you do, after all, aside from controlling and manipulating it yourself? Once he'd labeled someone with specific title in his brain underneath a particular category, it took strenuous effort to change his mind. He didn't have one just yet for Partridgehop, however, and he was curious what name she would make for herself.
It was certain that the tom didn't dislike the strong personality that radiated off of the other warrior, however; for some peculiar reason, he seemed to be an individual who was propelled by them. He tended to either fall alongside those who possessed one well or become an apathetic stranger. It was a miracle he'd spoken this much with someone else, however, so perhaps it indicated a good thing.

Upon hearing him talk about getting her to the nursery, the female shook her head softly, her copper eyes blinking gently at him. "No, no. I want to keep serving for another moon. Can we do that?" Juniperleap asked, her ears flicking gently as she looked up at him. The fawn hued female licked her mate's ear, rubbing her head under his chin. "I'll be okay. Closing his eyes, the tom gave a sigh. "Alright. Though please don't get yourself in trouble. I'd prefer if you'd only hunt, but I won't put restrictions on you." Cardinalwing meowed. He pulled away and gave her a lick on the head. "How far along are you?" the ginger warrior asked his mate. The Clan had been without kits for a few moons. Juniperleap expecting was something that would excite their Clanmates. He wanted to be there on every patrol to protect her, but he couldn't force her behind him all the time. While she was his mate, she was her own cat, too. He respected that and wanted to honor it despite wanting what was best for their first litter.

a d a y a n d m o r e ʀᴀɪɴʟᴇᴀғ 🍁 ; ᵏᵉˢᵗʳᵉˡ j u n i p e r l e a p The soft-furred she-cat could hear the worry in her mate's voice. She hated the fact that he was so worried about her, but she understood. The fawn hued female rubbed her face against Cardinalwing's, licking his ear. "Don't worry, Cardinalwing. I'll only hunt, and I won't do any tree stunts," she said gently, a smile tugging at her gentle features. Juniperleap knew that he was tired, and she flicked her tail over his chest. He asked her about how far along she was, and her shoulders quivered a bit. "A little less than a moon," she yawned before nuzzling against him. "You should go get sleep. I may go take a stroll, but I'll probably crawl into the nest with you," she said gently, licking her nose. h a i l s t e p Hailstep listened to the tom's words and let a chuckle leave his throat. "Well, mice are nimble. It's hard for such a strong tom like yourself to be as nimble as a mouse," he joked, his tail flicking a bit. He smirked before he kicked a few leaves over the corpse. The Siamese shook his head, licking his paw before standing. "It was an awful catch. I landed far from him thanks to these faulty things," he mentioned to his eyes, letting a huff leave his throat. "It's fine though. I caught it and that's what counts," he said, licking his nose. The feeling of Heronfeather's fur against his made him shiver a bit, a rough purr leaving his throat before he stopped, shaking out his thick pelt. "You get the next catch," he said, flicking his tail over the larger tom's back.

a p p l e f r o s t c a m p When they reached the den, Applefrost politely motioned for Luka to step inside. She acted as if she hadn't heard Mudfur's offer, as she didn't want to offend the loner with them. She stepped into the den, and motioned to where her nest was. "It should be comfortable. Are you hungry or do you need some poppy seeds so you can sleep? I promise you we won't hurt you. If anything, you may be escorted back to the twolegplace." Applefrost informed Luka and looked at Mudfur. A flash of concern light up her eyes, but quickly faded away as she put on another cheery face. "I can't remember how we got here, but for many generations, SkyClan has been in the gorge. It's a wonderful place, besides Badger and his gang, but we like it here. We're free to do as we please as long as it's under the warrior code." the tortoiseshell meowed as she looked around the dusty den and sat on her haunches. At the end of her small explanation, she looked Luka. "Anything specific you want to know?" [ I totally invite you to have Luka kinda "know" about SkyClan if you want, maybe somehow knowing things they have forgotten about their history. But you absolutely don't have to, it is totally up to you.]

The tom took the lead and noticed Mudfur and Applefrost at the warriors den. He grew intrigued, as the two never exactly talked before much. Applefrost was welcoming, but she usually remained close with her family and well, Juniperleap. He mewed a greeting and soon scented what was inside. He growled low, and nudged away Juniperleap. "What is a rogue doing in our camp?!"

She could tell that Frostpaw had some apprehension to the task, but Leopardcloud still felt more than confident that she would perform well enough. Though the she-cat felt a bit nervous about sending her apprentice off hunting in the trees, she knew that it was a valuable and practically required skill for SkyClan warriors. Sure she had a few more moons before her assessment to get her warrior name so she had some time, but time seemed to past rather fast for Leopardcloud and she was sure many cats could agree with that. "If she manages to bring down a squirrel I'll have to make sure Blizzardstar hears about it," she thought, purring. Once the apprentices had gone off a distance, Leopardcloud began trailing behind them, slyly slipping past trees and undergrowth. She was a fair distance behind them still, as she didn't want to alarm them or alert any nearby prey to her presence and ruin their possible catch.

Spiderpaw smiled at Frostpaw, warmth flooding to his ears and face. "I should've done this sooner," he thought with some regret. Nothing could be changed about the events that took place or how he reacted now, but at least he could try to pick up where they left off. Following quickly after Frostpaw, the tom-cat felt his heart begin to beat with an unfamiliar rhythm as he observed her taking in her surroundings and using all of her focus and skills to navigate her way through the thick trees and up the branches. "I want to spend every day of my life with you," Spiderpaw thought dreamily, caught in a trance looking up at her, momentarily abandoning his own task. Fairly unconcerned with the rest of the world, he sat at the base of the tree that she climbed and watched her intently. "Hey Frostpaw-" he began, uncertainty in his voice, trying to work out his feelings as he spoke. Suddenly, without much warning he saw the small white figure of her crashing down the tree's branches, and with his instincts kicking in he rushed towards her, fear gripping him like water in his lungs.

Once he stopped, she spotted Applefrost. She tilted her head as she finished her statement before she felt the ginger tom she called her mate nudge her away from the den. She furrowed her brows and began to retort before she caught the smell of a rogue. The fawn-hued she-cat flattened her ears and lowered her head, backing away slightly and staring into the den. Juniperleap wrapped her tail around her back leg in an attempt to protect herself- and her kits- from the possible threat.

The small tom ignored Mudfur's hostility, gazing into the den with unfocused eyes, studying the den to the best of his ability. "I don't need poppy, but I would appreciate something for my paw," he muttered, then followed the she-cat to where her nest was. He sat down in front of it, not yet willing to lay on the bedding of another cat. "Has your Clan always been in the gorge?" Luka asked, eyes narrowed. The scent of two other cats behind him caused him to glance back to the entrance of the den, though he couldn't see if anyone else was there due to his weak eyes.

{Forest & Morticat }
Frostpaw hit the ground with a thud, the impact knocking the air out of her. She heard Spiderpaws worried voice as she held onto her consciousness. She had hit a few limbs on her way down , giving her some bruises, but it was mostly fear that put her into shock. She laid on the ground for what seemed an eternity before opening her eyes. She looked down at her paws an let out a cracking purr. She had caught the squirrel. The fall must have killed it. She winced in pain as she tried to lift her head to look at her fellow apprentice, and tried in a failed attempt to show him the kill. "Sp-i-" She tried to talk but her voice only came in short gasps. She let her head lay on the ground and her eyes close.
She didn't feel like moving, the thoughts of failure all crashing in her mind at once. She had failed Leopardcloud, she had scared Spiderpaw, she had injured herself, and most of all, she just proved she wasn't worthy to be called a Skyclan cat. Tears leaked out of the side of her closed eyes as the overwhelming sense of defeat pulsed through her. Her body trembled, not necessarily because she was injured, but her spirit was broken. She had tried oh so hard to prove herself worthy, and with every attempt followed some sort of disappointment.
Suddenly remembering that Spiderpaw was near, she opened her tear stained eyes. She looked at him with such emotion. He was clan born, she wasn't. He was a good Skyclan apprentice, and she could barely hunt a squirrel without almost killing herself. He was such a good friend, and once again she let him down. She blinked at him, as if to apologize.
"Im alright." She managed after a few moments. "Its just my hind paw, it hurts a little..." Maybe broken, maybe just bruised, either way she was going to have a hared time with her training for the next few days. "Don't tell anyone. I want to train with everyone else. Leopardcloud wouldn't let me if she knew, and Blizzardstar would demand that I rest. I need to train with everyone else to prove I'm worthy." once again, tears began to fall as those last words came out of her mouth.
{Camp & ʀᴀɪɴʟᴇᴀғ 🍁 & dou & 𝚌𝚊𝚛'𝚊'𝚌𝚊𝚛𝚗 }
Mudfur's fur prickled as the two other cats openly showed their hostility towards Luka. Although Mudfur was still unaware that the rogues eyes were poor, he couldn't help but feel nervous when Luka turned to face them. He rose to his paws and allowed himself to go outside of the warriors den. "Blizzardstar brought him here and asked that we watch him." He mewed, his head low. He was younger than most of the warriors here in camp, and he felt odd for needing to take charge in this moment. He looked at Juniperleap and perked his ears. "there's no need to feel threatened. He's being well watched and is about to go to sleep anyway." His tail twitched in sight irritation as he explained what was going on.
