DUSKPAW: The grey tom finally let out a breath. What a tense conversation, he thought as he complied with Nightleaf. The pain of his wounds started to fade a bit. He hadn’t expected Robinstar to even let Orchidbloom back into the clan, and it scared him a little that he had. The terrible evils he had faced that day had left a real impression on him, and Duskpaw couldn’t comprehend how it could possibly get worse than it was. The feeling of fear permeated the air surrounding the cats. He glanced at Orchidbloom. She had a calm, balanced look on her face. If only he could know what she was thinking. ORCHIDBLOOM: She knew that asking for such a rank was far-fetched given what she had done. Her motivations were clear in her mind, though. She knew her own ability. She was strong, fair, and deep down cared very much about BloomClan. She cared very much about Robinstar. She cared about her kit, Duskpaw. But most of all she was scared. Orchidbloom internally rejoiced at her acceptance back into the clan. She nodded to her leader, and then psychically sent her thanks to him as clearly as she could. “Thank you, Robinstar.” She turned to Nightleaf, who seemed to be finishing up on Duskpaw. She knew she needed attention as soon as possible. “I’m ready,” she managed to get out to the medicine cat. @sapphire646 ͐T͐͐ᴡ͐͐ɪ͐͐ɪ͐ᴀ͐

Cherrywhisper let out the small breath she had been holding in, thankful that Orchidbloom had been let back into the clan. She seemed like she really cared for the clan, despite having left them, and if the dangers that she talked of were true, they would need all the cats they could to help fight them off. She felt a shiver run down her spine at the thought of the darkness that lurked around every corner, fear shining in her eyes for a brief second; it had already taken three warriors from them, and she didn't want anyone to be next.
Shaking away her thoughts and sensing the conversation between Robinstar and Orchidbloom was over, she padded over to Nightleaf. Is there anything I can do to help the other cats while you treat Orchidbloom? she asked telepathically, her psychic voice a little shaky - telepathy was not her strong suit. She assumed the message would come across clear enough though, and she hadn't wanted to speak aloud, finding comfort in the silence of telepathy.
--
Ashfeather's eyes flickered to the newcomer's face as Robinstar addressed her, finally been torn from her irritated thoughts. She respected the she-cat's audacity to ask for a position as deputy, although of course she agreed with Robinstar's decision to only let her in the clan for now. She ignored the ominous warning from Orchidbloom - they already knew that horrors lay on the outskirts of their territory after having lost their own warriors, they didn't need to be reminded.
Directing her gaze at Rufflefur now, she padded over to her and Flaxtrill, her tail flicking the only sign of her irritation now, her eyes remaining hard and cold. "So you decided to play hero today? What a shame there weren't anymore foxes for you to scare off!" she meowed, sarcasm thick in her voice.
--
Eaglestrike watched Ashfeather pad over to Rufflefur and sighed. Let her deal with the stubborn she-cat. Or better yet, let Robinstar deal with her - she was his kit after all. The fear in Orchidbloom's voice as she told the group of the dangers beyond the forest had him focused on more important things than dealing with stubborn she-cats. His eyes flicked nervously to his sister, who had padded over to Nightleaf, his protective nature flaring up. He couldn't let anything happen to her, not after they had lost Fernpaw all those moons ago. He couldn't lose another sister.

Nightleaf :Nightleaf turned to Orchidbloom, and nodded. She then heard Cherrywhisper’s call, which comforted the medicine cat a little. ‘ Thank you for the help. I’ll tell you when I need it.’ She answered. She spoked to Orchidbloom. “I will be with you in a moment.” She said, eyeing the huge gash on her pelt with concern. She turned back to Duskpaw. “You should be fine now. If you can’t move your leg, ask either Willowpaw or Cherrywhisper to carry you to my den.” She ordered, thankful that both of the she-cats offered their help. Before she could wait for his answer, she raced off to Orchidbloom. She applied cobwebs onto her wounds silently, clueless on what to say. “H-how do you feel... Orchidbloom?” She asked. -bluestorm-Spottedpaw :Spottedpaw stared at Orchidbloom with excitement and curiosity. ‘She’s coming with us!’ She squealed in her thoughts. Suddenly, her thoughts drove her back to why she had come here in the first place. “But what about the foxes?” She blurted out to Robinstar. She was still scared of these foxes, but she couldn’t help but let her curiosity fly. Were they green with long tails? Or blue with black paws and huge jaws? ͐T͐͐ᴡ͐͐ɪ͐͐ɪ͐ᴀ͐

Breezewhisker let out a little breath and looked at Rufflefur briefly. I’m glad Orchidbloom’s not deputy yet. We need some time to make sure she’s still fully loyal. She is a good warrior and would make for an even better deputy, but I have reason to be hesitatant. He wasn’t sure if she was listening or not as it seemed Ashfeather was reprimanding her, but he sent his telepathic message through just for good measure.
“Give her a break...” He muttered to Ashfeather under his breath before listening further. He was mildly worried once Robinstar spoke of danger, but tried to keep his head up with confidence. Danger... the word itself sent an icy shiver down his spine. Just thinking of something harming BloomClan made him wince. Even though as an apprentice and warrior he liked to make trouble and frolic around, suddenly everything seemed a whole lot darker. An evil, an evil that resided beyond Woodtremble and an evil that was steadily growing stronger was not a welcome thought.
Willowpaw saw Spottedpaw stare in wonder at Orchidbloom, but she just dipped her head to the brown warrior that had just re-joined BloomClan without a word. She quickly turned to Robinstar and just in time for his little speech she moved in front of the crowd swiftly. Suddenly she winced at the words that he spoke. Sighing, Willowpaw couldn’t help but flinch of the memories of Paleflax and the two other cats. If this danger was real... how would BloomClan combat it? Hopefully the leader’s visit to Spirit Bloom would she’s some light on the matter. Willowpaw quietly ran through the list of evils that were threatening the clan so far. Foxes were the first one, but obviously this next problem had got to be the worst.

Spottedpaw's question caused Eaglestrike to again consider the foxes. They were all standing here assuming that they had ran off, but they couldn't be sure that they had left their territory. Turning to Robinstar, he sent a message to him telepathically, not wanting Rufflefur to hear and run off to be the hero again, I could lead a patrol to make sure the foxes have left? We don't want them still lurking around.
--
Cherrywhisper nodded respectfully at the medicine cat in response, before turning her kind green eyes on Duskpaw, flashing him a small but comforting smile, "I heard you fought bravely today." she said softly, almost envious at the confidence he had at such a young age in battle.

DUSKPAW:
Freshly treated, Duskpaw felt partially rejuvenated from the conflict of the day. That wasn’t to say he wasn’t still totally exhausted. He was.
He profusely thanked Nightleaf for all her help. “I can walk. Thank you again!” He hadn’t had many run-ins with the medicine cat before, but seeing her effort today had fostered a serious appreciation of her in his mind.
Then, hearing Cherrywhisper’s kind praise, he felt a delicate warmth rise throughout his body. “To be honest, I don’t know where any of that bravery came from,” he meowed. “Today was also the day I killed my first mouse!” Despite everything, he still felt a need to lighten the mood a bit.
He noticed Orchidbloom about to receive treatment for her wounds. She had been reaccepted into the clan, then. Good for her, thought Duskpaw. Any cat who doubted her loyalty hadn’t fought with her today. They hadn’t seen what he had. Pure determination in the face of evil.

Cherrywhisper felt a hint of jealousy run through her mind, but she quickly pushed it away; every cat has their different strengths, hers just didn't happen to be battle. She twitched her whiskers in amusement at his excitement, his happiness contagious. Yes, today had been full of dark and unexpected surprises. But they had fought them off: the foxes were gone, for now at least, and they had the return of a dedicated warrior to their ranks, "Well done." she purred, remembering that same pride she had when she had caught her first prey, "Mice can be difficult sometimes. You must have been pretty light on your feet to catch it."

» ROBINSTAR
Robinstar dipped his head politely to Orchidbloom to return her thanks. Still slightly flustered, he pondered the situation. He knew of the troubles that lay ahead, but he hadn't thought too much of it before. The death of Paleflax and her patrol had touched him deeply, but he had thought that it was a single, isolated incident. The foxes had proved him wrong. Everything that happened was a sign.
He found it hard to keep his calm in what could end up being a desperate situation. He painfully answered Spottedpaw's question, visions of russet furred creatures swimming around his head.
Robinstar tried to answer in simple terms. "Foxes are large creatures with red pelts, black paws, long, sharp muzzles, and bushy tails. They are enemies all right, but BloomClan can stand up to them. StarClan has promised that we will never be destroyed. However, they really don't belong in Hillpoint, and we rarely see them beyond Woodtremble and upper Flightwind." Between Orchidbloom's departure and return, he seemed less sure that the promise was genuine.
Turning toward Eaglestrike, he switched to telepathy. He thought over it, as there wasn't any way the foxes could be driven out completely like they usually were. "Thank you Eaglestrike. You can lead a patrol to check Hillpoint for any sign of fox, and chase the ones who attacked Orchidbloom across the Windcreek. However, please do avoid Flightwind until further information is acquired, and do not attack first. BloomClan is lucky to have warriors like you."
||Poof! Cats will be back at camp soon.||

Eaglestrike bowed his head respectfully in response, a brief glimmer of pride flickering in his chest at his leader's praise before he looked over the cats in the area to see who was fit enough for the patrol. Telepathically, he quickly sent a message to Ashfeather to join the patrol, hoping she could relieve some of her obvious pent-up irritation chasing off the foxes. Spottedpaw also seemed lively enough to join, despite her obvious inexperience with foxes. Spottedpaw, I need some cats for a patrol to check the foxes have fled our territory. Do you feel up for joining us? he asked her telepathically, turning towards the apprentice. He would prefer at least one of the members of the hunting patrol to also join them so that if they did run into any foxes, they could recognise their scent, but they had all unsurprisingly sustained injuries during their fight, and he didn't want to risk their safety. Besides, most of the foxes should have run off to the outskirts of their territory anyway, and it was unlikely that they would run into anymore. Three cats for the patrol would have to be enough.

Nightleaf :Nightleaf nodded to Duskpaw, before turning to Orchidbloom again. She scanned the little herbs she brought along, growling at her own stupidity. She began to apply goosegrass poultice on the gash. “Can you walk?” She asked the injured cat. “I need to get more herbs at my medicine den.” -bluestorm-Spottedpaw :Spottedpaw tried to envision a creature matching Robinstar’s description, but before she could add the bushy tail to it, Eaglestrike’s request flew in her mind. A patrol to fight foxes? More like check for foxes... but it if she encountered one, she would be able to fight it! So it still counts... ‘ Of course I would!’ She squealed, eagerness bubbling inside of her. ‘ Where do we check first?’ She asked. ashfeather

ORCHIDBLOOM:
Orchidbloom stiffened and winced a bit as Nightleaf applied her herbs. She hoped her gash would heal, because it was large enough that in the coming moons she would probably freeze without fur on the better part of the right side of her pelt. Answering the medicine cat’s question, she nodded and let out a slightly pained response: “I can walk. Made it this far didn’t I? No problem about the herbs, either. We can get them when we return to your— OUR camp.” She caught herself. She was a warrior of BloomClan once again. These cats, regardless of their opinions of her, were her sworn kin.
Orchidbloom looked again at Duskpaw, and again their gazes met. There was no way he knew that he was her kit, since she had left as soon as she could after she had given birth to him. During her days alone in the forest, she pondered what would become of her tiny gray kit. Orchidbloom had to stop herself from showing any emotion. He had become a fox-fighting, brave, loyal clan member.
As the rest of the cats headed back to camp, Orchidbloom walked side by side with Breezewhisker and Duskpaw, her partners in fox fighting. They had saved her life, and Orchidbloom was eternally grateful.

Breezewhisker continued to pad along back to camp, glancing at Orchidbloom once in a while. She seemed to be a fierce, brace warrior and the clan needed those types of cats. "Good job, to both of you." He gave an awkward nod of his head as he spoke out loud to Duskpaw and Orchidbloom. The foxes were gone, but it was obvious that more threats rose ahead. Now it was time for Breezewhisker to be more mature than he had ever been. He was obviously worried about the future for BloomClan but this battle had proven how loyal he wanted to be for his clan, and that he would lay down his life for them. Breezewhisker continued to move along to camp briskly and tried to ignore his right front paw that was throbbing rather painfully. The scratches on his pelt suddenly did sting but he tried to be brave and not wince.
Willowpaw's face was conflicted as she heard Robinstar finally speak. She narrowed her eyes, slightly troubled. BloomClan could be falling down and nobody would be able to stop it... A pack of rather determined foxes was fought off well enough by some brave warriors, but what would happen when the threats would be too large to handle? She looked down at her paws as she lagged slightly behind the rest of her group. Fear pricked at Willowpaw's pelt. Willowpaw tried to suppress them, but the darkness seemed to envelop her in waves. Being less useful wasn't going to help. If she didn't matter then her clan didn't matter to her. It did though... How could she help when she was essentially the weakest apprentice in her clan? How could she even do anything? Willowpaw unsheathed her claws and let them knead at the ground as she stopped for a moment.

Nightleaf : Nightleaf padded ahead of the group, anxiety picking at her pelt. She knew that the foxes were gone but she couldn’t help but be scared at what the future held for them. Will Bloomclan be able to face it? And more importantly, would Starclan be able to help guide their paws in the right direction? Nightleaf knew that there were more dangers in the future, meaning that Bloomclan might need their medicine cat more then ever. But would Nightleaf be able to do it alone? Nightleaf never thought about having an apprentice up until now. She never really had the patience and was a bit snappish at anyone really. Nightleaf shook the thought away. She would focus on it later. For now, her main priority was Orchidbloom’s huge gash.

||Friendly bump is friendly bump! By the way it's going to start storming soon. Just to let you know, Cloudheart was probably left in charge of guarding the camp or something. He will be included in the plot, don't worry ashfeather.|| » ROBINSTAR Robinstar was worried. New threats were approaching, and old ones were becoming near. He felt something grey and oppressive, like rain. StarClan might light up the sky soon, meaning that they best get going. The weather was becoming worse. It had to be a sign, that there were worse things to come. The leader believed that with all his heart. He had seen trouble creep closer and closer. Soon, it would be upon the clans like snow. He turned around to Cherrywhisper, Flaxtrill, and Nettlefly. "Grab a piece of prey," he hissed through gritted teeth. "Take it back to camp. Don't hunt on the way back, we can catch more at a later time. I'll deal with Rufflefur, seeing as she needs to be dealt with." » FLAXTRILL "Come on," the pale brown she cat whispered. "I suppose we've got to get these back to camp! " Flaxtrill gripped the rabbit in her jaws, countenance morphing to form a slight frown. She was not looking forward to the swim across the Riverblossom, only this time with a piece of prey on board. She decided she would take the stepping stones. » RUFFLEFUR Rufflefur wasn't too surprised; she knew that Robinstar would be miffed with her actions. There was not a clear reason for her attitude, but it was one that got on everybody's nerves. She had a lesson to learn in responsibility, and apparently Robinstar was going to teach it. The mottled brown she cat was already on the path to learning it, and this new terror mentioned by the leader had fazed her a good deal. Rufflefur's eyes sparkled in defeat as she padded after Robinstar.

𝓓𝓤𝓢𝓚𝓟𝓐𝓦:
The sight of the BloomClan camp couldn't have come soon enough for Duskpaw. Some cats had gone to make sure that the foxes were out of Hillpoint and across the Windcreek. The injured champions of the first fight, however, had finally managed to limp back home. The sky had turned from its normal color to a much more sinister dark grey, and clouds hung above. Great, thought Duskpaw. Mud awaits us. He scanned camp halfheartedly, with little energy to spare. His tired eyes landed on the Medicine Den. Laying down to sleep sounded divine.
A great many things swirled around in Duskpaw's head like the clouds did in the sky. Foxes, which despite his experiences that day, he still deeply feared. Rain, which was only going to complicate his treatment and make sleeping that much harder. His wounds. The clouds. Robinstar. Willowpaw. Orchidbloom... the cat he'd fought to save and then had saved him back. The cat who'd abandoned the clan and been allowed back.
The thoughts gradually slowed as Duskpaw entered the Medicine Den.
𝓞𝓡𝓒𝓗𝓘𝓓𝓑𝓛𝓞𝓞𝓜:
Orchidbloom was swamped with emotion as she followed Duskpaw, Breezewhisker, and the other cats into camp. She endeavored to let none of it show. Duskpaw limped towards the Medicine Den. She stayed back for a bit, gazing at her kit with pride and a good helping of melancholy. Then she shuffled behind him, taking in her surroundings and nodding respectfully to the other cats as they began to split off to the other parts of camp.
Orchidbloom was home.

[ Sorry I haven't roleplayed the last day or so, been busy with New Years and all. Yeah sure thing ͐T͐͐ᴡ͐͐ɪ͐͐ɪ͐ᴀ͐! Thanks^^ ] Cherrywhisper nodded in reply, bowing her head to pick up the mouse that Duskpaw had been so proud to catch earlier that day. She slowly followed the cats back to camp, making sure to keep a watchful eye on all the injured cats in case they needed her help. The darkening, ominous sky sent a dark fear through her, and she couldn't shake the feeling that Bloomclan would soon be facing much worse than the pack of foxes they had encountered today. But she was determined to do everything she could for her clan - they would survive this. -- Cloudheart sat patiently at the camp's entrance, his white fur a bright beacon in the dark afternoon. His ears were pricked and alert as his blue eyes scanned their surroundings, his body poised to guard the camp from any intruders. As the cats approached, he relaxed slightly, bowing his head to Robinstar in greeting, "I'm glad to see you all safe." he said aloud, not wanting to use his somewhat-weak telepathy, "There has been no sign of foxes or any other dangers approaching the camp." he reported, though his eyes looked up at the dark sky nervously. -- Eaglestrike smiled at the apprentice's enthusiasm before addressing both her and Ashfeather in response to her question, "We'll be going to check Hillpoint Downs first and chase any stray foxes across the Windcreek." he instructed, his deep voice automatically becoming more authoritative. Seeing the sky beginning to cloud over, he quickly started walking towards their destination, signalling Ashfeather and Spottedpaw to follow him as he quickened his pace to a light jog. He wanted to get there before the rain washed away any of the foxes scents, making their task a lot harder, and if there was to be a big storm, he wanted to make sure the patrol could make it back safely to camp.

(This might be a stupid question, but what does ‘bump’ mean?) Nightleaf :Nightleaf let the familiar smell of Bloomclan calm herself down, and sending all her fears for the future scurrying away. She looked uptowards the sky, curious as to why everything was much more darker then she imagined. It finally dawned on her : a storm. She sighed under her breath. She hoped that it wouldn’t flood the camp and do a lot of damage, Leaf-bare was close, so a storm would definitely decrease their chance of living through a sickness. She padded ahead of Duskpaw and Orchidbloom, eager to come back to the familiar sight of her den. Using her tail, she directed Duskpaw and Orchidbloom to the place where her patients would sit. “I’ll be back.” She said, running off to her herb collection. -bluestorm- Spottedpaw :Spottedpaw looked towards the sky, only to see darkness. ‘A storm?’ She thought, padding after Eaglestrike. [ It's just a post to 'bump' up a thread so that people are more likely to see the clan ]
Ashfeather took up the rear as the trio made their way towards the Hillpoint Downs, her irritation towards Rufflefur still having not fully dissipated from her system. Eaglestrike, leading the patrol, soon caught hold of the foxes scent - a strong and ugly smell, and distinct enough to be able follow. Smell that ugly and harsh scent? That's the foxes' scent. he said telepathically to Spottedpaw, wanting her to learn from this experience, as uneventful as it may be. The foxes seemed to have fled the area, but he lead the patrol towards Windcreek to ensure they were gone for good. While he didn't expect to run into them, his claws were unsheathed all the same, prepared for a fight at a moment's notice.

Breezewhisker quickly padded into camp, ready to tell his amazing story to everybody. He paid no mind to his injuries and quickly outpaced the others as he raced in. Quickly moving over to the fresh kill pile, Breezewhisker looked around to see Duskpaw entering the medicine den along with Orchidbloom. Should he follow suit? No... He had to be strong and pretend he wasn’t injured. A strange swell of pride comforted him from the pain in his leg as he thought about defeating the foxes, but it soon disappeared as he looked up at the sky slightly wearily. It was dark. Darker than usual. Could a storm be coming? Breezewhisker shrugged off his discomfort and plucked a scrawny mouse off the pile to eat. He ate quickly, snapping up every last bit as fast as possible. With a silent thanks to StarClan he moved away from the pile to pace around camp rather aimlessly. His gaze rested on the seemingly troubled Willowpaw sitting by the apprentice den (she had moved there right after the attack), but he brushed away the thought of talking to her. What a bore... Breezewhisker hesitantly padded over to the medicine den to see how Duskpaw and Orchidbloom were doing.
“Everything going well in there?” He peeked his head in like a curious apprentice.

Spottedpaw : Spottedpaw was running towards Hillpoint Dawn before she stopped in her tracks immediately. An unfamiliar scent had hit her, and it smelt horrible. Ashfeather’s words slipped into her mind. Her fur bristled, scared a fox would just jump on her and make the killer bite foxes were famous for. She unsheathed her claws. ‘It does smell disgusting.’ Spottedpaw added to Ashfeather. She followed Eaglestrike as they made their way to Windcreek.

» NETTLEFLY The pale brown tom grabbed Breezewhisker's water vole, slightly humming in amusement at it's oddities. Nettlefly thought water voles were strange and he rather disliked them, but it wasn't time to be choosy. He didn't want to think about the fox fight, or the darkening skies, or the troubles that lay ahead. He was proud of the part he'd played, but he didn't want to relive the moment of being pinned down by foxes. A single raindrop landed on his nose, and he felt a jolt of terror. His pace quickening, he padded into the camp. He was disheartened as he looked to the sky and to the ground. Mud will come soon...Nettlefly laid down the water vole on top of the fresh-kill pile, which looked smaller than he'd remembered. » ROBINSTAR Robinstar dipped his head to Cloudheart. "Thank you," he responded. "That's good. Thank you for keeping the clan safe. By the way, have you noticed anything strange about Treelark lately?" His voice lowered to a whisper. "Foxes have been straying from there recently and while the camp is lucky to be spared, it won't be for long. We might need to fortify the camp or move it altogether." Robinstar glanced up, where the deep boom of thunder echoed. He looked behind him at the camp, which would no doubt soon become wet. ashfeather» FLAXTRILL Flaxtrill dragged herself out of the Riverblossom, drenched with river water. Luckily the prey she held in her jaws was still dry. She dashed back to camp, determined not to be out in the coming rain. Setting the rabbit down on the pile, she looked around to take in the surroundings. The camp was probably going to flood, and Flaxtrill can't fathom why the ancient BloomClan cats set it up there.

Breezewhisker soon left the entrance of the medicine den as he saw that nothing was going on. Giving a dip of his head to Nettlefly by the fresh-kille pile, the warrior promptly padded over with a sigh. ”There’s a storm coming and there could be potential flooding or mud... What’s your take on that? I’m a bit worried myself.” He carefully sat down beside Nettlefly and observed the water vole that lay on the top of the rather small pile. “BloomClan’s not going through that good of a moon. I hope Bloomstar from StarClan above will see that we will live in peace after these troubling times!” Breezewhisker chuckled half-heartedly but his chuckles soon died down to awkward , uncomfortable silence. “Never mind.” He mumbled. He had found that it was hard to be fun after the fox attack. Maybe it was because everyone was in a rather tired mood, or maybe it was because of how the sky was darkening ominously. Maybe it was because some cats were wounded. Maybe it was because there were more threats out there... Breezewhisker decided to become more mature, for the sake of his dear clan. ͐T͐͐ᴡ͐͐ɪ͐͐ɪ͐ᴀ͐

[ I think I'll just have the patrol find nothing and return to camp to ready themselves for the next attack / flooding from the storm ]
The patrol of cats soon reached Windcreek as the first drops of rain began to fall. Eaglestrike let out a sigh of relief that they hadn't run into any of the foxes - they must have fled their territory already and would hopefully remain where they were - for now at least. He knew that the more it rained, the further the river levels would rise, and he wanted to get back to camp as soon as possible to ensure they could be of use there, particularly if this storm caused the rivers to overrun. "Looks like the foxes have already fled." he announced to his patrol, turning to face Ashfeather and Spottedpaw, "Robinstar instructed not to go any further, so we best be returning to camp soon; I don't want to be caught up in this storm."
--
Cloudheart frowned in concern, knowing just how dangerous foxes could be. But his real concern was why foxes were straying from their normal territory in the first place. Sure, it could just be lack of food - but he had a bad feeling that it was something much worse. Shaking his thoughts away, he nodded in agreement with Robinstar, "We'll have to monitor the river levels during this storm. We don't want them overflowing into the camp. Hopefully, this storm will be over quickly."

Spottedpaw :Spottedpaw nodded, a wave of relief crashing onto her. She sheathed her claws and turned back to camp. “The rain woild probably wash our scent away so the foxes can’t follow us to camp... right?” She turned to Eaglestrike and Ashfeather. She knew there was a storm brewing, so Bloomclan wouldn’t need to worry about the storm and foxes following the patrol home. ashfeather Nightleaf :Nightleaf came back with dried oak leaves. She padded towards Orchidbloom and Duskpaw. “These will help prevent infection.” She said, crushing them to collect the juices before applying them to Orchidbloom’s gash. “Don’t worry, I’ll came for you next.” She muttered to Duskpaw. -bluestorm-

Eaglestrike nodded in response, "That's one good thing about the rain, I guess." He hadn't thought of the positive effect the rain could have, but he was glad Spottedpaw had thought about it. He was still worried about the more negative effects this rain could have, however, particularly on Bloomclan's camp that was located between two rivers. He just hoped that they wouldn't overflow and flood the camp; evacuating the camp would be more difficult with several of their warriors injured from the fox attack. A loud clap of thunder sounded overhead as they drew nearer to the camp, causing the tom cat to look up at the sky with worry.

» NETTLEFLY
Nettlefly nodded in response to Breezewhisker and sat down, cleaning his whiskers. He wasn't going to pretend everything was alright when it wasn't. The season had been harsher than most. "I'm worried too," he whispered. "It might flood. It would be fairly wet, we might have to move. Why in StarClan did the ancient cats build their camp here?" Nettlefly smiled, despite his dispirited mood. "I hope so. I sure do."
» ROBINSTAR
Robinstar politely dipped his head to Cloudheart. The camp was likely to flood yet again, and something should be done. "I hope so too, although I don't feel like that would happen. Suppose we could mark the water levels on a stick, and see how much it rises during the storm. Then we could determine whether or not we could still sleep in our dens. Omens everywhere."

Cloudheart nodded, frowning in concern. For once, he remained serious during this ordeal, hiding away his normal, carefree personality. This threat felt larger somehow, and this storm following the fox attack couldn't be a good sign. He knew the clan would need all the capable warriors it could get, and that meant he would have to show his little-known serious side - at least until the threat had passed anyway. The loud sound of thunder overhead tore him from his thoughts, and he turned his attention towards the two rising rivers.
"I can mark the water levels of both rivers now; we just have to make sure that we monitor them throughout this storm." he replied to his leader, the rain coming down hard now. His wet fur clung to his sides, making him appear smaller, and seemed to have turned grey in colour. His blue eyes shone still in the growing darkness though, his determination clear. Bloomclan was tough - they could survive whatever fate had coming for them.

Breezewhisker laughed slightly at Nettlefly’s words. “I’ve always, always wondered that. Anyways... Where are we going to move?” He tilted his head with curiosity and tried to ignore the fear building up in him. He didn’t want to leave the camp he had always known as home! Shaking his head nervously, Breezewhisker looked up at Nettlefly and sighed. “Why are so many bad things happening to us?” Suddenly his eyes were wide like those of a kit’s, filled with excitement and the worry of a young one all the same. What would happen to BloomClan? All he knew was that he needed to fight any evil that threatened them, but vagueness wasn’t going to fight battles. Neither was trying to act happy when nothing was...

-bluestorm- ORCHIDBLOOM: Orchidbloom thanked Nightleaf for her help. Then, she sat next to Duskpaw as he awaited treatment from Nightleaf, taking in her surroundings and occasionally glancing around, almost defensively. She knew that some cats had not fully accepted her rejoining of the clan, and the idea of that cut deep into her. Yes, she was to blame for those feelings, but now the situation was what is was. She had helped the clan. She would help the clan. She got up fast, perhaps too fast, and felt the a faint yet sharp pain from her gash. "I'm going to make myself useful. I hope you feel better, Duskpaw." She nodded to him as she left the den, and recoiled a bit as she felt the first droplet of water land just above her black whiskers. Orchidbloom noticed Breezewhisker and Nettlefly, two cats she had fought with talking and carefully made her way to them. She noticed their upset demeanor and decided to strike up some conversation. "It's not really BloomClan's day, eh? But I know this clan, and I know our strength." She looked up at the sky. "We should prepare the camp for this storm... it could get bad." @sapphire646 @negatorri ͐T͐͐ᴡ͐͐ɪ͐͐ɪ͐ᴀ͐
