Perfect, Maplelight thought to herself. It seemed as if some of the cats in camp were starting to regain their usefulness and start patrolling. That was what the Clan needed right now, patrols and cats on guard. The badgers had ran away according to Hickoryburn, one of the only cats that had survived the patrol, but one could never know when they may return. The camp was at least safe. A badger wouldn’t want to cross the tree-bridge.
The molly stood straight and tall, a commanding posture, as Stormcreek and Briarcurl made their way over. She dipped her head in greeting to the two males. ”Morning, Stormcreek, Briarcurl.” Her green gaze brushed over both before she continued, ”You are no bother at all. In fact, I was about to take out a patrol myself. If you wouldn't mind, I could tag along.” She left her statement open for either warrior to agree or disagree with; she knew that the two were almost mates, if not mates already, and she would take no part in them being all lovey dovey on a patrol if that’s what they really wanted to do. Romance wasn’t something Maplelight was totally against, but it didn’t take much for the concept to get her stomach rolling. Hawktalon was feeling restless, and noticed Stormcreek and Briarcurl going over to join Maplelight near the entrance to the Camp. It seemed like they may be going out on a patrol - that would be a good way for him to get some of this restless energy out. He slowly padded over, mewing a greeting, "Morning. Are you headed out on patrol?" He hoped they didn't think he was intruding... |

Maplelight's ears perked forward when she heard the voice of Hawktalon. Charming as ever she dipped her head in greeting, flashing him a welcoming smile. "We are, in fact; however," Maplelight looked around for any warrior that seemed to currently be doing nothing productive, "why not lead your own patrol? Head toward the pines. Most cats will want to search the moors for signs of the badgers, but we need to keep an eye out on all parts of our territory." Maplelight was planning on taking her patrol to the moors. Between her, Stormcreek, and Briarcurl, if a badger showed its ugly face they could easily take it. They'd have those mangy creatures packing before they knew what hit them.
"Bring Ambersplash with you," the tortoiseshell meowed. The daughter of Harestreak seemed to be doing nothing productive at the moment. Putting her on patrol would give her something to do and also make the Clan more productive than it currently was. "If anything happens, report it to me, okay?" It was a bold move to make herself the one a patrol would report back to, but some cat had to do it, and Maplelight was going to take that bold step forward and show that she was a true leader already. |

Swiftplover was a tad nosy at times, but that wasn't something she would admit openly. Padding closer to a forming patrol that Maplelight was going to lead, she overheard Hawktalon being offered a chance to lead a group of his own. It wouldn't hurt to ask and join, right? There was no reason for him to turn her down anyways, and if he did, she would challenge the tom.
Within several moments, the feline appeared by the fellow warrior's side, olive green eyes peering at him attentively. "Good morning, Hawktalon," she greeted with a light flick of her tail.
Before continuing her remark, Swiftplover stumbled upon a pause. She needed to be careful when wording her question as she didn't want to sound intrusive nor controlling. All she wanted to ask was very simple, but at this point, it wouldn't matter. He would have to say yes unless he really thought a patrol to the pines was easy to do alone. "I overheard that you were chosen to lead a patrol. Would you mind if I tag along?"

[ dogjaw - lost in moonclan territory ]
For StarClan sake, Dogjaw, how did you get yourself lost in your own Clan's territory? To be honest, this was not the first time the semi-new warrior known as Dogjaw had lost himself in MoonClan's territory. This time, he had been roaming the woods, nearing the border, when somehow he wandered a little too far, unable to figure out what direction he had come from. The grey tom was absolutely flustered. He knew the territory like the back of his paw, or so he thought he did.
If only I had spent more time hunting and less time practicing battle moves..
The tomcat continued wandering, ducking under branches and weaving between bushes. All of a sudden, he stumbled, limbs entangled and flailing wildly. Dogjaw landed, uttering a painful mrowww as he realized his landing zone was a bramble thicket. Thorn threatened to pierce his skin, tearing at his fur. The grey tomcat huffed angrily, accepting defeat. He hoped that somebody would come to his rescue.

Feeling a young tree limb shake underneath his weight, Hemlocksky had spent part of his day climbing in the tree tops on his own. He hadn't been in camp for quite some time now, and to be frank, he didn't want to return. The abrupt sound of a mrrow interrupted his thoughts, sending the feline toppling down.
He really wasn't in the mood to be searching for a mysterious sound, but it seemed to be his only option. A soft mumble left his pale maw before getting to his paws properly as he decided to search the area. Maybe whoever made that sound was around here? If they weren't, the white tom knew he wouldn't bother to look for them any further.
A mass of grey fur lied on the forest floor, not far from where he had toppled down. Curiosity took over the warrior as he leapt ahead to see what it was. Unexpectedly to Hemlocksky, it was the one and only Dogjaw.
How in the world did he end up near the clearing? Surely that was a far travel from camp, though it was one he had memorized so well that he had forgotten how long it took to reach the forest. Having yet to approach the fellow warrior, he stood still near a holly bush that was across from him. He knew it would be best to check on the young warrior, so he bound ahead, almost tumbling once again.
"S-Sorry! I-I saw you over here and thought you could use some help..." the solid white tom drawled sheepishly before eyeing Dogjaw. "H-How'd you end up out here? U-Usually no one is around, except for the average hunting patrol.."
Being as oblivious as he was, Hemlocksky had yet to notice that young grey feline's pelt was snagged onto a bramble thicket. He was no hero for his young denmate at all. |

Hawtalon nodded his head at Maplelight's suggestion, it did make more sense to have more than one patrol out to make sure they covered as much territory as they could. As he turned away to find Ambersplash, he heard Swiftplover call out a greeting. "Morning, Swiftplover" he replied. She hesitated for a few moments and he waited for her to bring up whatever it was the she-cat wanted to ask him. Her question didn't really surprise him, and he would be grateful for the company. "That would be helpful, actually", he meowed. "We should get a couple of other cats to come along as well. I was just about to look for Ambersplash. Are there any other warriors or apprentices who you think should go on patrol with us?" |

A large bright redish ginger tabby tom, with white paws, chest, muzzle and tail tip with pale green eyes. He has muedium-long tamed fur with wide pointy ears.
