Story of Ripplepond and Blackadder. The last part is almost word for word in our RP.
Streampool's eyes stared at him lifelessly. Ripplepond felt every piece of him pulled apart. She couldn't be dead. Not after everything. Those eyes, blue as the river, looked the same as they did moons ago. - "Nice catch," Streampaw purred, watching him shake off water droplets. Ripplepond purred as he glanced at her. "You too. You'll be a warrior soon," he promised, taking his place by the river next to her. "Blackpaw thinks so too," Streampaw agreed and Ripplepond made an effort to make his fur lay flat. Blackpaw was always trying to get time with Streampaw. He changed the subject. "Who do you think Spottedstar will name deputy?" Ripplepond asked casually, barely watching the river. "I don't know. It still seems too soon after Ripplestar died," Streampaw meowed sadly. "But you could be. Pebblepaw is becoming a warrior tonight. You are definitely a loyal warrior," She added, looking up at him. Ripplepond purred, looking into her eyes, seeing all the love he felt reflected in them. - Blood swirled around his paws. He knew he was next. - "Ripplepond, can I talk to you?" Streampool asked, leaning against him. He nodded, giving Dawnrose a last order before following his mate. She sat down looking at him with happiness. "I'm expecting kits!" She purred. Ripplepond stood numb in shock. Kits? "Ripplepond?" Streampool frowned. He gave her a lick on the ear. "I love you," he meowed, purring. She closed her eyes and leaned against him. Ripplepond couldn't be happier. Out of the corner of his eye, Ripplepond saw Blackadder glaring at him. This was unforgivable. - Battle, accidents, death berries, adder, fight. The words circled his head like a mantra. Spottedstar was in danger. His mate and kits were in danger. Blackadder wanted them dead. Blackadder wanted him to suffer. Ripplepond stood on the bank, his mind racing. Too many deaths in Riverclan. All because of Blackadder. Suddenly it became clear. What he had to do. "Streampool," he breathed. She had to know the truth. As though she heard him, Streampool came through the reeds, gazing at him as she stood by the river. "Blackadder-" He started. She laid her tail on his shoulder. "I know." He looked into her eyes. Love, understanding, fear, determination and so many things looked back at him. "Together?" He asked, knowing the answer. "Always." - Streampool was tackled by Stormblaze before they even realized they were watching them. Ripplepond watched her fall backward, ready to help, but someone else dominated his attention. "Prepare to die Ripplepond!" Blackadder hissed, pacing over. "Coward," Ripplepond spat, watching him carefully, aware of the fight behind him. "You are prepared to destroy Riverclan for revenge?" "Riverclan will thrive without you!" Blackadder declared. "The others were weak. They deserved to die." Ripplepond charged forward and they clashed, claws digging into fur and each fighting to kill. Ripplepond broke away, bleeding on his side. Blackadder's eye was bleeding and he panted. He was prepared to pounce when a unearthly yowl came from behind them. Stormblaze stood over Streampool, his muzzle coated with her blood. Ripplepond knocked him off and looked desperately into her eyes. Her neck was bloody and her head tipped back into the river. "I love you," she mouthed, unable to speak. Ripplepond watched the river turn red as anger built in him. He turned around to see Blackadder look as shocked as him. Fury rushed through his veins. In one powerful swipe he knocked Stormbalze over and pinned him down, his fangs an inch from Stormblaze's throat. Streampool wouldn't want me to become this... Ripplepond released his hold on the warrior and faced Blackadder, who had recovered and was ready for an attack. "All those cats you killed, they were loyal to their last breath," Ripplepond hissed. "But I'm ready to die. Can you say the same?" Blackadder growled. "I won't die. You can't beat me." "No cat is immortal. You have proven that. But your scared Blackadder. Like a kit. Like you were as an apprentice. Scared of rejection and now, of death." He meowed calmly, though every word punctuated with anger. "You will die Blackadder. However you have nothing after death. I have Starclan." He glanced at Streampool. "You've always had nothing." Blackadder was filled with rage at Ripplepond's little speech, "I was the right tom for her!" he snapped, "You were too weak for her!" he lunged at the deputy his claws and jaws wide. Ripplepond took a step back until he stood by Streampool. All he heard was his heartbeat and the river churning beside him. All he saw was Blackadder. His jaws coming closer. Pain ripped through him as he fell back into the river. His head fell limply and he watched as his blood mixed with Streampool's and tainted the river red. He gazed into her dead eyes. Then the world went black. Written by Dawn

This story is about Fang's past.This didn't happen in rp.. Fanged Salvation's story:
Fang played with his younger sister,May.He purred as she was pined down.
"Get off! Mom!" May wailed.

Fang's father looked up tasting the air,he bristled and looked at the door.Fang followed his gaze and saw a black tom with amber eyes.Fang's father and the stranger had talked for a while and the stranger would stay for the night.Fang and his siblings were not allowed to talk to him.Fang admired the cat,he looked very important and powerful.
"Stay away from him" his mother whispered to him "He's dangerous."

The Finding
Scrap jumped over the black mound. He looked around to see if the cats that had claimed this place had seen him. No one. He quickly ripped open the mound as his mom had taught him to. Mom. He missed her. No, this is not the time and place to think about her. He sniffed around at the inside, his lip curling as he smelled crow food. He stuck his head inside a looked around for anything edible. Nothing. As he backed out and shook his head he heard a a cat meow by his ear. "Hello, I know you." Scrap stumbled backwards to find he was looking at the cat strait in the face. "I-" he stammered before his feet were knocked out from under him. He cracked his head on stone and felt a warm liquid running down it. He looked up at the cats. "I'm sorry, I was hungry and-" one of the cats slashed at him before he could finish. "This is our place. You're lucky we let you live. Now get out while you're still alive you sniveling kit." As he ended what he was saying he shoved Scrap outside the boundary line. Scrap looked back at the cats and got up. He looked at the cats and smirked. He knew he would get them back someday. But he didn't know how. He snarled in frustration. And stalked off of the stone walkway. That night he spent in the yard of a twoleg's house. He was under a bush nursing his head wound. That morning he got up and tried to look around in the direction opposite the place he had lived all his life. The place he'd grown up. But he knew that if he was going to survive he would have to leave. He got up from under the bush and climbed the fence. He sat on top of the fence for a few heartbeats. He surveyed the forest that loomed in front of him. His eyes closed and he smelled the wind on his cheek. He opened his eyes and whispered a good-bye to his home. He ran through the forest and by a river. He climbed a tree with a hollow inside it and stayed for the night. The next day he saw some other cats. He observed them, and seeing they had no intention of killing he swallowed and got himself prepared. He knew that if he would ever be able to get Rage back for killing his mom, dad, and siblings he would have to have friends. So he stepped out from hiding and to the cats. Written by Wolfp3lt

Rain
I was born on the start of newleaf, during a heavy shower by the river. My mother had three kits that day; only I survived. The other two died of cold three days after being born. A day later, my mother passed away from grief.
I never met my father, he probably doesn't know I exist. I was left alone with three dead cats, a perfect target for predators. The rain gradually stopped and the river slowed and I didn't move from their bodies. I would have been dead if another loner hadn't helped me. He was a large long furred grey tom and was fishing when he saw me. I was a small helpless kit and he took pity on me and let me follow him.
He taught me how to swim and fish, how to defend myself, and how to become invisible. He told me stories of clans across the river, who lived together and helped each other. He never told me his name and I never asked.
It was like this for moons. We were each other's family, traveling and hunting together. I grew and became experienced in the art of stealth. I would often go ahead and scout out dangers or other cats. One day, I went ahead to make sure the scent of cat was stale. By the time I came back, the tom was gone. I traced his scent as far as I could back to the river, but I never found him.
After that, I lived on my own, enjoying the solitude and free will. But something was missing. For some reason, I kept gazing across the river.
One day, I was tracking a fox when I heard young cats walk nearby. I was able to stalk them and eavesdrop on their conversations. They were clan cats, like the Tom told me about, and by the sound of it they ran away. I could have left them; I should have. But they wouldn't last a minute without their clan in my world. I followed them, taking care of the predators that threatened them without alerting the apprentices. But one day I grew tired and a fox attacked a she-cat. I revealed myself and helped to fight it off.
I introduced myself as a loner, and they told me their funny names. "We come from Riverclan," one explained, "But we ran away." I convinced them to return, that they were at danger.
"But what about you, uh, what was your name?" Another asked defiantly.
"I don't have one," I responded, impatiently. "And I have been alone my whole life. I can take care of myself."
"You don't have a name?!" A Tom asked incredulous. "How do you not have a name?"
"No one has ever had to give me one," I answered.
A small she cat gazed at my with large eyes. "That's sad. Don't you ever get lonely?"
"No," I snapped at her, keeping my eyes ahead of me. "Come on, we are almost to the river."
She didn't seem offended but followed closely. "Well, I think you need a name. That way, if we see you again, we can call you something."
She didn't look like she was going to give up, so I sighed and faced her. "Fine. Call me Rain."
She was satisfied with the name and hurried to catch up with the others at the river's edge. They crossed quickly, light hearted and happy. "Bye Rain!" The she-cat called, waving her tail. I nodded good bye and watched them leave. I felt strangely happy and turned back to find a place to rest.
That night, I thought about them. I felt crashing loneliness all around me. Until then, I had never thought about my lack of contact. I was content with my life. But now there was a whole other world of clan mates. I couldn't lie to myself; I wanted that.
At the same time, I didn't like being surrounded by cats or trusting others. It was one of those things loners couldn't forget. You don't trust anyone, you don't mistrust anyone. I liked being hidden and listening, not being heard. I was sneaky and made my own decisions. I couldn't be a clan cat.
But I was drawn to it. More then often, I found myself across the river in their territory, watching patrols of cats hunt and train. But I heard snips of conversations; something was wrong. I quickly identified evil cats. They lurked in shadows, whispered to the darkness and their teeth shone maliciously.
I heard battles and fights one day. Cats were dieing and killing. I was attempting to hide when a grey Tom crashed through the under rush, locked in combat with a large black Tom. They both ignored me and the black cat pinned the other. He lunged for the other's throat and I reacted with instinct.
I slashed at the first and pushed him off. The other scrambled up and took over. He clawed the other and I fled, knowing I was trespassing.
A few days later, I crossed back in, curious by the easy silence. I did not try and hide as a patrol of cats came upon me.
"Who are you?" A long legged dark grey tabby hissed.
"Easy Pebbleskip," I recognized the grey Tom calm the other. "She helped chase off Blackadder."
Pebbleskip glared threateningly, showing off his large muscles. "Watch it loner."
I ignored him and glanced at the other. He watched me curiously. "You helped me. Why?" I didn't answer. "I'm Stonestep, I mean, Stonestar," He introduced, glancing sheepishly at Pebbleskip. "I'm leader of Riverclan."
"Hello," I greeted.
"Why don't you come back to camp with us?" He suggested kindly.
I glanced back across the river. For a moment, I was tempted to go back. But my heart willed my to follow the kind leader.
I walked beside him, taking in the scent of cats. "I'm Rain." Written by Dawn

Scarstar's accident~ How she went from Stealthpaw to Scarfur Stealthpaw was jumping around in excitement, she was finally an apprentice! She was sad that her mother, Jasmineleaf, and father, Blackfrost, could not be with her, but she knew they were watching from Starclan. Her green eyes were bright, and her fur glowed because the queens wouldn't let her go otherwise. She stared up at the tallrock, her eyes wide, it was so big!
"Stealthkit!" Willowstar yowled, looking down at the young she-kit. Stealthkit yelped softly and ran over quickly, starting to clamber up the giant rock.
"Y-Yes W-Willowstar." Stealthkit mewled softly, her voice stumbling over her words.
"Stealthkit, from this moment on, until you revieve you warrior name, you shall be known as Stealthpaw. Runningbreeze, you have mentored apprentices in the past, and I want to see you pass down your knowledge and respect to this young she-cat, you shall be Stealthpaw's apprentice." Willowstar yowled to the clan down below.
"Stealthpaw! Stealthpaw!" The clan yowled and cheered as she scrambled down to meet her mentor.
Runningbreeze's eyes glowed as he beamed at the young she-cat. "You will make a great warrior someday." He mewed, touching noses with her.
"I'm glad, it felt like six moons was never going to go by!" Stealthpaw squeaked, her gray and white fur now ruffled. Her black spotted ears flickered as she listened to the howling of the wind.
*Two moons later*
Stealthpaw crouched low to the ground, staring at her prey. It was fat rabbit, and her claws dug at the ground under paw.
Runningbreeze pressed his paw onto Stealthpaw's tail, which had been waving and flickering constantly. Stealthpaw yelped and jumped scaring her prey away and twisted around to glare at her mentor, swiping her tail away from his grasp. "Keep your tail still Stealthpaw, for one with such a long tail, you should know that by now."
Stealthpaw frowned and brought her tail to her, wrapping it all the way around her paws and some. "Sorry Runningbreeze." She mewed softly, looking down at the ground.
Runningbreeze sighed and cuffed her ear. "Now we lost that rabbit, so we will have to track down another one. No worries, you are still young." He meowed.
Stealthpaw nodded and got to her paws and ran through the moors, loving the way the wind blew back her short fur. She skidded suddenly, a sudden new scent hit her nose. She hit something in her skid, and looked up to see a strange animal. Her green eyes widened, she had never seen something like this thing before. She was frozen in fear, her tail limp behind her.
"Stealthpaw, run!" Runningbreeze yowled, racing after her quickly. The scent of badger hit him like a rushing monster.
He stopped and his own green eyes widened, his fur bristling. She was staring right at it!
Stealthpaw squealed and tried to scamper away, but her paws kept slipping on the grass, which was still wet with dew. The badger reared up on it's hind paws and swiped down at the young apprentice. "Runningbreeze!" She cried out, barely dodging the claws. One hooked her shoulder, tearing at her fur and skin.
Runningbreeze raced over and jumped on the badger's back. Tearing at it's back, the badger bucked and roared, throwing Runningbreeze off it's back.
Stealthpaw was still frozen, and the badger reared again and swiped at the young apprentice. Hooking a claw around her throat, spinning her around in the air, she landed with a heavy THUD! She felt the heaviness of it's paws landing on her, and teeth tearing at her fur. Everything started to go black, and she swore she heard Runningbreeze yowl and the battle cries of many other warriors come running towards them. She blacked out, last thinking Now I can join my mother and father in Starclan. I'm sorry, my dreams are no longer valuable.
*A moon later*
"She's not going to wake up Runningbreeze, Willowstar. She was a talented she-cat, but it's over, she will not be breathing within the next few sunrises." Foxstep growled softly. Her fur bristled as she stared at Willowstar and Runningbreeze.
"She dreamed, always talking about becoming someone great. She has to wake up, she can't die like this, she was terrified by that badger!" Runningbreeze growled, staring over Foxstep's shoulder at the limp form. Stealthpaw laid there limply, her chest rising and falling slowly, her body battered and broken. Cobwebs covered just about her entire body, and medicines from Dock to Comfrey root to Chervil.
"I must do a ceremony then. She had grown very well, and learned most things about being a warrior, I will give her a warrior name, for when she travels to Starclan." Willowstar said, pushing past the stubborn medicine cat. I ask my warrior ancestors to look down on this apprentice. She has learned the warrior code and given up her life in the service of her Clan. Let StarClan receive her as a warrior. She will be known as Scarfur."
"That is an old ceremony Willowstar, rarely used anymore." Runningbreeze meowed solemnly.
"What are you thinking?! Scarfur, really, what kind of name is that?!" Foxstep hissed, rusty fur bristling.
"A name that," Couch, "fits." A soft, chocked voice mewed, and everyone turned to stare and the blank green eyes that had opened.
"Stealthpaw!" Runningbreeze said in surprise, eyes widened.
Scarfur struggled to get to her paws, and stumbled over to lean against Runningbreeze so she could look out on the camp. "Don't, call me that." She choked out, her balance off and her tail dragging the ground.
"Lay back down!" Foxstep snapped. Scarfur stared at the medicine cat but nodded, stumbling back to her nest, she flopped onto the ground.
"She awakes, how fortunate. You will not be able to train for a while, and you will still be an apprentice, we will use your new name as your warrior name, Scarfur." Willowstar meowed, then turned and left the den. Runningbreeze ran after to try and talk some sense into the leader.
Scarfur curled up, tail over her paws, as the pain started to return. She looked around to find the pool in the medicine den, and got to her paws wearily, and padded over to look down. She stared at the cat that faced her. The beautiful gray and white fur was sticky with lost blood, and cobwebs surrounded her entire neck. Her body was covered in smaller scars, except for the one that appeared as a kittypet collar, and the one that scarred her shoulder blade. I may be scarred up, but I will continue on my quest to become a better leader then Windclan has ever seen. Scarfur, that is my new name, it fits me now, Stealthpaw has died, and Scarfur has been born. She thought as she padded away back to her nest to sleep away the pain.

Sweetmoss and her family, the tragedy that just kept on striking
Sweetmoss watched as her daughter, Lavenderpaw, prepared the dead body of Flowerpetal. They had been good friends, and it was hard to see such a young she-cat pass away from something like Greencough. She shook her head and padded towards the warrior den, to get some sleep. She was no longer deputy, she had dropped that to have her lovely kits with Skyrain, Brackenfall and Lavenderpaw.
Lavenderpaw looked around camp and sighed. Though she was blind, it was tiresome to smell each plant and use them. She had just finished using the lavender and rosemary on Flowerpetal's pelt, so that the stench of death wouldn't be so harsh. She knew though that now she would be joining Talonclaw up in Starclan. She couldn't be mad, knowing that the she-cat would now be with her mate, but she was sad because they had grown up around each other. They were half sisters as well. She shook her head and padded away as Skyrain and Lynxclaw padded up and sat vigil with their daughter.
Brackenfall sat beside the warrior den entrance, shaking his head. "Why did you die?" He muttered, not wanting to believe it. His half sister, murdered by something that so rarely took the life of a warrior.
***
It had been three moons since Flowerpetal's death. The cats of the clans went on, as if nothing had happened. Lavenderpaw sat in camp, her tail wrapped around her paws. Her nose twitched, and something smelled, off. She looked around, her blind blue and amber eyes blinking constantly. She got to her paws, and padded over to her mentor.
"Eaglecry? What smells so funny? I've never come across it before..." She mewed softly. She stared up at him, waiting patiently for his answer, until two warriors and an apprentice came screeching into camp.
"Fire! Fire!" They yowled, and everyone came running out.
Sweetmoss bolted out of the warrior den, "Brackenfall, where is my son?!" She yelled at the two warriors, her eyes narrowed.
"Caught in fire, we didn't even smell it until it was right on us." One warrior said.
The camp went into panic mode, everyone raced in and out of camp. Several cats got moss and soaked it into the stream as the fire struck the camp. Lavenderpaw helped, putting out the smaller branches of fire. In the end, three cats were missing, and never found, Brackenfall included. The fire put out, it was a while before prey would completely returned, and a camp vigil was held for the three now in Starclan. Skyrain and Sweetmoss almost never left the other's side, and Lavedenderpaw barricaded herself in the medicine den.
***
Lavenderpaw padded out of camp, a warrior and two apprentices on her heels. She was searching for herbs in the desecrated forest, hoping to find something. Her nose in the air, she scented something familiar and took off, leaving the others in the dust. There! She thought, and skidded to a stop. Honey! She looked around, noticing that pawsteps were far away from her. She sighed, and started climbing the tree alone. Scrambling up, she was careful to pay attention to the pawholds she could find. When she reached the honey, she started to clamber onto the branch, when her paw slipped on the sticky sweet stuff, and she screeched as she fell, trying to grasp the tree branch.
"Lavenderpaw!" She heard a yowl, just as everything went back and her head snapped up and down. The yowl was familiar, it was of her mother. It was to late, she was already following Her brother and half-sister into Starclan.
***
Sweetmoss cried, her son and daughter, both gone now. No matter how much Skyrain tried to comfort her, it was no good, she knew he was grieving for all three of his kits. She shook her head, and left camp to hunt. Followed by two warriors, it was a normal hunting day for the most part.
"Keep calm, everything will be fine." One of them told her, but she waved them off with her tail. She wasn't in the mood today.
She jumped into a tree, taking down a small sparrow. She looked down with the sparrow in her jaws. Her nose turned up and bile came up in her throat. She dropped the sparrow, "FOX!" She howled to her teammates.
The fox looked up as the sparrow fell. Wolfish grin, it barked and tried to climb her tree. Sweetmoss yowled and jumped, landing on it's back. They rolled and tumbled, bit and clawed. Sweetmoss ended up underneath, and she knew it was the end. She had damaged the fox enough for her teammates to kill it as they dragged it off of her, but the wound on her belly was to great. She was going to bleed to death, and she accepted it.
"Goodbye my love...Skyrain." She meowed one last time before her eyes glazed over, and she padded onto the path to her family, finally at last, home.

Snake's Story
Okay, you want to hear it? Fine. I'll warn you now though, it isn't pleasant.
I was born a rouge. I had 2 siblings. A sister and a brother. My sister was Flower and my brother was Arch. We lived in the twoleg place. It was horrible there. So many dogs and monsters... And the twolegs of course. I never met my dad. He is the space in my life I can never fill. My life changed the day my brother and sister were taken by twolegs. My mother was powerless to stop them. She didn't eat for a while. And when she woke up from her stupor she took me away from that place. We went into the forest and I thought that we were safe there. Than one day I woke up and my mother was hissing. It was a fox. She clawed at it and yowled at me to run. I ran, but not far. I hid in some mushrooms so the fox couldn't find my scent. She leaped at it and the fox bite her on the throat and didn't let go. I knew that as soon as the jaws clamped shut that she was dead. The fox let her body drop and he sniffed the air and the den we had been sleeping in. He stalked off somewhere. After that, well, it's just a blur. All I remember is pressing my nose into my mothers fur and running off into the woods. I lived off what ever I was able to catch, which wasn't much, and any crowfood I found. The next thing I remember is smelling a cat. I shrank back into the bushes. It was a black cat with a silver stomach. He smelled me and cornered me in the bush. He told me his name was Nightblaze and that he wasn't going to harm me. He asked me who I was, what I was doing here and where my parents were. Needless to say I told him everything. He took me to Shadowclan camp and I'm a Shadowclan warrior through and through. Now please go away and stop bothering me. Oh, and if you here from a kittypet by the name Arch, or Flower, let me know. Lupinespirit
Do you ever wonder what it is like to be a medicine cat? To dream among the stars and heal among the broken?
It's a difficult task. Starclan had chosen me for this when I was just a kit, and guided me to Riverclan. They still guide me today, showing me my path, though it twists many a time.
Riverclan's old medicine cat, Quietcreek, had passed away when I arrived. No one knew who would become the new medicine cat, and how they would learn.
It soon became clear I was the cat to continue in the path of healing, and I was sent to Moonstone the next Medicine cat gathering. The others were kind and helpful, and taught me to touch the Moonstone and I would find sleep.
When I opened my eyes, a small tom I had never seen before stood next to me. He smelled like my new home, and his eyes brimmed with wisdom. "Welcome, Lupinekit. I am Quietcreek, Riverclan's previous medicine cat."
I nodded politely, still slightly in awe.
"I passed away at an unfortunate time. Now, it is my job to mentor you past death. I will walk in your dreams and in your wake," Je explained kindly. "It is now time for your apprentice ceremony."
~~~~~~~
I trained for countless moons, much longer than any other warrior apprentice. I became skilled in herbs and their uses. Quietcreek also taught me the mysteries of dreams, along with his mentor, Sweetgrass.
No cat ever saw or heard Quietcreek or Sweetgrass. They never believed I could become a full medicine cat without a living mentor.
But now I am Lupinespirit, full medicine cat of Riverclan, and it is time for Starclan to send me my own apprentice, so I can pass along the knowledge I learned from Starclan. Written by Dawn
Tale of Twins~ Promise Never Kept.
My name is Eagleheart, I was born and raised in Windclan with my sister, Redpetal. Growing up, everyone swore we were attached at the hips, because we never did anything without the other. We got in trouble a lot, and was practically bound to the nursery until we were six moons. I remember our story well.
I was sitting beside the entrance to the nursery, watching the clan silently. My sister, Redkit, stumbled up to me, her dusty red, white, and black fur poofy and shiny.
"Come on Eaglekit! We are going to be apprentices today!" She squealed, watching me with her large blue eyes. I could only sigh and look at her.
"Let's make a promise Redkit." I told her, and watched her frown and pad up beside me to sit down. We never did look the same, but everyone knew we were siblings.
"What Eaglekit?" She asked, watching me with slightly narrowed eyes. Her tail twined with mine.
"Let's promise to train together, and always have the other's back, be warriors together." I meowed to her, glancing back out at the camp.
"Promise." We said together, watching the other's eyes. I thought our promise would last, it should have.
Sunrises turned to moons, and as we grew as apprentices, we started to grow apart. I was horrified personally. She went one way, and I went another, until our joined warrior ceremony.
"Eaglepaw, Redpaw, from this moment on, you two shall be known as Eagleheart and Redpetal!" The leader yowled, and we looked at each other happily. Then my heart broke when Redpetal looked at the leader and announced,
"I wish to join the nursery, the life of a warrior, is not the life for me." She said calmly, her eyes on the brown tom known as Rockdust. I never did like that tom, and shortly after they had been together, she broke off from him and had their daughter, Rosekit. They both raised her, but they never saw eye-to-eye again. Redpetal and I have never been the same since that day, and in a sense, I lost my sister.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My name is Redpetal, and I am a permanent Queen of Windclan. I was born and raised here with my brother, Eagleheart. I learned early on that the life of a warrior was not for me, but I couldn't tell my brother that. Everyone swore we were joined at our hips, because we never left the other's side as kits. Always in trouble, we were bound to the nursery until we were six moons old because of it. Our story, is one that I will never forget.
I awoke in the morning and glanced up tiredly to see a shadow in the entrance to the nursery. I was not awake long though, before my mother and the other Queens freaked and started cleaning my red fur in a frenzy. I had forgotten, our apprentice ceremony was today! I padded over to the calico cat to realize it was my brother, Eaglekit. I suddenly became nervous, and feared what he would say when I told him I didn't want to be a warrior. I put on an act though, for him.
"Come on Eaglekit! We are going to be apprentices today!" I squealed happily, filling sorry that I lied to him. He turned to look at me and sighed. I stared at his one amber eye and one green eye.
"Let's make a promise Redkit." He meowed, and I was in shock. What could he want me to promise too?!
"What Eaglekit?" I asked, my eyes narrowing against the sun slightly. I twined my tail with his, in comfort.
"Let's promise to train together, and always have the other's back, be warriors together." He said, glancing towards the came.
"Promise." We meowed together, and I nodded slightly, though my heart felt like it was going to explode from the lie.
Time went on, and we slowly grew apart. It was hard to watch him fall away from me, but it was more like I fell away from him. It was even worse, when our warrior ceremony came around.
"Eaglepaw, Redpaw, from this moment on, you two shall be known as Eagleheart and Redpetal!" The leader yowled, and we looked at each other happily. I know I messed up when I spoke,
"I wish to join the nursery, the life of a warrior, is not the life for me." I said loudly, calmly. Eagleheart's eyes widened in horror, but I only glanced at him once, my eyes were on the warrior, Rockdust. A small brown tabby tom, he was handsome in my eyes, but in truth, it was only a fling. It didn't last long, and I broke things off shortly before our daughter, Rosekit, was born. We both raised her, but I never looked at him like that again.
I regret my choice, but I don't at the same time. I should have told Eagleheart when we were kits, but I couldn't bring myself to say it. The biggest mistake of my life, was promising Eagleheart I would be a warrior with him, when I never planned to be. Could I have changed for him? Could I have told him the truth? Yes and yes, but I didn't, and now I can't change anything, just let life go on and hope to patch things up with my beloved twin brother. Written by Scarfur#1

The Rain-kit
(Warning: This has horrible grammar and spelling and prepare for random things will pop up, like this. As you can tell, the title probably makes no sense to the story. Remember, you have been warned)
(Another warning: Honeyspeckle and Mapleflower are figments of my imagination)
Snow swirled around the nursery. The wind was just getting worse and worse. Mintsong was coughing non-stop. Honeyspeckle was giving her herbs, but it wasn't working to well. Goldenclaw was pacing nervously around the nursery. "How is she?" He meowed, sounding more scared then he looked.( *in random caveman voice* Good, Goldie, you being good queen ) "You mustn't worry Goldenclaw, she'll be fine before you know it." Honeyspeckle meowed calmly. Mintsong felt a tender kick inside her belly. I hope the kits don't die or get sick. She thought to herself. She started coughing even more. Honeyspeckle layed some catmint next to Mintsong, "Eat these." Mintosong gradually ate them. The wind blew harder. "This storm is just getting stronger!" Goldenclaw growled to himself, still pacing. Mintsong felt a strong kick. She winced, "Honeyspeckle! The kits are coming!" She let out a hoarse cough. Goldeclaw's eye's widen. Honeyspeckle turned to Goldenclaw, "Get me some borage and poppy seeds." Goldenclaw raced out of the nursery and into the storm. "Stay calm, Mintsong," Honeyspeckle meowed gently. She grabbed a stick that the wind must've blown inside the nursery, "Bite on this when you feel pain."(Maybe It's Jayfeather's stick! ) Mintsong leaned down to pick up the stick with her mouth. Honeyspeckle started saying soothing words to Mintsong. Mintsong let out a cough. She felt a spasm and a little kit slid out. She bit into the stick; She bit the stick so hard that it broke into peices. Honeyspeckle picked up the kit and started licking it. Goldenclaw raced back inside, herbs in his mouth, "Are these it?" He meowed with a mouthful of herbs. Honeyspeckle nodded and left the little kit next to Mintsong's belly. She layed the herbs next to Mintsong and meowed calmly, "It's alright, now. You gave birth to a healthy little she-kit." (Congrats Goldie ) Goldenclaw purred at his daughter. Mintsong started coughing again. The new-born kit mewled. The snow turned into a steady, but still heavy, rain. Honeyspeckle looked at Mintsong sadly, "Mintsong, I'm afraid you might have Greencough," she nudged some more catmint toward Mintsong's direction, "Eat these quickly." Mintsong munched the Catmint, not wanting her daughter to die because of her. She looked over at Goldenclaw, who was looking at her worridly, "What should we name her?" "Now?" He asked. The little silver kit squealed and tried to nudge closer toward Mintsong, but Mintsong started coughing again. The kit fell and mewled again, desprete for warmth. Goldenclaw went over to lick the little kit. Honeyspeckle left to repect their privacy. Mintsong let out a cough and nodded, "Yes, now." The rain got louder, and you could hear lightning in the distance. "What about, Rainkit? She was born in the rain, after all." Goldenclaw meowed, a little anxious. "Rainkit," she repeated slowly, "Yes, I like that name." Rainkit mewled even more and nuzzled closer to Mintsong. The storm had finished and the other queens and kits came back from the elder's den. Honeyspeckle slowly padded back into the nursery, "Mintsong, I'm afraid your too sick to nurse Rainkit," She turned toward one of the queens, "Mapleflower, will you nurse Rainkit?" Mapleflower nodded and took Rainkit. Rainkit mewled in despair, as she reliezed that she was being taken away from her mother. Flamekit trodded toward Rainkit and Mapleflower, "Mother, what is she doing here?" He sat with a thud. "Hush, Flamekit," Mapleflower meowed. Goldenclaw licked Mintsong's ear and left. (I'm horrible at endings) (The end!!!!!!) Goldie the Queen!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like a boss Written by ~Rainheart~~

Scarstar's End~ How I see it
Scarstar paced around the camp, her green eyes narrowed harshly. Berrywatcher had once again forbidden her from leaving the camp, but this time, she had just lost one of her lives to the deadly Greencough. No one had seen it coming, and no one had suspected the old leader of having it until she had collapsed in the middle of camp, coughing and sneezing. She stopped and looked up at the night sky, thinking, Only three lives left...she thought miserably. The era of peace between the clans had not been peaceful for her. Now that Russetfall was Russetstar, things had seemed pretty well.
"Scarstar, time for your medicine." Berrywatcher called from the medicine den, and the old leader growled and trudged over.
"I don't need medicine Berrywatcher, we have been over this. Save it for the younger cats, not me." She snarled, but sat down and wrapped her tail around her paws.
"Scarstar, I hate to remind you, but your not a young warrior. You're an elder who is the leader of Windclan, you have to take care of yourself." Berrywatcher meowed as he set a thing of herbs at her paws.
"I'm just fine." Scarstar muttered, but took the medicine anyways. With a grunt and snort, she got to her paws and vanished outside, only to jump up to her den in the Tallrock. With her age, and her recent bout of Greencough, Berrywatcher had told her to sleep in her den as the days got colder. She listened, only because her old bones were not taking to the temperature changes very well. With a sigh, she curled up on her nest and fell asleep.
Scarstar dreamed of her clan, healthy and well, and of her mate, Hawkfur. The old she-cat missed the tom much, he had died as a young warrior, before they got the chance to have kits. Scarstar, then Scarfur, had never found another tom, and she was just fine with that. In her dreams, she pictured her and Hawkfur happy together, watching three kits grow up to be strong warriors.
Her dream turned to a nightmare when a badger stalked into the camp. The old leader howled the alarm, and the first one to attack with a she-cat that looked like a younger version of her. Eyes wide in horror, the badger took the young she-cat down and killed her easily before the rest of the clan could get to her aid. The invasion of time is a painful memory when old scars are reopened and remembered. The light of the completed moon will guide you to where you must go. Came the familiar voice of her father, and she looked around frantically for the dead tom.
"Father! Father!" She cried, only to have herself jerk and awaken from her slumber to a startled Berrywatcher and Dustswirl.
"Oh Great Starclan! You finally woke up!" Dustswirl cried in joy.
Scarstar blinked in confusion, staring at the young tunneler, "What?"
"Scarstar, you've been asleep for a quarter moon..." Berrywatcher meowed before shooing Dustswirl out to tell the clan.
"A quarter moon? That can't be right..." She meowed, starting to get to her paws, but her legs gave out on her and she collapsed onto her side.
"Scarstar, I hate to inform you, but while you were out...you lost two lives..." Berrywatcher meowed softly, eyeing the den entrance.
Scarstar's eyes widened in horror and she forced her slow body to her paws. She could feel the lack of use in her bones now. "That, that can't be!"
Berrywatcher nodded, "I saw it myself, Scarstar. Probably from age."
Scarstar shook her head, "One life left, just one..." She meowed.
This time Berrywatcher frowned, "Only one? Are you sure about that?"
Scarstar nodded, "I am, and I got a prophecy from my father about my last one."
"Which is?" Berrywatcher asked.
"The invasion of time is a painful memory when old scars are reopened and remembered. The light of the completed moon will guide you to where you must go." Scarstar meowed sadly, thinking about her dream.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A few moonhighs later and the gathering came. Scarstar lead her clan to it despite many arguments against it. She jumped up onto the Great Rock, wincing when her old bones crackled as she moved.
"Are you alright?" Northstar asked, frowning at the older leader.
"You don't look so good Scarstar." Russetstar pointed out.
Scarstar turned to the other leaders and held her head high, "I'm just fine, never better." The old she-cat retorted.
"Scarstar, I think you need to go back to Windclan, you look like you're about to keel over." Lightningstar snorted.
"I think Lightningstar is right..." Rain meowed softly.
"We told you to stay home." Leafclaw meowed from his position with the other deputies.
Scarstar looked out at her clan, who all looked worriedly at her as she sat on the Great Rock. "It is my duty to be here tonight, and so I am here." She meowed stubbornly, Though after tonight I fear, I will not be.
The gathering went on as normal, and in the end Scarstar lead her clanmates back home. Scarstar jumped up on the Tallrock, and waited patiently. In the distance, she could see a looming figure coming closer, and she knew instantly what it was. As the creature got closer, the leader howled a warning to her clanmates.
"Badger! Dustswirl and Rabbitdash! Lead it away from camp and escape by the tunnels! Sparrowwing, Fallowmeadow, Dewpaw, and Flashfoot, come with me!" She howled, jumping down from the Tallrock.
All the cats gathered and the two tunnelers took off. Shortly after them, Scarstar lead her patrol after, taking the lead with her eyes narrowed.
She watched as the badger chased the two tunnelers, but both of them dived into tunnels and got away free. Flashfoot darted ahead and jumped on the badger's back while Sparrowwing and Dewpaw took the left. Fallowmeadow and Scarstar took the right. They circled the beast, but it was much bigger than the badgers they normally dealt with. Flashfoot was thrown off and Sparrowwing to his place, and the others darted in and out, slashing and biting.
The badger twisted around and swung a huge paw at Dewpaw, and the apprentice froze in fear. Scarstar hissed and darted forward, throwing Dewpaw out of the way of the giant beast's paw. Instead of the young apprentice, Scarstar took the blow, being thrown several tail-lengths away from the group.
“Scarstar!” Fallowmeadow cried out in alarm, watching the old leader land in a heap. Rabbitdash darted out of his tunnel to check the old leader while the warriors took on the badger. Dustswirl took Scarstar’s place in the battle, and after several heartbeats, the badger ran with it’s tail between it’s legs.
Rabbitdash nosed at Scarstar’s fur, blood seeping from many of the wounds and opened scars on her body, one of which was the one around her throat.
“I’ll get Berrywatcher and Leafclaw!” Flashfoot said quickly and ran back towards the camp.
“I-It’s to late.” Scarstar coughed out, her green eyes open and watching her clanmates as she lifted her head up weakly.
Dewpaw had her head hung, shuffling her paws in front of her, "I-I'm sorry Scarstar! I-I panicked when I saw it...it was so big!" She squeaked.
Scarstar's tail twitched and moved so it covered Dewpaw's muzzle, "Shush little apprentice, I will not allow you to suffer the pain that I did. Long ago, when I was younger than you, my name and my life were changed by a badger," the old she-cat laughed happily, "How ironic that it would be a badger to take my last life!" Her happy laughter ended in a bloody cough.
"Y-You're last life?!" The warriors and tunnelers exclaimed in shock.
Scarstar nodded weakly, her tail falling limply beside her, "That is it, and this is where I say my goodbye. It is time I return to my family and my mate, they have been waiting many moons for me to join them, many more than I would have wished." She laid her head down just as she watched Flashfoot returning with a frantic Berrywatcher and a horrified Leafclaw behind him.
"Scarstar!" Leafclaw yowled as he picked up speed to come to a stop near Scarstar's head.
"Great Starclan no!" Berrywatcher skidded and almost hit Sparrowwing if the warrior hadn't of moved quickly.
Scarstar smiled weakly, "It's my time to go Leafclaw, Berrywatcher. Take good care of the clan that we love. Leafclaw, I entrust you with the leadership of the clan, you will make a great leader." She purred softly, and her green eyes closed forever.
Leafclaw bowed his head and the others followed. "Return to camp. Sparrowwing, help Berrywatcher and I get her body back to camp." He meowed.
The other cats trudged back to camp sadly to report that the old leader had passed away, silence followed them as a light rain started to fall onto the moorland.
Berrywatcher looked up at the sky, his leafy green eyes sad, "Even Starclan cries on this day." He said, when a mist started to surround them. He blinked and looked around, frowning, "Hey Sparrowwing, Leafclaw, do you see something?"
Leafclaw blinked and nodded, "This mist, it came from nowhere."
Sparrowwing frowned, "I'm confused, I don't see anything."
From the mist came a starry figure above the dead she-cat's body. Standing there, her head held high and proud, was what appeared to be a young warrior version of Scarstar. There were no scars on her body, and her long tail was curled around that of a mottled brown tom's tail. Three little kits played around their legs, and the young she-cat warrior purred softly. The life she wished she had, but that never got to happen. Time seemed to pass before their eyes, and suddenly the she-cat was the same age as Scarstar had been when she had been made a leader. The tom was gone, but the three kits slowly grew up beside her. If it hadn't been for those scars, my life would have been so much different. My name would have never changed, and Hawkfur would still be alive and by my side. We would have had a chance at kits, and though my mate would have still died young, I would have had my kits to keep me company. I would not have been made leader, and I would have died in the elder's den, though even I don't know how. Take life seriously, but don't let it pass you by like I did.The old leader's voice echoed before the mist lifted, and the starry figures were gone.
Berrywatcher and Leafclaw looked at each other, then smiled and purred.
Sparrowwing looked lost and confused next to them, he had not seen what had just passed.
Gently the three cats picked up the limp form of their fallen leader and started back to camp, a light rain still falling around them.
A Strike Against Love
Introduction~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~ Badgerstrike never thought about life in that sort of way. In a way with a friend. Or more than that. To him, Nightfur was his best friend. Nothing more, well, not for long anyway. Ever since the day he fell out of the tree and almost died, he thought about her differently. She was there for him for sure, when his sister died and when his mother was killed. She was... perfect. Badgerstrike couldn't think of anyone more special. One to be there for him and to care for him, life was good. He had his other best friend, Lightningpelt, a loner in disguise. He had found the clan early on, as a kit, and couldn't remember much of his past. With Badgerstrike and Nightfur, he blended in well, his white fur in contrast to Nightfur's, and Badgerstrike in between with tan. Prey was plenty full, and piles of endless food were delicious and pleasant. How could anything go wrong in a perfect world? Everything.
~~~~~~~~~~~~ Madly in love though Badgerstrike nad Nightfur were, there was something... missing, in Nightfur's life. She acted odd, and stopped eating. Badgerstrike couldn't figure out why, until he found out that Nightfur was supposed to have kits. But not his.
Nightfur was secretly with Lightningpelt every night. She loved him now. Not Badgerstrike. In rage, Badgerstrike turned into a frenzy, even killing an elder and some kits to prove it.
But he wanted revenge. Lightningpelt stole his mate- fine. But now he would take a life from Lightningpelt.
When Nightfur's kit's were just born, He saw his chance, and killed one of them. Devestated, Nightfur had no choice but to take action. On a night of rain, she killed him. Out of grief, she herself died, and Badgerstrike has been in his rage every since. Written by ♫ cнσѕєи тσ ∂ιє ♫

Rain: Nine Lives
Rain led the way through the dark tunnel, hearing the pawsteps of Dawnpaw, Fogstorm, and Blazepelt behind her. It was comforting to have them, but she knew the final part of their journey she would be alone.
They reached Moonstone just as the mon aligned itself overhead and the cavern was lit up by the brillant light
Rain flicked her tail for the others to sit. She tentatively reached out and touched Moonstone with her nose. Darkness rolled over her.
When she awoke, Rain was by the river she lived at as a loner. She glanced around, seeing no Starclan cats. Had she been lied to? Was she unfit to lead? "Hello Rain," A Starclan cat greeted, coming from the reeds. Rain stared, trying to place who he was. "You never met me. I am Ripplepond."
"The deputy before?"
He nodded. "I am here to give your first life."
Rain nodded, nervous. "Wait, what of Stonestar?"
"Stonestar is in a new place. One where Starclan cannot see. He has not died yet, otherwise he would join our ranks." Ripplepond explained, stepping forward. "Are you ready?"
"Yes," Rain dipped her head in response.
"With this life, I give you loyalty, to your clan, to the code, to Starclan, and to yourself. Use it well, especially with a certain warrior," he touched her nose as he spoke, and a sharp pain fell over Rain. She dug her claws into the dirt to stay up as waves of ferocious loyalty washed over her.
When it was over, Ripplepond was still there. "Thank you," she whispered as he retreated to the river. He sat and waited for the next cat. A slim silver she-cat stepped up beside Ripplepond, "Greetings Rain." the she-cat purred softly, "I am Streampool, Fogstorm's, Springlily's, and Poolfrost's mother." She pressed against Ripplepond, "As well as Ripplepond's mate." She stepped up to Rain, "You will be a great leader, Rain, don't let anyone tell you otherwise." After a moment's pause Streampool went on, "With this life I give you the desire to protect your clan like a mother protects her kits." Streampool pressed her nose to Rain's.
Rain braced herself for the life this time, and wasn't surprised when she felt painful protective love fill her body. She was too shaky to say anything more than thank you to Streampool. Another cat bounded up to Rain. Her fur was dappled and she had kind eyes. "Spottedstar?" Rain guessed.
The she-cat nodded. "Former leader of Riverclan. I know you will find the strength to lead this clan past these dark times. But you will be pushed harder than ever before. So, with this life, I give you the strength to protect your clan and to defeat the evil that surrounds us," Spottedstar touched her nose, and a energizing feeling swept through Rain.
A small brown tom with weary yellow eyes watched Rain for a long time before he started to step up, "My name is Creekpaw." he mewed slowly, "I was lost while I was an apprentice, I am Streampool's brother, and Blackadder's first victim."
Rain glanced at him, pity filling her. "I'm so sorry."
Creekpaw stepped up to Rain, "With this life I give you justice, so that the wicked may fall with their actions." he pressed his nose to Rain's.
Rain bent to meet Creekpaw and almost backed away. It felt like she was being torn apart, split between her brain and her heart. When she opened her eyes, she dipped her head to Creekpaw. "I will make sure no apprentice dies like you," she promised.
Creekpaw's eyes grew dim, "The dead will have their revenge." he muttered before he stepped back.
Next a slim silvery blue she-cat stepped forward her blue eyes were bright, "Greetings Rain," She mewed, "I am Mistylight, former warrior of RiverClan." She didn't waste any time, "With this life I give you sincerity, so that you may be true to your clan in all the choices that you make."
Rain was taken aback from the she-cats quick and cheery attitude. "Oh, ok," she touched her nose. This life was gentler, because Rain knew she would always remain true to Riverclan. "Thank you Mistylight."
Mistylight nodded before stepping back.
Honeypelt padded up to the she-cat she once loathed."With this life I give you endless energy.Use this life to lead your clan many moons to come..."
Rain felt her paws tingle as the life flowed into her. She could run all the way back to Roverclan in one bound!
Honeypelt took a step back and murmured "I apologize for apposing you being leader.Please forgive me..."
"Thank you for accepting me in the end," Rain dipped her head.
A silver black tom stepped forward his eyes set as he looked at the she-cat in front of him,"Welcome Rain. Im here to give you your seventh life,"he mewed and flicked his ear. He leaned forward touching Rain,"I give you the life of heart. Let your heart lead you to make the right decisions,"he whispered. Remembering Hiddenface and his kits, the love for them surged through his to Rain, even though it was against the code his heart told him it was right.
Rain remembered Rushfeather from before and watched him sadly. She felt all the love for his mate and kits and her sadness was multiplied. "I'm so sorry Rushfeather," she meowed quietly when the he was done.
Rushfeather shrugged,"The dead shall have there revenge,"he mewed softly before padding back to the others.
A tom appeared, black as the darkest night, and surrounded by swirling shadows. He silently padded to Rain. It seemed as if he didn't belong with the others.
"Who are you?" Rain asked, stepping back.
"I am Asrael.", the huge tom meowed in a creepy whisper, "I was a rogue like you, but I always believed in those who live among the stars. And so I am here to give you your eighth life." He came closer. "I give you the life of faith, so that your beliefs never waver, no matter how dark the times may be." The power of his faith surged through him to Rain.
Rain was going to protest, but she was taken by their similarities. She felt his unwavering faith and it did not hurt. Instead, she knew she would never change. Her name would stay. "Thank you," Rain said, a hardened glint in her eyes.
Asrael looked at her and nodded, before fading into the shadows.
Quietcreek walked up to the she-cat, his coat shining from the moon. "I have watched your path closely, Rain. You have a difficult road ahead, but a long and happy one." He purred, kneading the ground with his paws in excitement. "I give you your ninth and final life. With it, I give intelligence, from all your Starclan ancestors, to see what others cannot and learn from what others don't. Use it well to teach your clan, but never stop learning," he touched her nose, and Rain gasped.
It wasn't like any of the lives before; she had no feeling from it. A wealth of information came to her, from the best herb for sore throats to how best to plan an attack. "Use it well," Quietcreek advised, retreating to the other cats.
As Rain recovered, she felt dread. This is what she had been most nervous about.
Spottedstar stood up, and gazed squarely at Rain. "You have proven your loyalty to Riverclan more times than needed. Let every clan see that name doesn't matter. It is the cat who determines their loyalty. I confirm and hail you by your name, Rain. You have received your nine lives and have taken over guardianship of Riverclan. Defend and protect it well. Live each life with pride and dignity Rain, leader of Riverclan."
"Rain!" The cats cheered, their voices echoing in her head. She suddenly realized she was awake, still laying down. She stood up and glanced at those who had come with her.
"Let's go home," she meowed, finally knowing in her heart that she was Rain, leader of Riverclan. Written by Dawn

Minnowleap's Sweet Revenge
It was leaf-bare. The sun was going down, the winds were settling, and a starry blanket covered the sky. Perfect. The bluish-grayish tom padded slowly to the warrior den, licking his lips as if the blood of the she-cat had already flooded into his mouth. He peeked his head inside, and mewed silently, "Shadowjaw, i need you."
The she-cat named Shadowjaw jumped up and almost hit her head against the roof of the den. "What? Can't you see i was sleeping?" The black she-cat growled, her brown eyes narrowing as she flexed her claws.
"Can you come hunting with me?" Minnowleap asked, hiding his eagerness from showing.
Shadowjaw just nodded grimly, and padded out of the den, standing beside Minnowleap. The two ran out through the entrance, dipping their heads quickly to the leader on the way.Minnowleap was running harder than ever, Shadowjaw way behind. She growled, and caught up to the tom. It was getting late, and they were far, so far they couldn't even smell the scent of ShadowClan, just barely. Shadowjaw sprinted ahead, and halted in front of Minnowleap. "Okay! Why are we here? Can't we just stop here and hunt? Geez... my paws are killing me!"
Minnowleap just cackled to himself, and replied, "Go over there and see if there's any mice."
Shadowjaw snarled, and ran off to a small bush, crouching and searching for prey. Now! Minnowleap yowled in sudden rage, and leaped onto Shadowjaw. Shadowjaw screeched in shock, and spat, "What are you doing?! This is no time to be play fighting!"
Minnowleap just smirked, and whacked Shadowjaw's muzzle. The she-cat howled in pain, and head-butted into his head. The tom gasped, and fell over, moaning in dizziness and pain. Shadowjaw hissed, as she slashed at Minnowleap's back leg. He dodged in time, as the she-cat fell to the ground, and struggled to get back up. "Not so fast!" Minnowleap screeched, and rammed into her legs, forcing her back down.
He then leaped onto her, but the she-cat slashed at Minnowleap's neck, and the tom thudded onto the ground. Shadowjaw smirked, thinking the tom was dead. She then walked to him, and stood over him, ready to kill him. Suddenly, Minnowleap lodged his claws into her throat, and Shadowjaw gagged, falling onto the ground. She started flailing, gasping for air as Minnowleap stood over her, smirking. "Why, Minnowleap?" She managed to cough.
"You killed my parents, so you deserve to die." He then took his paw out of the she-cat's throat, and she went limp... Written by ⒾcєⒸнєѕт

DAWN'S STORM
Okay, this is my story about Dawnspirit and Stormcloud as kits, and they're separation, and the struggle to fit into their new homes. The main story is in Stormcloud's prospective. Enjoy.
As Dawns light filtered through the trees, I awoke and stretched careful not to wake my small litter mate Dawn. The early mourning light played on her tan and white tortoiseshell pelt as the wind breathed on the maple leaves above. I smiled at the innocent trusting figure of my sister, the only true flower in the harsh world. I did my best to protect her innocence, as mine was lost long ago.
My sister was a sickly kit, and was asleep most of her first two moons. In that time, while she was blissfully unaware of all, I grew up faster than most kits. My mother, Sparrow, doted on Dawn, spending most of her time making sure my sister was comfortable and well, meanwhile I was stuck with my father, Pine. Pine was a huge, black and dark brown tabby with dark green eyes. He was strict, to say the least. I started learning how to fight almost as soon as I could stand. I needed to be able to protect those closest to me, and myself. He worked me until I couldn't stand any longer, and then woke me early the next day to start again. I caught my first prey, an old squirrel with a limp, a half a moon after opening my eyes. When I wasn't being driven on by my father I was sleeping, or helping to care for my sister. Although this was hard, it didn't teach me what I was about to learn. At my first moon my father and I went out hunting, leaving Sparrow and Dawn in our den...
I padded swiftly along with Pine trying to keep up with his rapid pace. We were going to my fathers favorite hunting place, a small clearing by a burbling brook. The clearing was generally filled with prey, but today it was strangely empty. My father caught a Wood Thrush at the fringe of the clearing, and buried it beneath one of the last few trees before they released their grip on the clearing. A strange scent hung in the air, but I didn't mention it, for fear my father would punish me for not knowing what the scent belonged to. A few steps into the clearing, and my father stopped short, his body rigid. Then he growled, “Dusk, Now's the time to show me what you know and prove that you are worthy of being my son.” The trees separated as a huge striped head poked through the foliage, then the rest of the huge beast came in, there was only one animal it could have been. A badger. I leaped at it alongside my father, but its paws caught me and sent me sprawling. I was knocked against an old tree, hard and one of its branches fell, trapping me. I was forced to watch as the badger ripped apart my father. Pine fought valiantly, but he was not match to the badgers vicious teeth and sharp claws. The badger lumbered off, leaving my father carcass behind. I began to thrash madly about, trying to get myself free, when another scent hit my scent glands. I fell still as a thin fox wandered in, lured by the scent of fresh blood. It began to eat. I closed my eyes and held still, disgusted by the sight. Soon, night came, and the fox wandered off content. A short while later, I was able to free myself, and hobble home, not stopping to grab the thrush. I collapsed inside our den, with Sparrows worried questions still ringing in my ears.
I sighed, trying to dispel the dark thoughts from my mind, and wandered over to a puddle full of rain water. Even at my young age of five moons, I was large and strong. I had a black, gray and white tortoiseshell pelt and stormy blue eyes. I turned at the sound of Sparrow, coming into my sleeping place with a pair of mice in her jaw. I glanced at the food hungerly, but knew that I had to hunt for myself. The mice were only for Dawn and Sparrow. I dipped my head to my mother formally, and left to go on a hunt. My mother was mad at me, and had barely talked to me since I returned two moons ago without my father. She felt that it was my fault my father had been lost. She called me a coward and decided if I wanted to eat, I would have to get it myself. So I did. As much as my mother hated me, and as much I resented her, I knew that I was still to young to leave her protection. No matter how skilled I was at protecting myself, I was just to small to put up with the tough world out there. Besides, then I would have to leave Dawn.
I returned to our den with a squirrel and a bluebird, which I added to the meager breakfast pile. I ate the squirrel while Dawn ate the bluebird and a mouse. I smiled as I watched Sparrow force Dawn to eat both of the pieces of prey. The only troubles Dawn ever had was having a stomachache from eating too much. Then I stood, “We should get a move on, there is a moor land not far from here, that's where I prefer to hunt, so if we stay there for a while we should be fine.”
Dawn smiled, she was excited to go to the moorland I had told her so much about as she was asleep when the family first visited there. I was hoping we could live there for a while, out of the dark forests which hid so many dangers. Ever since my father died, each peaceful clearing and glade, babbling brook, and shadowed meadow seemed to hide untold dangers. I hated how cramped the forests felt, and longed for the open moorland. I hadn't been in a moorland, that I can remember. But at night I had the most vivid dreams, of where they were and what they were like. I hunted the rabbits at night. I knew what I had to do, where I had to go. I knew that was where I wanted to be.
We began to walk, each step taking us a bit closer to our destination. I laughed and joked with Dawn as we walked, enjoying the beauty of her smile, and the sparkle of her eyes. Sparrow walked ahead, leading us onwards.
“Dusk, what is the moorland like again?” Dawn asked, looking up at me.
I hesitated before answering, “Well, there's no trees, its just a large open expanse with sage brush, and small bushes and plants. There are lots of rabbits, but you have to be fast to catch them. The sunrise looks amazing on the moor land because you can see where it begins. The trees don't block your view. The moorlands seem to go on forever, you feel so free when you run in them, with the wind blowing your fur...”
Dawn smiled broadly, “and we're going there to live until we are bigger right? We can watch the sun set and the wind blow the plants together?”
Her sweet innocence made me smile with her, “Yes, yes we'll be together on the moorland.” Then we lapsed into silence as we all thought our own thoughts. I could almost feel Sparrows anger shooting at me. She hated it when I 'contaminated' Dawn by talking to her, but it wouldn't stop me.
A couple of days later we reached the moorland. I dug out a den for us in the dirt, before going hunting. The moorland was everything I remembered it being. I brought back three rabbits which we all shared before falling asleep in the nests Dawn and Sparrow had made.
I awoke the next day to scout out our new home. Dawn came with me whilst Sparrow worried about something else. The sun was shining bright that day, and its heat beat on us. Dawn was delighted to find a stream near by full of fishes, I caught a rabbit for us to share and sunhigh, and then we began to head home, happy and content with the land around. Sparrow was already in the den, munching on a rabbit when we got there, neither of us was hunger so Dawn and I fell asleep curled up next to each other, surrounded by the serene darkness of the moorland.
The next morning I awoke at dawn and began to practice my battle training. That morning my chosen target was a sage bush near by. I practiced dodging blows, and aiming by blows until the bush gave up and blew away on the wind. I shook the dirt off of me and decided to go on a hunt before the sun was all the way up and the heat became unbearable.
I returned to find an unwelcome visitors in the den a group of foxes padded around, and around the den, looking for a weakness in sparrows brave stand. A storm had begun to brew over head, and the heat that had pushed me back home vanished. I joined Sparrow in protecting the den, but soon driving rain and cracks of lightning made it impossible for me to fight.
“Get Dawn out, and go somewhere safe!” Sparrows meowed called over the turbulent storm. I was reluctant to leave, but I knew if we both went down, so would Dawn.
“I will, Dawn!” I helped Dawn out of the den, battling off any foxes, then after a blinding flash of lightning, I pushed Dawn up, and we made a break for it. As I was running, a fox attacked me . He bit into my leg, laming me. I lashed out, but soon another fox joined it. “Dawn, keep running I'll join you soon!” I called, slipping out from under the foxes and limping away, in pursuit of my sister. Suddenly, I realized that Dawn was nowhere near by. “Dawn? Dawn?” But, no reply.
I began to search desperately, but the rain had washed away any trace of my sister. I wandered for days, looking, but to no avail. My leg injury acted up, and became infected, causing me to always want for food.
In a state of craziness, I wandered, wandered, forever. Sometimes my fevered mind would see Dawn, a few steps ahead, walking away. I followed her, calling out to her. But even though she stayed at a slow walk, no mater how fast I forced my weakening body to run, she was always a step ahead, just far enough away I couldn't touch her. She never noticed me, chasing desperately behind her. One day, I was closer than ever, but just as I was about to touch her, my body failed me. I was too weak to continue on. Darkness closed around my vision, and I gave one last futile call, “Dawn? Dawn? Dawn?”
Little did I know that I had wandered strait into Windclan's camp. The medicine cat quickly remedied my weakness with her herbs. The other kits were amazed that I was so strong. I could hunt as well as any warrior, and battle off any apprentice, and even some warriors. I could face anything, except my past. When they asked my name, Dusk, reminded me of my life before, the life that was long gone. So, I named myself Storm, that I could forever remember the driving rain that ruined my life. I dream of one day meeting Dawn once more, but I don't even know if she exists. I shall continue to be the best warrior I can, so that I might be able to save anyone I get close to in the future. My name change sealed my past away forever. It only lingers now in the shadows of my mind. But I am strong. I shall continue, I can be a warrior my parents would be proud of. I am not a weakling or a coward. I am Stormcloud. The strong, the brave, the mighty.
AFTER THE SEPERATION: DAWNS STORY.
I ran, terrified from the strange beasts. I knew I would never see my mom again. I would go with Dusk, and live forever. That was the only thought that registered in my fear-frozen brain. I ran on blindly. I didn't realize until dawn, that Dusk was not at my side. I wandered around, hopelessly lost. I couldn't hunt, or fight. I realized I didn't know anything. But I did know that Dusk was gone, as was Sparrow.
I wondered have-starved into a strange loud place. A monster roared right by, almost hitting me. I was completely cowed. I crossed the thunder path, and found an old dumpster. I sniffed inside, and identified something that smelled like food. I pulled out a piece of meat, but just as I was about to eat the meat it was yanked away.
A tall, strong black and white tom grinned down at me, “Thank you.”
“Hey! That's mine!” I protested angrily
“if so, come and get it.” He taunted.
Needless, to say, I took one look at his form, and bolted.
I wondered until I found another dumpster. I saw a she-cat and padded toward her, “Hello? Can you help me. I'm lost. I need help. I don't know how to live here...”
The she-cat turned, her face covered in scars, “Do you think I did? You learn, we all do. If you aren't strong enough you die. That's the way it is. This is my place, so get or I'll make you.”
I turned and ran in a blind panic. I found a metal can, not as big as the dumpsters behind a two-leg nest. I scented food, and hurried over, I found some good meat, and was just about to eat when a strange scent washed over me. I looked up, and saw a large vicious dog some feet off. It began to bark, and I ran, scaling a wooden fence and leaping over onto the other side, right into a pool of strange tasting water.
I panicked, as I floundered in the water. It was some time, and many mouthfuls of the foul tasting water later that I scrambled to the side of the pool. The strange water stuck to my fur, and clouded my scent. After looking around carefully, I came to the conclusion that no other beasts were there. Exhausted and hungry, and found their garbage, and began to forage. I found some strange salty sticks, and tried a experimental nibble when all of a sudden, a monsters lights veered of the thunder path and came strait toward me. I raced away, not daring to stop. Soon, I found a sheltered spot, and fell asleep.
I awoke starved. I glanced around and found a large dumpster near by. In all my three moons, I had never tasted anything as good as the tiny piece of meat I found in there. But as I ate it, it filled my stomach, and I sighed. This would be hard to get used to. But I would. Life wasn't what I thought it was. It was hard, tough, evil. But I belong here. This is where I am.
Now, sometimes I wonder, what happened to Dusk. I have no doubt he is alive, if he got away from the foxes. I know he is not in the two-leg place for I know ever beast that lives here, but maybe, I have heard there are clans near by. Maybe he is there? Or a rouge wandering the world alone. My past is forever sealed away. I am strong, and confident. Snide and tricky. I am Dawnspirit, the terror of the two-leg place. Those who trust me are in for a hard surprise. The thing is, you can't trust anyone in the two-leg place. No one. Not anyone. Not me. Its a way of life Written by ~Seamist~

A Different Clan
I see the glares. I hear the savage murmurs. I see the malice in all your eyes.
Isn't it funny how something as simple as a name could make my life such torture?
Even in my clan, even among my friends, I was judged. I felt their eyes accusing me as I was named deputy.
I never asked for it, I never wanted any power. But somehow it found me, and I learned I was well suited for it. I'm not going to lie and say I never made a mistake; I'm still regretting my last. But I do not dwell on them. I have them constantly thrown in my face. The other leaders have made mistakes as well, but you don't see their clan mates doubting their every move,
As a leader, you make a lot of enemies, but your clan is always supposed to back you up. Welcome to Riverclan, home of traitors and liars. I cannot trust my own shadow anymore. Call me paranoid, but the leader before me was killed seven times by her own clan.
You think I'm being disloyal? I would die a thousand deaths for Riverclan, but that will not help our situation. Loners never trust anyone, you can't if you want to survive. Something's never change. Just like my name, I was kept my mistrust. It has saved my life many times.
Riverclan has always had a bad reputation, being home of Blackadder and now his kits. The clan of divided loyalties I suppose. But I am here to tell you the good things of Riverclan.
We have perseverance. Not many clans can keep hoping for a better time when the worse is yet to come. Every leaf bare, the river freezes and the snow falls. We have no prey without our river, yet we keep fighting to cling onto life. Heh. Riverclan is very stubborn you could say. I'm proud of it.
I'm sure the other clans have had their share of traitors. I suppose the reason Blackadder rose is because he was so clever. I'm not praising him, not after what he did, but you have to admire that cunning. The other clans believe in loyalty and all that mouse bile. Here at Riverclan, our minds are as sharp as our claws. We are always prepared, one step ahead of the others.
I can't say you'll live past the first moon. I can't say you'll come to trust your clanmates. I can't even promise you one meal a day. But what I can promise you is that Riverclan will bring you to your greatest potential. Written by Dawn

The Legend of Sunningrocks
"Gather 'round kits, apprentices, or rather, all who want to hear the legend. The old, lost legend of Sunningrocks.
See, when the clans were first formed, Thunderclan had claimed Sunningrocks as their territory. Riverstar, the first leader of Riverclan, shrugged that fact off, feeling that it made no difference whether Thunderclan got those rocks or not. About three moons later, an outbreak of cold washed through the five clans. Riverclan, Skyclan, Windclan, and Shadowclan were all struck by the disease, but Thunderclan remained strong. At that gathering, Riverstar stood and looked right at Thunderstar, and began to speak. "As you all know, there is a bout of cold running rampant through the clans. I'm confused though, about how Thunderclan remains healthy. Care to explain, Thunderstar?" Riverstar asked. Thunderstar chuckled a bit, before smiling. "The Elders are telling me that the Sunningrocks might have healing abilities. Though it might not be true, everyday my clan plays or shares tongues on sunningrocks, and we remain healthy." He replied. Skystar stepped forth, looking confused. "Do you mean to say that Starclan has blessed those rocks with healing powers? I dont believe it! Only the moonstone is truly blessed by them!" He argued. Shadowstar nodded, raising her head. "I agree with Skystar. I dont see why Starclan would bless a clump of rocks randomly, without a true purpose." She added. Riverstar looked at Windstar. "You havent said anything yet. What say you on this topic, Windstar?" She asked. Windstar shook his head, clicking his tongue. "I dont believe this nonsense. Starclan would onyl bless something that would benefit all of the clans. Just giving this to Thunderclan makes no sense." He replied. Nearly all of Thunderclan yowled in protest, before Thunderstar rose a paw to silence them. Riverstar flicked her tail, and raised her head proudly. "I'd like to take back Sunningrocks that I generously gave to Thunderclan. I must have not been paying attention to how it might help my clan. Just give me Sunningrocks and we wont have any trouble." She meowed. "As kindly as you said that, Riverstar, I refuse to return Sunningrocks into your paws. You gave that territory to Thunderclan, and it shall remain Thunderclan territory." Thunderstar countered. Riverstar looked up at the sky, to see no clouds covering the moon. She hissed in irritation. "I call this gathering to an end. Agreed?" She asked. "Agreed." Every leader chimed. Riverstar narrowed her eyes at Thunderstar. "Dont think this is over." She hissed "Oh believe me, I don't." Thunderstar replied. "Will you quit your mousebrained squabbling? Those rocks are as much blessed as a lump of fox-dung." Skystar added, before leading Skyclan away. In time, every leader led their own clan away.
This is the part you have to hear. One night, when the moon was covered by dark clouds, Riverstar led a patrol through the river and onto Sunningrocks. Her patrol immediately marked Sunningrocks as Riverclan territory, but there was one problem. An apprentice had been out for a night stroll, and she saw the Riverclan patrol. She alerted Thunderstar, and he immediately called his warriors to his side to fend off Riverclan. In near-silence, Thunderclan raced towards the Sunningrocks. Riverclan was prepared for a battle, and as soon as Thunderclan arrived, a long battle commenced. Blood shed and dripped into the river, bodies were thrown, and yowls tore into the night sky.
And that, is how the everlasting battle for Sunningrocks began." Written by Frozendawn

The Legend of the Sun and Moon
Long ago, back when the clans had just begun, two kits were born in Riverclan. One, the tom, was named Flamekit, after his fiery orange pelt. The other, the she-cat, was named Snowkit, after her soft, silvery pelt. The two grew up very close to each other. All was peaceful in Riverclan, until the current leader, Cragstar, died of greencough. The deputy, Quickstrike, lived only a day longer before succumbing as well. The clan was left leaderless and vulnerable. A great dispute rose up over who should be leader. Flamekit, now named Flamefoot, took one side and Snowkit, now Snowfur, took the other. A rift in the clan formed over which of the siblings should become leader. Hateful thoughts changed to words, and words led to actions. Soon, the clan was at war with itself. Much blood was shed during that moon, and the skirmishes escalated. One day, a terrible fight broke out. Many, many cats on both sides died at the paws of their clanmates. Some cats claimed the clan was influenced by the Dark Forest, made hasty and foolish through the whispered words from the evil cats in their dreams. Finally, Starclan intervened. A massive clap of thunder shook all the territories of the clans. Starclan told them "If you cannot resolve this conflict by the next gathering, then you will never feel the warmth of the sun or the light of the moon again!" With that, Starclan took the moon and sun from the sky. Night, darker than any other, fell over the clans, and a great cold swept over the land. The four other clans were horrified by what Riverclan had done, and threatened to drive them from the forest if they didn't do something. At their urging, Flamefoot and Snowfur agreed to travel to the Moonstone and make a deal. They met with Starclan that night, and agreed that if Starclan would return the sun and moon to the sky, then they would give up their lives in the clans to exist up in the sky, where they could watch over their beloved clan from above. Both cats were horrified by what had happened, and were willing to do anything to stop the bloodshed. Starclan agreed to their deal. Flamefoot became the bright and powerful sun, and Snowfur became the glowing, radiant moon. Then, Starclan put the sun and moon back in the sky, and ever since then, Flamefoot and Snowfur have watched over the clans. A new leader was quickly chosen for Riverclan, and things returned to normal. However, sometimes Flamefoot and Snowfur will become angry with eachother, and have a battle in the sky. If Flamefoot began to win, then the bright, full moon was stained red with Snowfur's blood. If Snowfur began to overpower her brother, a great black disc covered the sun. Always, Starclan stepped in and stopped it. The red would fade from the moon, and the black disc would retreat from the sun. And that is the story of the Sun and Moon. Some variations of the story claim it was a great battle between the clans, and that Snowfur and Flamefoot were halfclan cats, but the storyline usually stays about the same. No matter which point of view this story is told from, it teaches us all an important lesson: Loyalty is of the upmost importance. Don't let your mind get clouded by empty promises of power from wicked shadows. Written by Moss_Claw

Sparrowflight
I hold secrets.
I laugh and I play, and no one can see me cry.
It's better this way.
A brown tabby she-cat stares back at me, disappearing into a thousand ripples by a splash in the puddle by a black paw. I tilt my head up to the clear blue sky, but the rushing fluffy clouds and cool wind promise storms later.
Getting to my paws, I plod back to camp, not at all happy with the thought. The recent memories of clamoring kits, angry loners, and forbidden love that came too close to you turn me back towards the marsh I love. I don't look into any more puddles.
I've watched you cry. love. laugh.
You court danger. involved innocents. you call this ok?
Yes, I have found a leader father friend
But I'm still so lost. lonely. afraid.
People ask me, are you ok? why do you look so lost?
I don't know.
I seem to have lost my answers.
Yes, I have a reason to cry. I barely believe in StarClan anymore, not after what they've done.
They've taken my mother, my two best friends, and half of my soul.
They made me watch Him fall in love with Her. She was a medicene cat, loyal to her clan, not the prettiest or wittiest cat. I'll admit, I had a crush on him... but so did many cats, so I contented myself with being his best friend.
They became mates.
I didn't dare show him I cried that night.
Now, he's dead. Killed by a common rouge. He never deserved this.
Neither did I.
The death makes me think of another friend, a closer one I could always count on to make me life and see me as not just Sparrowpaw... but as an equal.
The week before he left with Stonestar, the old RiverClan leader, Toadfoot and I were messing around with purple flowers. We got into so much trouble! He ended up with an overdose of poppy and had to stay in the medicene cat den for 3 days for stomach pain and general uneasiness. He wasn't even mad that I was the one who'd dared him to do that.
One day, I'd sprained my paw in a battle for Sunningrocks against ThunderClan. I had the hiccups, and we made up a cure involving mouse bites and daisies. It did work, but I remember most the way his blue eyes danced with laughter and how it was like we were the only cats in the camp, giggling and teasing as if we had been born at the same time, instead of 5 moons apart.
But then he left.
He'd gone with Stonestar to the mountains and never returned.
I miss him... I miss them both. So very, very much.
But there's nothing I can do but plod on. I'll keep my chin up and eyes dry, at least when I'm not alone.
And every night I'll talk to them from where I am.
"Toadfoot, do you think that they really watch us from down here?" The question is serious, and somber amber eyes study the distant points of light that pass for stars.
"Definitly, Sparrowpaw. How else would they know that you put that ant in Brownpaw's nest?" The black-and-white tom smiles mischeviously.
"That wasn't me and you know it!" A giggle rings the stament false.
A brown tabby she-cat and a large white tom walk side by side during dusk, fur brushing slightly. "Sparrowflight, do you that that StarClan is mad at me for taking Reedflight as a mate?"
The tabby shakes her head. "I am not one to presume to even guess what they think. But if you are happy... then they should have to deal with it."
He shakes his head, but a smile plays along his lips.
So, StarClan. Make me believe. Show me happy endings - even better, give me one.
I'm tired of being sad.
I'm tired of crying.
One of these days it'll end.
But make me die happy.
It's really all I have left. Written by Nightsinger

Walking My Path Alone
Dapple sat in Starclan, watching her kits below in Shadowclan. Snakestripe and Archclaw were hunting together, and Flowerpaw was sorting herbs in the medicine cats den. She turned around as she heard a cat approaching her. Thornwind padded up to her. "Dapple, I know you are in Starclan, but how come you have a rouge name instead of a clan name?" He mewed to her. Dapple flicked her tail and looked back down at her kits. "It's a long story. It's about my dad and my mother." She mewed softly. Thornwind sat down. "Than let's hear it." He mewed, sitting down next to her. Dapple took a deep breath. "Okay than. Let's begin than. I guess I might as well start at the beginning of it all..." ======================================================================= Dapplekit blinked her eyes open. She saw her mother looking down at her. She purred and nuzzled her. Dapplekit let out a little squeak and rolled over. She looked over at her brother, Flamekit. Flamekit was still asleep, so she nudged him. "Wake up!" She mewed, nudging him. Flamekit looked up and let out a small sigh. He gave his bright ginger pelt a lick and stood up shakily. Dapplekit jumped up and bounced around the nursery. "Can we go out?" She mewed, blinking her large green eyes at her mom. Flowerheart purred. "Later." She mewed. Firekit let out a little cough and fell back asleep. ======================================================================= Dapplekit blinked awake. It had been nearly a moon and it was leaf-bare now. Firekit laid next to her, his skinny frame prominent against his pelt. He had been sick as of late, but the medicine cat had insisted nothing was wrong with him. Dapplekit nudged him. "Firekit! Wake up, it snowed last night!" She squeaked happily. Firekit didn't move, he just laid there. She nudged him again. "Firekit." She whined. He didn't move. She took a deep breath. "FIREKIIIIIIIIIIIIT!" She yowled. Flowerheart yawned and stretched. Rabbitkit, who was Dapplekit's good friend, was there too. He woke up and sneezed, than looked at Dapplekit. "What was that for?" He mewed, yawning and stretching. Dapplekit pouted. "Firekit won't wake up and I'm bored." She huffed. Flowerheart blinked at Dapplekit, her eyes wide with alarm. "What do you mean he won't wake up?" She mewed with alarm. Dapplekit shrugged. "He's still asleep. And I've nudged and yelled in his ear, like, a million times." She mumbled, wondering why her mom was freaking out. Dapple shook her head and nudged Firekit. "Wake up little one." She purred, nuzzling him. He was unresponsive. "Firekit." She mewed, a note of panic in her voice. Nightflower, Foxkit, Rabbitkit, and Darkkit's mother, also Flowerheart's sister leaped out of her nest. "I'll get Leafdance!" She mewed sharply. Dapplekit just looked around, wondering what was going on. Foxkit giggled under his breath and Rabbitkit nudged him sharply. "Stop it." He growled to him. Foxkit huffed. "You're no fun at all." He pouted, and sat in a corner of the nursery. Flowerheart was still licking Firekit frantically. Nightflower was soon back with Leafdance. Leafdance nudged Flowerheart away from Firekit and placed a paw on Firekit's chest. She looked up at Flowerheart. "I'm sorry Flowerheart." Leafdance mewed softly. Flowerheart let out a low moan and slumped to the ground. Nightflower pressed against her sister comfortingly. Leafdance picked up Firekit's body and went to pad out of the nursery. "You said he was fine. He would be alright in the morning." Flowerheart rasped. She looked at Leafdance. "And you call yourself a medicine cat?" She growled. Leafdance bowed her head and padded out. ======================================================================= Dapplekit was in the nursery. She couldn't sleep. Her apprentice ceremony was tomorrow! Rabbitpaw, Foxpaw, and Darkpaw were all already apprentices. She smiled and closed her eyes, trying to fall asleep. She sighed and looked around. She heard a scratching noise from the wall of the nursery and turned around sharply, her fur bristling. A dark ginger head poked through and before she knew it the cat had tackled her and placed a paw over her muzzle so she couldn't cry for help. "Don't talk, don't move." He whispered. He nodded to Flowerheart. "Is that your mom? Nod or shake your head." He commanded. She nodded. He grinned. "So it is true!" He mewed. He looked at her. "I'm going to lift my paw away from your mouth. Do not cry out if you value your life." He growled. Dapplekit nodded and she was released. He grabbed her by the scruff and dragged her away out into the forest. ======================================================================= She was finally released at a place she didn't know. The floor was stone, and there were stone twoleg nests all around her. There strange noises and smells all around her. "Wh-where am I?" She mewed softly. The ginger cat grinned. "Home." He mewed. She blinked. "Who are you?" She mewed. He blinked at her. "I'm your father." He mewed. Dapplekit felt like she had been drenched in icy water. "You?" She mewed. The cat nodded. "What's your name?" She asked him. He looked at her. "Rage." ======================================================================= Dapplekit was known as Dapple now. She learned how to hunt, fight, and scavenge. She didn't like Rage. She hated him, and would run away if she could. But he barely let her out of his sight. She padded out of the den one day, and poked her head into Rage's den. She flicked her ears when she saw he was missing. She grinned, seeing this as an opportunity, and bolted out of the den. She immediately went to the place her father would be the least likely to be. By the twoleg dens. Dapple rounded the corner and looked around. No one was there. She sniffed the air and her tail-tip twitched. She has scented another cat. Leaping behind a few boulders she waited for him. After a little bit another rouge, about her age, walked by. He has brown fur with darker brown tabby stripes in it. He sniffed the air and than ripped open a boulder a bit away from Dapple. Dapple stiffened. How DARE this tom come and take the food she needed. She crouched and leaped at him, hissing. The tom turned and saw her. His eyes widened and he leaped to the side, than leaped on her, pressing her into the ground. Dapple snarled and withered on the ground, but it was no use. The tom let her up and she shook out her fur and glared at the tom. "What was that for?" He hissed. "For trying to take MY food!" Dapple snapped. The tom rolled his eyes. "The food didn't belong to either of us. I just got to it first." He huffed exasperatedly. Dapple growled and flicked her tail. "Leave!" She snapped. The other cat sneered. "I don't take orders from anyone." He scoffed. Dapple sighed. "Lucky. This is the first time my dad hasn't been watching over me." She muttered. Than she explained to the other cat what happened. She learned his name was Snake. "Where's your den?" She asked him. He nodded back in the direction of where he'd came from. "Why?" He mewed. Dapple shrugged. "In case I run away." She said. Snake nodded. "See you tomorrow here?" He asked her. Dapple nodded. "Unless my dad is back." She mewed. They nodded to each other and parted ways. ======================================================================= Dapple and Snake met many times later. They became friends, and than, even closer. Dapple was curled up next to Snake, who was breathing deeply, asleep. She gently got up and padded out of the den to get some fresh air. She looked around and was suddenly flattened by an unknown force. She let out a screech and Snake was out in a heartbeat. "Get OFF of her!" He yowled, shoving into the thing. The other cat rolled to the side and Dapple scrambled up and pressed against Snake. She gasped as she saw Rage glaring at her. "Um... Dad... What are you doing here?" She mewed. "Coming to see where you are every night." Rage growled. Snake looked at Rage. "He's your dad?" He mewed. Dapple nodded. "Dapple. Come with me. Now." Rage growled. Dapple looked at Snake who nuzzled her. "I'll see you later." He murmured to her. Dapple nodded and followed Rage. Rage led her down a street and stopped. He looked at her. "You'll never see him again." He mewed, grinning, but it never reached his eyes. Dapple narrowed her eyes. "I WILL be able to see him again." She growled. Rage shrugged and smiled. "You're right. You'll see him one last time." He said breezily. Dapple hesitated. What do you mean?" She mewed as a blood curdling howl came from where she had been with Snake. She let out a yowl and ran back to where she had left Snake. She stopped short and saw Snake lying there, limp. Blood pooling around his throat. She caught a flash of orange as a tom leapt over a wall. She let out a wail and buried her nose in Snake's fur. She turned as she heard pawsteps and saw Rage padding over to her. "You knew!" She wailed. Rage just smiled. Dapple growled and turned around. She fled, leaping over the wall and just running. She heard Rage yowl for her to come back, but she kept on going. She finally grew to tired to run anymore and crawled into a large crevice in the side of a twoleg nest and fell asleep. ======================================================================= Dapple padded down through the streets and leaped up onto a fence. She looked around and saw a bunch of trees. There. She thought to herself and she leaped down. She quickly ran through the streets, avoiding all other cats. Any of them could tell her father, and she would be dead. Like Snake. Her eyes welled with tears at the thought of him. She had never gotten to tell him about Starclan... She shook it off and leaped onto a fence. She than preceded to climb up the side of a twoleg den and onto the top of it. There. She could see for miles in any direction. She looked to her left and saw an endless stretch of the twoleg place. She new she could never go back. Too many memories, good and bad. And Rage was there. She looked over to the right and her heart skipped a beat. There. The forest. Home. She leaped down from the twoleg nest and took off running there. ======================================================================= Dapple stopped as she scented a marker. She flicked her ears as she recognized it as the border marker. She leaped across and began to run through the woods. She stopped short as she was filled with doubt. Would her clanmates welcome her back? Would any of them miss her? Would they even recognize her? She hesitated on whether to step forward or not. The dilemma was decided for her as she heard voices from the undergrowth. She leaped into a nearby bush on the other side of the border and hid there. In hiding, she saw Rabbit- she didn't know what he was called now, Dark- she wasn't sure what she was called either, and Badgermarks. They stopped at the border and began to mark it when Badgermark's nose twitch. "Rabbitears? Do you also smell the rouge?" He mewed. Rabbitears padded over to where Badgermarks was and nodded. His eyes narrowed in concentration. "Hmm..." He mewed, his tail flicking, and Dapple caught her breath. "What is it?" Badgermarks mewed, looking at Rabbitears. "Darkfire, don't you recognize the scent?" Rabbitears mewed, ignoring Badgermarks, who huffed. Darkfire padded over and scented the area and her eyes widened. "It smells like Dapplekit!" She exclaimed. Badgermarks shook his head. "That's impossible. The rouge took her. Remember?" He mewed. Rabbitears nodded, agreeing with Darkfire, and again, ignoring Badgermarks. "It does." He mewed painfully. "It isn't." Badgermarks mewed with assurance. "C'mon." Dapple had thoughts of coming out as the three walked away. But she decided against it. She has chosen her own path that she would walk. Alone. ======================================================================= Dapple trudged through the non-clan territory. She had passed a farm a little while ago, and was now in a rocky gorge area. She continued on, until she was passing through a tunnel onto the thunderpath. She scented clan cats, but found the border. She was on the side of it with the non-clan territory. It was marshy and had pine trees. She crawled into a rotting log and fell asleep. ======================================================================= It had been two moons, and Dapple realized she was expecting kits. She had found herself delighted, and dreading it. How would she hunt? Fight? What if the kits got sick? She didn't know the different herbs. She shuddered and fell asleep. Dapple awoke to a sharp pain in her stomach. She groaned as another sharp pain went through her. I'm kitting? Now? She thought to herself. ======================================================================= Dapple licked the last kit, a large grey tom, exhausted. She had three kits, a brown tom with a dark brown stripe on his back that curved from side to side, a small little she-cat that looked nearly the same as her, and a large grey tom. She laid down and went to sleep. She woke up a little while later and saw her kits were all curled up together and against her, asleep. She purred and didn't move so she wouldn't wake them up.What should I call you? "You'll be Arch," she murmured, touching the grey tom on the head lightly with her tail-tip. "You'll be Flower, after my mother." She whispered, touching the she-cat on the head with her tail-tip gently. "And you'll be Snake, after your father." She whispered, touching the brown tom on the head. And she fell back asleep. ======================================================================= Three moons had passed. Dapple padded into the den. Three kits leaped on her joyfully. "What did you get?" Squeaked Flower. "Did you get into any fights?" Arch mewed. "Anything exciting happened?" Snake asked. Dapple purred and set the two mice down. "Two mice, no, and no." She mewed, nuzzling each of them. The three of them set into one of the mice ravenously and Dapple took a few bites of the other one. Flower finished first and climbed on Dapple's back. "Tell us a story!" She mewed. Arch and Snake looked up excitedly. "Yeah!" Snake mewed happily and bounced over to Dapple. Arch nodded enthusiastically. Dapple purred. "Alright than." She mewed, and began. ======================================================================= The kits were asleep again. Dapple smiled and gently padded out of the den to get some fresh air. She ran through the trees, something she hadn't done in a while. She smiled and stopped running, and just walked around. Dapple new something was wrong as soon as she scented the twolegs so close to her den. She went into a sprint when she heard the mews of her kits. She burs into the clearing just in time to see the twolegs scoop a wriggling Arch into a crate. "NO!" She shrieked, leaping at the twolegs. She made it halfway across the clearing, and leaped again. This time latching on a twoleg's leg. The twoleg roared and tried to shake her off. When the leg wasn't in motion Dapple let go and stood in front of the entrance to the den, hissing, as the twoleg lumbered off. She ducked inside the den to find Snake shaking in the corner. "Mama!" He squeaked, and rushed to her. Dapple swept her tail around him and stared at the wall of the den. "Mama! The twolegs came and reached in. Arch clawed it and I ran to the back. It howled and grabbed Flower and it's paw went out with her. It grabbed Arch next and than you came and..." he mewed in a rush, than buried his nose into her fur. Dapple didn't answer for a few heartbeats, than slumped onto the den floor. "Oh Snake..." she murmured, and fell asleep. ======================================================================= Dapple padded through the marsh, trying to find some sense of direction. If she could find the border to that clan she would be fine. "Mama, I'm tired!" A voice behind her piped up. She turned to look at Snake, he looked up at her expectantly. "We'll rest soon sweetie." She mewed, padding on. She stopped when she found a burrow under a tree. "See." She mewed, crawling in. Dapple did not expect the fox to be there. She backed out quickly as the fox barked and padded out of the den. Snake stared at it in distress. "What's that?" He yelped, staring wide-eyed at the fox. "Fox." Dapple mewed, half to herself. She whipped around to face Snake. "RUN!" She mewed. Snake shook his head. The fox barked and ran at them. "RUN! Dapple yowled again, shoving Snake. This time, he ran. She saw him run into a line of bushes and he disappeared. She fell on her side as the fox knocked into her. She screeched and lashed out at the fox's muzzle. "The fox yelped and stepped back, than rushed again and Dapple, dodged, but the fox latched onto her tail. She screeched and turned to face the fox, clawing at it's eyes. The fox shook his head sharply to the right and Dapple fell heavily on her side. The fox lunged down at her, at what appeared to be her throat, than everything faded into black. ======================================================================= Dapple looked at the ground when she was finished telling her story. She could feel Thornwind's pity. "Dapple... I'm sorry..." he mewed softly. Dapple shook her head. "It's alright. I know my kits are safe in Shadowclan, and they all like it there." She mewed softly, watching them. "Well, I'll see you." Thornwind mewed, getting up. "See you." Dapple mewed as he padded away." Written by Wolfp3lt

Inferno
Dark stretched and yawned, glancing around to see if Light was back from hunting. Her brother soon appeared with a rabbit in his jaws. He dropped near her.
"Thanks," Dark murmured tearing into the prey. "Where's Howl?"
"Hmm? Oh, he said he was going to find Silver. Said he was worried she was going to do something stupid," Light sat down, staring off into space, lost in a daydream.
Dark scanned the forest for her brother, eyes narrowed against the bright glare of the setting sun. She blinked, confused. The moon was already up, and the sun had set awhile ago. Her blood turned to ice as she realized what it was.
"Light, look!" she hissed, and her tone instantly pulled him out of the daydream. He followed her gaze and bristled.
"That's where Howl went!" he cried, darting toward the bright flames licking the night sky, the stars swallowed by billowing black smoke.
"Light!" Dark darted after her brother, fear tightening her chest. They were headed straight for the largest forest fire she'd ever seen. Smoke seemed to have swallowed the luminous stars and darkened the moon. The flames towered above them, leaping from tree to tree, half the forest ablaze. The heat caused her eyes to water and she coughed, choking on the thick smoke. Her brother's pale gold pelt disappeared into the fire. She stopped, swinging her head around wildly, desperate to find either of her brothers. She froze in fear when she saw flames leaping from treetop to treetop toward her. Am I going to die here? Her vision seemed to disappear until all she could see was the bright red columns of fire racing toward her. She dimly heard someone calling her name.
Howl crashed into her side, bowling her over and out of the path of the flames. He backed away and she stood up, shaking herself. She noticed Silver standing nearby, the she-cat's tail flicking nervously, pretty amber eyes full of nervous tension.
"Where's Light?" Howl asked her, concern bright in his eyes.
"I don't know. He- he was looking for you and I..." Dark broke off into a fit of coughing, the smoke stinging her throat and eyes. "I lost him."
"We'll find him," Howl said. He turned to Silver. "You need to get out of here."
Silver shook her head. "No. I want to help."
Dark glanced around. They were almost surrounded by crackling, hissing, spitting fire. "No time to argue. Let's go!" She darted through a small gap in the flames. Paws thumping behind her assured her that Silver and Howl were following. She pounded through the forest, dodging flaming branches and fallen trees still burning on the ground. Her chest heaved as she painfully gasped for breath, the smoke growing thicker. She careened into Light as he hurtled toward her. They tumbled to the ground. Light stood and backed up. Just then, a loud crack sounded louder than the roar of fire, and a huge branch fell between Dark and Light. A yowl of pain sounded from where Light had been. Thankfully the branch wasn't flaming, but embers sparked and hissed from one end of it, threatening to burst into flame. "Light!" she screeched, frantically trying to move the branch.
"I'm stuck!" Light's panicked mew came from the other side of the huge branch.
"Don't worry, we'll get you out," Howl called. He started pulling at the branch. "It's too heavy!" he puffed. "We need someone to push from the other side. I can-"
"I'll go," before either of them could protest, Silver had leaped over the fallen branch and starting pushing it away from Light. Howl and Dark pulled at it, and it shifted, freeing Light. Soon their pale gold brother was standing next to them, panting with relief.
"We're not safe yet. Silver, let's-" Howl's mew was cut off by a loud roar and then a groan. A nearby tree creaked and moaned, tilting toward them. The three siblings darted away as the tree crashed down, sending more sparks and flames leaping into the air. A loud screech came from under it, quickly cut off.
"Silver!" Howl yowled, his voice filling with grief.
"Come on Howl, we have to get out of here!" Dark pushed him away from the tree. Light stared in shock at the crackling inferno where he'd been moments ago.
"It should have been me," he said, sorrow clearly etched in his dark green eyes.
The three of them raced away as the roaring of fire increased in volume, drowning out all sounds. They emerged from the forest, racing toward the nearby lake, hoping to escape the flames by the water. They panted at the water's edge, watching their home burn, the raging inferno illuminating the night. The reflection of flames flickered in the dark surface of the lake.
"She's gone. Gone," Howl choked, his voice rough and filled with pain and grief. "Why did she have to die? It's my fault! I should have pushed the branch, I should have-"
"Howl, it's not your fault," Dark said gently, pressing against his side to comfort him.
"Our home..." Light murmured, staring at the burning forest that had been his home.
"We'll find somewhere else. Somewhere better. You'll see," Dark reassured him, looking up at the stars. She desperately hoped she was right, and that they would find a new home. Although that home would likely be a very long way away. Written by ❄☽ѕιℓνєяηιgнт☾❄

Rose
Rose darted forward, desperately trying to keep up with her mother. Rain pounded down onto her, turning the dirt to mud and drenching her fluffy ginger pelt. She could barely see the fuzzy outline of the gray she-cat walking ahead of her through the torrential downpour. "Mom, wait!" she called, her voice filled with fear.
"If you can't keep up then you're not worth keeping," the she-cat spat, keeping up her quick pace.
Rose stumbled but continued following her mother. She started to run, hoping to catch up. She could vaguely see her siblings, Moss and Owl, padding beside her mother. Being the runt of the litter, Rose simply wasn't big enough to keep up. She stumbled again, this time falling into the sticky dark mud that covered the ground. She shook her head and shakily stood up again, looking around wildly, but her mother and siblings had disappeared. She crawled over to a large oak tree, hiding in the roots. Soaked and miserable, she curled up and fell into a fitful sleep.
Rose yawned and stretched, narrowing her eyes against the sunlight filtering through the tree roots. She crept out and shook herself, then started washing her ragged muddy fur. Loud barking startled her, and she looked up to see a big black dog tied to a tree several fox lengths away. It strained against the rope around its neck, snarling and barking. The rope snapped, and it raced toward Rose, eyes wild with rage. Rose instantly darted into the forest, gasping for breath as she raced away from the dog. She knew she couldn't outrun it, and it had already started to catch up to her. Her heart hammered and blood roared in her ears as she sprinted through the forest, the dog's pounding paws right behind her. Suddenly she was lifted up by the scruff of her neck and she was being carried up into a tree. She was dropped onto a large branch high above the dog's reach. She glanced at her rescuer. A tawny and white tom sat on the branch beside her. He hissed at the dog, which was barking and jumping at the bottom of the tree. A loud twoleg yowl interrupted its barking and it growled in frustration, running away through the trees. Rose closed her eyes and gripped the branch, waiting for her heart to stop pounding.
"Hey, are you okay?"
Rose opened her eyes and looked at the tom who'd saved her. He was watching her, his expression concerned. "I-I'm fine," she stammered, sighing with relief. "Who're you?"
"My name's Streak. Nice to meet you. What's yours?" the tom said, his bright blue eyes curious.
"Rose. Why'd you help me?" Rose glanced up at Streak suspiciously.
"I've run into that dog a couple of times. It causes trouble for everyone around here. And I wasn't just gonna let it kill you. Anyway, where's your mother? You shouldn't be wandering around by yourself you know."
"My mom left me behind. She's gone," Rose mumbled, staring down at her paws. "Can you get me down from here?"
"Oh, I'm sorry," Streak said sympathetically. "Just hold still, okay?" He bent down and grabbed her by the scruff of her neck, then leaped from branch to branch down the tree. He placed her on the ground. "So, what are you going to do now? You could come with me, I was going to find a new home soon anyway. How about it?" Streak asked her. Rose nodded, and Streak waved his tail happily. "Great! Let's go."
***
Another bolt of lightning flashed in the sky and thunder rolled through the forest as rain pounded down through the trees. Rose darted toward a cave, Streak close behind her. She shook out her fur once they'd gone in, scattering water everywhere.
"Hey, watch it. I don't need to get wetter," Streak called.
"Sorry," Rose glanced outside the cave. "You think it'll let up soon?"
"I hope so. I don't want to run into those rogues again in this and we have to find a new home since they've decided this is their place now. You ready?" Streak stood at the entrance to the cave, waiting for Rose.
"Yeah," she followed him back out into the downpour, eyes narrowed against the sheets of rain. "Do you think they'll try to attack us in this weather?" she shouted over the storm.
"I doubt it. They're probably sheltering from the storm somewh-" Streak's voice was cut off as something slammed into his side. Rose started to call his name when a cat rammed her as well, knocking her to the ground. Heavy paws pinned her down, claws digging into her side. She yowled in pain and struggled to throw the cat off but she couldn't break free. She could see more of the rogues filtering out of the shadows, surrounding her and Streak. She kicked and slashed, but it was no use. Another cat was helping pin her down now, she was completely helpless. One of the cats stalked toward her and Streak, the leader.
"I thought I told you two to get out of this place," the massive dark tom snarled. Lightning flashed, illuminating the forest momentarily so Rose could see the huge russet tom with a scarred pelt clearly. His ice-blue eyes glittered in rage. "Now we'll just have to teach you a lesson. One you'll never forget!" he yowled, and leaped toward Streak. Rose screeched his name and struggled violently to escape the grasp of her captors, to no avail. The tom slammed into Streak and sank his claws into Streak's neck.
"No!" Rose yowled, managing to kick one of the cats pinning her down in the belly, throwing him off her. She heaved the other cat off and raced toward Streak. The huge scarred tom moved away from Streak as she approached. Rose crouched down near Streak, repeating in her mind over and over that it would be okay. But Streak's eyes had already started to glaze over. Rose buried her muzzle in his fur, which was already getting cold. The scarred tom growled and she looked up at him, fear in her dark gold eyes. "That's what happens when you don't listen to us," he snarled. "Now, get out. Unless you want to end up the same way." Rose raced away, and the circle of rogues parted to let her through. She ran until she was so exhausted she simply collapsed and fell asleep where she was.
***
Rose blinked open her eyes, bright sunlight causing her to squint. She padded through the twolegged place, shaking away the old memories of her past. She knew Streak wouldn't want her to mourn him forever. She glanced around at the home she'd found so long ago the night when he'd died and sighed, wishing he could be here with her. The Choices I've Made
Have you ever had your hopes crushed before you can even imagine them? The night I earned my lives, Spottedstar told me I was never destined to be a great leader. I was instead a fill in until the right one came along.
I am never going to be remembered. No one will name their kit after Rain, the loner who did nothing. My name will be forgotten as time wears on.
Perhaps that's why I've done the things I have. Shadowclan has been our ally for too long. I wanted to make Riverclan independent and strong, just like I knew we were. But it seems I cursed us, because deep down, I know that I really wanted to do something drastically different. I want to be remembered. But not in the way I fear I will be.
Many will doubt the trust I put into my clan. Children of a murderer should not be trusted, they would say. But heritage does not matter to me. Adderbone and Frostlake have proven their loyalty more than enough times. Eveningclaw has taken to the clan better than most clanborn. So don't tell me I made bad decisions trusting them. They will be a great benefit to Riverclan,
I often wonder who this next leader will be. Will it be strong and faithful Blazepelt, who has served me so well as both a deputy and friend? Or will Adderbone step up and fill in the paws I know he is born to take? In the time of evening to night, I ponder these things, wishing my own legacy would be remembered.
Joining Riverclan gave my life meaning. I belonged somewhere. Becoming deputy gave me power. But becoming leader destroyed everything I had worked so hard for. The she cat that made it from loner to leader without changing her name, a brave and strong leader, never to be great and powerful. Never to be loved and respected. I'll lose my last life one day, and my clan will mourn, I'm sure. But no one will remember Rain, the loner that changed everything.
So don't look down upon me or pity me. I may not be remembered, but I will not go without a fight. Starclan may see all, but this is my destiny. I'm writing it. Written by Dawn

Ripplepond and Streampool
Streampool's eyes stared at him lifelessly. Ripplepond felt every piece of him pulled apart. She couldn't be dead. Not after everything. Those eyes, blue as the river, looked the same as they did moons ago.
----
Ripplepaw was first born out of the four friends. His mother was Dawnsky, a faithful clanborn queen, and his father Sunfeather, a half-Shadowclan and half-Riverclan warrior. They both passed away in a flood before he was apprenticed. Then came Blackkit, and lastly, Streampaw and Creekpaw. Perhaps they wouldn't have been friends if not for their loneliness; they were so different. Yet the circumstances allowed and the four kits were hardly seen separate from each other. That was, of course, until he and Blackkit became apprentices.
---
"It'll be ok, we're just looking!" Ripplepaw exclaimed, standing across the river from the other three apprentices. "I don't know Ripplepaw. What if we get caught?" Streampaw asked, her fur shining in the near full moonlight. Ripplepaw patiently walked closer to the bank. "I'll tell everyone I made you come. Trust me," he said, his eyes shining with curiosity. Streampaw looked at him for a moment before gracefully hopping across the bank and splashing some moonlight water onto his pelt. Blackpaw, not to be outdone, quickly crossed over. "Come on mouse brain, we haven't got all night," he said to Creekpaw, who looked scaredly at Blackpaw. Although he meant no harm from his gruff mannerisms, Ripplepaw noticed how Streampaw tensed. Creekpaw had always been nervous, but hanging around Blackpaw made him more skittish than a water bug. "It'll be ok Creekpaw," Ripplepaw said and Streampaw shot him a grateful look as her brother followed them across the Thunderclan border. They had barely gotten four tail lengths into the wooded territory when Ripplepaw scented cats. "What are four fish faces doing in Thunderclan territory?" A voice leered from the shadows. Ripplepaw recognized the cat as Stormblaze from the gatherings as he walked into the light. Two others followed him, including an apprentice no older than Ripplepaw. Blackpaw growled and unsheathed his claws. "Call us that again!" Creekpaw was frozen in fear and Streampaw looked just as scared, but her body was locked in a defiant glare. Ripplepaw looked over his friends and back to the warrior. "I apologize, we mean no harm. I convinced them to come explore, it's not their fault," Ripplepaw explained calmly. Blackpaw shot an annoyed look at him, but Streampaw's relieved happiness made him forget about the dark Tom. Stormblaze looked at all of them carefully. "Alright. I'll let you return to your clan on one condition. You must tell Ripplestar of what you did. If not, he will be informed next gathering, which, judging by the moon, is in a few sunrises." Ripplepaw felt his body go limp getting off so easily. "Thank you Stormblaze. You have my word." Stormblaze looked at him as though he were sizing him up before nodding. "Go then." The apprentice gave a smug look to Blackpaw, but much to his self control, Blackpaw did nothing. "Can you believe we got off that easily?" Blackpaw whispered once they were back on their territory. "You might not say that when we tell Ripplestar." Ripplepaw said sadly. "We won't tell him!" Blackpaw said impatiently. Ripplepaw stopped. "I gave Stormblaze my word." "So what?" Blackpaw hissed, "He's not Riverclan. You do not have to keep your promises with him." "You don't understand!" Ripplepaw said tensely, then lowered his voice when Streampaw and Creekpaw, who were walking ahead, looked back. "I want to be an honorable warrior. I will not lie. And that," he said before Blackpaw could cut him off, "is the end of this discussion."
---
It couldn't end like this. She fought many battles by his side, she couldn't die like this.
----
"Riverclan, attack!" Spottedpelt commanded, racing across Sunningrocks, Ripplepaw hot on her trail. Sunningrocks were theirs! Streampaw was on his side and Creekpaw on the other. Ripplepaw knew Creekpaw wasn't as accomplished a fighter, and planned to stick close to him. But he lost track of everything as he launched himself into the enemy cats. As the battle progressed, he found himself battling fiercely with Cometpaw when he realized he hadn't seen Creekpaw recently. He kicked off Cometpaw and scanned the battle. He spotted Streampaw doing the same. He watched her, debating to run over and help her, when he noticed Creekpaw fighting Lionpaw, flailing under his weight. He leapt over Spottedpelt and crashed on top of Lionpaw. "Pick on someone your own size!" He hissed, pushing off and getting into a stance. Out of the corner of his eye he saw Blackpaw battling side by side Streampaw, and almost forgot about the real enemy. Creekpaw seemed revived by the help and once again set into fighting Lionpaw and Ripplepaw looked for where he was most needed. Spottedpelt was getting cornered by Thunderclan warriors, but he knew he didn't stand a chance. A good warrior knows which battles are to be fought, he thought. But that doesn't mean it's lost! He turned tail and splashed back into Riverclan territory. He raced quickly through the underbrush, faster than he had his entire life. He burst into camp, causing many heads to turn. "We...need...reinforcements," he panted, his sides heaving. Ripplestar watched Ripplepaw as though he was sizing him up. "Mallowpool, Lilypelt, and Swanwing, come with me. Ripplepaw, are you good to head back in?" He asked, getting up as the warriors he named joined him. Ripplepaw nodded eagerly. "We need to hurry!" Ripplestar led the way out of camp quickly. Ripplepaw could hear the Thunderclan warriors announcing their victory as they got close. "Riverclan, attack!" Ripplestar yowled as he crossed the river in a bound and tackled a warrior pinning Spottedpelt. Ripplepaw flashed a look at Streampaw. Her face was lit up with rejuvenated ferocity. "How did you do that?" She asked, eyes wide with appreciation. "They were distracted by Spottedpelt. No one noticed me slip away and go to Ripplestar. When he heard, he ordered almost everyone into battle!" Ripplepaw explained breathlessly. She smiled at him with admiration and he felt his heart soar. That night, Ripplepaw beat every enemy that challenged him. He was unstoppable! Just as he chased another warrior back into the brush, Ripplestar let out a yowl. "Sunningrocks are ours!" The Riverclan cats joined in his triumphant calls. "How did you know to come?" Spottedpelt asked, voicing the others question. Ripplestar looked down at his deputy. "Ripplepaw slipped away while you were cornered and came back to camp to get reinforcements." A couple warriors around him gave Ripplepaw thankful looks. "Ripplepaw you're action prove you a warrior." He mewed calmly, his eyes studied Ripplepaw for a moment longer before he jumped down and faced the apprentice, "Ripplepaw do you promise to uphold the ways of the warrior code? To protect and defend this clan even at the cost of your life?" Ripplepaw's heart skipped a beat when he realized what was happening. "I do," he said, strongly. "Then by the powers of Starclan, I give you your new name. From now on, you will be known as Ripplepond. Starclan honors your cleverness and strength." Ripplepond barely heard the cheers around him as he licked his Leander's shoulder. One voice did stand out. He looked over his shoulder and saw Streampaw cheering louder than anyone else, her eyes shining and fur gleaming.
---
Blood swirled around his paws. He knew he was next.
---
"Nice catch," Streampaw purred, watching him shake off water droplets. Ripplepond purred as he glanced at her and the fish at her paws. "You too. You'll be a warrior soon," he promised, taking his place by the river next to her. "Blackpaw thinks so too," Streampaw agreed and Ripplepond made an effort to make his fur lay flat. Blackpaw was always trying to get time with Streampaw, and ever since he became a mentor Blackpaw was succeeding.
----
He knew Blackadder would get his revenge.
---
"Ripplepond, can I talk to you?" Streampool asked, leaning against him.
---
Battle, accidents, death berries, adder, fight. "Always."
---
Streampool was tackled by Stormblaze before they even realized they were watching them. He gazed into her dead eyes, the ones who danced with life and love every time he looked into them. The eyes that shone brighter than the stars when he was made a warrior, the ones that raised his kits, the ones that so eagerly and lovingly trusted him to die together. They were dark and dead. Then the world went black. Written By Dawn

My Precious Deputy
First it was Tigerstripe, until age caught up to him and forced him to retire. Then it was Otterfish, a loyal and energetic youth who died too soon. Each deputy meant a great deal to me. I loved them as I love my clanmates. But when the time came to call upon a clanmate to step up, I chose one I loved more than a clanmate. I chose Blazepelt, the strong and steady rock that does not move in the river. His loyalty to the clan made him the obvious choice as deputy, yet I was tempted not to name him as my deputy. Why?
Because I was selfish. As a loner, I had promised to myself never to take a mate. Starclan in turn led me to Riverclan, where they cruelly gave me Blazepelt. He was very kind to me in my first moons at Riverclan, but more than that, he believed in me as I made my way through the clan ranks. He was everything to me, but I could never tell him that. So when the time came to call a new deputy, I feared choosing him. I didn't need the extra time with the handsome warrior. It hurt just to be near him, let alone spend every second with him by my side.
But I knew it had to be him. So Blazepelt became my deputy and he was the best. I depended on him and he never failed. We became very close, and, had I not taken an oath, I could have seen us becoming mates.
Time passed and our friendship has remained as string as ever. Just as instantly as I would throw down my life for his, he would do the same. It became clear to those who watched us that we were a team.
And that's how it started. Rain and her precious deputy became the highest priority to Adderbone. Once they were gone, it would be all clear for him to continue. It wasn't too difficult to exile us; we still believed every word he spoke. Written by Dawn

Robinstar's Forgiveness I could hear the snoring of my mate beside me. My eyes opened seeing my beloved Adderstar beside me. I could feel my two bundles of joy by my side and yet I felt nothing on the inside. I stood up shaking my head and padded out of the den and out of camp. Looking at the ground beneath my paws the screams and cries came back to me. Looking up at the sky the stars shine and twinkle,"How can you shine on me with your beauty and hope?,"my claws dug into the ground. Tears dappling the ground,"I don't deserve the light at night. I don't deserve the soft glow to see where my paws lead me,"I whispered. My claws dug into the ground before I lifted them up to inspect,"How many cats have I killed with these own claws? How many lives torn away and broken because of me?,"turning I look at the river watching my own reflection stare back at me. Who was this cat? Who had I become? I saw the dark shape of Blackadder in the river beside me and I let out a hiss swiping at the water tear drops falling into it,"Im only myself....I am....I am....nobody,"what was I thinking? Turning my back on what I knew what I had ever known? Yes. Deep within me I couldn't stand to see myself this darkness. I didn't deserve the praise, the loyalty, nothing. I was the nightmare in my mind, my own worst enemy. I took a step towards the river shaking slightly,"Mother....father...forgive me. Brothers forgive me. Spiritpaw forgive me,"I looked back up at the stars,"Forgive me,"I whispered curling up next to the river sobbing loudly. I finally realized how awful of a cat I am. No I am not fit to call myself a cat. I am nothing noble! My claws sank into the ground. What wasn't noticed in the river the dark figure of Blackadder vanished. Hiddenface and Rushfeather stood bright with stars in their pelts. "Forgiveness is the first step,"I could hear someone whisper. The words brought me back to my days in the nursery where everything was good. I wished to go back to those times rewrite my history. Standing back up padding into the river closing my eyes,"Forgive me,"I whispered letting the current drag me down.I will never hurt another cat again....I forgive. Written by Lonespirit/Jewelspirit

Lostraven's Last Letter Darkness. I am not here anymore. Coming and going for generations my spirit always changing. I am Lostraven a deputy of Shadowclan, a mate to Bateyes, a mother of Batflight, Loneraven, Aurablaze, bestfriend to Moonstar. You see we are all a part of a never ending cycle of life, death, and rebirth. When I faded I saw all the memories of my life rush through me. My first breath, my mother and father. My training and raising through my ranks. I can see it all how much I gained and how much I lost. The day I died I left behind my clan and my family. Reunited in Starclan with my friends and my one true mate. Bateyes....I will always love you. The way you look at me I get shivers all over, my pelt warms just being around you. You are my one and only the only one to take my heart. I know I will never be forgotten because you love me. From the beginning my life was set in stone, planned out so I could have a wonderful life and afterlife. Moonstar my old friend. I remember us in the nursery tumbling around together two little fluffballs. Our mentors had a tough time with us. I know you will remember those times we shared. We were side by side through everything, when you left my life. I felt somewhat empty, you were and always will be my best friend. I know I am gone now and left a place but truthfully I am never gone. Those feelings...those memories will live one. Please help my kits remember me, remember me for who I was. Don't let them forget I loved them, watched them, and protected them. This maybe the last time we talk....last time we will ever see one another. But it is a never ending cycle. Light and Love will never die. Goodbye my friends. Remember me. Written by Lonespirit/Jewelspirit

Aurablaze's Battle The day I lost my sight was the day I lost hope. I could no longer see, I could no longer hear through one ear. I was no use to my clan, not much better then a newborn kit. The adder struck me without mercy intending to kill me...and I wish it had. Once I came too I knew my world would forever be dark. I couldn't see anything, not the clear blue sky, nor my own paws in front of my face. I grew depressed the once strong Aurablaze daughter of Lostraven deputy of Shadowclan and Bateyes my proud father brother to Moonstar could no longer see, could no longer be who I once was. How could this happen to me? I was the deputy of Shadowclan I couldn't be blind. I couldn't be deaf in one ear how could I one day rule and protect my clan? Truth was I couldn't. I would never be able to. I had to step down as deputy something I never wanted to do, I would rather have died then step down. When I am alone I wish that adder's venom did its job and finished me off. I truly cant live this way. Being half alive. I can feel, scent, and taste, hearing out of one ear. But I can never see the faces of my clanmates ever again, the way they must look at me. What pity they must have...what distain for me. I bet kits run the first time they see me. I can hear the way cats whisper when I walk by. I am always pacing and looking up at the sky. Why cant someone put me out of my misery? I sit by the river and swipe at it, I cant see my own reflection but I know its laughing at me, it can see me but I cant see it. I am slowly spiraling away in my own madness. No more screams or shouts I am quiet as a mouse now. There is no way out of this. But that was until I started mentoring Longsight...then Longpaw. He was born blind and right from the start he was better then me. We learned from each other, I see myself in him. Ha see...he is strong and fights for what he wants, to prove himself that he is no less then anyone else. He looks up to me and yet I question why. How could the once great Aurablaze be looked up too in this state? He has never seen me but knows what happened to me yet he still believes in me. Tries his best to keep myself afloat. He keeps me laughing and he keeps me sane. I would be lost without his kindness. Maybe....just maybe I don't have to be alone in this, I don't have to dwell in my madness day in and day out. I could be set free and live out my days. Hopefully he feels the same. Written by Lonespirit/Jewelspirit

Treason in Riverclan: Blazepelt's Story Anger. Pain. Devastation. All of the above would apply for the current state of Riverclan right now after the massive attack by Shadowclan and Thunderclan. Blazepelt staggered towards Rain, tired beyond anything he had ever experienced before. His whole body felt like it was on fire (no pun intended), and his shoulder felt like it had been ripped to shreds. Around him, Riverclan cats yowled in pain, while others remained motionless. His head spun as he tried to fathom the scale of this disaster, the magnitude of this calamity. Great Starclan... The reeds around the entrance of the camp were broken or twisted at odd angles. He couldn't even recognize the warriors den any more; it was just a heap of reeds and vegetation. The rest of the camp was not any better. He looked at Rain now. The Riverclan leader's fur was matted, and her eyes were closed. "Riverclan has learned their lesson." Northstar mewed a few fox-lengths away, glancing down at Rain, "It's time for us to head home." She flicked her tail for some warriors, before turning to Duskstar. "Sunningrocks belongs back to Thunderclan," she nodded. Blazepelt wasn't able to make a sound. It felt as though he had swallowed an oversized ball of moss that was lodged in his throat. They hadn't just lost. They had been destroyed. Northstar turned to Rain. She bent her head to the leader's ear and whispered something before starting toward the Riverclan camp entrance. "Shadowclan! Move out!" With that, she slipped into the shadows and disappeared. The remaining Shadowclan cats exited the camp, with the Thunderclan cats following suit after them. Now that only the Riverclan cats remained, the camp looked barren and empty. He swayed slightly and blinked, trying to clear his head of the fogginess. He looked down, confused at the dark patch of soil beneath him. He realized with a start that blood had been steadily seeping out of several gashes across his body. He shook his head. Remember your priorities. Rain and Riverclan need help right now, so you have to get it together. Next to him, Rain gave a wild jerk, her breathing rapid and shallow. She glanced around in a panic, but settled once she saw him. "I died," she choked out. Blazepelt rushed to her side, resting his tail on her shoulder to comfort her. "Don't worry Rain, It'll be fine. I have it under control." He supported her with his uninjured shoulder as she staggered to her paws. He heard pawsteps and looked up to see Adderbone. The tom had blood streaked across his pelt with fur ripped out in some places. His eyes were grim and worried. "We need to get her out of this camp. She is not safe here anymore." he mewed. Blazepelt looked at him steadily. "Are you suggesting we move her out of Riverclan?" he asked with a bit of surprise. Adderbone nodded. "Everybody now knows that we are weak. Our camp is in ruins, and we don't have many able warriors. It would be easy for any clan to launch another attack." Blazepelt considered this. Adderbone's words were true, and he didn't see a way Riverclan would be able to defend itself for some time. Even if moving Rain out of camp was risky, it may be the only way to ensure her safety. "Are you sure about this?" he asked. Adderbone nodded. "I know a safe place where we can go," the tom mewed. Blazepelt twitched his ears in assent. "We'll get you out of here, okay?" he whispered to Rain. She mumbled something incoherent as Adderbone supported her other side. They slowly made their way out of camp. As they walked, Blazepelt took in the damaged plants and churned up soil that appeared everywhere he looked. So much has been destroyed, he thought defeatedly. Finally, they reached the bank of the river. "Where are we going, Adderbone?" he asked, his shoulder stiffening up from supporting Rain's weight. Rain stumbled to a stop with him. "What is it Adderbone? Why are we here?" she asked softly. Adderbone stared into the river, his ears back in anger, "What have you two done?" he mewed with a look back at the leader and deputy, "Look what you did to Riverclan! Both Shadowclan AND Thunderclan have attacked us because of your actions." He faced them both. His eyes seemed hurt and furious, "Our clanmates are gravely injured, probably even dying!" he got in Rain's face, "How dare Starclan curse us with a rogue for a leader! You don't understand Clan life! Didn't you know that you were digging a grave for Riverclan?!" He then faced Blazepelt, "And you, you don't even have an excuse, you're CLANBORN and you're her deputy! You should've spoken up on how she was killing the Clan!" Blazepelt stared at him in shock. "What in the name of Starclan are you talking about?" he hissed. Beside him, Rain stiffened with anger. "What did I do? You're the one who convinced me to attack Shadowclan! I've sacrificed everything for this clan and this is what I get in return? You are trying to exile me?" she hissed, lashing her tail. "If this clan can't accept me, then why bother? I worked harder than any warrior clanborn or otherwise to ensure Riverclan's success!" Blazepelt's eyes narrowed. Adderbone is trying to kick us out of Riverclan?! "I was an apprentice!" Adderbone hissed hardly at Rain, "Some leader you are listening to an apprentice! You should've known what Shadowclan would've done!" He slid his claws out, "Riverclan is better off without both of you!" "I should have never trusted you!" Rain shot back. "I thought you respected me, but you've always hated me! Am I just a rogue to you?" She snarled, pulling away from Blazepelt to threaten the warrior. "I hope you know what you're doing!" she snapped, marching across the river, splattering blood as she went. "Rain!" Blazepelt exclaimed. Adderbone flattened his ears and snarled watching Rain go. He glanced at Blazepelt. Blazepelt hissed in anger, the fury in his eyes evident. How could he have let this happen? "Adderbone, you fox-hearted traitor!" he yowled, eyes flashing dangerously, then sinking back to an ice-cold hatred. "Don't think that you have won, because we will... take Riverclan back from your filthy claws." He turned, and followed Rain across the river. Adderbone snorted, "Riverclan doesn't want you back!" he snapped with his teeth bared. Blazepelt glared at Adderbone, anger and fury pulsing through his body. Adderbone just glared back, evil satisfaction in his eyes. The only sound was the rushing of the river, filling the deafening silence as the two warriors stared each other down. Riverclan will not fall to your filthy claws, Blazepelt vowed silently, I will make sure of that. As he turned and headed farther and farther through the brush towards Highstones, his pawsteps came quicker and lighter. No matter what I have to go through to rescue my clan, I swear on Starclan that I will not rest until they are safe. Adderbone, you may have swayed the opinion, you may have deceived the clans, and you may have cheated the paws of justice. But you will never win this war. Because while you may have the claws of my cats, I have their hearts. By Blazestar99
