~ ~ Introduction ~ ~ Your ears perked up as the deputy and medicine cat pad out of the leader's den. They look at each other before the deputy, Wavecry, lept up on the meeting stone. Her face was carefully kept neutral, though you can see the sadness in her blue eyes. Your fears have been confirmed. Thunderstar has died. You dip your head down in respect for the noble leader. A wail echoed from the nursery. Your head swerved to see Thunderstar's mate sinking her claws into the dirt and shaking. The kits mewed weakly at their mother, one even lightly padding her. You almost get up, but see the medicine cat apprentice talking lowly to the queen. Mosspaw could calm down the she-cat. Turning your head back, you see Wavecry finish her announcement. The new leader dipped her head before lifting it. "Now, I will travel to the-" A large crack sounded through the clearing. Every cat's head turned. It was deadly silent. The only thing that could be heard was the soft crying of a kit. Then, we saw it. A wave, taller than the pines, roared. It pushed over the trees like they were just saplings. It was faster than the horses that ran over the plains. Nothing stood a chance. You take a couple steps back as every fur on your body stands up and you start to shake. No. You think before the wave engulfs you. ~ ~ About ~ ~ Okay. Let's hope I didn't confuse any of you. If I did, I'm terribly sorry. This rp is based on a clan that gets separated by a flood from a broken dam. Some cats are trying to get home, and others are planing something else. Sootstorm and Pineclaw are trying to say that the flood was a sign from StarClan that Wavecry will destroy the clan. They, with their followers, are trying to get to the Sky Oak before Wavecry does. There can be a couple of subplots. Some cats are going to start out hurt and others will be split apart from their families. Hopefully this will cause some drama. ~ ~ Rules ~ ~ (Keeping them simple) 1 ~ Follow the Forum rules and Ghost rules. 2 ~ Please be semi-literate. I'm not asking for pages, but please more than one sentence with correct grammar and spelling. 3 ~ Drama will work differently in this clan. Please don't spotlight or godmod. Since we have different groups, it is okay if you start a fox fight or something small. Don't go large and say a storm started or a wolf pack crashed through. 4 ~ Characters will be mostly claim. You may create a couple of characters if you wish.
5 ~ Don't fight out of character. |

~ ~ Territory ~ ~
The Old Forest A large forest filled with widely spaced sugar pines. There is little undergrowth and little low hanging branches. There is one oak, called the Sky Oak, that the clan uses to communicate to StarClan. The cat has to crawl under the roots to a little area. Squirrels and various birds show up here commonly. Mice also live here but are less common. Foxes also wander the forest. The Horse Field A flat land to the south of the forest. There is tall grass that covers the land. Only one or two trees cover the area, but there are several shrubs spread throughout the plain. A small stream flows through, sometimes disappearing into the earth to only reappear a couple foxlengths south. Mice, birds, rabbits, toads, and voles can be found here, but voles and toads hang around the stream. Snakes and foxes are common threats. Horses are also threats though they will not attack. The Twoleg place and the Bubbling Brook These are to the east of the old forest. The Bubbling Brook is now the Roaring Brook. The brook is out of control and nearly uncrossable. The stones poking out of the water are slippery and disappear half the time. The twoleg place on the other side is abandoned except for a couple of kittypets. The houses are all nearly destroyed. Islands The Bubbling Brook splits off into small rivers creating a delta. This delta has many islands that form the usual triangle. There is many lush, green plants that surprising survived the flood. Many birds, lizards, and frogs live here as well as snakes and alligators. The Broken Stone In human speak, the broken dam. It was small really, and it is still holding some water back. Twolegs tend to hang out around here. The Hills Pretty large hills that are hard to climb, but not impossible. Not much is up on the hills besides short rough grass and weeds. Some mice and birds can be found. |

Wavecry blinked quickly before shutting her eyes. She had already coughed up what seemed like the ocean. Now...well now, she was just trying to process what was happening. The deputy had just clamed the leader spot when the wave came. That much she knew. If she wasn't drenched and sore, she would think it was a dream. Seeing how she was drenched and sore, she had no choice but to face reality. That could mean that the clan was dead. She opened her eyes, determined to prove the thought wrong. If she survived, others could have too. Problem was, she was trapped by mud and StarClan knows what. It was weighing her down. She could only breath in short gasps. The grey she-cat started to wiggle, and grunt as the mud shifted.
(I'll post one for Minnowsplash if you wanted to rp with her. )

Minnowsplash winced. Every step was slower and rougher. The queen continued with a hard look in her eyes. She held two kits in her jaws. Both where small, soaked kittens too weak to even shiver. Her legs gave out a second later. She held her kits up to block them from the fall. She let the kittens go as she breathed heavily. The queen could barely lift her head enough to lick her kits. "We are safe. Mommy is here. Please come back. Please breath." She croaked getting quieter and quieter as it became difficult to speak. She shook when the kits didn't move. "Stormkit? Thornkit?" She called again. She gave each another rough lick.

Mosspaw winced, blinking his green eyes open. What had happened? He barely remembered- he was comforting some cat- why was he comforting her? He could barely remember.
Suddenly, he heard weak mewling. His head shot up, and Mosspaw immediately headed towards the source of the noise.
Mosspaw flicked his ear, trying to determine the source. After he darted over a rise, he could finally see her- Minnowsplash.
"Minnowsplash!" He called, running over to her. "Are you okay? Are the kits ok?" He asked. Without waiting for a response from the queen, he picked up one of the kits ans started licking him vigorously.
"Help me. Get them to breathe." He told the queen between licks.
A thousand thoughts was running through his head at the same moment- what if the kits died? Did that mean he wasn't qualified to be a medicine cat? What had even happened, and where was Wavecry?

The queen gave a shaky nod before working on Thornkit. She licked his fur the opposite way, so it would stick up and dry quickly. He always did have the messiest fur. Even after cleaning him, she remembered he would run off with tufts of fur sticking up. She froze for a second before continuing to lick the kit. Nothing. She looked over at Stormkit to see him breathing. The kitten coughed up some water, but continued to sleep. Minnowsplash's eyes darkened. "Mosspaw, what-" She stopped herself before continuing, "about Thornkit?" The tom lay motionless near the queen's paws. If Stormkit was breathing, she could only assume the worst. After all, if StarClan took away her other kittens and mate, why wouldn't they take away Thornkit too?
