if you're okay with it, do you think that we could have this more set in modern times? Say, the events from the HP happen 100 years in advance to what they actually do in the books?

ROLEPLAY - Lissa's grin widend, if that was even possible. She bounced on both her feet. "Brilliant. Of course they'll be okay with it. I've been telling them about you and they really like that I've been able to make some friends." She glanced over towards the Quiddich pitch and then back to the castle. "But first we have to deal with Riddle." She added grimly.
"I haven't been spying on him recently, but I overheard that they're going to three broomsticks in the next few days. Maybe we could have a butter beer?" -

Also I was thinking we should have the first victims of the basilisk now? And I was thinking we start with Piper because she’s very close to Ophelia and a mudblood so it would totally work. Or maybe it would be better to sort of build up to Piper, idk)
“Ooh, you’ve been telling them about me? All good things, I hope. Well that’s fine cos I’ve told my dad about you as well. He’s surprised I spoke to somebody, he insists that I have my head so far in books all of the time that I’m not even aware when people are talking to me.”
At the mention of Riddle, Ophelia nodded.
“You’re right, we do need to deal with him. A butterbeer sounds nice. I think they should be fairly easy to tail, they’re excellent at making their presence known wherever they go and they’re not exactly the most observant of people.”
They’d all missed Lissa’s water spell on Riddle, after all.

ROLEPLAY - "Well, you certainally had your head in my water book for a while." Lissa teased, nudging Lia with her arm, starting to walk back towards the castle. "Blake was saying that there's a match between Griffindor and Ravenclaw this week." She said, glancing over towards the pitch. "I almost don't know who to cheer for." She sent her another teasing grin, frowning a little when she saw the group in question gathered around the entrence to the pitch. Lissa sighed and turned slightly to avoid the group. Sure, she could be a snark to Riddle always, but he was getting tiresome. -

“Well,” she chuckled “you could always cheer for both of us. It should be a fun match, I’m quite excited. Of course, Ravenclaw never win the house cup, but we do it for the fun of it anyway. I’m looking forward to it.”
She looked up to see one of the teachers rushing across the grounds followed by a crowd of students, some of whom looked very pale while others were clearly questioning the teacher intensely.
”I told you, children, go to your next class immediately. I can’t answer your questions” the teacher could be heard saying as he approached
”Ophelia Fieldwake?” the teacher asked, looking at the girl, who nodded. What was going on?
”I think you’d better come with me. Quickly, time is of the essence. Come on, your friend can come too.” the man said, rushing off back towards the building.
With an alarmed look towards Lissa, Ophelia followed the teacher. Was she in trouble for something? What had happened?

ROLEPLAY - Lissa felt a pit of dread drop in her stomach and she hurried after Ophelia and the teacher. There were panicked looking teachers everywhere, ushering panicked and confused students to away frown whatever was going on. Some where shouting protests, others were just confused and murmuring between themselves. As they walked towards the medical wing the panicked student were lesser, and there were more teachers crowded around the doorway and one bed.
Lissa presses her hand against her chest, and reached out to take Lia’s hand, squeezing it gently as they approached. -

They’d reached the medical wing and there was her little sister, frozen in place. Her face was frozen in a shocked expression, and a little handmirror lay on the bed beside her. It must have been in her hands, one of which was frozen like it had been holding something. She wasn’t moving at all and there were no signs of life.
She was vaguely aware of Lissa squeezing her hand, though her friend felt about a million miles away. She squeezed her hand back.
“Wha- What’s happened?” Ophelia asked quietly before her voice grew more distressed “What’s happened to my sister?”
“She’s been Petrified, dear,” said one of the teachers gently “We’re doing our best to heal her, she’s going to be alright.”
“Piper...” she murmured before turning her gaze back to the teacher “Who—-What—- did this?”
“We don’t know...we’re doing everything we can...”
“It’s not enough,” Ophelia murmured, tears rolling down her cheeks “If they’re not caught then it’s not enough. Please, we have to know what did this otherwise it’s just going to keep happening.”

"Thank you," Ophelia murmured to Lissa before turning her attention to the teachers once again.
"So what now?" Ophelia asked them "What happens now?"
"Now we send a letter to your family informing them of what's happened and we do our best to wake your sister." the professor replied.
"No! Please, no, Professor. My father wouldn't understand what's happening, he'd get scared and pull me out of school. He's a muggle, he doesn't understand these things. Don't send him a letter. I've always been the one who's looked after Pipes and I won't stop now."
"Well...alright..." the professor grumbled "but if she isn't better within a few weeks we have to send a letter, it's the law."
Ophelia nodded and turned her gaze to the little mirror, picking it up and turning it between her fingers. She and Lissa were going to figure this out.

ROLEPLAY - Lissa guided Lia over to a seat next to the bed so she could be close to Piper for a bit. "I'll be back soon." She said gently, squeezing her shoulders. Lissa hurried out of the medical wing, despite being tempted to turn into her animgus form, she restrained herself. She wasn't thinking quite rationally at the moment, and she didn't want to risk any other students seeing her. She went down to the Slytherin commons and collected a small amount of candy, a chocolate frog and some bertie bots. She left quickly, avoiding eye contact with any other students. She dropped by the kitchens for a short time to get some sandwiches made before returning to the hospital wing.
"Hey." She said gently, moving to sit down next to Lia. "I got you a sandwich."-

Ophelia watched as Lissa left, a bit confused as to why she'd dashed off. But still she sat there as the teachers left her in peace with Piper. She couldn't believe this had happened. Piper wasn't dead, but at this point there was very little distinction if she wasn't going to be getting better any time soon.
She placed her hand on her sister's and turned the mirror around in the other hand, putting it down when Lissa arrived and offered her food.
"Thank you," Lia smiled as she took the food "I appreciate that. And thank you for statying with me. We're going to figure this out, we have to. If my father finds out about these he'll think Pipes and I are in danger and pull us out of school. I mean, we might very well be in danger, but that's besides the point. I just want Piper to be okay. She's such a sweet girl and I have to know who did this to her. It isn't right that people get to just run around like this and cause harm to others. The professors say they're doing something about it but I'm not sure they are. They just want to prevent a panic because the school will close if everybody freaks out."
