ROLEPLAY - Lissa slipped slightly closer to Ophelia. "He's funny." She said simply. "He thinks that he's smart enough to manipulate me to his side just because he has a smooth voice and preeches about how good pure-bloods are?" She shook her head. "I may have been raised in a pure-blood family spanning generations, but I was raised in a muggle community, with muggle friends and in a muggle school. Sure, they were cruel because of my race but they were so human. They got by without magic. If anything, muggles and muggle-borns are better than pure-bloods because they know how to work the world without magic."
Lissa ducked her head. "Sorry. Relationships with muggles is really important to me. I want to go into the ministry to hopefully help with muggle relationships."
She nodded at Ophelia and gave her a smile, leading the way back with a slight bounce in her step. The day was a little unorthadox, sure, but spending time with Ophelia was great.-

"Yeah, he does think that," Ophelia replied "Because he's done it before. Be careful. The ones who think he'll never convince them are the ones who end up on his side. He likes principled people. Just avoid him as much as possible and you'll be fine. But yeah, I agree with you. Muggle relations are important. Of course, they did try and hunt down and kill those with magical blood hundreds of years ago but people fear what they don't understand. Which is why I think the Statute of Secrecy is bogus. It stops us from understanding one another. I think it's admirable, what you want to do. I want to be a Professor here some day. I think it would be amazing."
She followed Lissa over to the blanket as she spoke, and settled down to sit beside her. She rooted in the picnic basket to try and see what was left after Blake had been in there. The answer was not a whole lot.

Ophelia smiled, pulling out another chocolate frog "Okay, sure. Why not? I probably won't be as fast as you but it'll be fun anyway. I bet it's amazing to be able to fly without a broom."
She could only imagine the feeling. She felt intense freedom from flying on her broom, but if she was an animagus and had a bird as her form, she could only imagine that freedom intensifying. Not relying on anything but herself to be able to fly. And the speeds she would be able to reach! A broom wouldn't compare.

ROLEPLAY - Lissa grinned at her. "I may slow down just a bit, but only for you." She sat up, quickly. "I didn't really learn how to fly a broom. When we did flying lessons back at my old school I was already an animagus so there was no point in me learning. I still had to do the drills and the control and the formation flying though." She glanced up in the sky. "I can kinda do it, but I'll bet you'll beat me on that front."
She stretched her arms over her head and yawned widely. "How are your classes going? Professor Dumbledore is very interested in me being an amigus and has asked me to appear in class to see if the others can figure out the difference between a real animal and an animgus. It's going to be with the first year transfiguation classes." -

Ophelia laughed "Much appreciated, I'm sure. This will be fun. If you want, I can show you how to fly a broom? I know you don't need to, but if you would find it fun I could totally do it."
At the question about her classes, Ophelia shrugged.
"They're going pretty good, I daresay. Professor Dippet seems to like me, and it's always good to have the headteacher on your side. I like Professor Dumbledore's classes, though, and he seems nice. He keeps an eye on Riddle, too, which is quite comforting. It's great that he wants you to appear in front of the class. The teachers sometimes ask me to give them a hand sorting out their classrooms after classes, which can be quite fun unless the classroom is an absolute mess. Tom Riddle's friends always make the biggest messes in their classrooms."

ROLEPLAY - "I know. I've seen them." Lisa shook her head and rubbed at her chin thoughtfully. "I wonder, if a little birdy got into their dorm and started messing with their stuff if they would stop it." Lissa's eyes were alight with mischief. She clearly didn't have any self preservation considering how she had spoken to Riddle before. "Or if that birdy perhaps stole a wand that she mistakenly took for her owner's ... then maybe all the hexing around the study hall would stop...?" -

Ophelia smiled "It's a wonderful idea, truly, but surely it's a bit dangerous? What if you're caught? You could be hurt, or worse. I mean, what if he recognises it's you? He'll hate you now. It would be great to see Riddle and his friends wandless, but I'm not sure if it's worth risking your health for. Riddle can be...brutal... if you're not careful."
Ophelia had doubts about letting Lissa do this. She didn't want to see her hurt, and who knew what Riddle would do if he caught her? No, she didn't think it was a good idea at all.

ROLEPLAY - Lissa waved a little. "I'll be fine." She said simply. "If Riddle does catch me I'll just turn back. He's sadistic but he wouldn't kill another student." She shrugged. "And He's gotta catch me, first." Lissa tilted her head slightly, thinking. "The worst he could do without killing me as a bird outright would be to break my wings, and if the school finds out that Riddle hurt a poor, younger student who was playing an innocent trap - what do you think would happen to him then?" Lissa made a face. "He's probably talk his way out of it, I'll bet." -

"He would talk his way out of it and somehow make ot your fault too - he's very good at doing that. I still really don't think it's a good idea, but if you're really sure you want to do if I don't suppose I can stop you. But I want to help. Is there anything I could do to help you? I could happen to be lingering in the area of the Slyherin Common Rooms and when Riddle head to go to bed I suppose I could distract him a little to give you more time if you need it."
Ophelia was determined that if her friend was going to do this, she was going to help her. There was just no way she was doing it along when Riddle could catch her st any moment. A little bit of a distraction couldn't hurt and it would certainly help Lissa with her little plan. Because, after all, if you can't beat 'em...

ROLEPLAY - Lissa hummed and then moved to lay her head on Ophelia's lap, sending her a bright, cheeky grin. "I'm a Slytherin for a reason," She grinned. "I wanna do this. Try and expose the snake." She frowned a little, thinking on it. "If you really want to help I don't want you to get in trouble by hanging around the Slytherin commons, considering it's in the dungeons." She sighed, blinking up at Ophelia.
"Maybe I could follow them when they're on the grounds for a little while, so I'm in a more open space if they catch me?" -

Ophelia couldn't help but smile and let out a little chuckle when Lissa started grinning up at her with her head on her lap.
"Oh, don't worry about me. I'll be just fine, they won't catch me. It's a distance away from Ravenclaw tower, granted, but I promise I'll be fine. I can be just as stubborn as you and I'm not letting you do this on your own. So if you don't want me outside the common rooms then you ought to tell me what you would like me to do. I'm going to help and there's nothing you can do about it." She said, grinning in return
She utterly refused to allow Lissa to do this without any help, it was far too dangerous. She would find something to do, whether Lisss liked it or not.

ROLEPLAY - Lissa ummed thoughtfully, and her cheeks darkened slightly. "Fffinee..." She sighed, but she was smiling. "First thing we should do is see if we can find a place that Riddle and his friends go to on the grounds or in the castle that isn't the common rooms. She frowned. "Would they go to Hogsmeade?"
Hogsmeade was a good place to go for a date-not-date. Apparently, they had really good butterbeer and a sweet shop as well? Even if Riddle's gang didn't go there, it would be nice to go with Ophelia. -

“Yes, I do believe they do go there quite often. They like to frequent the joke shop, I think,” Ophelia responded with a nod
She was so happy to get to help Lissa, she’d been worried the other girl would refuse her. She liked spending time with Lissa a lot and she didn’t want to stop now. And if she got to irritate Tom Riddle in the process then that would be good. And who knew, maybe they would find out if Tom Riddle was up to anything while they did all of this.
Aand Hogsmeade would be great fun to go to. They could get some sweets or butterbeer whole they waited. Riddle liked to spend a while in the joke shop, probably to get things to annoy people with.

ROLEPLAY - Lissa dove past Ophelia and flapped her wings as she took off ahead of her. She flew upwards sharply suddenly, turned human and shouted, "Race you around the castle!" She called, falling several feet as she did before shifting back to a bird, taking off without waiting for Ophelia to reply, letting out a screech as she did so. Lissa had been right in saying that the perigrine falcon was one of the fastest birds on the earth, but she hadn't really ever had the chance to race someone on a broom. -

Ophelia was in her Quidditch kit, whizzing around on her broom. It was amazing watching Lissa fly, she couldn’t stop watching the little bird soaring around in front of her, going speeds she knew she’d struggle to match.
At Lissa’s challenge, Ophelia grinned.
“Challenge accepted!” the girl laughed as she leaned forward on her broom, feeling her speed increasing as she accelerated. She probably wouldn’t beat her friend but it would be great fun.
Her long black hair whipped behind her, though she found herself wishing she’d tied it up. It was going to get tangled flying at these speeds and she’d look a mess. But it was fine, she was having too much fun to really care

ROLEPLAY - Lissa did a loop up ahead, circling around Ophelia quickly before diving ahead, speading head once again. She flew upwards and around the astronamy tower before flying towards the finishing line, shifting to human as she landed underneath the tree near the lake. Her hair was sitting perfect in her head, but there were all sorts of feathers sticking out of it. She was grinning so wide that her cheeks were hurting. She hadn't really had the chance to fly like that since she left home, and it was exilerating. It was going to get harder to fly when it started getting colder.
She had considered asking if Ophelia wanted to come home with her for the winter holidays. Maybe they could go diving together? Nothing was more lovely than the reefs on the coast ... well, except for Ophelia but Lissa wouldn't admit that aloud. -

Ophelia landed at the finishing line moments later, laughing as she climbed off her broom. It had been so exhilarating flying around the castle, feeling the speed of the broom as she dipped and dived.
“You win,” she smiled “but I’ll beat you one of these days.”
It was at this moment she remembered that her hair must be a mess - she put a hand to it and felt that it was, indeed, tangled and windswept. She smoothed it down until it looked presentable - she would hate not to look her best in front of Lissa - before leaning forward to pull a feather out of the other girl’s hair, chuckling as she did.
“That was so much fun,” Ophelia said “I love flying with you.”

ROLEPLAY - "I bet you will." Lissa grinned, stepping over towards her, reaching up to fix up her hair, eyes focused for a moment before she grinned again. "Beautiful." She said simply, her wide grin returning at Ophelia's words, cheeks burning. "I love flying with you too." She responded. "It's great to be able to fly again properly." She rolled her shoulders, rocking on her feet. "Would you like to come back home with me for the holidays? We can go diving and I can show you the reef near where I used to live?" She rocked side to side as she spoke, her eyes gleaming at the thought of being able to dive again. "I can teach you the spells that I use when I do it."-

The compliment from Lissa made Ophelia’s own cheeks burn as she smiled. She said a smal thank you in response before the topic of conversation changed. He question from Lissa was so abrupt that Ophelia suspected it had been playing on her mind for quite some time. Ophelia’s small smile grew into a grin.
“That would be just amazing, if your family is alright with it. My dad will be, I just have to send a letter to him and there should be no worries. He’d prprobably be happy to have some peace in the house. Piper’s enough of a handful on her own so he’d probably like having one less child to deal with. Oh, this will be so much fun.”
This was such an exciting idea. She’d been thinking of you inviting Lissa home with her but her father might have a heart attack having three witches in the house. He couldn’t deal with Ophelia and Piper’s accidental displays of magic as children and he would probably be scared having any more magical folk around. So she’d decided that this probably wasn’t the best option.
