Iceclaw --> Doveheart { brambleflight } || Entrance of Camp
Unluckily enough, Iceclaw had momentarily looked away from his hunting partner, losing the focus he needed to read her lips as he made his way towards the camp entrance with her. By the time he looked back towards Doveheart, he just vaguely saw her mouth moving with a question that he could hardly catch.
This ended up with the tom giving his friend (at least, he saw her as a friend) a puzzled look, tipping his head to the side. "Sorry. Can you repeat that." He hadn't meant to ignore what she was saying, but looking away effectively meant tuning out a conversation, at least in this situation.

It would have to be after his current apprentice is a warrior, but I could see Beecloud being a good mentor for Tansy, if Ross is okay with it.

Violetkit hadn't really stopped her brother from fighting because she didn't want to be caught in the middle of it. "Yeah Mosskit it's not nice to talk down to other especially our brother." Violetkit chirped in trying to help out. She could be a bit of a know it all but she loves her brothers, although she got up from her spot in the nest and padded up to Tansykit. "It's okay Tansykit, Mosskit is just being a jerk." Her mew was soft as she tried to comfort her brother. |

Tansykit looked past his hiding spot behind Rueberry, practically sticking to his mother, looking at Violetkit. He offered his sister a small smile. “D-don’t say that...I did overreact,” Tanaykit tried to defend, glancing back at the prey that had fallen on him. “I just wanted to prove I was brave too...and bring mommy back a snack, she seemed so tired...” he explained quietly, loud enough for the rest of his family to hear, but not any of the bystanders, he still felt uncomfortable with all that attention he had caused, and this was not the same kind of attention where everyone was watching him in awe, but the kind where they were judging him for acting like this, and wondering how this family functioned.
Tansykit sat down, letting out a long, drawn out sigh, wrapping his tail around his paws, now they were making a scene...a scene that he caused, and Tansykit just wanted it all to stop.

Violetkit turned her head and looked at Tansykit with a frustrated and Determined expression, "Would you like to play a game?" She suggested her tone hopeful and her expression turned to bright and cherry. She plopped down next to Tansykit and wrapped her tail around his back for a quick moment before starting to sway it. "Mosskit can still be a jerk sometimes, He pulled my tail last night when I was trying to go to bed!" She exclaimed narrowing his eyes at him in a playful manner, but she had fun rough housing with Mosskit. |

Truth be told, Iceclaw had picked up on her annoyance. That slight twitch of the ears, betraying her frustration with having to repeat herself. It was a motion that he picked up from his peers on a frequent basis. Any lapse in attention led him to have to request for another explanation, and it obviously wore on his clanmates.
Iceclaw understood that frustration, and offered a quick blink of apology to the fiery warrior.
"I found it toward the far end of the territory," He explained before he added, "The field is east of here, next to a pond. It has ducks that swim in it, as well as rabbits and mice." He described the area, hoping that Doveheart knew where he was talking about. He had paid a few visits to the area since he discovered it, so he was starting to become familiar with the habits of the animals in that area.

Mosskit had turned into a big fluff ball at this point. They all ganged up on him when all he was trying to do was protect their image and make his brother stronger. He wanted them to bring their parents honor, not disgrace them by being someone their parents had to care for well into adulthood. That's not how it was meant to be. He was just an angry ball of fluff at this point and he basically spit when he replied to Violetkit about her comment, "I did not start that! I do not play those games like a freshly born kit! I pulled your tail because you stepped on me." His lips were pulled back and he was obviously not happy.
Then his ear flicked. He had just registered his father's words. They had to take care of the weaker cats because they would always be weaker. He would always be stronger than them. It's just how it was to be. If he was the strongest... then maybe... Maybe if he wound up being the strongest and most respected of all, he could bring his parents honor no matter what his siblings did... by becoming leader himself.
It looked to the outside world while he was thinking about this, that the giant fluff ball had calmed, but frozen. He hadn't moved and had barely breathed while the thoughts rushed through his mind. Once they left, his fur had lain back down and he had sat down, wrapping his tail around his paws. He turned to Thistleshine and his eyes connected with him. The need to make him proud pouring out of his gaze. His father and mother would be proud. No matter how his siblings wound up. He would do it. He would do it to bring honor to them.
But first, he had to accept his siblings were to be nothing like him. They were smaller, weaker, and more clumsy. Tansykit was too small to ever amount to anything large and Violetkit was too amicable to stand up for what she truly believed in, even if it was right, to avoid hurting others. He would have to protect them and lead them as best he could. Mosskit looked over to his mother and other siblings. He would protect all three of them with his father. They would be the strongest and the providers for their family.
"Yes sir, Papa. I'm sorry." He dipped his head towards Thistleshine. "I still believe he's too babied to ever get far enough. I just don't want him to wind up hurt because he doesn't know how to do anything on his own."

The tall silver tabby strode forward, placing a lick on Mosskit's head. He didn't think that his biggest son was particularly cruel or mean, he was just young. He didn't have the tact that an older cat might have, and that was okay. That's what he, Rueberry, and Mosskit's eventual mentor were there for.
"I appreciate your apology, Mosskit, but I'm not the one you should apologize to, remember?" His eyes were soft when he looked down to the fluffy little tom. "Every cat grows in their own time, and just because it's taking longer for Tansykit to catch up with you and Violetkit doesn't mean he won't ever catch up," He advised, before adding. "Being harsh to your brother and mother won't make him grow any faster." His words were quiet, meant only for his biggest son, before he gave a small nod in the direction of his mate and his other two kits. "Why don't you show me how mature of a warrior you are, and go apologize to your mama and your littermates?" He requested.
He tried to make it clear that he wasn't angry with Mosskit. Every kit wanted to be a big, tough warrior after all.
