Exactly, I actually find it easier to roleplay guys.

Ikr? I had a lot of fun figuring out the relationships in the clan.
That being said, if anyone wanted anything changed, I’d change stuff around, but I’m hoping that’s not too much of an issue.

(I know the feeling; I used to always take it upon myself to roleplay male characters because of the over saturation of female ones... It was a good experience, that's for sure! I'm pretty content with how things are now; I hope we get someone for Goldenberry because oml do she and Fernleaf sound cute.)

(I'm down to roleplay! I've been balancing some housework and posting, so I might have some gaps between posts!)
Fernleaf sauntered lightly out of the warrior's den and did a lengthy stretch; her forelegs were laid out in front of her, claws out as they pulled all the muscles in her shoulders and brought infinite relief to her stiff night of sleep. Her stomach growled, pleading for breakfast, and she twitched her nose as she brought her body back to it's normal position. She swiftly padded over to the fresh-kill pile, hoping for something good.

Swanstar padded out of her den on small, quick paws. She stopped just outside, looking around. She was still knew to being the leader, having only been it for a little over a moon. She still had her doubts about it all, but if StarClan thought she was right for the job, she would put her faith in them. Exhaling, she continued on throughout the camp, spotting Fernleaf not too far off. “Fernleaf!” She called out to her. “Would you like to lead a hunting patrol today? You can pick who you take,” she said, feeling a little awkward ordering her fellow clan mate around. But they would need a hunting patrol to leave soon.

Fernleaf scowled at the freshkill pile, prodding lightly at some of the unlucky prey victims. If she really squinted, she could say that it looked okay. Okay, not even then; it was a pretty pathetic pile and was definitely not enough to feed the clan. She sighed, finally settling on a mouse that hardly fit the title of 'freshkill'. She didn't get the chance to pick it out however, as she swiveled her head to the cat that had called out her name. "Swanstar!" she mewed in greeting. She quickly stood with her tail raised high in welcome. Her demeanor shifted a little bit when asked to lead the patrol for hunting, "I.. I've never really lead a patrol before," she quavered, "But I'll give it a shot! We are running a little... no we're running very low on freshkill." She shifted her weight on her front paws before hesitantly asking "Who would you recommend?"

Also, I’d say include people who aren’t taken and just kinda, reference them is good enough.

Swanstar blinked, right, she was supposed to have some sort of opinion on who went on hunting patrols. “Well, you could take...” she paused as she looked around the camp, choosing the first few warriors that she saw. “Tigertail, and uh...Owlcall, and maybe one of the apprentices,” Swanstar decided, looking back to Fernleaf. “Sound good?” She questioned, glad that there hadn’t really been any resistance. She knew some of the clan had not been happy with her leadership. It had been a struggle, this past moon.

Fernleaf puffed out her chest and beamed up at her leader, "That sounds good; I'll go grab them now!" It was no secret that Swanstar was having a rocky start to her leadership; she could be nervous and unsure, especially when addressing and commanding the rest of her clanmates. This didn't perturb Fernleaf, as she had faith that the new leader would gain her footing eventually and with gained experienced. She dipped her head in farewell and bounded off to find the warriors she mentioned.
She approached Tigertail in good spirits. "Tigertail, I need you on a hunting patrol; let me know when you're ready to head out," she informed him, "I'm going to gather Owlcall and Leopardpaw real quick and I'll be ready to go."

Tigertail, who had been in the middle of grooming himself, paw up to his face as he gave it a lick, paused midway through when Fernleaf came up to him. He stayed like that for a moment before sticking his tongue back in his mouth and lowering his paw. “Right, I’m ready,” he decided, jumping to his feet as he flicked his long, striped tail, giving the fur on his chest one last lick before deciding that would just have to be good enough and looked back to Fernleaf.

(What is the territory like; forest, field? I'm sure there's an important stream somewhere.  This is my last post before bed though; have a good night! Peace!) Fernleaf had managed to coral Owlcall and her apprentice with relative ease -- perhaps her apprentice could have used a couple more moments of sleep, but that wasn't her concern. The small tortoiseshell joined Tigertail again and made a motion to exit the camp. She leaned toward Tigertail and mumbled with a slight twinkle in her eye, "I don't have a clue where we're gonna go to hunt, so I hope you're ready for probable chaos." With that comment, she yowled for the patrol to follow her and bounded out of the camp. |

Anyways, here’s that reply for Tigertail.
Also, I’m gonna go ahead and change the season to New Leaf, so they just barely got out of Leaf Bare, which would make more sense for the green cough and stuff.

Tigertail let out a purr of amusement. “I’d suggest back by the hills, there’s usually lots of prey around there,” he told her quietly, figuring he could at least help her out a little as he bounded on after the others. Was it likely to still be chaos? Yes but the least he could do was help out a little. StarClan knew this clan needed as much help as they could get after everything they had been through with that horrible green cough.
