Kestrelcall felt his eyes narrow. He was glad to see that Sandstar wanted to provide for her Clan just as any good leader would, but there was no sense in dragging yourself out of you could barely stay awake. So many things could wrong when a cat wasn't fully alert and outside of the camp's shelter. He would be going against his leader, but he felt that in a situation like this it was needed.
The tom shook his head. "You can barely keep your eyes open. Go get some rest." Kestrelcall was sure any warrior would speak out about that, Sandstar being their leader or not. A cat needed to be alert when outside of camp, and Sandstar looked anything but alert right now.

Blizzardclaw padded out into the clearing, ears perking as he heard the conversation near the fresh-kill pile. "Kestrelcall's right, Sandstar." he said, padding over. "You should take a break."
Sandstar sighed. "Fine." she mewed. She padded back towards her den, yawning, tail twitching.

I'm better now on the subject of my dog.
I have a fever and am throwing up a lot today and dealing with a lot of fatigue.
I'm sorry I haven't been available and I know I should do better on that front... it's just a bit hard.
I'm going to TRY to be on today, if not today then tomorrow, so if I need to reply to ANYTHING can someone please quote it for me because I'm not sure what I need to reply to and if I'm missing something or someone and I don't want to keep anyone frozen.
On the subject of nominating a cat for a leadership position - I don't really know what to do.
Beetle is a sweet heart but I don't think anyone would really respect him. But he is getting somewhat close to Rowan with how we are doing the fox battle and they will be closer for surviving it together and I think that would give him cause to name Rowan the deputy? Because he respects him whole heartedly? And he's had an apprentice - Firepaw. Which is what was a requirement to become a deputy in the books.
But then I have Mr. Crowspot who is competitive and a strong, caring boy. Also Sandstar is his sister, giving him cause to want to get revenge on Marsh even more so. He loves the clan and does menial tasks to make sure everyone is happy and safe and he is constantly going out on hunts to bring back prey. He's also very attentive to fixing damage on the dens and replacing moss because he's a big strong boy who can do a lot because of his constitution. He's young so I'm unsure if he's had an apprentice but he is going to GET one soon... so I dunno if that counts.
So I'm unsure who to pick in that regard... If anyone wants to help me decide? ;w; <

"she only made him deputy because he's her mate!1!"
and when Rowan becomes leader, imagine him appointing Toadkit as deputy
"WHAT IS THIS?! A ROWAN AND ALDER LEADERSHIP CULT NOW?!" [AN ERA OF FAMILY GREATNESS. Toad appoints Sweet as his deputy whenever he becomes leader, and the clans heads effectively explode because the three siblings are now leader, deputy, AND medicine cat.] [In all seriousness though I nominate Dewfoot.] |

The voice of another cat caught Kestrelcall's attention. He turned on his paws, blue eyes flashing in recognition as he spotted Blizzardclaw. He dipped his head to the white and black warrior. "Hello, Blizzardclaw." He admired the larger warrior, thought of him as very responsible and respectable. There was a deeper thought in Kestrelcall's mind as he eyed the other tom, but the thought was something he could suppress easily enough. He found Blizzardclaw to be mildly attractive, but nothing could compare to Dewfoot in Kestrelcall's opinion.
Shaking away the thought, Kestrelcall brought himself back into the present. He was glad to see that Blizzardclaw agreed. He was also glad to see that Sandstar was realizing how important a nap for her would be instead of patrolling.
"Thank you, Blizzardclaw," Kestrelcall mewed.

If anyone wants to help me decide? ;w; < oo the pros and cons of these babies-- hm. i think it'd be cool to see Beetle work hard to gain respect in the clan and respect his leadership, but then again, since he is an overthinker, but i really love the thought of him relying on rowan, and rowan urging him to make big decisions by himself, but with the overthinking characteristic it would cause him to always doubt his leadership and his decisions.
now, Crow on the other hand, the only major con pointed out was the apprenticeship, but I think by the time this all plays out, feather will be in the nursery and he'll have Sweetkit to mentor (right??)
basically, (if Crowspot ends up being our winner) Amber can announce him the new leader, and say he will mentor one of the kits to come
this though, has another con. cat's will think hes too young and inexperienced, causing disrespect with him as well.
but, if i'm honest, the best bet might be Crow?? Or beetle?? Omg. They both have potential and i love the different ways the leaderships could go
