(That's alright. Do you want to try a different plot, or do you think your muse will come back eventually? If so, no rush. If not, that's alright too... I would just hate to be eternally waiting to continue a dead rp lmao.)

i don't think the muse for this plot'll come back, but i'd be down for doing another rp if it's interesting enough?

that always happens to me when i'm super hyped haha
hmm....almost all of my interest atm is focused on taz / the adventure zone bc i'm weak for it and i'm only halfway through and just. god i love it so much
the closest thing would be set in a dndlike world, really...or lots of fantasy and such

lmao normally I get bored of rps super quickly. It's always the ones that I don't when the other person loses their muse XD but no worries. A fantasy setting sounds fine to me.

same
hmm maybe something thats less serious (still pretty serious sometimes though!) but with lots of wiggle room? hmmm

Pretty vague, but yeah. I prefer it when it's not doom & gloom, fate of the world stuff anyways. Not entirely sure what you mean by wiggle room, though... fantasy is what you make of it, so really there's always some "wiggle room" lol.

i mean um something that we don't structure too much so we always know what'll happen? instead of being put into a corner, just....let it go where it goes if that makes sense? wiggle room in that idea, not in a 'it's fantasy' thing

Ah, yeah, sure. Do you have anything in mind?
Sorry I waan't on yesterday, I worked and then went to my dad's house for the entire afternoon to teach my 7-year-old brother how to play Yu-Gi-Oh lmao.

Heheheh yeah, all things considered it didn't go horribly considering how complicated the game is and how short his attention span is XD it was funny cuz when he started losing (I went real easy on him but there was a point I just needed to end the game) he started trying to make up rules. In a silly way, not a throwing play mats and a hissy fit way.
But anyways. For the new plot. Eh.... do you have any idea what kind of fantasy you'd want to do? We could go back to the thing we had been talking about before as the basis, with the shopkeeper. Or we could come up with something entirely new. Or do a completely different setting, or concept, or both.

fun!!
something with a lot of different races?? humans, elves, dwarves, etc, all that stuff -maybe siblings having to rely on eachother for some reason and they're Super Close and they come as sort of like. a package deal for any employer and either that makes it hard for them to get jobs & they end up as sorta security for a shipment and something happens -i do like the siblings idea for anything tbh it's a nice dynamic -Weird Magic Stuff is happening in this one town, one person is sent to check out wtf is happening and ends up being helped by a resident who seems to be the only one also questioning it -hmmmm im eh on the shopkeeper one now

Hmmm yeah maybe. If we wanted to do two characters each... maybe somehow or another they get separated in a shipwreck, or an attack on a caravan, or something? And for whatever reason they end up sort of trapped wherever they get to and there could be some kind of shady stuff going on that makes it difficult to get back to each other. They both manage to find That One Person who actually wants to help them? Idk lmao. I suppose the one problem with this idea, though, is that that puts them separated for most of it and thus there's not a lot of actual sibling interaction. Hm. Still, it's a thought.

im ehh on the separation thing?? sibling interaction would just be. gr8 but not something super outlandish. something you'd expect from a world like it- siblings stickin together, doing what they can, and even with strange magic happenings in the other idea it wouldnt be absolutely insane

Post by Aphelyon on Oct 23, 2017 18:10:45 GMT -5
Yeah I'm fine with siblings I'm just trying to think of a situation. Doesn't have to be anythin crazy, I just feel like they need to be doing something, have something to work for. Even if they never actually succeed, having some kind of goal for them to passively work for will give things a direction even if subplots get scarce.

maybe they just want to have a job thatll keep them in one place for a long time, something long term instead of doing whatever will accept them like security jobs or short term jobs, etc
or some kind of quest, even if it's a bit outlandish?? not where theyre totally alone but...they're the only ones who can do something and this group sends them out to do it and they do it for just. how much money theyll get

Yeah or maybe something personal that keeps them moving around? That way it could be like. If we start to get bored with the way things are going... oops something happens to further that plot and they have to leave again. So even if they never achieve their goal and there's no set path for them to follow, we can still use it as a way to get OUT of other plots that have gotten boring.

hmm...maybe they like change?? or theyve lived with it for so long that it's weird to not change stuff like places, jobs, etc
adopted sibs. or the family is what u make of it trope. good platonic healthy relationships are my jam

Post by Aphelyon on Oct 23, 2017 18:30:34 GMT -5
Hm yeah adopted siblings could work. Hm. Maybe they're trying to figure out where the adopted one came from? Or maybe they're both orphans and want to know who they really are. Another idea I kind of had was like if it's a more superstitious world and one or both has magic or something like that, then they might stay somewhere for a while but eventually get "discovered" and have to flee. Though magic wouldn't work as well for that in a high fantasy setting, since it would probably be fairly common. But I guess they could maybe have some other kind of negative "malady" like... vampirism, or some kind of made up non-terminal disease or something idk. I'm just throwing out ideas lmao

something open ended like needing to change and not stay in one spot or wanderlust or something but stuff like that could be smaller plots
|
|
|
Post by Aphelyon on Oct 23, 2017 18:39:12 GMT -5
Yeah though I feel as though just wanderlust doesn't really give a lot of actual direction. It's more of a personality trait than a plot point, I guess. So not that that shouldn't be a thing, I just feel like they need something a little more to keep them going. Like I said, it doesn't have to be anything real dramatic... just something that might occasionally force them onward if needed, I suppose.

perhaps trouble always seems to follow them & something always goes wrong so they gotta move on & they're trying to figure out why?

Like a curse or something that just gives them really bad luck? Or at least just makes it so they can't find peace, at least not for long.
|
|
|
Post by ♕ - ᴠɪʀɢɪʟ on Oct 24, 2017 16:27:02 GMT -5
or this one person / group that has it out for them but they have no idea that its a person / group, it always seems like such bad luck
hmmmm perhaps there's some vague prophecy abt them and this one group was alarmed so they make sure to keep them moving but it doesnt need to be expanded upon until we're ready
|
|
|
Post by Aphelyon on Oct 24, 2017 16:34:18 GMT -5
Hm. I think a curse could be cool but a prophecy and group could be cool. Of course, the two ideas don't have to be mutually exclusive, they could go hand in hand... especially since sometimes prophecies may seem like curses anyhow.

Post by ♕ - ᴠɪʀɢɪʟ on Oct 24, 2017 16:46:35 GMT -5
shrugs i mean, a prophecy that causes concern for the group like the two will, in some way, end up causing the termination of that group somehow or help someone they don't particularly like so they try to make sure that the siblings arent able to do it
|
|
|
Post by Aphelyon on Oct 24, 2017 17:05:01 GMT -5
Yeah I gotcha. Like the whole Voldemort paradox lmao. Like I said, it's definitely not a bad idea. It would just depend, I guess, more on the nature of the prophecy and the group.

shrugs we could develop it as we go, find something that could actually drive them. start with smaller plots for now.
