"Becca!" She looked up surprised. "Please deliver this to class room 302. It's for the teacher meeting later. Forgot to give it to him at lunch." Becca stood up. "Y-Yes sir!" She pushed up her glasses as her class mates whispered. She took the note and headed to Sam's class. Sam finished his workbook assignment and excused himself to head to the restroom. Upon closing the door and turning the corner, he walked right into Becca. "Oh, I'm sorry. My bad," he apologized, looking into her eyes as they both looked up. He hadn't meant to run into her and his apology was sweet and sincere. His eyes shined as he looked down at her, cracking a small smile.

[ Totally blind or as the expression goes "blind as a bat" as in nearsighted? ]
Sam smiled and helped her up. "Were you coming to give something to my teacher?" He asked, noticing the note in her hand. His classroom was the only one at the end of this hallway and she wasn't in class with him, which was the only logical explanation unless her locker was over here. He looked at her expectantly with a kind smile.

[ Should she like have a publicist like Miley did who comes and picked her up Thurs & Fri from classes that way she can travel to wherever her shows are? Thinking that since it's the Fall part of the semester her shows are only a few cities or two states away until the winter/spring where they're on the East Coast or in LA. The summer she's in Europe and Asia. ]
Sam nodded with a chuckle of his own and purposely ran into her on the way back. "I'm Sam, by the way," he chuckled, this now a cute game to him with running into her a second time, even if the first time it was mutual fault.

"At least agree to have lunch with me today in the courtyard," Sam tried to get her to stay, putting his hand on her shoulder she pushed past him. He smiled, trying to get her to agree.

"You don't talk much do you?" Sam chuckled, giving her a reassuring smile.

"I'm scaring you, sorry. Uh, see you later," Sam replied, turning the corner and heading back to his chemistry class. He hoped he'd still see Becca at lunch.

"Oh, I can do that for you, since I'm heading back," he smiled. "Will I still see you at lunch?" He asked, looking her up and down. There was something familiar about her but he couldn't quite put his finger on it. He mentally shrugged off the thought. Hopefully he'd get to spend some time with her at lunch. She was cute and despite not being much of a talker, he was interested in getting to know her.

He gently took the note from her extended hand and still holding his grin, he walked away.
Several hours later, Sam was making his way out of the breezeway (outdoor hallway) from the stairs and out into the courtyard where many picnic tables lined the grass. Palm trees and benches overlooked the shore beyond. Some students were playing volleyball on the sand while others chatted with their friends and lunches in their laps. Sam found a secluded table with a palm for shade and put his bad beside him on the seat. He unzipped the top and pulled out his black stitched lunchbox. He pulled out his ham and cheese sandwich, a thermos with water inside, some Doritos and a bag of green grapes. He took out his sandwich from its Ziploc and took a bite. He savored it while looking around for Becca.

Sam had become engrossed in his sandwich and looking up, eyes shining when she approached. "Hey there, Becca. Please sit wherever you'd like," he replied, extending his hand to invite her to sit either in front of him or beside him in the open three seats left.

Sam kept his emotions hidden as he observed her lunchbox. I wonder who that is. He finished his sandwich and started on his grapes. "What did you bring for lunch? He continued the conversation even if it was just one-sided.

Samuel listened intently, casually eating his stem of grapes as he did so. She was a very interesting person for being so shy. "Oooh, a cupcake?" he chuckled. "What flavor is it?" He hoped he could get her to open up.

"Oh, you bake?" He asked, pausing from opening his bag of Doritos. They had something in common and he wondered what else there was about her that they shared.

Samuel blinked in surprise. "That's a shame you can't go, I hear her concerts are a blast," he commented, taking the tickets, observing the lanyard with the VIP pass attached. "Are you sure you want me to have them?" He asked, looking back up at her, searching her for a tell as to why she was giving them to him.

In his mind, he was slightly suspicious. One of these tickets alone was super expensive, much more than he made in three months of working. "Oh," he was taken aback at her reason. "Has no one else been nice to you?" His eyes flashing with concern. He always thought of this school having kind students, but maybe it was just because they were nice to him for being rather popular. It was a shame though. High school was brutal but that was no reason to not talk to this girl.

Sam nodded, his eyes flashing with sadness. "Well, are you sure that you can't go? I don't have anyone to go with,"
