Drake, never one to be quiet, decided it was going to have to be on him to keep on conversation. "So, if you help out with the set up, you're going to have to come to the dance."

"Alright, let's see you." Ash said. Once Chase came out, she gave him a casual once-over and shrugged. "Eh, I've seen better." She said with a joking grin. Actually, Chase did look nice shirtless, but there was no way she was admitting that.
"Nah, I'm good." She laughed and sent Drake a text back saying they would be by later today to help. "I don't want any of that." Drake was a mess in a lot of ways, and Ash was not into that.
"Right." She sent a quick text to Victoria to tell her that they were going to be there soon, and then followed after Chase.... even the running part.

"Uh... sir... we're leaving." Jace told the teacher awkwardly. "Halloween Dance and... yeah." He then gathered up his stuff and headed out of the classroom, tugging at his yellow beanie nervously.

"Sure you have," Chase said, sarcasm dripping in his voice. He threw her a wink and laughed as Linda shook her head when they ran by. Well, there went Chase's story about being sick.
Once he was out, he let himself into the car and unlocked the passenger side for Ash. "Should I start sending you kissy emojis?" he teased. He knew Ash didn't have any interest in him and he didn't have any in her. they were just friends.
"Lets go!" Chase said. He made his way to the beach and parked the car, spotting Victoria and Vincent down in the sand already. He frowned when he noticed he other boy looked better shirtless than he did. Tanner. Slightly more muscular. Besides that, the two looked almost disturbingly similar. Huh, hopefully they weren't like long lost quads that had been split up into two groups of twins. Chase and Arlo. Victoria and Vincent.

"You don't have to dance. Most people don't. Most people just talk and flirt." He said with a laugh. They reached the gym, and Drake opened the door to let her in first.

"I'm good without kissy emojis." Ash replied. She waved her hand goodbye at Linda, and then got into the car, excited to go to the beach.
Once they arrived, she grinned and climbed out. "Good luck with Victoria," she whispered to Chase and then headed across the beach with a smile. "Hey, Vincent!" She called and waved at Victoria, although her eyes were mostly on Vincent.
"Hi," Victoria smiled nervously, pulling her black hair over her shoulder while she played with it a little bit. She then looked at Chase and gave him a wave. "Hey, Chase."

(Jack just cleans up the whole house and has a vase of flowers and dinner made when Jace comes home XD)
Chase followed her out of the care, giving Vince a small nod and heading over to Victoria. "Hey," he said, a wide grin on his face. "Did you want to get some ice cream before we head out to the beach?" he asked her. That'd be good, right? Getttingn her away from Vincent and Ash. It'd give each pair time to flirt.
Vincent smiled when he saw Ash. "Hey, beautiful," he said, smiling when he saw her. Hey, why not start out strong and forward? It's not like he had anything to lose. Unless Ash thought he was a loser but Victoria and Chase started dating. Then he'd probably see a lot of Ash. His smile faltered for a second, but he quickly fixed it.
"If they're heading off for ice cream, we could head out into the water and see how it is. This is the best time for the beach, while everyone else is in school or at work," he pointed out. He looked over and gave Victoria a grin. This looked like it was going good so far.

About half of the gym had streamers and other decorations hung up, and there were a few tables set up. Boxes of directions were strewn randomly about. There was also a stage set up for a band. "We don't actually have enough money to pay for a band, so I'm trying to convince Jace to play."

Victoria smiled. "Yeah, that would be great." She said and glanced over at Ash and Vincent before realizing that, well, they were occupied and flirting great.
She started walking towards the ice cream shop, going over a million different things she could ask Chase about to get a conversation going. "Are you going to the Halloween Dance?"
Ash was a little surprised by how forward Vincent was, but she was fine with it. "Aww, beautiful? Thanks. I was going for gorgeous."
"I agree. No people clogging up the water." Ash laughed and pulled the t-shirt she had been wearing over her bikini top off, and then kicked off her shoes and shorts. "Ready?" She asked, running a hand through her wavy blonde hair.

(Heck yeah. Jack will be there waiting and Jace will wonder how Jack got into his house XD)
Chas walked side by side with Victoria, his hands in his pockets. "Uh, yeah, I'm planning on going. Are you and Vincent going? You two are twins, right? Are you going to do any costumes with that? Arlo and I are dressing up as the same thing. We always do."
Wow, he was not good at keeping his answers short. Maybe she would find that cute. Chase ran his fingers through his dark hair. "I'm probably just going to be floating around. Hanging out with Arlo. Hanging with Ash. I mean, if you're there, I'd definitely be up for hanging with you."
Wow... smooth, Chase.
"I wait till the second date to bring out gorgeous," Vince said, throwing a wink in Ash's direction. "Lets go," Vince said. He'd already taken his shirt and shoes off, but he had a towel wrapped around his waist. He let it fall until he was standing in his swim trunks.
"So, have a date for the dance yet?" he asked, offering her his hand as he made his way towards the water. He stepped in, shrieking like a little girl at the temperature.
"I, uh, wasn't expecting that cold," he said, stepping back in when he was more prepared. He grinned and smirked at Ash. "Be careful, its cold," he said, before reaching down and splashing her.

"But we could put you guys in costumes! No one would know but you, Jace, and myself... And probably Ash because she would wonder where Jace was." Drake said thoughtfully. He was getting ahead of himself. "You guys play for a night, just a couple songs, become high school legends, but no one ever really knows it's you!"

"Yeah, we're going. Not working off the twin thing, as far as I know." Victoria laughed. "I don't what I'm going as yet. What are you and Arlo going as?" Jeez, he was cute.
Victoria smiled at the idea of hanging out with Chase. "Oh, it would be awesome if we hung out. I would hang out with Vince, but I'm sure he'll be following Ash around all night." She said excitedly... Okay, maybe she was being a little strong.
Oh yes, Ash liked what Vince looked like. "I can't wait for that second date, then," she smirked at him. He truly was laying out on thick, when she was starting to kind of love.
"I don't. I don't suppose you have a date?" Ash smiled and took his hand. She knew the answer was no, but why not have a little fun?
At his shriek, she started laughing. "Where are you two from?" Ash asked. She squeaked a little when he splashed the water at her, but then she just stuck her tongue at him. "Ha! It's not that cold." She said and started into the water, trying to hold back any kind of squeal.
((Oh my gosh. XD Vincent was so smooth up until that scream.))

Then Mia can so everyone gets a chance to live with Jace. Except that'd be weird cause she's not Jack or Sophia.)
"That's a secret," Chase said, a playful look in his eyes. He and Arlo had dressed up together every year and kept it a secret until Halloween. It was a tradition. "Well, I would say go for a twin thing. It makes us stand out against the rest of the students."
Chase laughed. "He'll be like a lost puppy following her," he said, looking st the small outline of Vince and Ash in the water. "What do you want? I'll buy," he offered as they approached the ice cream stand. He ordered a chocolate cone and turned to Victoria.
"Not yet. That's what I wanted to ask you. I was going to hang out with my sister, but I might as well show up and steal the spotlight with the prettiest girl in school," he said. Yeah, he was being super cheesy now, but it was just part of his charm. He'd never met a girl that didn't enjoy the flattery.
"Alaska," Vincent said. "We're used to the cold, but not cold water," he said, kicking his feet around. "We actually moved here last year but we're home schooled for a year. It sucked so we started public school this year."
(Vincent is one of my favorite side characters. He's either a super smooth Romeo or an obnoxious little brother.This Vince is sort of a mix)

Mia moves in because she's tired of hearing about how great living with Jace is and wants to experience it.))
"Ooh, I guess I have to go, then. Otherwise I'll just lay awake in bed for the rest of my life thinking 'What did Chase dress up as for Halloween?'" Victoria was joking, obviously, and was hoping that Chase would also find it funny. She was actually started to feel a little more relaxed around him. "I think I'll pass on the twin thing. I like to stand out on my own." Which was a lie. Victoria flew under the radar.
Victoria shrugged. "I'm sure he won't mind." She laughed and then looked at the flavors. "Oh... umm. I'll take strawberry." She told the ice cream cone orderer... waiter... dude before looking back at Chase. "Thank you for paying. I'll pay next time." It was silly to expect him to pay every time... assuming there was a next time.
Ash laughed, but didn't answer him quite yet. "Is that so? Well I'm afraid to tell you that I think the prettiest girl in school might be this cheerleader named Jessica. Absolutely stunning." Yeah, Ash may have had a girl crush. What of it? She laughed again before replying to him. "I would say yes, but I do have a hundred other guys banging on my door, wanting to ask me to the dance." Which was a lie. There were zero.
"Alaska? That sounds like a cool place to live. I've always wanted to visit, but not live there all year long. Too much darkness, too much cold." Ash shook her head and moved farther into the water. She, at the very least, was starting to adjust to the cold.

Drake was excited, and then he frowned once more. "Sound stand? What's that? Is that not a stage? I have a stage." He said and gestured dramatically at the rather nice stage.
Jace peeked into the gym and then smiled when he saw Drake. He held the door open for Maeve to come in and waved at Drake, then noticed the other girl and got uncomfortable once more. Strangers. "Oh... uh... Drake, Maeve and I came to help but it... looks like you have help..."
Drake grinned when he saw Jace. "Perfect! Annabelle, this is Jace. Jace, this is Annabelle. You will be playing live music at the dance with Annabelle. We just have to get everything set up."
Drake then finger gunned at Maeve as a greeting.

Before Jace could even argue with Drake, he was being pushed towards Annabelle. "Alright," Drake started talking, "Annabelle, Jace, you get that stage set up for live music and bond and talk and make friends. Alright? Alright. Discuss what music to play, too."
"What?" Jace squeaked and then turned to Annabelle, blushing wildly, his eyes wide. "Umm... h-hello."
"Maeve!" Drake grinned and walked over to her. "Do you want to help me put up more streamers and, like, tablecloths? And I'm thinking... bubble machine."

"Obviously," Chase said. He laughed. "You see, Arlo and I always make a big show about our costumes and this year will be the best they've ever been," he said. Really , they were just sheets with eye holes thrown over the boys' heads, but that was the fun of it. Make everyone think it would be spectacular and they end up getting that.
"Check with Vincent on the whole twin thing. He might be up for it," Chase said, nudging her. He paid the ice cream man as he scooped up their cones and handed them back to the teenagers. Chase licked his and handed Victoria's over to her.
"Cool. I'm always up for free Ice cream. What should we get up to now?" he asked.
"Well, if you've got all these guys, maybe I should ask Jessica to the dance," Vincent said. He stuck out his tongue. "But it'd be disappoint to see you with a guy who didn't have my flawless appearances." He didn't really believe that, but Vincent was becoming more at ease with Ash and his banter showed it.
"It was cool. Living off the grid and all that. I was always the rugged outdoors type," he said with a laugh. Actually hat wasn't true. They'd had a nice little place in a nice little town. He had worked hard, but hadn't lived off the grid. In fact, he curled up in blankets whenever it got too cold.
"This place is nice too," Vincent said. "Maybe I'll tag along if you visit Alaska someday."
