(This is the most horrible hung I have ever written and so awkward and I love/hate it XD) αυяσяα ησxArlo had kept up a flow of small talk throughout the dinner. He hadn't paid much attention to what he or Keilana had said, and instead thought about what he was about to do. Once again, he stuck his hand in his pocket, touching the little box holding the ring. He watched as the waiter came by and took their dishes, asking if they'd like dessert. "Uh, yeah. We'll take a slice of cheesecake to share," Arlo said with a smile. The waiter nodded and walked off, leaving Arlo to do what he had planned to do. His face turned red at the idea of even a fake proposal. He'd had girlfriends before, but never to the point where he wanted to marry them. He was only 16! Even though he knew he wasn't truly proposing to the girl, he couldn't help but feel awkward and embarrassed. Why did he ever agree to this? Arlo looked up, fidgeting, as the waiter returned with the cheesecake he had ordered for him and Keilana. "So, K- Macy," Arlo said, almost forgetting to use the name he'd given her. "I, uh, actually had a bit a of a question," he said, dipping his fork into the slice. He took a bite before shoving a second bite into his mouth to avoid having to talk. "It's pretty good cheesecake," Arlo said, laughing. At this point he'd eaten about half the slice. He set down the fork, letting it clang against the plate. Well, now or never. His fingers closed around the small box in his pocket before he pulled it out and stood up. He'd thought about how to do this and only decided seconds ago to draw attention to them. After all, they just waned free food. "Everyone! I have an announcement," he said. The chatter died down and everyone, customers and employees, turned to stare at him. "I just wanted to tell everyone that I love this girl and want to marry her," he called, his face bright red. He was never doing this again. He didn't care if it was free food or because he actually wanted to marry someone. One proposal was enough for a lifetime. He got down on one knee and pulled out the box. "Macy, will you marry me?" he asked, flipping the box open to show the ring he had stolen from his mom. The one that he'd showed her in his car.

((Oooh, Mia, how sassy. Mason- Please. I'm into hot bad girls.))
((Oh this is even better. XD))
Despite Jace being mad at Mason for his whole checking out the waitress nonsense, he was glad for Mason swooping in and saving him from the awkward tripping over his words. Most of what Mason said went right over his head, but he wasn't surprised that Mason knew all of this stuff. When he had been in school, he had been good. Even though he missed most of his classes thanks to Adriane.
"Yeah, it would be a stressful job." Jace said with a weak smile and then relaxed a bit when the conversation was more focused on what Mason was saying and less on him. He glanced across at Mia, wondering what the heck she saw in Mason. Sure, he had rugged good lucks that made even Jace swoon, but he was a horrible person. He wasn't good for anything but staring at, so why did girls get so hung up on him?
Mason and Jace were polar opposites... well, two sides of a triangle, with Drake being the third side because of how different the trio was. But for some reason, the three of them were close. Even if most of the time, they were annoyed by each other.... such as Jace right now was, especially since he knew that Mason would undercut himself when it came around to being his turn to speak.
Mason shrugged. "I did a little bit of reading here and there when I was still in high school." He laughed at Mia's comment and looked over at her. "Really? What were your favorites? I personally liked Lord of the Flies, but hate everything by John Steinbeck." The guy was a bore to read and Mason had wanted to drop out of school every time he had to read a book by Steinbeck.
"Well if you like horses, I would think vet would be the way to go." Jace pointed out. He was not an animal person -- he could barely stand Jeffrey the ferret -- so he would never be able to deal with horses or becoming a vet. But he respected those that did.
Mason laughed. "Eh, I'm not very interesting." He started off, feeling uncomfortable with the pressure on him now. His least favorite thing was talking about himself because at this point, Mason didn't even feel like a human. What did he enjoy? "I, uh, I just... work... a lot because I wasn't very smart in high school and didn't see the point of graduating if I wasn't going anywhere better in life."
And that was it. He stopped talking at that moment because the way Mason saw it, that summed up his life in its entirety. He was a dumb kid that had to drop out to get a full-time job at seventeen.
Jace rolled his eyes. "Oh please, Mason." He was sick of hearing Mason talk like this about himself, so he turned to Mia and Sophia and decided to talk Mason up for them, his awkwardness falling away. "Mason is the opposite of dumb. ACTs? He got a 34. They made him retake it because they thought he cheated, and the second time, he got a 36. A perfect score. He was all set up to take advanced classes this year but instead, his stupid self decided to drop out. Mason also likes to draw. Like, a lot. And read."
Mason was annoyed by Jace. He didn't have any right to talk about him like this, but it had happened. Man, Mason wanted to leave now more than ever -- and he really wanted a cigarette.

(One of my teachers got a 36 on his ACT. I got a 29 XD I didn't study and wanted to retake it and do better but my mom said i didn't need to because of the college I was going to. I kinda wish I did to see how high I got after studying)
(Mia: so am I a hot bad girl or was that directed at Sophia? *wink*)
Mia glanced at Sophia to see how her cousin was reacting to it all. Sophia seemed almost bored, glancing between Jace, Mason, and Mia. Mia kicked Sophia under the table and the other girl jumped, clearly surprised by the kick.
Mia nodded, surprised by Mason's interest in books. Especially the classics they read in school. This must be what was boring Sophia. "I wasn't really into Steinbeck either, but all i read from him was Of Mice and Men. Shakespeare either, but I did like Twelfth Night. Beside a that, probably the more popular books. 1984. To Kill A Mockingbird. Night," she said, listing off some of the books she liked. "I think I would've liked more of the books if we just got to read them instead of finding symbolism and the deeper meaning of everything," she said with a laugh.
While Mia was taking, Sophia leaned over to Jace. "So Mason's just as boring as Mia?" she whispered. "I thought he was more one of those cute bad boys," she teased, nudging Jace and laughing. Part of it was a joke and part of it was actual curiosity. She'd been interested in the bad boy thing, but maybe not if he was a secret nerd.
She turned towards Jace and shrugged. "I don't want to make any decisions like that right now. Well at least not my job. I already have a college and major picked out hat I hope will open doors and give my plenty of opportunities for my career," she said. That was all true. Mia didn't like having to plan out her whole life, but it was expected. Just like Jack had by the time he was senior.
Mia was about to reply to Mason. Clearly he wasn't stupid if he actually knew anything about books and she was about to say that until Jace spoke. Her eyes widened. "34? 36? I got a 30 on my first try and a 32 on my third," she said. Her second try had been a 27, so she left that part out. "Mason, you're really smart," she said. She knew the everyone else that had gotten in the 30s were the type that got straight A's in every single class they took. They went to the top colleges. Mason could be one of them, but he had dropped out. It sounded like he could have a bright future, and the fact that he wasn't made Mia sad.
She didn't say anything about it. After their conversation about prom, she realized his dropping out might be a sensitive topic.
Sophia, on he other hand, didn't realize that. "Wow, Mason. Would you have time to tutor me? I'm struggling in chemistry. And math," she said with a frown. Mia had tried to tutor her, by the two girls got distracted whenever they tried to do work. cause she totally wouldn't get distracted by Mason.
"You like to draw?" Mia asked right after Sophia's question. "That's really cool. Nobody in my family is very artistic-"
"Ummm...." Sophia said, gesturing at both of their faces. Makeup was an art.
"Most of my family isn't artistic," Mia said, correcting herself without even a glance at Sophia. "So that's cool. You know, for us it's more about the whole school thing. Art isn't exactly prioritized. Just grades and sports," she said.
"Just look at Jack. He's what we're all supposed to be. Successful. Smart. Athletic. Outgoing. Likable. Although, Jack could do better if he stopped trying to dance and got rid of his dad jokes," Sophia said, rolling her eyes. They could never escape Jack.
Of course, neither of the girls would trade their living situation for anything. The apartment was pretty small, but the three of them got along and worked well together. She considered Jack and Mia to be more siblings than her actual siblings. She hadn't seen Carter or Nicholas in a long time. Plus, Carter was annoying and Nicholas was like Jack, but not quite as humble about his perfection. At least, perfection in the eyes of the adults in their family.

((Oh wow. XD I can't even remember what I got, but it was enough for me to get into my college of choice... although I went to community college instead.))
((Mason- What? No. That wasn't directed at either of you. Neither of you are my type.))
"Those books were all awesome. I got 100% on all of the tests over the books." It was the one thing that Mason was proud of from back in high school. He had always been really good at English, and Drake was good at math, so the two of them had been able to help each other out a lot when Mason still attended school... although neither one of them had ever really gotten a grade above a C.
Jace shrugged. "He's a bad boy that's really smart at school, but stupid at common sense." He whispered back. That summed Mason up pretty well. He could have a great life planned out, but he preferred to drink and do drugs and drop out of high school and overall, make what Jace thought were bad choices.
"Well, most students end up changing their major." Jace pointed out. He was pretty sure he had heard that fact somewhere before, but he couldn't remember where... or if it was true. "It's stupid that school expects you to have your life completely planned out when you're young."
Mason laughed. "No, I was just lucky. Made some right guesses on the ACT, I guess." He didn't like to think about him having a future since before high school, he had never planned on it. And when he actually had started thinking maybe he could get a good job and go to college, Adriane had gotten pregnant. Mason's life was a constant roller coaster of good things, followed by diving into fiery despair.
"I could, but you'll have to pay me back." Mason winked at her, before remembering yet again that he was supposed to be on a date with Mia. A swift kick in his kneecap from Jace made him wince and then glare across at Jace, but he refused to take back what he had said. Mason was smooth.
"Well, makeup is art. There's all those costume designers or whatever. The people that do makeup professionally." That was a potential job or career option. Not Mason's cup of tea, but whatever.
"Jack's a cool guy. I would wanna be like Jack." Jace decided. Jack was his idol. "All my dad cares about is me getting an actual job, and not being a musician. Actually, I think he wants me to be a police officer like him." He laughed at that. Like Jace would ever be able to do that.
"Ha, suckers. My family has no expectations for me and Drake." Mason grinned. Maybe there were some benefits to have a family that didn't care, but better yet, a family that didn't exist. Mason had never met any of their family, aside from his and Drake's mother. And she barely talked to them, let alone had any kind of expectations.

(Yeah like my friends were retaking it until hey got a score like mine or higher and then they all went to these really good schools and I'm going to a two year school)
(Mia: ... this is why I don't flirt XD)
"Ugh I hated all those tests. Essays aren't bad but I have a teacher this year that tests on these tiny little details and it's horrible. I got like an 80 on the last test," she said shuddering. That was one she'd be sure to burn before her parents came to visit them.
"Try giving him common sense," Sophia suggested. Jace seemed like he had enough common sense. At least, more than Mason did. Of course, Mia occasionally made stupid decisions. Not as bad as Mason, Sophia reminded herself as she watched Mason.
"Yeah, but I need to have at least an idea. A good idea and a solid plan to get through college and afterwards. My parents will kill me if I don't," Mia said, shaking her head. It was a bit of an exaggeration, but she didn't mind. She shrugged and glanced at Jace. "I heard that too, but I'm gonna have to stick with it or I'll be a failure."
"Not a failure," Sophia reminded her. Mia tended to take things harder than she and Jack did. They both envied Jack. He didn't even have to worry about stuff like that.
"I don't know. I mean, you don't get a perfect score by making a few guesses," Mia said. She shook her head. "But whatever. I mean, I'm not here to change your mind or anything. You seem like you're too stubborn to be swayed after one dinner with me," she said. It was meant to be a compliment. From what little she knew about Mason, he seemed pretty stubborn and she wished she could do that. She was swayed too easily.
"I have no problem paying for it," Sophia said. She reached across the table and touched Mason's face. "I could definitely work some magic on this," she teased. Then shrugged. "I'd totally be willing to pay if you'd be willing to tutor," she said, though she frowned a bit at the wink. "I'll make sure to kick Mia out of the house so she doesn't distract you." Sophia winked at her cousin.
"Or I'll just leave because I don't need to be distracted by you two when I'm doing homework. Plus, it'll take Mason a little while to get stuff through that thick head of yours," Mia said.
"Why don't you be a musician on the side until you can prove to your dad that that's a better job for you?" Sophia suggested. "That's what I'm doing with my gap year thing. I've been trying to tell Mia to do that too, but she doesn't think it'll work."
"You know Mom and Dad would never agree to me doing something besides being a doctor. Or a vet," she said. It had taken long enough to get her parents to accept her wanting to be a vet. "And if you like Jack so much, can you tell him to stop with the Dad jokes?" she asked, groaning.
Mia didn't reply to Mason's last comment. It seemed as though she, Sophia, and Jace all had something in common. Something Mason didn't share. And Mia wasn't sure if she should feel sorry or envy.

((I feel ya. And I have no idea where I'm going with my life. XD))
((Mia, I don't blame you.))
"An 80 isn't bad." Mason pointed out. He wished he had... well, who was he kidding? When he tried, he always got at least an 80. Still, it wasn't bad. His mom never would have been disappointed if he brought that home.
Jace snorted. "Mason? Common sense? There's no fixing that." It was true. He had tried in the past, and horribly failed every time. It seemed there was no trying to fix Mason. He was a mess.
"So you could just lie to them about what you want to do, and then secretly pursue what you really want." Mason suggested. He, apparently, didn't quite understand how families worked and what a bad idea it was.
"That's a horrible idea!" Jace said. "What happens when she graduates? She'll have to tell her parents eventually. You should just go for what your heart wants. Happiness and all that." He directed that last part towards Mia.
"You're learning." Mason smirked at Mia. It was true. It would take a lot more than one dinner for someone to convince him to go back to school. Actually, the only thing that would convince Mason to go back to school would be money. Lots and lots of money so he could support the household.
Jace was annoyed at Mason's reply to Sophia, and was surprised when she seemed to return his proposition. Or... whatever it was. It seemed flirtatious to Jace, but maybe Sophia was doing that to steer Mia away from Mason? By stealing him first? Or was Jace just completely misreading the situation? He figured he was when Sophia suggested having Mia leave, and by her frown at the wink.
"Mia won't distract me." Mason replied. "Hit me up whenever you need help." He knew he wasn't supposed to be making jokes or whatever but man, the opportunity has just been so perfect.
"I will not tell him to stop with the dad jokes. Those are what make him so lovable." Jace responded. "It is a good idea. I figured after I move out, I can do whatever the heck I want. Ash supports me."
"I'm going to go smoke a cigarette before the food gets here." Mason figured while they talked about this nonsense of families, he might as well go get in a smoke break. So he stood up and walked away.

"Really? Sweet. We're going to do something fun." Ash smirked at him and then started walking off, not really waiting for Luke to follow. "Do you want to come with?" "Heck ya I do!" Luke pushes himself off the pole and jogged after her. He was more than ready to have some fun. "So where are we going?" He asked feeling eager and curious.

(This is the most horrible hung I have ever written and so awkward and I love/hate it XD) αυяσяα ησx Arlo had kept up a flow of small talk throughout the dinner. {It's cute! But also I totally relate to Arlo and him being like "why have I done this. Why did we think this was a good idea. Never again"} Keilana could tell that Arlo wasn't exactly all there while they were talking. She didn't really mind. The experience was nerve-wracking as it was. It gave her an excuse to ramble about things. Other than the looming nerves that would come from them having to act, the dinner itself was quite nice. If this didn't work out, she at least got some good food out of it. She watched him with puzzled eyes as he began to speak. She was surprised she managed to keep down her amused and somewhat embarrassed smile. It was funny watching him struggle to figure this out, but she didn't blame him. She would be fumbling too. She was glad she wasn't the one who had to propose. She was actually surprised when he got the attention of the whole restaurant. Her face colored red, which turned an even darker shade when he declared his fake love for her. Addressing the whole restaurant was probably a bit of an overkill. She covered her mouth with her hand as he kneeled;whether to hide her embarrassment or her grin, she didn't know. It was probably both. She had a bad habit of laughing when she was embarrassed. Slowly, she nodded. "Yes," she said, barely keeping from stammering. She removed her hand to show her shaky grin, and she hoped it looked convincing enough. On cue, the entire restaurant appeared to burst into applause as Keilana went to hug Arlo as though it was something she actually did with people she had only known for 24 hours.

(I don't even know what school I want to go to after this)
(You should've heard how my friend was telling me to flirt with cute chemistry guy XD)
"Not bad for most people. But Mia isn't most people," Sophia said, glancing at Mason. Okay, that probably didn't help the whole trying to keep Mason and Mia apart thing.
"Get a girl to fix him," Sophia said. "I mean, you're great and all, Jace, but I don't think Mason's into you. Based on what you've been telling me, maybe a girl would have more luck," she suggested, speaking quiet enough that only Jace could hear. "Just not Mia."
"That's not how it works, Mason. At least not in my family," she said. She couldn't tell him if it'd work for other families, but Jace seemed to agree that this wasn't the best way of doing things. "I'm just glad they're not pushing me to be a lawyer like Jack." She shook her head, still amazed that Jack would be a lawyer when he was done with school. "I mean, you know him Jace. Could you see him as a lawyer?"
"I pick things up pretty quickly." Mia stuck her tongue out at Mason.
"You sure about that? I can practically see the heart shaped eyes when I look at you two," Sophia said. She reached across the table and pinched their cheeks. She used one hand on Mia and one on Mason. "So cute."
Mia glared at her, rubbing her now reddening cheek.
"You don't have to live with him. It's horrible," Sophia muttered. "Have Jack stay at your house for a week and you'll be begging him to stop," she said. It'd actually be nice to have a vacation from the only man in the house and Jack definitely wouldn't mind ditching their little apartment for Jace's house. Plus, he probably thought Jace was cooler than the girls.
"And that's good that she supports you. Sophia and I do too. Isn't that right Sophia?" Mia asked.
Sophia nodded. "I guess."
"I'm coming with," Mia said when Mason excused himself. She wasn't sure he wanted her tagging along, but wasn't the whole point of this to get Sophia and Jace alone? She stood up and followed him.
When the two were gone, Sophia sighed and slumped into the seat. "Yeah, I don't think he's good for her. What do I do? Flirt with him and try to get his attention away from her? Encourage their relationship? I mean, if it's a rebellious thing, then Mia will stop if I support her..." she said, thinking. "Ugh it's so much work taking care of someone."
***
Mia stuck behind Mason, going to stick her hands in her pockets before she realized she was wearing one of Sophia's dresses. No pockets here.
"So how do you think it's going with them?" she asked.

((Hello, Aurora! =3)) "Okay, do not mess with Kris or Jordan." Drake looked at both of the girls, making a mental note to always try to be on their good side. The last thing they needed was their apartment being broken into by some crazy cousins, bent on revenge because Drake had gone and done whatever it was that this other dude had done. "Alright, I see. I get it." He nodded his head in complete understanding. "Guys have the exact same kind of scale for women, based on several very important factors." Alright, so maybe Drake was a being a little bit over dramatic. Sure, Mason had taught Drake about The Scale, but it really didn't have a lot of important factors. "Why actually yes, I do. Sunglasses will show you just how cool I can be. Even if they are pink or have unicorns on them." Drake had pulled off both in his lifetime, because why the heck not? He stood up, laughing at Jordan's eagerness... and the fact that he was the same way. "Alright, let's go!" "Hey, I'm normally a pretty good person to be around," Kris said, brandishing a finger at him. "It's just that I have issues at times. I can handle my anger pretty well until it involves my family. Usually it's Jordan egging me on. Otherwise I doubt I would have broken into his house." Well, she wouldn't have done it alone anyway. She would have tried to get Jordan to come with her if it hadn't been something that Jordan already wanted to do. "I'm sure your scale is very important," Kris said, nodding solemnly and not believing a single word of it. "Ours is mostly personality based, honestly. And a little bit of personal experiences because you can't always judge a person if you don't have any experience with them. Looks, of course, are always welcome, but not the deciding factor." If looks were the deciding factor, Kyle would be quite high on the scale. It was a sad, sad truth. She would forever be disappointed by how someone could be so handsome but be such a bad person. "None of my friends will ever be cool, so by default..." she trailed off, letting him put the pieces together on his own. She grinned slyly and slid out of her seat. "Guess we're going now. I'm excited! Oh, and here, have some sunglasses. Which aren't unicorn or pink, but I think pink is a very good color, so shut your face." She pulled out a pair of sunglasses from her bag and waved them around. {I was about to go off on a rant on Kris's ideal guy in the second paragraph but I felt like that was overkill lol}

(But they gotta do it at least once more so Chase and Ash can catch them XD)
Arlo's own face had been bright red and he looked as though he was holding his breath in the time it took her to answer. Well, he definitely looked the part of a man proposing. It just felt super awkward and embarrassing instead of what was supposed to be one of the best days of his life. Or Ryan's life. Arlo and Ryan were totally different people.
"Great," Arlo said with a shaky laugh, unsure how he was supposed to respond to that. He slipped the ring on her finger and stood up, hugging her tightly. He held the hug for a few seconds, listening to the cheering and clapping around them.
"This is so awkward," he whispered, about 80% certain his mouth was pressed somewhere by her ear. "We don't have to kiss, do we?" he asked before pulling apart. He'd let her make that decision.
Unsure what else to do, Arlo grabbed Keilana's hand (the one with the ring) and lifted it high in the air to show the restaurant like a ref holding the winner of a wrestling match.

((Oh wow, that's cool! XD Congratulations!))
"Perfect. I'm all for illegal activities." Ash wasn't sure what had gotten into her -- usually she was a really good kid and never got into trouble but today... today, she felt like living a little bit. "What are you thinking? Stealing? Or... ummm...." she frowned. "Well, I guess I don't know what a lot of illegal activities are... teach me the ways." Her frown was replaced by a smile and she clasped her hands together, excited to know what Luke had in mind.

"Yeah, I tend to make things worse when I'm around Kris. And also, don't mess with anyone in our family or you'll feel the rage of both of us. And not just breaking into your house and making cake," she said with a laugh. She still couldn't wait to see what Kris would want to do when she told her about Kyle. As much as Jordan hated talking about him, it always made her feel good when Kris would get defensive of her.
"Yeah, looks are nice, but personality is higher. I mean, Kyle, the guy at the bottom of the list. The most horrible person I've ever met. He's beautiful. Curly blonde hair. Baby blue eyes..." Jordan trailed off, not wanting Kris to think she was still stuck on Kyle. She wasn't. He was a disgusting person and wouldn't leave her along. "Anyway, he'd be at or near the top of the list if looks were factored in that heavily."
"Except me, right? I'm definitely cool and your best friend ever," Jordan said. She threw an arm around Kris' shoulders. "Krissy," she added, pulling out he nickname she hadn't used since they were children. She then pulled out her keys and handed them to Kris. "I'll just take the passenger seat. You're one of the few people I trust to drive my car and I don't know my way around."
"But yeah. Sorry, dude. You gotta unlock, like, friendship level number four to hear the rest of my stuff. If you want to hear about Kyle, that's a level ten. Literally nobody but certain family members have even reached level six." Yes, Jordan had a friendship rating system and Drake was at a level two or so at the moment. He wa nice. Seemed cool. But she knew nothing about him.
Kyle was way out of his reach.

{These two make bad decisions in life XD}
Keilana needed to show Arlo some romance novels or something so that he knew how proposals worked. She didn't read cheesy romance novels ever, but she did read romance, so she felt like she knew what she was doing more than he did. She giggled at how awkward he was.
"Don't kiss me," she told him lowly, still somehow managing to fake smile her way through this. She refused to allow her first kiss to be because of a fake marriage proposal of all things. She had plans, okay? Her plans for romance included actual romance and not fake ones, and she was probably going to be a little bit older. Well, at least this would be a funny story to tell her future boyfriend.
"Stop that," she scolded playfully, tugging her hand out of his grasp. "You don't have to act like you've won something." She laughed. She was completely serious, but the dialogue worked for the situation. It sounded real enough for the proposal.
"Congratulations, you two," their waiter offered as he approached them. He was smiling, but Keilana couldn't tell if it was a simply formality or not. "In honor of this occasion, we've decided it would only be fair for you two to get your meal for free."
"Oh? Thank you so much!" Keilana gushed. "That's so kind!" And it was exactly what they wanted. The embarrassment was totally worth the good food.

((Yes. One more time so they can be caught. XD Although for free food, I'd be doing it every day.))
((I'm listening to my Pandora while I write replies. ;-; It's playing She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5 and for some reason it makes me think of Mason? XD AND NOW SAY SOMETHING. AH.))
((OOOH. I told you to flirt with him! XD))
A girl to fix Mason? Not a bad idea, but where should Jace even start to look for that? Put up an ad on some website and hope for the best? No, it was a crazy thought, although she was right. When Mason fell for a girl, he fell hard and he clung like he needed her in his life as badly as oxygen.
Mason was a little bit confused by why it wouldn't work, but that was probably due to his relatively undeveloped family relationships. He didn't care what his mother thought because at this point, he didn't want her in his life at all, so his method would work. But for people with caring families like Jace, Mia, and Sophia... well, it was a completely different story, obviously.
Jace laughed and shook his head. "Not in the least bit! But at the same time, I think he'd make a really good lawyer. Maybe he would, like, dad joke them all into letting his client go."
Mason wrinkled up his nose at Sophia and swatted her hand away. "Okay, okay." He grumbled. Oh, this was weird and was making Mason want to escape. This whole lunch thing... it was too much.
"Send him over! I'd love to live with Jack!" Jace said, rather excitedly. He'd never had a brother and the house was usually quiet, other than Ash and Jeffrey, so it would be nice to have someone else in the house. Someone that understood him and didn't throw parties where they ditched to eat a bunch of sugar with some guy they barely knew. (Yes, Jace was still upset about that.)
"Thanks, that really means so much." Jace replied. He was sure Mia was joking.
"If you want," Mason wasn't going to push Mia to come with as he pulled out a cigarette and put it in his mouth before they were even out of the building.
Jace shrugged helplessly. "I don't know. I guess it depends on whether or not you want Mia to hate you? And if you want Mason to be her first boyfriend." He sighed and looked out the window at Mia and Mason and just how completely different they were. "It is a lot of work. That's why I've taken a step back with worrying about Ash. At this point, I figure Ash is old enough to make her own decisions and if she gets hurt, I'll just pick her up and dust her off, y'know?" He did really love his little sister.
--
Mason shrugged. He pulled out his lighter and lit up the cigarette before bothering to reply. "Good, I guess? They could write a report on each other but honestly, I don't know." He exhaled a breath of smoke. "I think Sophia is worrying too much about you going on a 'date' with me to think about her feelings for Jace."

{Honestly same. I'd do it for the food, but probably only with someone I've been friends with for a while lol}
I can see why you'd associate those songs with Mason tbh. They do kinda fit
And I'm considering watching old cartoons while I respond hmmmm}

"Aright, noted. I wasn't planning on getting on either one of your bad sides and especially not now." From the sounds of it, Drake could quite possibly die if he offended them enough and Drake was not about to go about doing that. He was not interested in having two girls wanting his death. He had seen enough sitcoms of crazy exes that he knew what girls were capable of.
"Curly blonde hair and baby blue eyes reminds me of, well, a baby." All Drake could think of now was a totally unattractive, scrawny guy that for some reason, was reminding him of Michael Cera doing finger guns in a very awkward, not attractive position. Drake was now bothered. "So personality is better than looks? What if you have two guys and one has a really good personality, but is ugly, and the other guy has almost the same personality but is really hot BUT hot personality dude also has one really bad trait? Who would you choose?"
"I'm cool, and I am your friend." Drake replied. He would have dramatically asked Kris if she didn't consider him a friend, but he was honestly too excited to leave. And then he did finger guns at Jordan, because he was Drake and that was how he rolled. "You just wait, I will reach Friendship Level 10."
And with that, he took the glasses from Kris and put them on. He totally pulled them off as he led the way out of the restaurant, holding the door open for the others.

((Same. XD Not someone I just met. Then it would be more awkward.
I think my Pandora is a mix of songs that make me sad, and then songs that my goat likes. XD
Old cartoons are always good. o.o I like Kim Possible.))
