((Alright, Mason and Jace! I'll start. =3))
Jace was rather annoyed when Mason showed up at his house, dressed up nicely and demanding that Jace take him for a ride to the local flower shop. He had tried to close the door in Mason's face but Ash, who was taking out probably the tenth bag of trash that day, ended up letting Mason in.
So now here Jace was, driving Mason to the flower shop in his car, grumbling things under his breath that Mason wasn't listening to and probably could care less about.
"Perfect. Alright, now you gotta come in with me." Mason said as he got out after Jace had parked just outside of the flower shop he'd chosen.
"So, uh, isn't this the flower shop that all those siblings help run or something?" Jace asked.
"Yep!" Mason said as he opened the door, holding it for Jace who walked past, almost gagging on the smell of his cologne. Mason never wore cologne or dressed in anything that wasn't a flannel and yet here he was, even wearing a little tie for some silly reason.
"Hello?" Mason called into the flower shop with Jace right behind him. At this point, Mason probably helped keep the place running with the amount of flowers that he bought to appease the girls whose hearts he broke.

Zeke Knight | Male | 18/Senior | Lost Dreams
At about 5'10" with muscular shoulders and tan skin, Zeke looks a lot more threatening than he really is. His hair is mainly black, although about an inch of the tips of his hair are a bright blue color, matching the blue of his eyes. Zeke's clothing style is mainly jeans, boots, and graphic t-shirts of some type.

Zia Knight | Female | 17/Junior | Lost Dreams
Standing at about 5'4", this smaller girl has a fairly typical frame -- not too muscular, not too petite, just right in the middle. Similar to her older brother in style, Zia's hair is black with red and blue highlights scattered throughout it. She keeps her hair straightened and with bangs that fall just in front of her blue eyes. She has a ton of piercings -- snakebites, a nose ring, and even one of her eyebrow. On top of this, Zia has a small tattoo of a pair of wings on her back, which is a tattoo that she deeply regrets and hates to think about. Zia's clothes are all black or dark purple in color, but vary in style from skirts to shorts and pants, and blouses to band t-shirts, and boots to Converses. Because of her appearance, Zia isn't usually approached, which means that her social skills are a little awkward. Still, she will usually show up to parties and other social things, if only to make fun of the people involved. If someone took the time to overlook her somewhat scary appearance, they would find that she's actually kind of funny and a fairly nice person.

"Welco--" Tobias began, but abruptly stopped when he saw Mason. His friendly smile dropped and he scowled. It was pretty obvious that he didn't like Mason. "Oh, it's you. You're probably here for Ellie, right?" He didn't wait for an answer and headed into the back, calling for "Ellie!"
There was a pause, and then a shout of, "Stop calling me that!" Elita looked at her brother and huffed as he poked his head into the room. "What?"
"Your bad influence is here," he said.
"He has a name," Elita sighed and shook her head. She knew she wouldn't convince him of anything. He had never seemed to like Mason, which was fair considering his history, but Elita had decided to let the past stay the past. In any case, he was at least nice to her, and one of the only human interaction she had outside of her family these days.
She stood from where she was sitting and typing on her laptop and headed out to the front. "What's up?" she said, then balked when she noticed the unfamiliar boy that was also in the shop. "Oh, um, h-hello." She tugged at the sleeves of her sweater in a nervous action, suddenly a whole lot shyer. It had been a long time since she actually had to go out to the front and talk to someone who wasn't Mason or her family.

"Nice to see you, too, Tobias." Mason smirked at Elita's brother. He only got a little pleasure out of knowing the unrest that he caused almost every big brother that saw Mason coming through the door for their little sister.
He smiled at Elita, leaning against the counter and paying Jace almost no mind at the moment. "How are you today? Good, I'm assuming?" He figured he'd have a little bit of normal conversation, and then tell her about the bouquet he needed to make a girl happy.
Jace was standing behind Mason, almost just as awkward looking as Elita. It was like looking in a mirror... if a mirror turned your image into that of a girl, anyway.
"Oh, this is Jace. I'm sure you remember him from school or if not him, his little sister, Ash. Ash West? She's popular and throws parties at their house practically every weekend. Now Jace is not popular, so he spends the time hiding in his bedroom."
"Hey!" Jace whined.
Mason looked at Jace over his shoulder. "Are you really going to argue with me about the obvious?"
That shut Jace up.

"I've been good," Elita said, smiling slightly. She tucked a few strands of her hair behind her ear. "I... I think I remember you?" she added, looking at Jace. She glanced to the side, feeling awkward looking him in the face. "I remember Ash, at least." She always tended to remember the popular ones so long as they had been in her class before. By association, she tended to remember the siblings because her friends would tell her about them. Otherwise, she didn't know anybody and didn't make an effort to know anybody outside of her circle.
"Um, n-nice to meet you?" She was pretty much at a lost as to what he was doing there. She looked at Mason with a frown. "Why are you here?" She was, of course, immediately suspicious. While she wasn't complaining that he was there, she was pretty sure he wouldn't have brought a stranger in without an ulterior motive.

((Nah, I don't care. XD It's fine, but I figured I should probably tell you so you know, if that's cool...?
Basic rundown, although I don't want any characters knowing this besides Drake, Mason, Elita, and obviously Adriane. Others will probably find out as time passes.
So, it has a lot to do with Adriane.
Mason and Adriane started dating in about their sophomore year of high school and everything was going great, until Adriane found out she was pregnant.
Through magic of hiding it (Lost, should Adriane have just been homeschooled during the pregnancy...?), no one else found out about it and they had a darling daughter named Ariana when they were juniors, so about 16/17.
Adriane wanted to give her up for adoption but eventually, Mason convinced her to keep Ari. They came to an agreement, which Adriane's dad heavily influenced, where Mason had to help pay child support.
Now, Mason and Drake's mom is not the best and with Ari now coming over occasionally, Mason dropped out of school to get a couple jobs so he can get an apartment, wherw he also took Drake, and help support Ariana.
Hence a big reason why Mason doesn't want to let Adriane go, either.
And the end I think...? XD))
"Wow, the awkward is strong here." Mason said rather bluntly and then grinned at Elita. "I'm here to get a bouquet of flowers. All this drama went down last night and Mia Walsh and Adriane were both asking me to ignore the other and go with them."
"I chose neither, at the time, but I think I'm finally ready to decide. So I need some flowers. Preferably pretty." Mason told Elita with a smile. "Do you have an opinion on who I should choose?"
Jace sighed. "I'm just here because Mason needed a ride." He said. This was awkward. Personally, Jace felt as if Mason should pick Mia. Mia was nice and sweet while Adriane was... well, she was toxic.

"Mia," Elita said instantly, ignoring his comment on how awkward she was despite the blush on her face at being called out. She hadn't liked Adriane all that much, though she barely interacted with her. She didn't really hear good stories of her often, but of course she hadn't said anything to Mason. It wasn't any of her business. She didn't know Mia, but she was sure she was probably the better option.
Elita went to pick out a few flowers, humming as she did so. Contrary to popular belief, it wasn't often that people who worked in flower shops actually knew what flowers meant. In fact, hardly anybody ever actually knew. The only reason Elita knew what some flowers meant was because she liked using them as symbolism in her stories. Satisfied with what she picked out, she headed back to the counter to put them all together.
"Mason, you come here often enough that I know you don't need a ride," she said thoughtfully while she put together the bouquet. She hadn't paid much attention to what Jace said, but it finally registered in her head as weird.

((It had everything to do with her. XD When I first created Mason and I wanted to add more depth to him, I was like "Let's just give him a daughter." And it worked really well. And they're so freaking cute. ;-; He's a really good dad. Well Elita and I would get along because I also use flowers as symbolism in my stories. XD)) "Oh please, Elita," Mason waved his hand dismissively at her remark. "You don't know. Mia's cool and all, but I'm taking this flowers to Adriane and trying again. And if it fails this time, I'm done." Although he had been saying that for the last couple years and nothing had changed. Mason smirked at her. "Touche. Alright, so I brought Jace here because a) I thought you two might like each other and could become friends, and  so you guys could come on a double date with me and Adriane!" "This was a blind date?!" Jace asked, obviously not pleased. "Dude, I haven't showered in like two days. What happened to the bro code?! You're supposed to warn a guy!" "You wouldn't have come if I'd warned you." Mason pointed out. |
