Gabriel Michaels: Gabriel has never found himself extraordinary. He's got dirty blond hair and brown eyes, so basically he'd describe himself as average. His hair falls messily onto his forehead simply because he doesn't care about trying to make it look "nice". In his opinion, his best feature would be the deep dimples in his cheeks when he smiles. It's always what gets the most compliments, and he assumed that's why he liked them. For the most part, Gabriel is a nice person. He tries his best at least. He's very empathetic, but he's also a bit hot headed. He does his best to not get angry, but if he does, he's basically explodes because he can't help it. Luckily for everyone, it doesn't happen too often.
Fletcher Reed: Fletcher is what most people would call a "pretty boy". In the last two years of fame, he mastered the charismatic smile that has since captured the hearts of girls around the world. Fletcher has dark brown curly hair that he keeps in an organized mess of sorts. He has soft brown eyes. Standing at about 6'2", Fletcher is often the tallest person in the room. Despite his newly found fame, he keeps himself pretty grounded. He likes to think it hasn't changed him too much. He's got a pretty calm disposition, always one to stay level headed. He doesn't get mad easily, and definitely doesn't like confrontation. This is due to him having a bit of difficulty expressing his emotions. If you really want to know who he is, it's probably more easily done listening to his songs than actually talking to him.
Sorry these aren't very good, I wrote them really quickly!

They're perfectly fine. ^^
Daisy Graceling: Daisy is an athlete, but not in the sense that most people would think of. The 5'7" girl has spent her life riding and working with horses. Her parents participated in shows, so the hobby naturally passed down to her. She had lithe frame and toned muscles that came with working with the horses. Bright blonde hair hangs down to her shoulders, which normally gets pulled up into a pony tail on most days to keep it out of her face. Hazel eyes shine from underneath long lashes, seeming to be the focal point of her heart shaped face. Because she spends a lot of time outside, her ivory skin has a dark tan during the summer months. Daisy was raised in a very religious household, so it's no wonder that she is a polite and respectful young adult. The girl is kind to those she meets, and offers people the benefit of the doubt. She's the kind of person who doesn't want to admit the bad side of people, even if the evidence is clearly against them. Of course, she won't lie to herself if it means bringing harm or misery to herself. She's also the kind of person who would much rather help someone else with their problems than admit her own. She keeps her thoughts and emotions to herself, never really saying if she's upset or if there is something bothering her. If she did that, then she knows she would get over emotional, and she doesn't like become a mess in front of everyone.
Nichole Hart: Nichole stands around 5'7" with a pear shaped body structure. Red hair that falls down to her mid back frames her round, childish face. Her eyes are a dull green color and have a slight tilt to the corners. It's subtle, but it's there. Freckles lightly dust her cheeks and nose, most hard to notice on her light, pinkish toned skin. Because of her trouble home life, Nichole tries to be as independent as she can. She keeps to herself, only speaking to people when she has to. If someone tries to pry into her life, she will either quickly change the subject or leave the conversation altogether. That is, unless she's with people she trust. If she's with her best friends, then there's no hiding her thoughts. Among friends it's a safe spot to rant and complain about whatever and whoever was getting on her nerves. The way she saw it, her problems were her own, and not just anyone had the right to know about them. Although, while she was hesitant to talk about herself, Nichole is a good listener. She is always willing to lend an ear to anyone who needs to get something off their chest.

(Sure. But before I write the starter for Rock star, where should we have things begin? Should they be at one of his shows? At home? Should he be one place, and her another?)
It was a beautiful day. The sun was out, but the weather was turning cooler as fall approached. A few white, wispy clouds were scattered throughout the sky. These were the days Daisy loved. The days that looked like summer but felt like fall. The days when there was a break in the stifling heat that sometimes threatened to choke her.
The girl was enjoying the the perfect weather sitting outside her favorite coffee shop. At this time of day, there weren't many other people around besides those driving pass in the street. She was the only on occupying the outdoor space, which she was grateful for. After the morning she had, she felt like some alone time was necessary. Daisy had just come from home from the boarding stables her parents and her kept their horses. Everything had started off normal. She fed and groomed her horse, cleaned the stall, and then got things set up for her to take her normal ride around the indoor areana. However, not thirty minutes into her ride a coughing fit brought on by all the dust kicked up into the air forced her to stop early.
Daisy let out a sigh. She could still feel a lingering scratchy feeling in the back of her throat and chest, urging her to try once more to soothe the itch by coughing up whatever was irritating her. Yet she refused to give in. Coughing would only make things worse. So instead, the girl took a sip of her hot chocolate. For a moment, it seemed that her drink helped smother the problem. Then it was back. She tried a second swallow, hoping against hope that it would work. In reality, she only managed to burn her tongue, making her swallow too quickly and induced a series of coughs to sound. All she could do was cover her mouth with a free hand and wait miserably until they stopped.

(Maybe at the airport like when he comes back?)
Today had not been a good day for Gabriel so far. He'd woken up to the sound of his parents banging around the house, and that wouldn't have been an issue if this hadn't been the one day that he was actually able to sleep in. After realizing there wasn't a chance he was about to fall back asleep, he'd went downstairs only to be immediately scolded by his mother for who even knows what. She was just in one of those moods, and anytime that happened, Gabriel knew he needed to get out of there. It always ended as a back and forth battle between them, and he really didn't feel like it today. So he apologized before he even knew what he was apologizing for before slipping out of the house. He did what he always did when he needed to get away. He went for a walk. So he walked, his thoughts wandering freely as he went. He'd been walking for a good 45 minutes before he stopped, coming across a coffee shop. Considering the lack of sleep he'd gotten the night before, he figured coffee would do him good. He slipped in the door, glad that the place wasn't busy. It was far from it in fact. He decided while he waited against staying to drink it, figuring he could use the time instead to find a park or the like. It was a beautiful day after all. As he was walking out, his eyes fell on a girl sitting outside. "Are you alright?" he asked as he past, referring to her coughing attack. It definitely didn't sound good to him. It helped that it also gave him an excuse to talk to her without being too weird.

(Sounds good to me.)
Daisy had seen the boy as he entered the cafe. Luckily he had entered before her fit, so she had thought she had avoided any awkward stares or conversation that usually followed whenever someone witness her coughing. Most of the time she had to assure the people around her that she didn't have anything contagious. However, she hadn't heard as he walked back outside. The girl jumped a bit as she turned to look at the boy.
"Oh, yeah, I'm fine," Daisy assured him with a smile. "My drink just went down the wrong way. Add that to my allergies acting up with the changing weather, and it's not a pretty sight." She gave a small laugh. It was the same excuse that she gave to everyone that she could. Her coughing was nothing more than a product of her allergies. No one cared if you had allergies so long as you made sure to keep the germs from spreading through the air. It was a much easier explanation that trying to tell people what was actually wrong with her.
Fletcher Reed: one of the biggest faces of the music industry over the past few years. Nearly everyone knew of the singer or at least have heard of his name. His music was played over many radio stations, and thousands of fan girls and boys sought out to buy his new albums as soon as they were released. His concerts were always packed to the max. Girls all over the country longed to be noticed by him, yet many never do. Except for one.
Nichole was waiting at the airport, playing a game on her phone. Every few seconds, she would glance around the room, scanning he sea of faces in hopes to see the singer's face. He was suppose to be arriving back to his hometown today, and she wanted to be the first one to greet hi. No, she wasn't a crazy fan waiting in wait to ambush the rock star. To be honest, she was surprised there was no hoard of fan girls waiting for him. He must not have told the entire public of his traveling whereabouts. The reason she knew where he was going to be was because he texted her about. Yep, she got texts from a famous celebrity. The reason was because she knew the man long before he became known to the whole world.
The two of them went way back. Fletcher was one of her best friends when they were in high school. She knew so much about him that she doubted anyone else knew about him. If she ever needed to blackmail the star to do anything for her, all she had to do was threaten to tell the world of his younger, more stupid days as a rowdy youth. Of course, she would never dream of doing that, but she could.

Gabriel couldn't help but smile slightly when she jumped. He hadn't meant to scare her, but he had to admit it was a bit amusing. As he listened to her explanation, he nodded along. He knew the feeling all too well, and he knew how embarrassing it could be. It seemed as though every time it happened, people always noticed. It simply could never happen when he was just alone. "I'm sorry, I know what you mean." His eyes travelled around them. He'd noticed when he'd arrived, there was almost no one in sight, and things hadn't changed. "Are you here alone?" he asked, knowing full well that she was. He would've noticed by now if there was someone with her. "If you are, would it be alright if I sat with you? Just while I finish my coffee," he said with a smile. He'd be lying if he said he didn't find her at least a little attractive, and he figured he might as well take a shot. The worst that could happen is her saying no, and while that might hurt his pride a little, he could move on from that without too much trouble. And if she said yes, then even better.
---
Two years. That's how long it's been since Fletcher had gotten to go home for more than a few days. With recording, interviews, and shows around the country, Fletcher had barely had time to breath, let alone go home. He missed it so much. Of course he loved the performing, and the traveling, and of course the fans, but nothing could replace the home cooked meals his mom made, the feeling of sleeping in his own bed, and especially his best friend. She was perhaps what he missed the most. They'd never stopped talking, not even for a day. He was always sure to at least send her a message, whether that message be a simple good morning or a stupid story about something that happened to him that day. She was the one who he turned to when he needed something, or in this case someone, to keep him grounded. He couldn't imagine what his life would be without her, and that was the reason he had made sure she'd be the one greeting him at the airport when he finally returned home. As he stepped off the plane, he couldn't quite understand why he felt a bit nervous. Maybe that's what happens when you haven't seen someone in awhile, but it felt strange. Nervous to see his own best friend. He shook the feeling off and he continued walking, glad that no one knew he was here. He'd made sure that his flight hadn't been posted anywhere. The last thing he wanted was a mess at the airport, especially not today. He quickly found his bag, and went down to where he knew she'd be waiting. His eyes travelled around the many faces until she caught his eye. A smile spread across his face as he sped up slightly. "Nichole!" he said when he got close enough for her to hear him, his arms opening up for her.

Relief caused her to relax a little. The boy seemed all too familiar with the regular struggle of normal allergies. So when he asked to join her at her table, Daisy didn't hesitate with her answer. "No, it's just me," she confirmed, then gestured to the other seat that was at the table. "By all means, sit. I wouldn't mind the company."
Truth be told, she was a little happy he asked to join her. Yeah, she had originally wanted alone time to sulk in her bad mood, but if she allowed herself to do that, it would only aid her health in its road to deterioration. The girl always tried to act as if her illness didn't bother her, that she was going to make the most of her time while she was still able to do the things she loved. Some days it was easier to keep that positive mindset, and other times... It was better if she just didn't focus on the negative.
"My name's Daisy," she introduced herself. It would probably be best to give each other their names if they were going to be hanging out for the next couple of minutes.
Checking the time for the hundredth time, Nichole was getting more and more anxious. She had waiting for Fletcher to return home for the last three months. The two of them had planning his vacation for what seemed like forever. The last time she got to see him was during one of his concerts he was performing in the state over from where they both grew up. Of course, being friend to the led singer, she had been given VIP access. It had been fun to watch him up close in action. She didn't get much time to hang out with him, but that was okay. Seeing him singing up on stage, smiling and laughing as he did what he loved to do, it made her proud to see how far he had come.
Just as she recalled his smiling face in her memory, her eyes caught sight of the exact same sight heading towards her through the crowd. A grin spread across her face as he called out to her. Quickly, Nichole rose from her seat and jogged towards her best friend. "Fletcher!" She exclaimed as she all but collided with the young man, wrapping her arms around him.

Gabriel felt relieved that she said yes. He had been hoping she would. He rarely took chances like this in fear of embarrassment, but for some reason he could tell this was different somehow. He slid into the seat across from her with a grin, setting his cup down on the table between them. "Gabriel," he said back to her. He leaned back in the seat, carefully looking over her. "So Daisy," he started. "I don't feel like doing the whole awkwardly getting to know each other right now." That was true. He hated when he first met someone and it was weird. There was always that strange gray area before you actually became friends with someone, and that gray area was the exact reason he didn't try too hard to make new friends. He was never sure how to navigate it. "What do you say we skip the whole 'what's your favorite color' thing. Just jump right into a friendship." He leaned forward, resting his elbows on the table, not waiting for her to agree before he continued speaking. "So I've kind of had a bad morning, hence why I'm out here walking alone. My mom really woke me up yelling at me for no reason so that's cool." He sighed slightly and shook his head. "And after this, I'm going to have to go home and apologize for leaving, but she should be glad I did because things would've been a lot worse for both of us if I didn't. But I feel a lot better now." He stopped when he realized that he was sort of rambling and shook his head. "Anyway, how about you? How has your day been so far? Minus the allergies of course."
---
Fletcher squeezed his eyes shut as he wrapped his arms around her tightly, his bags forgotten behind him. The smile on his face wouldn't go away, and he felt happier than he had been in a long time. "I missed you so much," he said to her, not wanting to let go yet in fear that this wasn't real. He'd had plenty of dreams like this one, and he was slightly afraid that he was going to wake up and this would be a dream just like every other time. "You don't even know how much I've missed you." He finally released his hold on her, taking a small step back. His smile was still dominating his face as he looked at her. "How are you? How have things been here?" He hated to admit just how much he missed his hometown. He'd practically spent his life wanting to get out of it, and now that he was, he missed the simplicity of it all. He missed not having to worry about missed flights and knowing where he was going to sleep every night. It was hard for his every day to be away from here, and now that he was back, he already felt more at peace. It was a strange things to him. He couldn't wait to wander the familiar streets he'd known his entire life. Everything here was always the same even if everything else about his life was always changing.

Daisy had to giggle at his straightforwardness. She had never meet anyone who was willing to just jump right into the middle of explaining their lives to someone they just barely met. It was nice, though, to skip all the awkward questions that most people normally asked when trying to make friends. All the pointless questions that really had nothing to do with gauging a person's character and personality was just a waste of time. What she was surprised about was that he was willing to admit his troubles at home. He talked about so casually.
"Sounds like you had a pretty rough morning," Daisy commented, idly messing with her cup. "A rougher time than I had by far. I just got through with my morning ride. I have a horse that I keep at the stables a couple of blocks from here. You probably don't know it, but if you do then it saves me from having to give you poor directions. I always go riding first thing in the morning if I can. There's no better way to start the day. At least for me. Of course, the allergy problems put a damper on things, but so far my day's been alright.
Nichole laughed as she clung to him. It felt so good to have him where she could hug him, to be close to him. Since he left to be a big star, she had lost the one person she could truly talk to. Yeah, she had other friends, but none that knew her as well as Fletcher. Just like she knew things about him he wouldn't want the world to know, he knew things about her that she had made him swear to never reveal. There was nothing in the world she would take for this moment.
"I've missed you too," she muttered, smiling and looking up at the man before her. "Things have been okay around here. Everyone's still doing the same, boring things, and keeping all their bad habits. Nothing new." Their hometown wasn't a place where much happened. It wasn't the worst place to live, but at the same time, it wouldn't place high on the "Best Cities to Live in" list. People kept to themselves around here, and if trouble arose, well, what could you do? If it didn't involve you, then there was really no reason for you to get involved. She was kind of jealous that Fletcher had been able to leave and travel the country as he did. "But you can get caught up on all our town's gossip on the way home. Right now, we need to get you out of here before someone recognizes who you are, Mr. Hot Shot."

Gabriel raised an eyebrow, surprised by the fact that she rode horses. It's not like it was uncommon, be he himself had never done so. The fact that she had her own horse was even crazier to him. "I've never been, but I have heard about them I guess. That's really cool though, that's definitely better than my morning." Not that it took much for that to happen in his opinion. It was one of the worst he'd had in a long time. "I've never rode a horse before," he admitted to her. "It's not something that I've ever had the opportunity to do really. I did ride a camel once at a zoo on vacation. I was probably too old to do it though, but my sister really wanted to so I took her. She was 8 then, so she couldn't do it by herself and my parents made me do it. It was still pretty fun though." He stopped, his rambling tendency showing once again. "Sorry that I talk a lot," he apologized, smiling slightly. "But maybe you could take me sometime. Show me the ropes and all."
---
Fletcher's smile grew impossibly larger as he listened to her. He couldn't even describe how happy he was to back, and even though his hometown wasn't fantastic, just the mention of it filled him with joy. He could hardly believe he was back, and for a while this time too. He shook his head at her nickname and laughed, grabbing his bag. "We don't want that to happen. You aren't ready for the fangirls yet," he teased, although he was slightly serious. It was one of the wildest things he'd experienced to date, and it could be extremely overwhelming. Fans could be a lot sometimes, and if could minimize the amount of times she'd have to deal with them, he would. He followed her lead, not knowing where the car was. "It might sound weird, but I'm really happy to back. I thought I'd never say that."

Daisy shook her head at his apology. "Don't be sorry. I've always wanted to ride a camel just to see how different it is," she said. It wasn't a shock to her that he didn't ride horses. Many people didn't. It wasn't exactly a cheap hobby to be into. She probably spent more money on things her horse needed than she did for herself. Plus, most people didn't have the time to put into caring for them. "I would be more than happy to take you riding. You could borrow one of my parents' horses. They use to do shows all the time, so you won't have to worry about their training. You won't find a better pair of horses to choose from. But, of course, in order to for me ask you when you would like to join me, I'll need your number to call or text you."
Since he had already dove right into the friendship status, Daisy had no probably being so forward in asking for the boy's number. Had this been a regular first meeting, she might have been a little more hesitant. After all, Gabriel was a nice enough guy, and she wouldn't have wanted to make him think she was trying to force herself onto him. So by having him be so willing to be friends, that worry was pushed aside.
"Oh, please, I've dealt with plenty of fangirls around here," Nichole informed him. As he picked up his bags, she began to walk with him towards the exit of the airport. "Do you know how many girls we graduated with have come to me trying to set them up with you? The same girls who thought they were too good to even talk with you back in the day. I've taken up a new hobby I refer to as 'Lets See How Mad I can Make a Fangirl.' It's offered me o much entertainment. You should see the hatred and jealousy radiating off of them every time I point out that I'm your best friend, and they are not."
The young woman laughed slightly. Of course, she didn't go around flaunting the fact that she was so close to the Fletcher Reed. That kind of information would have brought unwanted attention to herself. No, the only time she mentioned her relationship with the singer was whenever girls who used to, and still do, get on her nerves try using her to get close to Fletcher. Not that he wouldn't have been able to defend himself against them. By now, he must have had plenty of experience in fighting off obsessed and desperate girls.

Gabriel nodded perhaps too quickly when she said she'd need his number. "I was just about to ask you," he admitted with a small smile. He pulled out his phone, opening his contacts in order to add a new one. He slid it over to her with a grin. "You can just put it in and I could call you later?" It wasn't often that he got girl's numbers, and he felt a bit proud that she'd actually asked him. He could hardly believe it. He knew very little about her considering how he'd approached the entire situation, so he hoped they'd get along alright. So far everything had gone smoothly, and he really did think she was quite pretty, not that he'd tell her that. "You can tell me the best time for you even, and I'll make it work." He paused, going silent for a few seconds as he thought over his next words, ultimately deciding he might as well just say it. It wasn't like this had been a conventional meeting anyway, and so what if they didn't know anything about each other? "Would it be too straightforward if we were to call this whole riding thing a date? Because I would like it if we could. If you don't want to though, it doesn't have to be," he was quick to add, not wanting to make the girl uncomfortable. "But just think: If it goes horribly, then we wouldn't have to go on a second date. We might as well to get it over with."
---
Fletcher listened to her words, shaking his head with a laugh. "I can see you now, bragging about being my friend. I'm sure they all hate you even more now than they did in high school." The thought made him laugh. He wasn't that surprised that people they'd gone to school with were trying to get in touch with him. He'd seen quite a few things that they'd said before, claiming that they were best friends when in reality, he'd hardly spoken two words to them in his life. It was a strange thing to experience, but he'd grown used to it in a way. It still was a bit weird, but there wasn't much he could do. He was just glad none of his actual friends had said anything, especially Nichole. She knew so much about him that she could probably ruin him in seconds if she let anything out. He knew she never would though, and he was grateful. "What girls have asked about me? Any hot ones?" he asked, glancing over at her with a grin. He was curious, although he knew there was a very slim chance that he'd actually like any of them. He was well aware by now that most people just wanted to be his friend for the fame. He knew who his real friends were, and that's all that mattered. "You think they'll try to come talk to me if they see me? Or did you scare them off for good?"

Daisy took his phone from him as he offered it to her. Thanks to never having to change her number for any reason, she entered her number without even having to give it a second thought. While she was at it, she put in her first and last name just so he would known it was her, just in case he forgot. Once done, she handed the phone back to its owner. It was at that moment he asked his net question.
"Boy, you sure move fast, don't you?" the girl inquired, leaning back in her seat. She wasn't mad or wary by him wanting to make their roughly planned out meeting a date. If anything, she felt flattered that he even wanted to date her. She hadn't had a date in a few years. Her last boyfriend was caught cheating on her, so she had broken up with him. She hardly regret the decision, and she certainly didn't miss him. However, she hadn't sought out anyone else to date since. Not to mention that was also the time her illness had began to rear its ugly head. So she had been a little distracted with other things to worry about the break-up too much. "Sure, why not? I have no problems with turning it into a date. I just hope you know, you'll be incredibly sore by the end of it."
"Oh, you know they do. I get death glares from them on the street," Nichole said, leading him out of the airport and into the late evening air. Her car was parked a good ways away, so they would have a while to walk. Why didn't they have valet parking? It would have made their life so much easier. "You know I would never feed their egos by claiming any of them as hot," she told him, rolling her eyes playfully. "But I guess for you, there might have to be a few better looking people. As for your last question, I would count on you getting ambushed. As soon as they see you, they're going to try and kidnap you. They won't care about me. I'm old news. All they're going to care about is seeing who can get you alone the quickest."
(Sorry for shortness!)

Gabriel laughed, shrugging his shoulders. "Yeah, I guess I do. But it's not my fault really, I can't help it. I've done stranger things than ask girl I just met out on a date, and really it's your fault." He was overjoyed that she'd said yes, never having asked a girl out so spontaneously before. He'd seen movies of course where it worked, but he never thought he'd actually do it. He was glad he did though, and he was hoping it would go well. He heard her next words and raised his eyebrows with a laugh. "Sore? And you say I move fast," he teased, shaking his head. "Is it going to be painful? Be honest with me, I want to know exactly what to expect when I do this. Is it going to be like all the movies make it out to be?" He'd seen plenty of movies with horse back riding, and it always seemed to glorious, like it was possibly the best thing in the world.
---
Fletcher glanced over at her with a slight grin. "You know, you can tell me if they're hot or not here. I don't see any of them around, so you wouldn't be boosting their egos. and you don't have to worry too much about the getting ambushed thing, I'm pretty good at those situations now. Practice makes perfect," he told her with a proud grin. "You on the other hand might need to worry, especially if they're as bad as you're making them sound. They might try to hurt you or something if they see us together. They'll be so mad that you got me alone so fast." Fletcher laughed at the thought. It still felt a little weird knowing how people thought about him now. It was flattering, but it could also be uncomfortable sometimes. "I'm just really hoping that not too many people interrupt us while I'm back. I'm not gonna be here forever, and I'd really like to spend it with you and my family. I know that's probably wishful thinking though."

"Oh, my fault is it?" Daisy asked, trying to put on a completely innocent look while taking a sip of her drink. "I can assure you, I have no idea what you might be talking about." This whole situation was strange, but the young woman had never felt like laughing more in her laugh. There was something about the boy in front of her that made it easy to joke with. It had taken at least a month to reach this point with some of her best friends, yet here he was, ten minutes into their conversation, and they were already casting flirty banter between them. With a giggle, she blushed slightly as he pointed out how suggestive her last statement had been.
"It's not that bad," Daisy replied. "You'll just be using muscles in your legs that you never knew you had. Just think of it as leg day at the gym. You might not feel the results right away, but by the next morning, you will. And movies do a horrible job portraying horse riding. Well, some of them at least. You won't be able to just hop up into the saddle and expect to win any awards for your seemingly natural talent. But it is fun, and hopefully it'll live up to your expectations."
"Oh, I have no doubt they would try to off me," Nichole responded. "Then it'll be a struggle among them to see who will be there to comfort you in your time of grief. They're evil, everyone of them. Amber Luck is the head of that little mob, if that gives you any indication of hot or not." Amber Luck had been deemed the most popular girl in school during their high school years. Everyone either loved her or hated her, depending on whether or not she thought you were worth her attention or not. Up until his beginnings of fame, Fletcher had been one of the guys she hardly gave a second glance at. Nichole had often butted heads with the girl, so there were no good relations between them. But now that Fletcher was one of the most eligible men of the world of celebrities, Amber was always trying to get connections to the young man and bump Nichole out of even the friend zone. So far, her attempts had failed, mainly because all of Fletcher's other friends didn't like her either. Or at least, they didn't like her enough to be used by her.
"You're definitely going to be recognized," Nichole told him as she spotted her car in the sea of shiny vehicles. "So if you don't want to be discovered you will either have to stay inside all the time, or wear a disguise. But, I do plan on parading you around on the last day you're here just so I can rub it in all the other girl's faces. There's no way I'm going to miss that opportunity."

Gabriel couldn't help but smile when he noticed her blush, but he didn't say anything. He didn't want to embarrass the girl, so he just acted as though he hadn't noticed at all. As he listened to her words, he got a little nervous. He wasn't sure how this was going to go. Gabriel hadn't really considered the fact that this could be a workout. It wasn't something he'd considered, but it did make sense. "I suppose that's the reason you're so fit," he said matter of factly. "I'm guessing you ride all the time. I feel like anyone who rides horses does it all the time, it's really cool. They're always really passionate about it." That was true from what he'd observed in his life, and he found it pretty honorable. He'd never enjoyed something to the level that he thought she probably did for horse riding, and he sort of wished that he had. "I might be really good though, you'll have to eat your words when I'm winning every horse competition around," he said with a large grin. "Don't worry though, I won't forget about you when it's happening," he said, winking at her as he joked.
---
Fletcher raised an eyebrow in surprise. "Amber? Are you serious?" That wasn't something he expected considering her disdain for him while they were in high school. He wasn't exactly fond of her, considering her past with Nichole. He wasn't surprised though that she was seemingly after fame or money, or possibly both. She was definitely that kind of person. He wouldn't forget all the times in high school where she'd next to ignored him and his friends. If she wasn't ignoring them, she was making fun of them. Frankly, he'd be alright if he never saw her again, but he was sure he couldn't be that lucky. "I really can't wait until she finds out I'm here then. She'll probably start tracking me or something," he said with the shake of his head. "You think she'll be the first one to comfort me after she somehow makes you disappear then? I'm sure she'd be great at that. Try to comfort me by getting me in bed probably," he said with a laugh. "I don't really want to be disguised while I'm here," he admitted to her, looking over at her. "Unless you want me to because it is a lot sometimes, but hopefully we can get at least some time without people interrupting us every five minutes."

"I don't ride as much as I would like to," Daisy said, which was both a sad reality and disappointed dreams. If she could ride all the time, she would be in heaven. To her, there was nothing better than riding her horse. She was one of those people who were passionate about the sport (and yes, to her, riding horses was a sport). "I have school, work, and family duties to take care of, and the horses do need a break every now and then. But it is a better way of working out than having to go to the gym everyday. I'll admit that."
At his declaration of possible hidden skills, Daisy raised her eyebrow in mock surprise. "Oh, you will? How gracious of you. If you're so confident you'll be so good, care to make a wager?" Of course, the wager wouldn't be anything big. She was thinking along the lines of the loser pays for lunch or ice cream. Something that won't injure the other person's pride or dignity.
"She'd be the one to kidnap me, throw me off a cliff, comfort you, and then take out the other competition," Nichole declared, stopping by her car and opening the trunk for her friend to place his bags inside. "The girl is crazy. The moment she knows you're here, she'll be doing everything she can to throw herself at you. I can whack her with a stick for you if you want, but there's no stopping her."
Amber wasn't the kind of person to give up once she's set her eyes on something. If she wanted Fletcher, than she would go to no end in her methods to do so. Really, the girl had no shame whatsoever. It made Nichole sick to see her flaunting herself about the way she did. "Not even like a hat and some shades? Just something that might reduce the impact of your face being seen clearly by girls. But, to be honest, if you're hanging around me, it probably won't take some people long to figure out who you are, disguised or not, so it's completely up to you what you do when we go out and about."

Gabriel nodded in understanding. "You've got me beat. It's actually a fun workout which is better than what I do. I hate working out with a passion," he said with a laugh. He was only telling the truth. If there was some way he could work out that he actually found fun, maybe he would do it more often, but that hadn't happened yet. "I think it's really cool that you have something that you like to do so much. I used to have something like that with baseball, but unfortunately I wasn't good enough at that to be able to still do it. I'm too old to play now," he said with a slight shrug. "We can definitely make a wager," he said, nodding quickly. He was well aware of the fact that he was going to lose, but he didn't really care. "What kind of bet do you want to make? Make sure it's not too bad for when you lose," he teased with a grin. He was aware that she knew that she was going to win, just as he was. That's the main reason he was letting her choose what she wanted when she won.
---
Fletcher laughed as he got into the car. "You think so? I'm sure she just wants me for my good looks and my charm," he said jokingly. "That's what she was always wanting in high school. Luckily, I was able to resist her then. Now though, who knows? She might just win me over." The sarcasm was evident in his voice. He didn't think there was any way that she would be able to make him actually like her. Of course he'd be nice to her if she tried to talk to him, he would never be rude to someone. Especially not now, considering his newly found fame. He didn't want people to have any reason to think he was like that, not that people would necessarily believe a random girl like Amber. They would have no reason to, but he wouldn't put anything past her. She could be quite manipulative. He glanced over at her and shrugged. "If you want me to wear a hat and glasses then I will. It'll work at least for a little bit I guess, but once they realize then I'm ditching it. I get a little bit tired of wearing them sometimes," he admitted.

Riding was probably the one thing in her life that she couldn't do without. Daisy was brought up in a saddle, riding along with one of her parents. She was more excited on the day they bought her her own horse than when she got a car, which she only used on days she didn't feel like walking or going back and forth to work and school. She even was able to fall asleep in the saddle (it only happened once on a week long camping trip when she was younger, but she would still brag about it). Horse back riding was something that pained her to think about never being able to do again. Yet that was exactly what was happening. Sooner or later, the girl wouldn't be able to keep up her hobby, but she refused to let herself think of such a grim topic. "You can still play it for fun," she pointed out. "Get a bunch of friends together to play at a park or something."
"Whoever loses as to buy food after we're done," Daisy replied to his question. "I usually go riding first thing in the morning since I don't have to work until the evenings. However, if you want to meet up on a day I don't have work, we can go later in the day. I figured you'd be hungry after all the hard work you'll be putting into staying seated in the saddle."
"If she wins you over, then we are officially not friends anymore, Reed," Nichole stated as she sat down behind the wheel. She used his last name to emphasize the weight of the consequences that decision would have. There was no way in a million years her friend would ever give in to Amber. They knew the other girl's ways too well. She was after one thing with guys: status and power. She dated the football stars and bad boys that would keep people talking about her and scared of her. She wanted to be the only one who had a valid opinion, and everyone didn't matter. No, Fletcher was smarter than that.
Starting the car, the young woman pulled out of the parking space. She didn't say anything until she was sure she wasn't going to hit another car or person walking passed. "You have a deal. I at least want to have one day or night out on the town with you before people catch on. Then you can ditch the disguise and deal with the hoards of fans as you usually do."

(Sorry I haven't been on! I have been crazy busy with school!)
Gabriel smiled slightly and shrugged. "Playing for fun would be alright, but it's just not the same without the competition," he admitted. He lived for it when he was playing. He loved the pressure of it all, knowing exactly what he had to do and being able to do it in a matter of seconds was unmatched to anything he thought he would ever do. "But I still like to play catch, usually with my sister so I guess that would make it softball. I can still sort of live through her though, I've taught her everything she knows after all," he joked. "I think that sounds like a fair bet. It looks like I'm going to be getting a free meal out of it," he said, a lopsided grin on his face. He was well aware that they both knew he was going to lose. He didn't necessarily think that he was going to be bad at horse back riding, but considering he'd never done it before, there was no way he could win a bet like this one. "I'm not much of a morning person, but I think I could suck it up for one day. I don't want you to have to switch up your routine for me. Just give me a time and place and I'll be there." Gabriel was surprised with himself how excited he was for this. He wasn't usually one to make spontaneous plan, especially not with strangers, but he could tell this was different. He wasn't entirely sure yet how or why it was different, but he was sure that it was.
---
Fletcher chuckled, shaking his head. "Maybe she's changed, Nichole," he said sarcastically, looking over at her with a smirk. "I doubt that she only likes me now because of my name. I'm sure it was a crush she kept hidden out of fear of rejection." He was doing his best to sound at least a little serious, but there was no possible way that anyone who actually knew Amber would take his words seriously. Everyone knew how she operated. Even if she did somehow magically get a date with Fletcher, he knew she'd only use it as a way to get more attention before she would end things with him. He wasn't even sure if she'd ever settle down in the future with anyone. It seemed unlikely. She couldn't possible like someone for that long. He eyed the road ahead of them and felt a wave of familiarity wash over him. It still felt surreal that he was finally back, like it could all be a dream and he'd wake up on a tour bus on the other side of the country. "I don't deal with a hoard of fans all the time," he argued, shaking his head with a laugh. "Just part of the time. I didn't have any when I got here, and I haven't said anything about coming home so hopefully we'll have at least a few days without anything. Once people know though, that's a different story." He glanced over at her and felt slightly worried. He'd missed her a lot, and he didn't really want anything interrupting their time together, and he also didn't want it to overwhelm her in anyway. He was a bit worried of what people would begin to say to her once they realized they were hanging out, people could be really mean sometimes.

(It's all good, Mop!)
Daisy could understand that. It was the same whenever she entered shows with her horse. There was a certain degree of pride and satisfaction in knowing she did as well as she did. If things went wrong, sure, that made her frustrated and nervous, but even if she didn't win, it was still exciting. "Well, it's good that you're still able to use your skills," she commented with a smile. "I'm sure she's great at the sport."
Not a morning person. Daisy couldn't help but smirk a little. The stables opened early, which was good for her. The girl was used to waking up at five in the morning to care for her horse before leaving for school. However, she felt as if that might be a little too much to ask for from her soon to be date. "Confidence. That's cute. You'll need a lot of it," she playfully teased. "How about we meet here at ten o'clock? It won't be a far trip to the stables from here, and it should give you plenty of time to wake up. Wouldn't want you to fall asleep in the saddle."
Nichole cast him a look that told him she wasn't buying a single word he said about Amber. "You haven't put up with her for the last few years," she said. "Believe me, the only thing that's changed about her is the guys she goes through." Turning her eyes back to the road. Until proof confirmed otherwise, she would believe that the girl had dated nearly ever guy in their school, and then some. She shook her head, wanting to put the topic of Amber behind them. "I'm not worried about the fan girls. There are plenty of places we can go hide out where they won't find us, and if they do, then we can find a way to handle them. I'm not worried about them stealing you away. In fact, I would like to see them try. I have a whole list of things I want to do while you're here, and I am not letting anything get in the way of that."
The road took them through town. They passed several small stores and gas stations, buildings that had been around for as long as they both could remember. Many of them were in need of repair, but none of them had received any remodeling. Nichole was heading to Fletcher's parents' house. She figured he would want to see them right away and stay there for his vacation. She would have offered for him to stay with her, but she still lived with her parents as well and they weren't the best company to keep. In fact, she couldn't stand staying there herself.

Gabriel nodding in agreement, a small smile on his face. There were very few things he loved more than his family, and he was glad that he had something to bond with his sister. He hated hearing people say they didn't get along with their siblings. He didn't really get it because for him, it was sort of like having a built in best friend for life. "Ten would be perfect," he quickly agreed, nodding. He didn't think that was too unreasonable. He was expecting much earlier, but he was alright with ten. "Don't worry about me falling asleep either, I definitely won't. I'll probably be freaking out way too much for that. Even though I'm a natural," he quickly added with a wink. "I seriously think you're underestimating the skills that are going to be shown to you."
---
Fletcher could help but laugh at her comment, know she was right. He wasn't sure how someone could have enough energy to go through people the say she did, but she had it mastered. "I'm not going to let them steal me away, I can promise you that right now," he said matter of factly. He wasn't about to spend his break entertaining people who didn't even know him. "I'm planning on spending as much time as possible with you. I've been waiting for this for so long, I don't want someone to ruin it for me." Just because she was confident didn't mean it wasn't going to be at least a little bit difficult. The one thing that comforted him was the knowledge that Nichole could hold her own. He'd seen her do it more than once, and he knew she'd have no problem proving herself once more. He smiled slightly at the thought and let his eyes trail over the thing outside the passenger window. The nostalgia of it all made him anxious to stop at all the places he'd grown up at, do all the things he used to do before all this happened. He could barely wait. "So what's all on the schedule so far?" he asked curiously, wanting to be prepared for whatever she had planned.

"Then I may just have to plan something that will show off all your natural talent," Daisy stated. Whether or not he realized what he was getting himself into, she was going to make sure that Gabriel would have a fun time. He talked big game, but she wouldn't try to push the activity on him if he found out horse back riding wasn't as enjoyable as it was for her. The girl took a final sip of her hot chocolate. As soon as she did, she had to turn her hand and cover her mouth as she coughed once more. And just when she thought her problem had went away for the time being. "Sorry," she muttered as soon as the fit was over.

"Well, first we're going to have an all night movie marathon filled with all the classics, both good and bad, original and cheesy. I have gathered up quiet the collection and have stocked up on enough popcorn to last us your entire vacation. Then, once we've had maybe two hours of sleep, we're going out for breakfast and explore the town. Not that anything as changed much. Everything's still more or less the same as when you left, but it'd be nice to just walk around aimlessly like we used to," Nichole explained. "Then anything else you want to do can be fit into the following days as I see fit."
