(lol it's perfect)
Ash looked back over at the group of people "You said there were three so who is the third? You didn't mention them" he said. He gently picked up Lowen and Finla "I need you two to stay back with your father. Me and Ollie will take care of this" He said before turning his attention back to Ollie. "But if we need to restrain them, who do we go after first? I'd say the weather controller since she seems like a larger threat right now" he said as he cracked his knuckles
(sounds good to me)
"Ha, you make it sound like getting near my family is easy, even if you and your gang have powers you wouldn't get close. They even take measures to make sure that I'm actually me whenever I do visit, as rare as that is" Lydia said with a smirk "But they're not exactly your powers, are they? I mean, you're just a leech that preys on powered people to use as you please" she added as she kept walking closer to Rosie. At this point, Lydia was only a few yards away from Rosie

(^^)
"The third is Lydia. She's on our side. Use your sense of smell instead of your vision. The other two aren't where they appear to be."
Lowen and Finla obeyed and wordlessly skittered away to their father.
"Just don't hurt her. Do what you can to work with Lydia. Once Rosie's restrained, I'll see what I can do to reverse the affects."
--- (Is Lydia seeing through the illusion right now? Is she heading towards the illusion of Rosie or where Rosie really is? I'll just write from all angles, that way we'll know what's going on. ^^)
The illusion of Rosie was standing in the middle of the street, grinning and laughing at Lydia..
The real Rosie, unseen by the normal eye, had moved to the sidewalk, purposely leaving Lydia between her and the newcomers. Static seemed to fill the air in that area. Yet unseen (by normal eye), her hair lifted in floating curls. Even the rain seemed to slow around her.
The illusion of hardlight Mensonge stood several yards behind Lydia, not far from the door of the building. The real Mensonge was hidden (by normal eye), sitting slumped just inside the door. (If not there, then in some sheltered quiet place nearby.)

Ash gave a quick nod "I'll try not to but no promises" he said before he took off in the direction of the battle. He made a wide circle in the hopes that they would lose him or not notice him. With the rain being so heavy it was going to be tough to track different scents. He would have to get fairly close to be able to tell who was who. He was having trouble finding the real girl since he knew that Rosie wasn't where it looked. That was when he smelled the change in the air, the smell of lightning and he quickly moved further out of the area as he tried to guess where Rosie could be. This was really starting to irritate him, his first day back in human civilization and he was stuck trying to find a little girl somehow invisible to the naked eye.
(gonna leave that open just in case you want Ash to be spotted)
(oh i didnt even notice lol my bad but yeah she's gonna keep moving towards fake Rosie until she realizes that she isnt there)
Lydia kept moving until she finally realized something had been off about this situation. The way Rosie was just standing there was almost unnatural, especially since most people would have already tried to create some distance. Letting Lydia get in close was never a good move after all. Lydia stopped in her tracks and started to try and sense for any light alterations, specifically from the Rosie in front of her. She realized that this wasn't actually Rosie and she narrowed her eyes. She hadn't even noticed that Mensonge hadn't- it was then that it hit her. She had known that he used his powers and she had turned her head to tell him to stop it. It must have been then that the real and fake Rosie had swapped places. She cursed her self for being so stupid for taking her eyes off her target. She looked over at Mensonge and realized he too was just another light illusion. Whoever was controlling him seemed to be a lot smarter than the person she had fought yesterday. It looks like she was going to have to change her target. She could sense that Mensonge wasn't too far from his little illusion. The purple armor and box surrounding Lydia disintegrated before she replaced it with the red bodysuit before she took off running towards the door of the building

(^^ Ah, I just have to work at explaining better. Realms and fake realities are difficult to explain sometimes. XD Funny that I have so many characters who use it.)
So she finally noticed. Alpha huffed to himself in amusement. He had to admit, despite Ringo's many faults, he was indeed a valuable asset. She was flashing for the doorway now. The hardlight Mensonge thrust out a blade at the incoming hero, but perhaps she was too fast. No matter. It was too late anyways. The door had no give if she attempted to open it. It would fly open, revealing a dark hallway. Once adjusted to the light, forms could be seen inside the room. Ollie, Starling, and Olga were lying there, fatally wounded. The illusion wrapped around Lydia., warping the scene behind her. In this illusion, the rain stopped and sky began to clear. (Ollie was seen by Ringo when he left the base earlier that day. Starling was also seen leaving the base earlier that day. From my recollections, they might assume Styx is already dead. Neither Ringo or Alpha have actually seen Esme or Cass, so they are not included.)
It was all fake of course. Ollie and Starling were just fine, and Olga was deeper inside the building. The rain still fell and the sky remained dark. Even the door didn't truly exist. The real door was concealed by more illusions. It was a short ways further and to the left. The group of newcomers were being troublesome. It seemed they had split up. The strong wolfish one was new. He hadn't seen that one around before. Might come in handy for later. The other one with an afro remained just as much of a mystery. He seemed to have disappeared again and Alpha could no longer sense him. It seemed that one was able to use some sort of mind ability. No matter. Alpha wasn't too worried. At this point, it didn't matter what they were planning. Do it, girl.
The lightning that had been charging around the real Rosie lit up the sky with its light. It streaked down at Lydia, whom was (assumably) within Ringo's illusion. As it struck (whether or not it hit), Alpha reached out, stabbing forth with his mind. She was a big fish, but a big fish perfect for controlling in this fight. His ability often blinded certain areas while making others all the more clear. In this case, love, mercy, kindness, loyalty, friendship- all these things would often be pushed far under while things like anger, revenge, bloodlust, hate, and the simple urge to fight took over. It would be a fight of wills. And if Alpha was successful, he could hopefully curb her darkness against her own little friends. In that moment, several things were happening at once. The rain lightened, and the illusions flickered away. The real Rosie and Ringo seemed to be on pause, staring off somewhere distant.
(Ah. I left lots of things to react to in one post. Oops. XD) (Of course, it's your choice as to whether or not any of it works. Basically, he's trying a partial control- a manipulation rather than absolute control. That way, you can still write your own posts either way. He has so much control over Rosie and Ringo because he knows Ringo and has controlled him before and Rosie currently has a weak mind.)
(After this plot, if I end up sticking around, I might try and avoid manipulative style abilities. There a tad too complicated to role-play for my liking.)

(Actually, after her little upgrade, I think it would only be fair she could be sensed. She gained some abilities, but lost some too.) ”If you think it’s so fun to kill the helpless, let’s see you be helpless.” Shadow snapped, bringing her hands down quickly, the tendrils of darkness following, slamming her target, wherever she was, into the ground. “Come now, we can’t both play hide and seek, own up to what you did, vermin.”Styx stopped abruptly, the smirk didn’t seem to escape her, and her red eyes narrowed, her voice turning back to the cold, threatening tone it seemed to bare most of the time, “And what’s that supposed to mean?” She questioned, the small girl clung to herself, pulling up her arm out of it’s cloak she was in, and looking at the scars that circled her wrists, like joints forced together, her fingers displayed out, before curling into a fist.(Is that so..? Duly noted. :3 I guess we'll see how this all unfolds then.) Whisper let out a cry of pain as she crashed against the floor. She flickered into view, entangled in shadows. This girl was this powerful? This was a major miscalculation on her part. Her short study of the hero base and it's members had failed to mention a girl with the power of shadows. After all, someone who couldn't be seen was difficult to properly study. She, of all people should know that. The kitchen knife she had used earlier was stabbed into the floor halfway across the room. After using pressure points to knock her unconscious, she had used it for a quick, practically painless death for the elderly woman, but at this distance, the knife would do her no good. There was only one option left, as much as she hated it. It all depended if she could move just enough to grab onto the gun hidden within her clothing at her waist. She struggled against the shadows, but said nothing. Her teeth were gritted closed. There was nothing to say at this point. There was no excusing what she had become.--- Anne couldn't hold it back any longer. A full smile spread on her face. "What do you think it means?" She chuckled softly then, her smile fading. "I have reason to believe they are still alive, but I wouldn't call their situation 'safe' per se."(Thought I'd post this incase you missed it! ^^)

(I love them Light!) "We've got our dragon?!" Isaac asked in surprise over the communications. "Hold on-" There's some shouting, and Isaac mounts his motorcycle once more. "I'm on my way now, the police have it mostly secure, and the national guard is apparently ETA 30 minutes!" ~ 13 smiled. Whoever this was, the cat had more experience with magic than he, most likely, to know the exact spell for this moment. He concentrated, and placed his hand against the roof beneath. In just a few moments, light appeared through the floor, in exactly the same rune as the cat had shown him. "Counterspell. This isn't a normal counterspell, is it? This must be of a level I've never even seen." He murmured. "This is why I was brought back, Lyra. This cannot be done by mortals unless they sacrifice themselves." Now, as the spell began to coalesce around him, swirling runes in the air surrounding his form, he shook away his fear. "The one person we can afford to lose. Myself- no one will miss me once I use this." Lyra bit her lip. No, this is not why she brought him back. She had hoped Zed and 13 would sync up quickly and come up with a plan, but instead, Zed was off to buy time along with the rest of the crew for 13 to send off this Counterspell a cat had given him. What a flurry of moments. And yet, the natural order always had a way of working itself out- 13 was supposed to be dead, and he was an opportunity to make something of it. She'd always hated the Gods, and the mysterious ways they worked. ~ Hornet ducked an eldrich beam of light, and rolled to the side as a ghoul leaped for her. She was getting tired, and nowhere fast. The longer Night stood there, the stronger his army became. It was like a factory of beasts, a crack in the earth now forming to release even more of his army out. He'd been making pacts, making deals while in the underworld, and was now bringing those to fruition it seemed. He was no longer just the most powerful necromancer in the realm, he was also an incredibly powerful warlock. Whatever evil deities fed him power now were incredible, as was he. Night had never stopped pushing to become stronger, and in this state, was a lesser deity by her estimates. She was only still alive because he hadn't gotten complete control of his abilities. A missile fired from the sky impacted just above Night, blocked by one of his minions throwing themselves in front of the attack. His attention was diverted from Hornet for just a moment to raise his free arm and fire another blast towards Zed. ~ Maxwell shook his head. "There's no time to look for another way out." But he gladly accepted the hug- it may be the last he got. He closed his eyes, and placed a small kiss on her forehead. "Find me when this is all done, okay?" A few moments later, he suddenly raised Lennox into the air, and threw her with all his might away from the city. Over the hordes and into the suburbia off the highway. The cat’s eyes widened, the green glowing as it slammed it’s right front paw onto the rune, drawing the magic away from 13, into it’s own body. A strange echo, a whisper started filling the air, “Chaos is order all on it’s own, 13. You being dead doesn’t fix the order, it only tip the balance in Night’s favor.” It whispered, almost voiceless, a whisper tickling in his mind.
“No one has to die,” it added, green eyes glowing as it looked back at him, almost pleading, “Enix, she still searches for you, she hasn’t given you up. You must find her,” the strange thoughts commented, “Please. I don’t want to see you die again. I just need a way to show you, to speak to you. Use the spell to power yourself, but not so much you’ll kill yourself.” It instructed. Lennox screamed out, hand outstretched towards him, as waves of noise washes away from her, her voice, powerful too. Still, it did no good for her in the end, she was gone, as Maxwell wished. (Thanks! ^^ I'll miss you all too.) Alarms blared within his suit and Zed spun out of the way before the magic blast could strike. It seemed his presence was known, but it was only to be expected. It would've happened sooner or later. Something on his shoulders lifted and flashed brightly as he rapid shot bullets towards Night. As he counter-attacked, he flew a wide circle around Night. It also seemed that his earlier assumption had been correct. Hornet was in fact here. He grinned behind his mask.(Just a little reminder for Samandriel. If you're busy, please pardon my interruption. This is just a little something incase you can't find it later. ^^)

(After this plot, if I end up sticking around, I might try and avoid manipulative style abilities. There a tad too complicated to role-play for my liking.)yeah im sure it is pretty difficult but you're doing great. I was probably not paying enough attention lol) When Lydia had gained enough speed, she launched herself towards where she had last seen Mensonge. As she soared through the air, the red suit disappeared only to be replaced by the purple armor. Lydia crashed into the illusion of Mensonge, the knife doing nothing except shattering from the impact before she realised that he had once again tricked her. Goddamn this guy is infuriating. It's just illusion after illusion with him, she thought to herself. She turned to the door which now appeared to be closed and went to open it. The door wouldn't budge which pissed her off a little and she just barely kept herself under control enough to not break it down with her blue hard light. The door swung open in front of her and what she saw made her freeze. She could see Olga, Blue, and Ollie all lying dead on the ground. She stood there stunned for a moment before she shook her head. She knew Ollie was safe since she hadn't left the building long enough for him to come back and he hadn't been the one to find Olga's body and the same went for Blue. Suddenly, she was hit by lightning in the back, causing her to stumble forward from the force and shattering her armor in the process. Lydia then felt a pressure hit her head, the feeling way too similar to what happened when she overused her powers. Lydia knew that wasn't the case just yet but if they kept destroying her hardlight, it wouldn't be long before that happened. Lydia hunched over in pain and held her head as she tried to figure out what was going on. It took her a few moments to put two and two together and realize that it had to be the mind controller. She tried to focus and push back against Alpha though she was definitely struggling to do so. This was something new to her after all, she hadn't been up against many powered humans before and definitely not one that can invade other people's minds like Alpha. (so i did another roll and she passed the first check but I figured it shouldn't be over that quickly if thats okay with you) Ash was still having trouble locating Rosie but when the rain started to lighten and the illusions started to fade away, he was immediately able to spot Rosie. He had actually managed to get fairly close to her and it didn't take long for him to close the distance between the two of them. He grabbed Rosie and picked her up before looking around. "Ollie! What do you want me to do with her? Knock her out or something?" He asked since he didn't know where the guy had gone

(Aw thanks. ^^ I don't blame you. You've been doing pretty awesome so far. It's a delicate question of power that seems to balance on the edge of godmodding or simply being too powerful. ;w; Synthesizing thought processes can be difficult at times, but that is also the joy of roleplaying. I don't know what I'm saying anymore... Now I'm thinking about talking of onions and layers and how that relates to layers of reality, but I probably shouldn't ramble on about random nonsense that comes into my brain. I'll stop here.)
(Ah. This is very good timing indeed. I was a little worried for Ash before, but Alpha can't attack him and keep his onslaught on Lydia.)
Ollie reappeared beside Ash and laid his hand upon the girl. The blue crystal around his neck lit up, casting a soft glow around the three of them. A few seconds later, Rosie's eyes seemed to close and her body went limp. Ollie let out a breath of relief. Much like it worked on Orion's control, it also worked on this unseen enemy. He whipped around then to check on Lydia. A flash of lightning had struck in that direction not long ago. Now it seemed she was hunched in some sort of pain. What happened?! Had that lightning earlier gotten to her? No, wait- she was holding her head. It couldn't be... Could this villain take control over people without even touching the person? It didn't take much mental reaching to find the truth. "The other guy is just inside the building. Knock him out if you have to. I'll join you when I can." He didn't know if such a harsh method would work, but the blue crystal could only split so many ways. He ran for Lydia who stood at the false front door. The false door faded from vision, revealing the true scene before them. Clear, dark skies and everything in it's proper place. Nonetheless, Ollie ran for Lydia. "Lydia!" He called as he ran.
With the loss of one puppet, the attack on Lydia only increased in pressure. She was strong, he'd give her credit for that, but he was so close. He could practically feel it. He could hardly give up the battle of will now. Lessening his control over Ringo, all the illusions in the area completely dissipated. Alpha pressed on, a dark drilling force against Lydia's mind. What is it that you fear? What is it that infuriates you? He was drawing upon any negative thoughts and feelings he could pull to the surface. And as for the direction he was directing this power... was the man running towards them. Ollie Edwards.
If successful, this could take form in a hallucination of sorts or a sort of blind rage. The hallucination would make the target (in this case, Ollie) appear to be someone the affected (in this case, Lydia) hated and desired vengeance upon. Blind rage could result from a mental prison of sorts of bad memories. If the negative emotions were drawn more upon fear, then the operation could take the approach of a more complete control, bending the controlled into a submissive state. Since Lydia was still like a wild, unbroken horse, Alpha didn't expect complete control to be an option as of yet.
If not successful, perhaps it just isn't Alpha's day. (XD But is this all the dreaded "Alpha Boss" has planned for this little band of heroes??? Find out soon, next time!)
Farlow and kids are in hiding. Although Alpha is aware of Ash and Ollie, the ferretings small size kept them from being noticed. For now... Since their brains are part animal, it confuses Alpha's sensing abilities as well. (That is because he's specifically looking for humans. He's actually able to control animals much easier than people.)
Ringo is in the hallway just past the door, slumped against the wall. He looks like he's sleeping.
(There we go. :3 I leave the next part of the story in your capable hands. Until next time. Signing off.) (I am in a very wierd mood tonight, so I apologize for any strangeties in this post. Though I have to admit, I had fun.)

thanks i keep worrying that im messing so it's good to hear that im keeping up lol. But yeah having a super strong power like that has definitely gotta be tricky to rp)
(yeah things might not have ended well if Ash got struck by lightning even with his regenerative powers)
Ash nearly jumped out of his skin when Ollie appeared right next to him. He wasn't sure how to feel about these powers of his since he couldn't even sense him coming. He watched Ollie work his magic and felt her body go limp in his arms. He knelt down and gently laid her down on the ground before standing back up. He looked over at where Lydia was now holding her head. It seemed like Ollie and Lydia were fairly close with how worried he was about her. Ash gave another nod towards Ollie "You better stay safe and not let your guard down. Whatever is going on with Lydia can happen to you too" he said before taking off towards the building in search of Mensonge. He entered the base and looked around before his eyes landed on an unknown man just slumped against a wall, sleeping. Ash walked up to the man and threw a punch at Mensonge's jaw "Didn't know until now how much I hated illusions" he said
Lydia shook her head as if that would help her get whoever was in her head out. This was really irritating her now. Someone just decided to barge into her head thinking it's free real estate and they thought they would get away with it? She was going to find whoever this was and rip him a new one. This man would regret ever having underestimating her and she would make sure that his little gang will be just as broken as he would be when she was through with him. Suddenly it felt like something snap as she heard someone calling her name and her head turned to where it was coming from. What she saw was a Russian looking man that she knew all too well. Her mind flashed back to a few years back, not long after she had received her powers. She had been with and become friends with a special ops team she had been around for a few months. They had helped her feel somewhat normal for the first time since she had gained her powers. She remembered being in a humvee, laughing at the jokes the squad were making. They had been on patrol that morning and nothing special had happened. There were a few IEDs but Lydia was able to take care of them fairly easily. It was when they stopped to check for another IED that all hell broke loose. Lydia suddenly heard something streaking towards them when the humvee in front of her suddenly blew up from an RPG hitting it. Lydia was knocked back from the blast and hit the ground hard and fell unconscious. When she finally woke, she was chained up and she felt that something was very wrong with her. A few moments later was when she had first seen the Russian standing before her now. Her first instinct was to check if it was another one of Mensonge's illusions but this time it wasn't the case at all. Seeing this man who brought back so many painful memories however brought all the anger and frustration that had been building up inside her ever since this entire scenario had started and came bursting out all at once. Blue hardlight coated Lydia's body as she dashed towards Ollie and went to hit him in the gut. She wanted this man to feel the pain that he had inflicted on her back then and she would enjoy doing so.
(well she just barely failed her next roll lol so hopefully Ollie can react before he gets hit with a super strength punch to the gut)

(It's the manipulative part that's most sketchy. ^^ Too many different points of view to keep track of. The hallucination part makes it easier, so I threw it in as an option.) (By the way, I just love how detailed Lydia's past seems to be. ^^)
Ringo's head was flung to the side from the force of the punch. His hat went flying through the air and rolled on the floor a few feet away. He slumped down on his side, his eyebrows pulled together. There was a scar on his right eye, and tattoos running from his left down to his neck and likely over his shoulder, though his coat covered that part. His face seemed to be pulled into a sort of grimace. Perhaps he wasn't fully unconscious. - There. The basis was set. Now anyone that happened to stumble upon her path would seem like an enemy.
Perhaps it could happen to him... But Ollie had the feeling that the attacker would be pushed back by the blue crystal, just like Zabyty was. Ollie slowed in his approach when she turned to look at him. He started to smile then. Perhaps she had been able to break through the attack. He took another step towards her. "Lydia, are you alright?" Next thing he knew, she had covered herself in blue armour and was launching herself towards him. His eyes widened, and he vanished just before she could strike him. A few moments later, he reappeared a short distance away. But there was only so many times he could use such a trick. "Lydia! It's me, Ollie! Someone is messing with your mind. If you can hear me, I need you to calm down." All he needed was a few seconds. Just a few seconds of contact, and the blue crystal could clear her mind. His gut still tingled from the earlier attack, and it made him wonder if it was just nerves at such a close call, or if her fist had actually grazed him before entering the forgotten realm.
However... Hallucinations were peculiar things. Not only could they warp what a person sees, but sometimes they could even warp the words a person hears, only furthering the delusion.

(now i feel kinda bad since I came up with that part of her backstory while I was typing it up lol. I didn't really have a whole lot planned for her time with the military but I figured that it would be a lot more interesting to actually have her be powerless at one point after getting her powers. It would have taught her some humility and would help her know that her powers aren't all powerful)
(poor Ringo though. Ash didn't have to do that lol)
Ash bent over and picked Ringo up before throwing the man over his shoulder as he started to walk back outside. He took a glance at the unconscious man on his shoulder "You're a damn idiot for attacking a group of powered people" he said. He hoped that Ollie had everything under control. He seemed like a decent person with a good head on his shoulders and he accepted Ash without any questions, though that may have been because of what was happening to the city right now but it was still nice that he didn't look at him like some kind of freak.
Before Lydia's punch had landed, she noticed that the Russian had disappeared. She scanned her surroundings to look for him and finally managed to spot him some ways away. A scowl formed on her face "So after everything you did to me, you finally managed to find a way to get some powers" she said as she glared at Ollie. "What did you come back for Zakhar?" She asked
Zakhar spread his arms wide open "Well if it isn't the great Aegis. How fortunate am I that I get to lay eyes on you once again?" He asked with a wide grin on his face. "It has been a long time since we saw one another, it should not be that surprising that I have gained some type of power right? We did spend so much time with you after all"
The blue hard light surrounding her changed to a red color "If your power has something to do with teleporting then I'll just have to get to you before you can react" she said before she dashed towards Ollie once again

(I mean, even if it's not fully planned, everything you've written so far fits very well together and makes for an interesting, heartfelt backstory.)
(Ah, Ringo won't hold much of a grudge. He's mostly hurting from overuse of his powers, so really, being unconscious would help him.)
Ringo flopped limply over Ashton's shoulder, like a proper sack of potatoes. His top hat remained laying in the hall. - Confusion flitted on Ollie's face. His words weren't reaching her, but what was even more mind-turning were the words she spoke. Zakhar? Who was he? It seemed she was under control of their attacker, but what she was saying made no sense... Unless- Perhaps the enemy used memories to blind the target. Was Zakhar someone she knew in the past? When he saw her armour turn red, he knew he didn't have much time to think about it. He took a step back and raised his metal arm as defence. That was all the time it took for her to reach him, a looming force of light. The look of fear and surprise on his face turned to a strange little smile of confidence. This single moment brought back memories of a similar scenario. Though different in several aspects, it felt very much the same in this moment. And even after everything that had happened, here he was, making the same choice. Funny, how life often seems to repeat itself.
(I will leave it open for your attack. ^^)

(thanks I try my best and I'm glad that you find her backstory interesting)
Ash exited the building and stopped in his tracks when he caught sight of Lydia attacking Ollie. It was something he had not been expecting but he figured it had to do with whoever the mind controller was. It seemed like he had managed to get into Lydia's head. He let out a few curses as he put Ringo down, leaning him up against a wall.
Lydia let out a flurry of strikes on Ollie. With her enhanced speed, she'd be surprised if "Zakhar" was able to actually dodge all of it. Every strike thrown at her target were targeted to hit vital areas, the chin, jaw hinge, solar plexus, the vagus nerve, trachea, temple, nose and kidneys. She could have gone for more dangerous areas like the base of the skull and given Ollie a rabbit punch but she had enough control over her anger right now to know that it wouldn't be smart to use lethal force. Besides, she wanted to make Zakhar suffer the same way he had made her

(^^ Mhm. I must admit, I've been really enjoying this. It makes me wonder if I should really give up roleplaying.)
Farlow had seen what Ollie was getting himself into, and after muttering some quick instructions to the kids in ferret-speak, he dashed out of the bush and straight for the action. As Farlow ran, he could see the blur of Lydia's strikes upon Ollie. He could only hope he'd reach them in time. - Ollie's metal arm made a meager defence for such an onslaught. He cried out in pain as several of the blows landed, his body flailing about with each blow. It almost seemed as if the fight was already over, but then his metal arm suddenly streaked out and caught her right fist, squeezing down with its unnatural strength as if trying to break through the armour. He lifted his head to look Lydia in the eye, panting as blood dribbled down from his mouth and nose. Flashes of his own memory were sent out from his metal hand to confuse her. A child, forgotten and alone... The face of one who remembered. In fact, it was a face seen on some pictures back in the base. The face of Holly... Arguing with Holly... Holly forgetting who he was... Holly stabbing him in the gut... And the anguish in her voice as everything turned dark...
He used the distraction to try and take hold of her wrist with his right (non-metal) arm and he closed his eyes as the blue crystal began to glow. A few seconds was all that he needed. A few seconds contact, and the blue crystal could do it's work. With one of her arms still free, perhaps that was too much to ask, but he had to try. "Whoever you are... As long as I breath, you're not taking a single one of my friends!" he muttered under his breath. "Lydia, wake up! Zakhar isn't here!" he called out, the blue crystal glowing bright.

( Protractor - No worries. ^^ Rosie is currently lying unconscious on the ground before the hero base. She had been under the control of Alpha. Ash (Lioncl's werewolf-like character) got hold of her, and Ollie freed her from Alpha's control. She fell unconscious due to the manner of the control and heavy use of her power. Now Ollie is facing Lydia, trying to free her from control. Ash and Farlow are close at hand.) ( Brokenstar - I might not be who you addressed, but the answer is yes. ^^ You can have have an antihero, a villain, a hero, anything you want. :3 Hope you don't mind my answering, Armageddidn't.)

glad you're having fun. I know there were a few times where I thought about leaving the forums as well but then I'd find an rp that started off being fun but they eventually died lol then it just became a cycle. This thread has lasted the longest though for a while I thought I was cursed)
Something was definitely not adding up as she watched the way "Zakhar" reacted to the landed strikes. Zakhar was a trained soldier and even with the flurry of blows, there was a proper way to defend one's body and flailing around like he was currently was obviously not the right way. But it seemed like he got lucky with the flailing because next thing Lydia knew, Zakhar had a hold of her arm and crushed the hardlight covering it. Lydia winced from the extreme grip now holding onto her arm when some type of vision shot through her head. A vaguely familiar face appeared in her mind, not one from her past though and not one that had anything to do with Zakhar. She saw multiple memories(?) flash through her mind when she finally realized who this girl she kept seeing was. She had something to do with the team though Lydia still didn't know her name or what happened to her. Seeing all this made stopped her movements and it felt like her mind was clearing up just a little bit. She could faintly what sounded like Ollie talking to her. Her mind started racing as she tried figure out why she could suddenly hear Ollie. Had the mystery man actually gotten into her head and made her see Zakhar again? But how did he manage to do that? Was he able to search through people's memories? She had so many questions going through her head and she needed time to figure them out which she currently didn't have with everything going on. Lydia closed her eyes and furrowed her brows "What the hell is going on?" She muttered mostly to herself

(Hehe, it just requires the right combination of people and plots to keep a role-play going. If there's at least two people who stick to it through thick and thin, it usually lasts a good long time. Sometimes if there is one person of base operations, the role-play will continue until they leave. Ah yes. My roleplaying willpower tends to be very fickle. But whenever I stop, I just end up wanting to do it again. These past few weeks, I've been making One Piece and Naruto characters. -shrugs-)
(Whoops, I was a little vague with the memories, wasn't I? XD The child was Ollie many years ago, then most of the Holly interactions were in the past year or two. It was the first thing he could think of.) (Flailing was my fill-in word for the typical body reactions to an attack. Like a punch to the gut would make him double over and a punch to the jaw might send him another direction. High speed attacks like this would result in Ollie appearing to flail about like seen in some anime. ^^ At least in my mind's eye.)
Alpha's control was being ripped away. And by this blue energy. He hadn't taken as much notice when Ollie had done it to Rosie, as focused as he had been on Lydia. But now the evidence was undeniable. He couldn't attack Ollie's mind either, due to the blue crystal he held. This man must be dealt with and quickly.
Ollie turned his head to the side and coughed a couple times. He lifted his piercing hazel gaze to meet Lydia's once more. She seemed to be responding somewhat, but he didn't know if she was fully recovered and he didn't want to let go until she was. "Lydia," he repeated, no longer yelling. "Can you hear me?" His body ached, yet he continued to stand, staring deep into her eyes as if he could find her somewhere inside them.
Farlow grew to his ferretman form somewhere behind Ollie, his hand on his sword. But it seemed Ollie had it all under control. "You're too reckless," Farlow admonished with a frown.
It seemed there were two hybrids. Alpha had already been aware of the wolf, but the ferret was new, having run onto the scene only a short while ago. A smile spread on Alpha's face. His first target would be the wolf... Yes. Then he'd take the sword-wielding ferret as well. That should be enough to cause some havoc. In a much similar way to how he had attacked Lydia, he reached out like a drill at Ashton's mind. What kind of darkness could he dig up from this mind? There were two people he planned to direct the hatred towards. Ollie was the main target of hate, but Lydia was also included as a lesser target. Farlow would remain mostly the same..
(And no, this will not be an endless cycle. I have a plan. :3 But don't let that stop you from doing anything you want.)

(Right, imma start roleplaying here. Just gonna jump in and be pg-13)
He was alone on the sidewalk, hidden in the shadows. He was insecure about how he now looked, since he sold himself. Suddenly, he saw somebody mugging two people. He needed to act. He ripped up a nearby flagpole, snapped it in half so that it would have a sharp end, and, in an act that could be viewed as evil, he impaled the mugger with it, killing them. The pair of civilians ran in fear as Automaton picked up the metal pole and stabbed the robber a couple more times. "That should do it.", muttered Automaton. He had racked up quite a negative reputation there, and was known as a murderer to most everybody. He preferred the term executioner.

Farlow would remain mostly the same..(And no, this will not be an endless cycle. I have a plan. :3 But don't let that stop you from doing anything you want.) (oh damn sorry I should have paid more attention again) (yeah I guess I've never really been one to be the one to drive a plot lol. It's usually someone else who does it and then they just poof. But oooh, I've made a few One Piece and Naruto characters as well. Those can be really fun especially making your own devil fruits and jutsus, their fighting styles, everything really) Lydia opened her eyes some, it almost felt like her vision was swimming at the moment. Her vision was stuck between seeing Zakhar and Ollie though it was slowly leaning more on the Ollie side. She could actually hear what he was saying now too though it was as if Zakhar were saying it. Lydia let out a groan "Yeah I can hear you. I'm gonna wring the bastard's neck when I find him though" she said through gritted teeth. Ash had managed to close the distance between him and the group and had been about to put Lydia into a hold but it seemed like it wasn't needed. It seemed like Ollie had everything under control and didn't need his help right now. He let out a sigh of relief but it seemed like it was too soon for him to celebrate because next thing he knew, a massive migraine hit him. He hadn't had one like this since he had gotten shot in the head that one time. It felt like someone was digging their way into his mind and now Ash was the one to double over grasping his head. "Farlow, what the hell's going on?" He asked. He could see flashes of his past, large needles filled with different serums, other children in various states of deformities. The majority of them having various lupine features mismatched over their body. Scientists surrounding his secured body as they injected him with multiple serums and conducting various tests. He hated that entire facility, especially the scientists who had done this to his body and he could feel the anger inside of him rising. It almost felt like he was going feral which had not happened in a long time and he let out a snarl as his pupils became slits and his hackles rose

(Shadowflame: I'd role-play with you, but most of my characters are tied up right now. If you can't find anyone to role-play with, let me know and I'll see if I can free one.) --- (Hey, no worries. It teaches me what I need to be more descriptive on. ^^)
(Yeah, for sure. ^^ I have a few different fruit ideas, but it seems I still lack some creativity in the Jutsu area. I enjoy all the different parts in making characters as well. It's fun to find all the different angles you can come up with.)
Ollie let out a breath of relief and released his hold, his metal hand lowering to touch his midsection as he took a step back. With his other hand, he wiped away a trail of blood from his chin. Whoever this Zakhar was, he could only assume the man had done something horrid to stir up such wrath. "The enemy is messing with our minds. We need to be more careful from now on." Ollie commented, finally risking a glance at the others. "Ashton, Farlow, co-" he abruptly stopped when Ashton suddenly doubled over. He was too late! The attack had already begun. Ollie took a step towards him, thinking to reach him before the control could take affect, but Farlow stopped him with a hand and stepped in front of him. Ashton's snarl was proof enough that Ollie wouldn't have made it in time.
"You'd think after your last little confrontation, you'd think a little before yo-" Farlow was the one to double over this time, clutching his head with one hand. After seeing it twice, Farlow knew fair well what was happening. "You two get out of here..." he muttered through gritted teeth. "Find them... Put a stop to this." He stumbled away from Ollie and Lydia, even as memories flashed into his mind. It was long, long ago, in the middle of the war. It was the war between the guardian beasts and the humans. Farlow had been a skilled swordsman leader of his platoon, and yet he tired of the fighting, longing for peace. He had been so close to achieving this peace. An arrangement had been made. But someone had other plans. A young woman met him the night before the meeting. In a place where no creature could hear them, she unfolded her plan of destruction on the guardians of the animals. She left him, forgotten and lost for too many years to keep track. By the time he was returned to reality, it was far too late to do anything. There was no sign of the guardian beasts. He could only presume her plan had succeeded and the guardian beasts had all perished, their chance at peace dashed by the actions of a selfish girl. Even his own kind had nearly gone extinct because of humans. As guardian of the ferrets it had been his job to protect them, and he failed. Farlow's deeply buried anger towards humans was brought to the surface. Lydia and Ollie became hallucinations of everything he hated. Conniving, cruel, superstitious humans who needlessly hunted his kind and all that he strived to protect. Farlow whipped around to face both Ollie and Lydia, his teeth bared and his sword clutched tightly in his hands. His sword lifted and he ran towards them with swift steps.

Lydia shook her head as her vision finally cleared "No shit Sherlock. Anyone with a brain could have figured that out" she said. She looked over at Ash when she noticed the way Ollie was reacting and recognized that Ashton was being taken over by their mystery powered person. It was then that she noticed that the same thing was happening to Farlow which caused Lydia to let out a string of curses. "Ollie, we can't leave them like this. Who knows who they could hurt with this guy manipulating them. I'd probably be in the same boat if it weren't for you. So, I'm gonna try to restrain them while you take away his control, got it?" Lydia asked as she surrounded herself with purple hard light
Ash's head snapped in the direction of Ollie and Lydia as he heard the latter speak. He did not see his new comrades at all but instead saw scientists holding syringes. Suddenly, Ash lunged towards the two of them using all the strength he had in his legs and went to tackle the one closest to him which happened to be Ollie but Lydia put herself in between the two.
Lydia was surprised at how powerful Ash actually was. If she weren't wearing her armor then Lydia was sure that most of her bones would have broke as soon as her and Ash had made contact. Lydia was still pushed back a few yards from the impact and she kept a hold on Ash the entire time "Ollie, over here! Now!" Lydia ordered, if Ollie could get over to her before Farlow got to him then she could keep Farlow away while Ollie did his thing
