(My mom used to collect them, so I became pretty desensitized to them XD)
"I don't know, but I'd rather not take any chances if they do." Seraphina said as she looked over at Scarlet, a grim look in her eyes. "This is a strange time we are entering, the time of the demons. With so many roaming around England now, the reapers are surely to grow even more wary as well. I've had Jonas and some of our partners look into noble disappearances and reappearances within the last couple years, so hopefully soon we will have a collection of the names to be concerned with." She explained, stopping in front of a rosebush and holding a delicate red flower between two of her fingers. "Starting with this young man, we shall have to keep our guards up; we don't know who else has a demon within the shadows."

(Haha, my grandmother has a few dolls, but luckily they're not creepy. XD )
"Do you think, perhaps, that his findings of the disappearances were in the papers that were stolen from Jonas?" Scarlet mused. Of course, the maid at his estate had told her that several other clients' paperwork had been stolen as well, but since she didn't know the contents of those papers, she could only assume what was in the ones for Seraphina. "If someone, or something, is in charge of all of these other occurrences, then they would be sure to keep investigators off their trail."

"It is certainly a possibility, we know not how many others do work similar to us." Seraphina murmured softly as she looked around at all the people who worked under her. "Some of our men and women are combat trained, oorrect?" She asked, now more than ever taking no chances.

Seraphina glared at Scarlet at her last statement, not sure why she would say something so absurd. "Fond, sometimes I wonder if that is a word I actually know." She said with a shake of her head, stopping in front of her workshop and checking the lock before unlocking it and stepping inside. "Perhaps the only thing I am fond of, is continuing my family's work." She said, flipping on a light and looking around until she walked over to a desk and set her sketchbook down.

Seraphina tilted her head slightly as she glanced at Scarlet, "is my work strange Scarlet? Have I perhaps taken a wrong path in designing my creations?" She asked suddenly, picking up an old doll, one that always remained on the shelves of the workshop. Her parent's last doll, one that was suppose to go to stores, but instead was hidden away, a one-of-a-kind and a last memento to the family she never got to see alive again.

Seraphina shook her head, "because firing a demonic maid is actually possible. Come now Scarlet, you need not speak as if you were a normal maid when we are alone." She said as she returned the doll to its resting place, moving her skirt around before she sat down at her workshop and started fiddling with her last prototype, which she had been working on since their last model arrived. When she was working with her models, she often wore clothes that would rarely be seen on women, but now, the prototype doll had been already created, so there was no need for such a strange outfit. She smiled lightly at the doll, admiring the fine hair and delicate details, down to the smallest scars that appeared to be painted onto the surface to give it a more realistic appearance.

Seraphina sighed softly, shaking her head, "not my family, like I do. My mother made beautiful dolls with so much liveliness to them, however her creation of them was simply a natural born gift that I did not receive. I simply found a way to mimic that liveliness, with actual liveliness." She said, setting the doll down and picking up a paint brush, adding some small freckles to the fair cheeks. "As for where and when, we promised the Queen we would only use what is supplied to us."

"I am sure many would be interested, but I am also sure it would be severely frowned upon as well. I would rather not be accused for witchcraft two hundred years after the witch trials have ended." Seraphina explained, shaking her head at such thought. It was a morbid thought, thinking of what other people would do if they found out how her dolls were created. It certainly wasn't by any human technological method, something that would call for the cry of witches. "As for looking outside of England, I am unsure of how that would fair with the customers. All of my creations have been English dolls, I have never made an American or Asian doll, neither did my mother before me."

She made a fair point, but, being the demon she was, Scarlet still didn't share the same concerns for the process that her master did. However, she decided to let the subject drop. "Who knows, if you started to make American dolls, you may find buyers from that country," she pointed out. "It would be a good increase in business, and it would promote your work. If you wish to expand your company, than it might be something to look into. Maybe you could make an experimental doll, a limited edition if you will, to test the waters."

"Scarlet, even I am aware that my time here has been cut short due to recent events." Seraphina muttered softly, holding her hand up and removing her glove, looking down at the contract seal on the inside of her wrist. "While I do enjoy the idea of expanding the company beyond the great ocean, it is difficult as well to fathom the idea because upon my death, the company will no longer be standing." She said, looking around herself at the shelves of prototype dolls.

"Galileo, Edgar Allan Poe, Bach, all three are well known today, but in their own time they were nobody." Seraphina answered simply, putting her glove back on before picking up the doll she was working on. "My family, my company, even myself, there may be no meaning in the time that we were alive. That does not stop my name from spreading, and someday, these dolls will be priceless antiques, incapable of being replicated even by masters of the same trade."
