Featherwing"Oh dear that is no good." Derrick frowned in concern then turned his body to face her directly. He leaned forward a bit to see the bruises. "I-I can't have you work in these conditions." His voice held concern. "You should rest, and perhaps we push our agenda another day." He suggested. "I can tend to everything here at the camp myself, as well as the Princess's affairs. Just like she was hurt you as well need to get that looked at." She frowned as she nodded in defeat. "Alright, just don't push yourself too hard. My builders should be out already. They won't need too much guidance, just check up on them whenever you think you should." She grabbed her notebook from her pack and flipped through a few pages. "There are some herbs that grow locally around the clearings here. If you can find a few I'd greatly appreciate it." Auransky

featherleg Derrick smiled at the thought. "Aye I shall go gather the herbs you seek. I am guessing they have healing properties if worked right?" He raised a brow watching her flip through the pages. "Just relax, and I should be here in no time." He assured her getting up from the bed and stretching side to side. From there he walked over to the side where his armor awaited. While awaiting for her response he began adjusting in onto himself.

"Most of them having healing qualities. Three of them are used in teas to help relax muscles. We use to harvest them daily so our elders could carry out their days peacefully without worry." She placed her book down as she looked back over to him. "Is there anyone that could train the kid in sword training? He doesn't seem like he knows how to properly wield one yet, and I'd rather him start on something while I rest to keep his mind occupied." Auransky

featherlegDerrick nodded, "I will go with no fail." He assured her calmly then turned his expression to consideration when she asked about sword fighting. "Well..." He now thought with his head slightly tilting. "W-We have Grayson who knows more about sword fighting then anything, but after events that took place yesterday; can I really trust Grayson with rowlin..." HE frowned then shook his head. "No I'm certain it will be okay. He can work with the boy on the basics and the proper way to hold it. That way when you begin to work with him; you wont begin completely at square one." He knelt down to lace his boots. "I will send one of my own knights to observe and assure-that everything will be alright." He somewhat hesitated.

Celestia's brows furrowed as she looked back up at him. "What happened yesterday?" She closed her book and faced him entirely. "If this Grayson fellow is going to be training my pupil, I'd better know now than after he's done learning his basics." One of the few things she took very seriously was her training, both with herself and those she taught. Not many mages or witches focused much of their time being a teacher until much later in their lives, but being a Lunarias gave her knowledge that would take years to find and understand completely. Being in the position she was born into allowed her to exceed her parents and elders expectations as she mastered more techniques than others had previously. Hence why she tried her best to help others understand their own powers through her own training. Auransky

Derrick was hoping this question would not arise. He was slowly making his way towards the door, when she asked so he stopped and turned with a rather 'don't kill me look.' He crossed his arms now, gripping himself for whatever may come his way. "Well you see..." He began, "There was an incident yesterday involving Grasyon attacking Rowlin during a patrol. Rowlin was on a tree, and Grayson used a bow to shoot him down; it opened a few wounds, but nothing Aika couldn't assist with. N-Now do not worry too much, the princess gave the entire group a stern meeting. This meeting included teamwork, and the importance of unifying rather then going against, but still-" He shrugged. "Boys are boys, carried by impulse." He frowned slightly. "-But still it-Grayson is at the top for swordsmen around here."

Closing her eyes, she tapped her fingers against her arm. "Well, if the princess wants them to work as a team, this should be the first step towards that. I won't give them another talk since I know how strict the princess can be in hers, but if Rowlin gets injured again in the same degree, I'll make sure to handle it on my terms." Pushing herself off the bed, she stood in front of him and did some slight adjustments to his armor. "If you keep tying your armor that tight you'll get bruises just as fast as I do." Stepping back, she examined his armor before nodding to herself. "Well, I won't keep you any longer, though I wish I could." Auransky

featherleg"I invite you dearly to come give the boys a talk." Derrick chuckled, picturing her standing firm. Though gentle, still firm with her word. "But yes, if something goes wrong, you will surely be the first to know-" he fell silent seeing her force herself off the bed, as she approached him his face lit up a tiny bit. Having her this close was comforting, and having her adjust his wardrobe felt, pleasant. "Thank you as always, Celestia." He provided a childlike smile. "Now rest , and only get up if it is a must. Otherwise have myself or any other fetch your needs." He encouraged lightly. "I shall get the two boys started, check on Aika then head off to the woods. O-oh brother I feel like a father." He blinked in realization. "A camp full of boys, and two girl's wounded. My-my day really is full of surprises." He snapped his fingers. "Nonetheless, I'm off." He raced out without waiting for another word. Should she need something or really seek his attention, he was certain that she would do so, somehow. Whether it be an ability or another knight. Magic can extend to messages, right? He now wandered making his way through the camp. Spotting Grayson up ahead he sped up. "My boy!" Derricks called out. "Good morning derricks." Grayson blinked. "I need to ask you a favor." Derricks smiled. "Yes of course, what is it?" Grayson tilted his head. "I am removing you from today's tasks, and asking you as a companion for this personal task." He leaned in on the boy. "If you could work with Rowlin on sword technique, that would be of great help." Grayson fell silent, his excitement nearly died wholesome. He looked away for a moment, "should I really be tasked with this?" His voice sounded uninterested. "Despite your actions, we have no choice. You promised the princess you would do your best to work as a team" Derrick reminded him. "R-Right.." Derricks nodded, "push your thoughts wise. Whatever you think, consider this a task for the princess. After all this is all for a cause. We serve the princess, and we all are a part of her team. " receiving a nod, he nacked away. "Thanks!" He stated then ran off once again; this time heading for Aika's quarters. Arriving to her cabin he slowed to a stop and waited for a moment outside before walking in. Once in the living room he took a moment to breathe. just to check on her..m he approached the room she was in, but stopped at the side, he knocked slowly before, "Princcess, I have come to check on you." He softly spoke. If she doesn't respond ill peak in to assure she is sleeping, then come back later...

"You're right about that." Her brows raised with a rather accepting manner. "Maybe I've considered the consequences and responsibilities of my actions too much. Enough of that though, thank you for helping me brother." She placed her hands on his upper arms and gave them a light squeeze, the stone cold look she usually maintained her eyes only now melting with a look of familiar warmth and content. "Not a problem," Lucas said as a slight smile crossed his face. This had taken his mind of feeling like a mess and a terrible person overall, and for that he was thankful. "That's what family's for."

mintedstar/fur🦇 Rowlin felt a shiver go down his spine, That feeling of being watched- He hesitated but decided to shrug it off by quickly pulling out a piece of paper from a pocket on the side of the messenger bag. Probably just my imagination-this is a city...there are a lot of people out here. It would make sense to get that always watching feel, right? The paper had a list of different places to stop by and visit. He recalled the kind girl who had taken the time to help him out. I could stop for something across the street- everyone in the office mentions it's good. He stopped at the curb of the street then looked in both directions before crossing; while it was not something most VDA members would approve of, he could easily pass off as a high school delinquent; visiting the office for whatever reason. Making it across the street he glimpsed behind him to assure Yan wasn't for some reason watching him. She's shun me for sure... Seeing as Yan was nowhere to be seen he looked among the tables towards the outside of the cafe; coincidently seating himself across from where Tom was. Yet he didn't make any eye contact instead checking the paper at his list at hand. If I'm right... Ah, yes, thought Tom. Definitely feeling suicidal today.
The VDA officer was sitting right across from him. Tom didn't know if he knew that the Betrayed had been watching him, but he was still to close for comfort. Well, Tom had wanted something to do today. He looked around for a waiter, but by now they all knew he wasn't going to get anything. So, he couldn't fake that he'd just come here. So, what should he do now? He was probably just going to have to wait him out, but what fun was that? He was in town, after all, and that choice to come back said that he wanted to see what was happening. He stood, pushing the metal chair back. The legs made a painful scrape against the concert floor. He walked over to the next table where Rowlin was sitting. Tom coughed and pointed at the remaining set. "Is anyone sitting here?" he asked.

She chuckled under her breath as she started to clear some of the dust and snow that had gathered in the center room away, revealing a massive stone slab that had been hidden previously. It was engraved with symbols of the stars, all aligned around the phase of the moon. She sat down in the center and closed her eyes, the palm of her hands facing up as silver like energy flowed around her. Hearing a knock at the door, Aika closed the book she was reading and looked over towards it from across her bed. "R-Right, enter as you will." Auransky

mintedstar/fur🦇Rowlin put the paper down on the table as his attention turned towards the new comer. He was thinking of trying to be funny but the more he thought of how he could of approached the empty seat, the more he decided against such a childish thought. "Go on , right ahead." He invited with a gentle wave. His eyes skimmed over towards the menus which sat neatly on the table. He slowly picked one up then began to dive in with curiosity. "You wouldn't have any recommendations? " He asked Tom in a tone full of curiosity. "I'm open to suggestions." featherleg"Much appreciated." Derricks walked in calmly. Once in the room he took quite quick long ok around before turning his full attention to the princess. "My lady.. I just am here to check on you. Your condition, your being, or just anything that comes to mind." He politely asked. "Lady Celestia will too be resting today due to some minor injuries, but I assure you that everything is on up most orders. The morning scouts are out, and the carpenters should be working throughout the day." "Alright come on." Grayson marched through the camp. "We're going to work in the woods, alright? " He turned back to see Rowlin. "Just do your best and if it is too much tell me.to stop" "A-Alright." Rowlin followed after. "But why is Ungus coming?" He raised a brow. "Ungus uses daggers, therefore some postures are shared between sword and dagger. In times of war coming to both alternatives is a must." Grayson lectures. "A-Alright.."

She nodded as she glanced down at her lap. "I'm fine, thank you. My dizziness has been broken thanks to your help. My memories are coming back....primarily from the first assault on the castle." Visibly she tensed up as her hands gripped the sheets the laid on her lap. "What pains me is that I can only remember the moments before I became... this. I still can't remember my mother or fathers names or what they looked like. I can only remember the blade that brought me here and the coldness that followed." She took in a deep breath as she looked up at Derrick. "I do remember an Emblem however. It looked something like this." She grabbed her notebook and walked over to him, showing him a brief sketch she did of it: two flames that arced and twisted against each other with two hands between them, one facing down towards the other as if they were trying to grab hold. "This was on the clothes of the person who...well...attacked me. I figured it might prove useful in your search for whomever betrayed us then as well as Sir Vincent's incident." Auransky

"That is very much good news." He smiled at the thought. "In no time you will be back up and about telling at these boys to stop slacking off." He lightly joked. When she mentioned the first assault he fell silent for a moment. "To attack the heart of our dreams was this a troubling scene." He softly commented. "But do not beat yourself up over unanswered ed questions. It will come over time, and if you take some time to do what you most enjoy, then over time fragments bloom. Some happy others more darkened then the events of recent." He approached to take a better look at the sketch. Seeing the sketch sent shivers down his back, "Y-Yes... the very same." He clenched a fist to hold back his frustration. "They are everywhere fighting the forces which side by you and your beloved family. They cry out lies, and disgust against royalty. B-But.." He paused now. "This symbol is most familiar , before the war broke out." He leaned back a little to think. It took a bit but something came to mind. "Gamblers....Mercenaries... Preachers....." He muttered trying to put an image together. Suddenly he snapped his fingers, "Before they gained this massive scale!" He jumped. "Vincint and I were at the castle town. I was showing him around the town because up to that point he had never once Ben there. This was before the attack, but we were walking through a lower district and out there was a group captivating an audience." He paused. "They spoke of unlawfulness , broken powers, and that change is among us. That they will be our saviors-" he looked at the sketch again. "That through their hands the fires will rise and burn all that is opposing below us."He leaned a little again tapping his feet a little on the ground. "They talked about rising to the top where everyone would be equal. And that was okay, but-soon they mentioned that God has bestowed upon them something unheard of to everyone. That what we dream, and what we are told 's myth, is in truth real. They mentioned that fire will rage, and that every citiZen of pure heart will be able.to control it. Now this is when things were of concern. They told the crowd that the royal family was corrupted at best. As punishment the gods bestowed themwith a truth , this truth would show the real side of royalty and curse them to forever walk. That they would feel cold, and tempted to rip out the hearts of their own people..." He fell silent, "the knights on duty had finally arrived. Hence the group fled, and while I discussed it with Vincent. I told him it was just lies. Vincent told me to look at it all again, that everything said had a double meaning. Which at first I thought he was thinking too much, but after working behind the scenes with certain troops I have come to see that the dead man was on to something." featherleg(I tried my best to keep the intentions vague by just giving an incident that ignintes reason. Auransky Worst VDA officer in the world, thought Tom. He's to trusting of total strangers.
But then again, Tom had wanted to do something out of the ordinary, so having lunch with someone with the VDA (or watching them have lunch) was certainly not a day-to-day occurrence. "They make good sandwiches," said Tom, with an undertone of interest because he didn't know how this would go. Not like he'd ever tried the sandwiches, but they at least looked edible. And the few other patrons he'd seen seemed to enjoy them. Tom also picked up a menu, for appearances, and his eyes looked over the Drinks section. It wasn't very interesting. Just the usual.

"I-I guess I may have to settle for a sandwich then." Rowlin chuckled lightly at the thought. His bright green eyes skimmed through the menu rather quickly but he still was unsure as to what he wanted to settle for. "Sandwiches-j dunno... I mean they taste good depending on who and what's in it, but there should be at least alternatives on the menu. Snails, cockroaches, all igator, Am arillo, or aq uatic worms...." He spoke his thoughts softly, from time to time his Irish accent would emphasize particular vowels, but it was plain as day to see him work his hardest to maintain an American accent. His phone went off , "well speak of the devil, I talk about aquatic worms, and the person who blindly fed me the shell of feather worms messages me." He had taken the phone out of his messenger bag. His fingers skimmed across the screen, "so-what sorts of bizzare food have you encountered?" mintedstar/fur🦇

He could share quite a few 'bizarre foods' because he'd been all around the world. But he couldn't accurately tell the other man if any of it had been good.

mintedstar/fur🦇"Buffalo?" Rowlin raised a brow of interest. "Now that isn't too bad, I've had a few a while back. Endangered yes, therefore expensive, but worth it once in a while." He finished the oddly long text before locking the screen and leaving the phone on the table. "Feather duster worms is the name people call them based on observations. The real term is a Sabellidae; they are found in coral reefs sticking to Coral as a hallow shell with feathers sticking out. The feathers bring in little plankton and other small bacteria into its tube where the worm resides in and eats the day away. Filter cleaners, gorgeous creatures but most people freak out when they find out they are worms. The tubes they live in are made of their own calcium mixed in with bits and pieces of floating shells, and whatever else you think snails let loose through their skin." He waved an energetic hand, "anyways ! My friend called me up." He performed a hand gesture to indicate phone, "he called and was like, hey! Let's meet up in thailand , since we haven't hung out for a while. With that we planned the summer and flew down to Thailand. Went scuba diving did all the great stuff and he takes me to dinner. We take turns with food when we meet up, so he takes me to a nice restaurant near a Cliffside, family restaurant type ordeal, and my friend orders everything calmly. Everything was delicious mind you, and some of it looked questionable. But we get to the worm and it's provided on a little plate on bundles similar to French fries. I go trying eat then find myself in love. So I dig in so does he. It was after that I asked him, and he told me what it was. Worm's ozzy goodness mixed with shells, and whatever else floats in the ocean. Boy did i loose my appetite." He snapped a finger. "Just like that."

(Hmm probably someone new that isn't part of the key group we've made) "From what I've read in my past journals, the wedding was arranged to help our kingdom and the princes as well. We needed to....expand our reach for agriculture reasons and they needed access to the water systems we had secured overtime. By combining the two, both of our kingdoms--in theory--would have benefited extremely. Citizens would have better jobs and improved life's. And now, it just seems like a dream." She nodded in a hopeful manner to his response. "Maybe this is too direct of a question but...do you think I'm doing the right thing? Am I actually suited to be the leader of you all?" Auransky

featherleg(Do you want to make the character, or should I? I have no preference on the matter. ) Derrick nodded, "such pure intentions, but greed is only as strong as death. For all we know the other side wanted more, or maybe the people want to overthrow both sides. Leave no power standing and walk right inror the taking." He relaxed a bit now towards her question. "Princess..." He smiled now , his darkened gaze lighting up slightly. "Rather then asking such a question, you should ask yourself why you stand where you do. Why you are here, and what answers you seek from such a broken day." He coughed now "but in all honestly, you are doing a fine job. Given the circumstances, and the position of limitation, you are doing a fine job with everything." He assured her. "Dont question yourself, if i remember.." He lightly scratched his cheek, "you wanted to prove a point, now think what that could be." He turned, "well I shall get everything ready at once. Will you like every one at one place, or will you ask a few to go through everyone's cabins to inspect their items?" He crossed his arms. "Celestia could perhaps read the minds of the soldiers on the spot. We ask questions or give them a speech for motivation. Some thoughts may arrise against the speech, or curse our cause." He suggested. "At the end of the day, it is tour call."

(I think you could probably handle it best since you have a better idea of Vincent's character than I do) She slowly nodded as she mulled over his words. "I'd like this to be down in a peaceful manner. We're suppose to resupply today, yes? Maybe include the inspection while restocking everyone's rations? If Lady Celestia is still resting, I don't want to disturb her." To think, they would be stationed in her own village. "I can only imagine how hard it is to be back here now for her. They evacuated the village months ago, but to see it damaged like this..." Auransky

In response, Lily pulled her ring of keys out of her pocket. She spun it around on her finger for a moment, listening to the quiet jangle. "Right here." The two walked up to the house, and Lily let them in, locking the door behind them again. It was unlikely James would try to get in the house, and even if he did, he had his own keys. He'd be fine. Nariko naturally fell onto the couch in the living room, dropping her bag next to her. "So what was the deal you got on the car this time?" Considering how long it took her to talk to the salesman, she was hoping it would be a steal. Rosestar "A steal. I have to go back there to finish paperwork and pick everything up, but it's a done deal. Should be great addition to my junk collection. I'll be going there again." Lily grinned, plopping down on the couch next to her.

featherleg ((M'k )) Derrick looked to the side for a moment, "Yes today we are re-supplying" He nodded firmly at the thought. "Hmmm-that would not be a bad idea." He considered. "Alright then, I will gladly tend to that as well-but in order to keep up with my Angenda I must get going." He nodded at the thought. "When I spot any signs, or anything relating, shall I shall bring them here, yes?" He raised a brow.

"Glad to know your junk collection is growing still." She grabbed a comic from her bag and curled into the side of the couch. "Also, sorry I have to stay here again for the week. Mom said she's knee deep in work, apparently a lot of people have been getting injured so she's working overtime. And Dad is just as busy with his court cases." While her family was certainly wealthy, it lacked the love and familiarity that she only got when she stayed with Lily and her family. "Just...let me know if I can help around the house, okay?" Five quivers of arrows later, Aika dropped down onto the ground and pushed the sweat away from her brow. She could feel the slight rush of adrenaline hit her as the area around her left wrist began to faintly glow. Glancing around to make sure there were no cameras on, she took a look at her wrist to see what she dreaded: golden branches with red petals. The seal is breaking again... Sighing to herself, she grabbed her jacket and headed back to the locker room. Rosestar

"Bring them here, but also bring people you trust to keep us guarded." She sat back down, returning to her notes. "Thank you again Sir Derrick. Your guidance is deeply appreciated." Usually, mediating in her home was rather peaceful. However, something was off. For whatever reason, Celestia couldn't focus by any means. Sure, her bruises had faded, but the sense of tranquility that she knew she could obtain was being blocked. Opening her eyes, she glanced around her home before standing up. Someone is channeling or using the energy stored here....the question is where, and why. Taking a look outside, she debated on whether she should search the camp or wait for Derrick to come back. She stepped back and started to draw a small glyph on her wrist that looked like a snowflower, one that was native to this area, and whispered Derricks name. Here's hoping he understands. The glyph glowed for a few seconds before disappearing and reappearing on his. Auransky
