Rowlin took another sip of his drink. It had slightly cooled down since the last time he took a drink, which left him with a relieving expression of knowing that he wouldn't burn his tongue again this time. "N-Now now, me being right?" He leaned forward at the thought, "I honestly can't be right since I have never been there before." He winked in a jokingly manor, then leaned back towards his set. "Yet it never does hurt to over think things. Excitement, and curiosity sometimes that alone is the energy we need to press on. Then we recharge find out and poof, it's there before you realize. D-Do also realize that while it is eager to get to tomorrow, you should be thinking about today. Everything you do today is a memory to will look back at tomorrow. So make the best use of it, and let that build up to the excitement of tomorrow."

Lucas nodded once, relieved that he wouldn't feel after effects like Elizabeth would. "That's gotta suck - the headaches and loss in hearing or vision. Well, I really hope that won't happen."
(Ew, short post.)

Three hours had gone by, and even though it was the afternoon, the after effects of yesterdays mission had left Aika not only exhausted but exposed. Her eyes hadn't changed back to their normal state. Every time she glanced at herself in the mirror she wanted to cry. Dark, crimson red eyes starred back at her, as if they were taunting her. It had been so long since she had seen herself in this state, and while before she had come to terms with it, the absence of feeding and using her powers led her to feel hopeless. 'Is this truly what I am? What I've become?' She thought to herself as she examined her hands, which still swarmed with layers of her power. A sigh escaped her lips as she glanced over to her bedroom. 'Maybe a shower will help calm my powers.' She nodded to herself as she quickly arranged a simple, yet chic outfit for the rest of the day and headed towards her bathroom.
For once, Dr. Mori's office wasn't filled with her medical or research team. It made sense that her research team wasn't present, but a majority of the VDA's nurses and doctors worked under Dr. Mori's supervision. Today it was just her in her office, reading over textbooks that she had gathered from one of the medical libraries. Calhoun had yet to pester her about any new missions, for once she was glad to be left alone in her study without the hustle and bustle of her teams.
Elizabeth nodded in agreement with him as she looked out towards the lake. "There's nothing wrong with preferring either scenario. Your sister may be more sociable, making visits during the daytime more enjoyable for her since she interact with those around her. However, visiting at night for you allows you to gather your thoughts since there are less people present."
"Don't you think it's better to find equilibrium though? A balance of sorts between considering your actions on both fronts perhaps? If all you do is think about 'the now', you'll never consider the consequences for your actions in the future or the benefits even. But if all you do is focus on tomorrow, you'll never enjoy the moments of today. Obviously there's no way to perfectly balance the two but if we try to, I think you'd have better outcomes overall." For someone so young, she sounded rather confident in herself. Maybe that explained why she was so friendly towards him and the few other people they had encountered so far.

Rowlin tilted his head to rest it along his hand on the table top. He considered this carefully, "Well technically yes, if we busy ourselves with simply one form, then we spend all that time focusing on that one thing only to realize that there is something else to follow." He had a ponder clearly stated in his expression, "Yet- what I'm trying to mostly refer too is the little enjoyable things in life. Those are the things that should be taken to the fullest. SO... you sign up for a class and you know its hard. You look at the outcome; if you pass you don't have to take it again, and it gets you one step ahead to tomorrow. Yet after passing, you can enjoy that brief moment of relaxation with the people you hold so close." He waved his free hand, "-However, should you choose to enjoy your time, not study, and not care you will fail that class. The outcome of not passing is regret, frustration and the fact that you will take it again."
He paused, "It might not make so much sense if we put it into context." He sighed at the thought, "It sounded very clear in my thoughts....but yea you do indeed have a valid point. We can enjoy the present, but also need to be aware of the future. All together as one form of unification."

(Thank you! ) "Actually she's more the kind that dislikes going outside altogether." Diarmaid shrugged and couldn't help but smile a little, reminded of the annoyed face Evangeline always makes when he brings this up. He adjusted his glasses slightly and leaned back, a little bit more relaxed than before. Maybe he shouldn't be feeling this way at all but the woman had been surprisingly easy to talk to, perhaps even more so than Diarmaid had expected. Was he wrong to suspect her? He shook his head slightly. Now isn't the time to doubt. Perhaps he should find out why she had only started to appear recently. "You must excuse my rudeness, but I have been a frequent visitor to this park yet I have only recently started noticing your visits." It was only after he said it that he realized it might have been too straightforward, but now that he had spoken it, he had no way of taking it back. Might as well finish it. "You must be a frequent visitor too? How come I haven't noticed you before?"Terrible. That was downright terrible.

(Phew I finally have one of them done XD please tell me if anything needs changing! I think I went a little overboard with this one Also I just remembered that I left the magic character's forum on my computer back in Canada D: I'll post him when I get back) Screen Name: SilverSleuth First Name, Middle name{If you want!}, Last name: Yan (彥) Z. Schrödinger Gender: female Age{15-45}: 20 Team: Phantom 1412 Field of Work: Secretary Description: Yan is a confident tall young female with a height of 5'7 (170cm). She has short-medium length black hair that reaches below her shoulders. She had her hair dyed- certain streaks of it being wine red, but this is only visible under light. Otherwise she just looks like she has plain black hair. She is always seen wearing a headband of some sorts in her hair. While the headband does vary sometimes depending on her mood, she prefers to wear a simple one that's turquoise in colour and has a ribbon tied to the left side, where her bangs are parted. She has a pair of wine red and navy headphones that she keeps hanging around her neck and also a pair of rimless glasses that she only uses for reading or when she's researching. Yan was never, or never will be, someone that follows much in fashion. She tends to go with what is comfortable rather than what is stylish, and sometimes even have trouble understanding female fashion as some of the clothes she just finds downright unreasonable and illogical. She prefers her simple attire of a deep maroon t-shirt (on top of which is a picture of Schrödinger's cat, surprise surprise) worn inside of a military green collared shirt. The collared shirt is actually bought from the male boutique but it wouldn't matter because Yan wears it like a jacket (always unbuttoned) and keeps the sleeves rolled up to above her elbow. The main reason she bought it was because she liked the two pockets on the shirt where she keeps some pens and utensils in (female dress-shirts sometimes don't have pockets and she hates that). Her outfit is complete with a medium length black skirt that reaches a little bit above her knee and she wears a pair of long black lace boots (no stockings). More often that not she is just seen in this sort of attire, only sometimes with slight variations in colour. Another set of colours she wears them in is an indigo green t-shirt with a black collared shirt jacket and the skirt changed to a dark shade of navy. She keeps a set of those collared shirts in her closet so she has a lot of colours to change into just in case. Otherwise, the one described above is her favourite. Personality: Simply put, Yan is a techno geek, gamer, and an antisocial genius (kind of) in computing, programming and hacking. However, a certain incident has caused her to dislike going outside, so she can be sort of a shut-in. She prefers not talking about the incident (and also because I still have to make it up XD). After joining VDA team Phantom 1412, she is slowly getting better at this and is going outside more with the help from a new friend- Finn. She is very confident in her abilities and can conduct research quite easily with just her laptop computer since she is skilled in that aspect. Unlike how she was before- shy and not social at all- she had become quite open (again with the he help from her friends in the team) kind, and talkative. She came to understand that people aren't so bad as she imagined them to be after all and now enjoys some time outside. However, after a while of being with a crowd or a lot of people she needs to wind down and stay inside for a day to "recharge". A classic introvert. Yan now makes friends easily, but she can appear intimidating to those that don't know her too much. She can be sometimes a little egoistic and over-confident of her abilities which can be a problem. To those that are nice to her, she is nice back, but if you are mean to her, let's just say she probably will ignore you in exchange. When she is not working, she likes gaming on her various gaming devices. There are also times when she would multitask- doing research and playing video games all at once (but she tries not to let other people notice). An idealist and an optimist, Yan now has her own set of morals and ideals that she follows. She enjoys the pace of her life, and would prefer for it to stay that way. Talents: Since Yan is a techno geek, research comes in easy for her. She is quick to find information on her targets and does things relatively quickly despite her tendency to be lazy and delay. She also enjoys reading books every now and then, but she dislikes non-fiction because she finds it pointless. Flaws/Disadvantages: Being a post-shut-in, Yan has little to no ability to defend herself in a combat. She is more suitable for background work and research due to her personality and talents, but if put on the field she would be in a lot of trouble. Her confidence sometimes is a good thing, but sometimes she can be over-confident which can also lead to problems: problems such as putting work off until the last minute. Yan can be also really stubborn idea-wise, and is not prone to accept new ideas that easily. She likes things the way they are, and therefore is not a discoverer that enjoys new ideas (unless she likes the idea of course). Yan tends to get into arguments with people whose ideal system doesn't matches hers, hence her limited amount of friends. Laziness can also add to her flaws as she just likes to wander around and do what she enjoys rather than what is required. That, however, doesn't mean she doesn't respect her work or the people around her. It just means she's lazy. When the deadline comes, she sometimes has to cram to get the work done on time. She still regards work as important, but I guess not as important as her life. In addition, she has a fear for magic-born because of the incident mentioned before. Being a believer of science, she does not understand the way magic works or how they happen because scientifically it's not explainable. That counts toward her weakness of being stubborn minded, as she does not know how to accept magic as an idea. Relationship Status: Single Other: Yan is a good friend of Evangeline and Diarmaid, but they have been out of contact for a while. Yan used to teach Evangeline about the things she could do for researching suspects. She is of mixed Chinese and German decent but with most of her childhood spent in Germany (so she speaks good German and may sometimes say a few German words). Once she took care of an injured magpie that just happened to appear at her doorsteps and the magpie now returns once in a while and brings her shiny things. (So I guess she has a pet magpie )

Dalton almost didn't go into work that day. But he managed to drag himself out of bed. After consulting his notes, he decided it was the meeting today he was forgetting about. He had a nagging feeling that that wasn't it, but it was the only explanation he could think of. He finally made it to the office, only to have nothing to do. Not even James was in. What a waste. He would have to bother him later at the meeting.
Quietly, James knocked on the door. "Excuse me, Dr. Mori?" He hoped he wasn't interrupting anything, though it looked like one of the rare times her office was almost empty. It was a little strange- normally there were nurses or agents or at least Natasha bouncing around in there. He winced, knowing that she didn't get moments to herself that often.

"Awful," grumbled Eveline and she tried to fight an oncoming headache that felt like it was going to pound right behind her eyes. "Like I've just been, well, poisoned. How long was I out?"
(Last RP post on old topic)
(Edited form for Tom that I don't know if you saw: Screen Name: mintedstar/fur
First Name, Last name: Thomas "Tom" Lawton
Gender: Male
Age: Looks 29
Field of Work: He sells used cars
Description: He has short blond hair that is usually messed up. He has a habit of running his hand through it when he's thinking about something important. He has pale skin with a few freckles around his nose.
He can blend in with humans rather well, he has to, otherwise the VDA may find out about him. He sells used cars and doesn't take the job very seriously. He likes to wear short sleeved shirts, usually with some type of logo on it, and blue jeans.
Personality: He's the type that takes jokes as much as he makes them. He can see the joke in almost every situation. But the on situation when he doesn't look on the bright side is when someone is hurt or in danger. Then he loses his sense of humor. When things get serious he is the one you should fall back on. He keeps a cool head when everyone else is panicking. He's also very good at cards, because he has mastered the ability of an expressionless face.
Talents: He can keep a cool head when in danger , plays a good game of cards and can even sell a car occasionally.
Generation: 2
Bloodline: Doesn't really have one. Flaws/Disadvantages: His sense of humor sometimes gets on peoples nerves and he doesn't get mad easily. Even though he can keep calm when in a dangerous situation he underestimates how bad a situation might be. He can, and probably will, jump in with a plan, but if that one fails he probably does not have a backup one.
Relationship Status: Single, but may have relationships in the future
Other: Tom lived as a witch of many years before he became one of the Betrayed. He has lived in Germany for many years before he returned to the town he was born in. He has managed to stay under the VDA's radar for all his time as a Betrayed. He was well known when he was a witch. He has no living family as far as he knows of, but he is (was) very close to Eveline.
He was a Battle Mage who had mastered the powers of Frost, Fire, Earth, Mind Reading, and Plasma.)

(Hmmm you could have her be in Phoenix's office if you'd like. I think both Lily and Nariko would be able wander around headquarters since they both have relatives there.)
"I guess it all depends on how you approach life really. My mom says that to me a lot. 'Always consider which option is best, and which outcome will better not only your future, but others around you.' She really likes to bring that up whenever I visit her at work. Sometimes I think she just says that to remind me not to get in trouble, but who knows." Her mom could be a bit mysterious at times. Whenever they had dinner she would bring up something and then go back to something else, as if she knew whatever topic she was going to bring up wasn't appropriate for her to hear.
Elizabeth lightly shrugged at his question. "People visit different parts of this park daily. There's no way you could possibly see very single person here within a visit. Some people prefer to stay over on the West side, while others only stay at one bench. The only way the person from the West side of the Garden to meet the person at the bench would be to walk towards it and get out of their comfort zone. If they never do that, they'll never meet that person." She glanced over towards him. "Does that make sense?"
"It's not that bad honestly. I just need to be prepared for it when it happens." Elizabeth said with a nod. "Is there anything else you'd like to discuss? I'd like to get started on the preparations as soon as possible."
"You were out for about three hours, given or take. And I discovered it wasn't poisoned, it was just filled with an agent that causes you to fall unconscious for an extended amount of time. It can, however, induced headaches or disruption in hearing. An interesting agent really." Selena said calmly as she closed the file of notes she had been working on.
Somehow, one way or another, the coldness of the shower calmed her nerves down. In turn, her powers seemed to shrink back and disappear. Once she had finished her shower, Aika changed into the outfit she had set out earlier--a long sleeved shirt in black with a pair of white denim pants and heeled, reddish brown boots. Now what to do with my hair.... A braid would probably nice, especially with the fact that it was still raining. She swept her hair to her right shoulder an began to braid it from the left side behind her ear and back towards her right shoulder. While doing so she checked the time. 2:45, that gives me enough time to finish getting ready before Dalton gets here.
Dr. Mori lifted her head as she heard her name being called out. "Oh James! What brings you here?" She asked as she set down the book she was reading, making sure to mark the page she was on.

"Your mother is just looking out for you." Rowlin encouraged at the thought. "That's what our parents do best, right? They know when it is the right time and when it isn't. For those words of wisdom, annoying today may help us progress tomorrow." He smiled lightly, "right?" He encouragingly tilted his head slightly. "We all receive and approach life's challenges differently,so every story's different. As long as we have courage we can overcome it all." "A-Anyways... that rain doesn't seem to want to clear up huh? Does it always rain out here?"

Dalton sighed, burying his face into his hands for a moment. This was getting him nowhere, and it was almost time to pick up Aika. Honestly, why do I even bother? he thought, not exactly sure where his bad mood came from, but following through with it all the same. With nothing else to do, he left the office and popped into his car, taking his time getting there, since it wasn't exactly three yet. And who knew? The quiet atmosphere might clear his head. That would be a refreshing change.
"Just wondering when you'd like me to give you that report on the mission yesterday. No rush or anything, whatever works for you." he added, smiling. They both knew Dr. Mori had much better things to do than listen to reports, but perhaps the samples he had collected for her would bump up the importance of it. It was too bad he had to settle for the icicles rather than the fountain itself, but after the crazy interruption, it just hadn't been possible.

Diarmaid nodded in response, not knowing how to put his thoughts into words. What he didn't tell Elizabeth was how he had this notebook where he wrote down everything he sees (mostly) and whatnot. But she definitely had a point. There was no way he could have seen everything. But why did he end up suspecting this woman anyways? She had this certain atmosphere around here, that told him she wasn't such an easy person to deal with, nor was she one that was easy to crack. Now, sitting next to her, Diarmaid had learned nothing of importance that he wanted to know, except that the woman does come here ever so often. The way she talked, the way she answered questions, they were all calm and secretive, letting away no leeway or clue whatsoever. In a way he was impressed, but that also worried him.

Not to mention she still had ten minutes to spare. Maybe she could prep some tea in the meantime to take with her. "Go right ahead, I'm actually quite eager to hear what happened. The drive to Aika's house was a lot shorter than he remembered. Or maybe time was just flying by. He really wished he had brought a bottle of water, he was feeling dizzy again. Just don't think about it Black. Soon you'll have the real Aika in front of you, that'll give you something to focus on. he thought to himself. Once outside her house, he parked the car, knowing if he circled the block it would only freak her out. Knowing he looked like a mess, he ran a hand through his hair for a minute, trying to collect himself before he had to go get her.
James started by pulled out the samples of the ice he had been storing in a cooler since the mission. He thought it would be best for her to observe them while he gave her the play by play. He tried not to get too specific- even if he did trust Dr. Mori, Calhoun would no doubt be interested in the mission and would be going through the file, personally he was sure. "Sad to say we couldn't find anything, but at least we didn't come away empty handed," he finished, gesturing to the icicles in the flasks he had taken.
