Cool. My friend found the Instagram of one of these girls at camp that's like the top group and everyone loves them and I wanna see her account but my friend said not to follow her right away so I just wanted to make sure I could look her up first

tbh i don't even question it if people i've barely heard of follow me if they wanna sporadically see pics of my dog and bad selfies then that's their business lmao

Honestly though they're all super cool and we wanna be friends with them and make our way into their group. I gave them all a good burger to share today so I think that scored me some bonus points. After eating Camp food all week they were so pumped when I gave it to them. Well actually be sharing a room next year. All the 'adults' sleep together cause adults aren't allowed to sleep in cabins near teenage girls

@ blue that's the main reason I'd go to scotland, tbh. I love history and would probably totally geek out at some of the castles. would love to see the rest of the uk, too. so, this is kind of a weird question, but when people talk about going to visit the us, what cities do they always want to go to? for instance, most americans if they went to, say, england or france, they'd probably only go to london or paris. I'm assuming for the us it would new york or la?
@ ari woo, you survived! c': I swear I'll get some starters up soon, I've just been... sooo lazy. but my enthusiasm for this roleplay hasn't gone anywhere.
@ ruby & whisp hello hello :^)

And now I'm just pumped for camp next year too

Honestly I'm so pumped for next year
Camp was cut short so we could do flag before it rained and we had just finished flag when it started. I spent an hour leading songs in the building with a couple other counselors so the girls wouldn't freak out

these starters are horrendous and slightly rushed and a little on the short side for me, I'm sorryyy ]
Amelia Ross.
Contrary to the morning habits of most people, Amelia started her day with a thud. She awoke lying on her back on the floor, tangled in bed sheets and staring at the ceiling of her shared apartment. Evidently, while thrashing around in her sleep, she’d managed to roll right off the bed. It was a wonder she hadn’t woken her bedmate. She’d always been a restless sleeper; hopefully she hadn’t kicked them while flipping from one side to the other. It would be kind of embarrassing if the other girl woke up with inexplicable bruises on her leg.
Amelia shrugged the sheets off her shoulders and stood, wobbling slightly. She leaned back against the edge of the bed, glancing at the bedside alarm clock as she yawned and stretched. It red five thirty am in glaring red font. “Hmph.” Her roommates would probably be asleep for another two hours at least, if she hadn’t already woken them. She privately hoped she had. These silent early mornings were torture for the early riser. At least she got first shower.
Rubbing the sleep from her bleary green eyes, Amelia stumbled over to the bathroom, tripping over somebody’s shoe that had been left out (probably hers) and nearly running into the wall. She yawned again, catching a passing glimpse of her rumpled pajamas and wild blonde hair in the bathroom mirror as she began to strip off her clothes. She turned the faucet on and let it run into the tub for a few minutes as the water heated up. A sly smile stealing across her face, she decided to “accidentally” use up all the hot water. Maybe that’d get her roommates to wake up earlier. The earlier they woke up, the sooner they could start their day and go out and see what the world had to offer (and the sooner they got to eat breakfast!).
When Amelia stepped out of the shower, toweled off and got dressed, she emerged from the bathroom in a cloud of steam to find that she’d only wasted about an hour. It was six twenty-five now. Sighing dramatically, she sank into the closest armchair, letting her arms drape lazily over the sides. Now for the waiting game.
. . . . . .
Caspian Fox.
Caspian was still snoring away by the time six thirty rolled around. He turned over in his sleep, starting to become uncomfortably warm. After tossing and turning a few more times, he gave up with a heavy sigh. Slowly, the young Englishman sat up, running his fingers through his sleep-tousled black hair and down the back of his neck, rubbing his palm across the stiff muscles.
It was still dark in the room. He couldn’t tell if the guy he shared his bed with was still wrapped up in the covers beside him. Those heavy linen curtains certainly did the trick; as far as he could tell, it was still night outside. Carefully, quietly, he pulled the covers aside and swung his legs over the edge of the bed. The air around his feet was cold after the warmth of his bed, and he shivered, arching his back slightly in a stretch that made his spine crackle.
Cas got out of bed with some reluctance to use the bathroom, then wandered over to the window and peeked through the curtain. He was met with nearly blinding sunlight. He muttered a curse under his breath, grimacing, and pushed the window open just a crack to let in the fresh morning air. He breathed in deeply, peering over the sill at the busy street below. There was a surprising amount of people out on the sidewalks at this hour. What time was it now?
He shot a look over his shoulder at the alarm clock. Six forty. Caspian groaned inwardly. He was a night owl and a late sleeper. He’d stayed up til almost one in the morning the previous night reading his book. He must still be adjusting to the time change in the United States; his internal body clock had been all out of whack since landing here and his sleeping schedule had been even more off than usual the past few days. Maybe he could steal another half hour of sleep before his roommates woke up… if he was lucky. Which he probably wouldn't be. He was rarely lucky. He groaned again, bringing a hand to his mouth to cover the yawn that followed as he shuffled back to bed, still half-asleep.

Yay! Now we just need everyone else.
How long do I give people before opening up their apots? I'd say at least a week right? I liked everyone's posts a couple ones though and they haven't come

I'd give it a few more days, maybe. It's summer and the forums have been slow lately, so you could probably be a little more lenient? I have to leave soon to run a couple errands, but I'll stick around. I hate seeing roleplays with work and time invested in them go to waste.

I'm totally trying not to be strict. That's why I asked you. I mean last week I could barely get on so I feel like sometimes I give people too long. Do you think it'd be better to PM them or like their replies again?
|
|
|
Post by indecisive on Jul 24, 2017 14:32:26 GMT -5
Maybe like their replies again. PM seems a little too direct atm. I mean, blue was on just yesterday. most of my roleplays haven't even made it to 3 pages in the past so I'm really not the one to ask for advice eheh

It's no problem. I've been busy too. I just wanted to make sure people are still interested.
And that was geared more towards people who haven't been on in a while. I thought you were here pretty recently
I hope I don't seem pushy/rude/strict to you gusy
