I just can't wait to go home to my bed and my dogs and my shower and my home cooked food
I'm also pumped to get this started. I think my starters are on page 1 or 2 if anyone needs to see them

I live in the Pacific Northwest on the coast, so I'm used to very mild weather. 50-60f [10-18c] is my comfort range for temperature. I start getting warm in the 70s. Coming home after camp or a trip is the best feeling, Ari! c: I'm pumped to get started too, I just have no muse atm D:

I live in the upper Midwest and we got cold winters and our summers are a bit warm but rarely reach 95-100 Our winters are cold though and we never get snow days. The last time we had one was cause it was so bitterly cold that buses wouldn't start and standing outside for only a few minutes could result in severe frostbite. The governor called a statewide shutdown of all schoolsa

wow :o the coldest it gets here is the 40s and sometimes upper 30s I've never seen snow, aside from the dusting we get on the hills sometimes. like if there's even a little ice on the roads? no school. too "dangerous for buses." but we can drive in pouring rain no problem, of course. cx

Winter here is always in the negatives. Um we learn to drive in snow and ice as soon as we're 16 cause it's unavoidable. Lemme just say the antilock brakes have saved me multiple times cause when you hit a patch of ice there's like nothing you can do. It's pretty scary. Four wheel drive is a life saver too. I actually learned to drive in snow before summer.

Yikes. The college I'm planning to go to is in a pretty snowy area during the winter, so I'll have to learn to drive in snow at some point probably Not sure where there is to do that around where I live, tho.

You just kinda get it after a bit. It's common sense. Go slow. Watch the road. Um avoid ice if possible. Black ice is dangerous though

that sounds crazy ari :0 i live by the sea so we don't really get snow either :c i've lived here all my life and it's snowed like two or three winters?? you don't have to go that far inland to see it though if there's any it snows a bit more up at my university but that's still by the sea and only a bit further north so there's still not really any

@ ari ; that sounds slightly terrifying. what's black ice? @ blue ; yep, same. If I go about an hour or two inland we sometimes see a little snow but it's still not much, really

Honestly I love winter though even if it's dangerous
Black ice is basically clear ice. You can't see it but to deadly slippery. Like it's one of the biggest warnings we get as young drivers cause once you hit a patch that's it. You're not stopping. Hopefully you'll just go off the road and stop in a snow bank. Scary stuff

ahh yeah i guess if it was cold enough i could probably find a fair amount in like under an hour i think if i drove inland in either possible direction for two hours i'd either be in the sea on the other side or at the border haha it's a small country :')

K it's been chaotic around here. I just got outta first aid and now I'm panicking. We're the only ones left in cabins and we got a walkie talkie so they'll let us know if we need to run. Like Idk if I'll get back on - not sure where the nights going. Wish me luck

@ ari ; oh, yikes. that is pretty scary ;-; @ blue ; small country, but you live on the coast? do you mind me asking where you live? @ ruby ; I'd be a puddle in that kind of heat. I'm v heat-sensitive so I'd probably just melt into the pavement, rip. I can't really function in 85+ degrees.

I couldn't do that. I mean yesterday was like 85 and I was sent to first aid cause of dehydration. And I had drank 4 or 5 bottles of water so I thought I was fine
Turns out their was no tornado yesterday, just high winds and rain

ssaamee i would actually just melt immediately i went to turkey in high summer a few years ago and couldn't exist outside for more than 2 minutes before I was human shaped pile of sweat

Morning update: still dehydrated. It's worse now cause I haven't drank anything yet today and I had to deal with breakfast prep in a cluttered busy kitchen with adults throwing me one job after another
Now I got an hour till opening flag and I'm just trying not to die. Plus I've got 3rd-4th graders all day so that'll be fun *not*

I'm trying but it's a struggle to physically drink. I've had so much warm plain water lately that it makes me wanna puke.
Thanks I need it

aw. hang in there, Ari. warm plain water is awful, but at least it's something to wet your throat with. you're nearly done! <3 @ blue ; ooo, scotland! that's one of my bucket list places to visit. not sure why though, considering it's very similar to where I already live.

How is everyone?

@ ind ah yeah i know what you mean haha. like there's places in the us i think i'd like to go to but then it's ages away + expensive to get to + a relatively very similar culture? hopefully one day though c: but i guess for people interested in history and stuff scotland's a cool place to see? like there's a heck ton of castles literally everywhere + obviously some damn good lookin scenery, especially in the highlands ~
@ ari aw that's good! hope the kids are behaving haha i'm goood gonna get on with starters before i get sleepy again bc it's nearly ten already :0
