🌳OakClan - The Resilient and Brave (ACTIVE members needed!)

"There was an accident... in the tunnels... Bramblepaw-" Quietwillow began, only to be cut off by Whiteraven. "That stupid kit probably did this! Him and Boldpaw got caught under some rocks. They'd be dead if Palepaw hadn't trailed them... What were they thinking?!"

Lionpaw lay was his head on his paws, the large apprentice casting Cricketpaw a surprisingly cold glance. He didn't feel like talking so he made no comment, instead he just sighed and looked to the medicine den, too. Crowwhisper had just gone in with a hare. He hoped the two injured cats were truly well enough to eat.

"... Boldpaw looked pretty bad, and I think Bramblepaw's legs are all broken." Icepaw said stiffly. He seemed to be in shock, and his fur bushed out slightly as he cast a glance at the medicine den.

Palepaw had moved closer to Bramblepaw, her eyes stinging as she curled up a few inches apart from her brother.

"It's not your fault. The tunnels haven't collapsed like this before that I know of." Foxtail said quickly, although he looked uneasy. "All... all that matters is that your alive. You'll get better."

Crowwhisper cast a glance at Foxtail, his eyes betraying a rather hard, searching look. The two made eye contact for a moment, and Foxtails' tail began to fluff out slightly as he noticed in Crowwhisper's eyes what he was thinking. It was very likely Boldpaw wouldn't walk again.

Foxtail nearly hissed and refocused his thoughts on the hare, as Crowwhisper nudged it towards them. "You should try... try and eat, if you can. Get some rest if not. The more rest you get the more you'll recover... it'll... it'll be fine."

Whiteraven at down and fumed without replying.

Quietwillow sighed and shook her head sadly. "We're not sure how bad it is yet.... but both won't be walking for sometime. The tunnels collapsed on them, and yes... it's possible they wouldn't be alive in Palepaw hadn't been there... still... they're alive."

"And what if they don't walk again?" Whiteraven snapped.

Quietwillow shot him a look. It had been on her mind too, but it finally being said out loud sent a shock down her.

"Mooneyes hasn't dealt with this stuff alone before, and while Pinepaw's good, he hasn't either..." Lionpaw finally said worriedly, staring at the medicine den still. "What if they can't help them?"

Icepaw shook his head quickly, seeming to snap out of his stunned state. "No! They have to know what they're doing!" He began first, sitting up. He cast Lemonpaw and glance and thought for a moment, before adding. "I... I think maybe we should... hunt. I guess. I don't feel like being here anymore."

( Hi Koi. c: As a quick update, Mooneyes is supposed to be caring for Bramblepaw and Boldpaw who got injured in a tunnel collapse earlier that morning. Bramblepaw's legs are broken and Boldpaw's back is broken, and Palepaw's also there as she's the one who foudn them and has a slight cough from inhaling dust and just feels shaken. )

Whiteraven glared, his tail till twitching as he tried to calm down.

Quietwillow sat up and moved closer to her older son, giving him a fond lick over his ears and letting her tail touch his side. "Haynose is right... we... we can only wait and hope. Oh, I haven't seen Emberspark yet... she and her mate will be devastated. I hope they'll be alright."

"Crabs." Lionpaw said with a frown.

"Sounds good. Anything but being here." Icepaw said quickly, already up and heading for camp entrance, ears slightly down and tail dragging. If one didn't know better they'd say he was sick!

Next Morning

Harestar called a meeting. He announced to the whole clan the accident, and to tell all cats not to go into the tunnels. Cats were told to me cautious around them at the very least, and that both apprentices were living, but badly injured.

Mooneyes and Pinepaw have not yet officially given any verdict on if they'll recover fully. For now the clan waits. Meanwhile, the cats that left to find PineClan are still missing, and the clan still worries they won't return.

Emberspark was looking for Timberstone. She had just woken up- not that she's really been sleeping, it had been a restless night of worrying for her kit- but she had decided to get up and start the day regardless of sleep.

Foxtail hadn't slept well either and had taken guard duty just outside camp to think. He now was heading back in to try and attempt a nap- it was allowed, after all, he'd been up most of the night.

Emberspark spotted her mate and hurried over. She first, however, smoothed down her ruffled fur, and then kept walking. She didn't want him to worry more than he needed to, so she tried to look at least somewhat rested. Casting a glance at the medicine den she was relieved to see Palepaw was up, having had slept there overnight. The little apprentice looked alright enough. She sighed and looked to Timberstone as she reached him. "Morning." She said quickly.
