Haynose smiled at Shadowfeather, glad she liked his idea. He turned his head back around and began to climb up the rocky terrain rather expertly. He had visited it often so he was rather familiar with the mountainside. (I believe this was where we left off??) --- Cloudbounce flicked his tail to show that he had heard her, turning and stepping carefully away to not make any sound. He moved away from Ferndapple and her kill, smelling a squirrel upwind. His pawsteps were gentle, and he placed one down carefully after the other to make sure he didn't trip or make any noise. Once he got close enough he crouched, his tail flicking and a small chitter escaping his mouth. His ears rotating, he could tell he was close by how strong the scent was. With another chitter, he pounced on the squirrel, digging into it with claws before finding the neck and delivering a swift blow. Ferndapple quietly buried her mouse. She felt a small sting of pride in herself for making a rather clean kill, which usually wasn’t the case. She smiled faintly and then turned to catch back up with Cloudbounce. By the time she reached him, the other warrior had already made his move to catch the squirrel. She stood back, waiting for him to finish. --- Flurrypaw nodded to her mentor, trying desperately to keep all of those things in mind. She gingerly lifted her paw and stared down at the water. A fish slowly swam past but Flurrypaw hesitated. It looks too big, can I really catch it? What if I try and catch it but end up just disturbing the water? Wait it’s getting away!. Flurrypaw panicked and flung both her paws out in a last ditch effort to grab the fish, as a result she fell head first into the water. Hailheart’s eyes widened as Flurrypaw suddenly fell into the water. Luckily it was just a deep tide pool rather than an actual river of ocean but the warrior still looked a bit concerned. “Are you alright?” She asked leaning over to see if her apprentice needed help getting back onto land. |

“I’m fine” Flurrypaw slowly pulled herself out of the tidepool, her body was low against the ground. She wasn’t hurt in any way, just embarrassed and as a result couldn’t even look up at her mentor. “I’m sorry, I didn’t do what you told me to do” she murmured, looking a lot smaller than usual. “I’ll try and do better”.
