Flamepaw had to run to catch up with his mentor, but he did so beamingly. He wouldn't say it out loud, but he was pretty sure that was the very first time he'd caught more than one thing during a hunt. A sense of pride swelled in his chest, but it faded when he remembered how far he still had to go. When they finally made it back to camp and he no longer had prey filling his jaws, Flamepaw smiled at his mentor. "Thanks Hollystone."

Crouching down as she sees the mouse scuttling among the grass a few fox lengths ahead of her. trying to keep her tail as still as possible while focusing on not steping on anything that would make a noise to scare the mouse was really hard. Creeping about a fox length more she stops as the mouse looks up, making her crouch closer to the ground hoping to blend in better. The mouse goes back to looking for food among the floor, Pouncing she lands just a little short startling the mouse making it take off with her following it and she catches it right before it goes back into its burrow. Picking it up she heads back to where Riverleaf is not noticing that the ground dipped alittle making her stumble and twist her paw. Wincing she makes her way back to the older cat and digs up her vole. "We can go back now if you want?" she says setting the mouse down next to the vole and bringing her front right paw up giving it a lick hoping to ease the pain alittle.

"Well I'm certain you'll be a wonderful mother," Nightflower purred kindly. After having practically raised her younger brother, she had no interest in kits of her own, but could always tell whether or not another cat was capable of being a good parent.
