Honeyheart chuckles at the apprentices vivid enthusiasm. "Sounds good to me," she says to Screechfang. "And maybe I will!" she adds with a grin. "Where are we headed?"

GingerPaw looked at HoneyHeart with sparkling eyes before bounding ahead of HoneyHeart and ScreechFang towards the training hollow with what seemed like endless energy

Honeyheart flicks her tail in amusement. "Your apprentice is so lively. Her energy will do her well in battle." With a purr, she trots after Gingerpaw, stopping at the hollow and waiting for Screechfangs directions.

Flamepaw glanced up at his mentor in surprise. He'd been so focused on the squirrel, he didn't notice her watching. "Oh, uh, thanks Hollystone," he mewed sheepishly. "Hunting is definitely not my strong suit."

With a solemn flick of her tail, Honeyheart pads over to the small 'paw. "Now. What battle moves have you learned so far?" she asks, flicking her ear to tell Screechfang to come over.

"uhhhh i don't know the name of it but i know how to do it" she darted out putting one paw in-between ScreechFang's back legs and front legs and swiping them so she attempted to trip him but failed miserably.

Nightflower sat near the back of camp, nibbling absent-mindedly at a small vole. She was lost in thought of the unusual lack of fighting recently. Strangely, the peace made her uneasy. When she finished the vole, she licked her lips and looked around, hoping for something to distract her from her troubled thoughts. Her gaze landed on Willowcreek walking out of camp. Curious, Nightflower followed the queen and found her sitting just outside. "Hello Willowcreek," she mewed warmly, hoping not to startle her. "Sure is a nice day, isn't it?" Willowcreek turn around quickly but soon relaxed as she saw the approching deputy. She nodded her head slightly in greeting, "It's lovely," she purred contently, "our camp definatly gives us the best views." |

Screechfang growled in annoyance and kicked her away. "Save the battle moves until we reach the training area"! He gives Gingerpaw a hard stare hoping she would get the hint.

Honeyheart flicks her ears with a curious frown. I know he's not supposed to be all sweet nice-cat with her. Shrugging, she dismisses promptly as none of her business. "We're here, now! Sorry for asking early. Now's the time to show me what you've got, you two!" She flicks her tail with a calm grin.

"okay.. I'm sorry" GingerPaw could feel her ears getting hot with embarrassment and she walked the rest of the way to the training hollow silently not really saying anything. but by the time they got there she was feeling better she turned to HoneyHart and said "Ready to spar?" with that endless energy re kindled.

"That's great. Just make sure to keep your tail close by your leg so the enemy can't snag it." Honeyheart steps towards the small paw. "Now show me how you'd attack. I'm much bigger then you, so make sure to use your small size to an advantage."

GingerPaw adjusted her tail thought for a moment then leaped next to HoneyHeart darted under her and to the other side and pushed her over leaping on top of her as she did this "Did i hurt you that thump when i pushed you sounded hard" she said getting off of HoneyHart.

"Very good! And no." She stands up, shaking her fur off. "That was a good first move. Make sure the opponent doesn't claw you while you're under them, though. They could kick you," she meows, making a kicking motion with her hind leg.

Flamepaw hesitated a moment but did as his mentor requested. He dropped into his less-than-ideal hunting crouch. he wasn't quite low enough, nor still enough. To make matters worse, his tail was lashing again thanks to his nerves. He didn't mean to be twitchy, he just couldn't help it.
Nightflower purred in agreement. "We are quite lucky, aren't we?" After a slight pause, she added, "Speaking of luck, has Snowberry told you when your kits should be due? It'll sure be nice to hear the scuffles of little paws around camp again."

Hollystone used her paw to push him down and steps down on his tail. "You have to keep your tail still." She mewed slowly pulling away. "Now stalk forward until I say stop."
