Ah, I adore what you've done so far, Shadow! Your world building never fails to amaze me, and your characters are all so dynamic. I love Ceto, and predict a beautiful friendship with Wylie in her future.
'No legs' has been my favourite so far. Ceto strikes me as being so loving, so protective, and always ready to stand up for what's right - though I suppose those are the very qualities that a future Tidecaller would be chosen for. Her mother seems just gorgeous, too. I love the way they interacted with each other <3
Can't wait for the next one!

ᴛᴜᴇsᴅᴀʏ - I got #3 done. (': Dingoleap - Thank you, Dingo. (': Ceto has been a happy challenge to write. She's got a much more pure and positive outlook than I'm used to. Though that will change and mold her into something stronger once she is taken away from that happy atmosphere. I explore that descent in the #3 prompt.

I love the entire aspect of the Tribe. To me, they almost sound like the islanders of Polynesia or Hawaii. And the ocean god sounds so cool; it's a force-of-nature diety with flaws, and I can't wait to read about it.

Ibai - means "water" in basque. Male.
Naia - means "wave, sea foam" in basque. Female.
Kaito - means "sea, ocean" in Japanese. Male.

She is such a lighthearted character, and I'm glad she challenges you! I have the same problem sometimes - all my characters are dark and moody, to the point where it becomes difficult at times to write happy scenes. |

I don't know why!! I mean, maybe it's just how I am by nature? I am a more realistic thinker than I used to be. I'm not the most optimistic person and I think of good and bad outcomes all the time. I can't find in myself to make all my stories so unrealistically happy even if it can be a more satisfying read. And then there is depression, but I'd like to think my writing isn't effected by it. I draw experience and ideas and metaphors from it, but I don;t let it dictate the moods you know?
Are you that way? More realistic than optimistic/fantasy thinker?

ᴛᴜᴇsᴅᴀʏ - I GOT SHARKS DONE YO ( #9 ) I took this both 'literally' and metaphorically. The council chamber was described specifically for a reason. A rounded bubble with blue glow worms to make it feel like your under water, and then the council members on raised pillars around her. It was supposed to be like her walking into a shark tank or a cage, except she could also be the shark, while the council members were all minnows. It can be taken a few ways, so it's open to interpretation. ^^'

Well, that makes sense then! I prefer the gritty stuff myself too. And, as much as I like to think I base my characters off of people in my life, I've noticed I put something of myself in them too.
