They are essentially CrystalClan's version of StarClan. These are the spirits of their dead clanmates, they give the cats prophecies, omens, and sometimes guidance, the cats depend heavily on this information.

The spirits are important to the clan because they can offer guidance and wisdom when the clan needs it most. They are important to the rogues for much of the same reason but also give the rogues an idea of where they come from and a step forward into finding where they belong.
They give insight to the future and send warnings through signs, omens, and prophecies (largely to those with physic abilities) and can steer the clan onto the best path.

The spirits are an essential part of Crystalclan as they are our ancestors. They are the spiritual guides for everyone and the keys to our future. They give leaders their nine lives and may also give prophecies and visions to psychic cats. They are the afterlife for many of the cats who believe as those who believe in the spriits and are good will join the spirit realm once they die. If the cats learn from their ancestors, they may also bring forth a brighter future for not just themselves, but the entire clan.

The spirits are important because they guide the clancats through dreams and signs. At least, the "good" spirits do that. The spirits often have at least some influence on the clancats and the "evil" cats take it to an extreme. They use all of their powers to take over he living world, for example, cats who were resurrected. They take over their souls and control them. They seem to be planning some sort of revolt and are suppressing the traditionally "good" spirit cats of the past. The spirits know all about the history of the clan and about powers and such that living cats know little about. They are important due to their knowledge, as well.
The rogues are important as well, but for different reasons. It seems they have very powerful cats, such as Apple and Bumble, who has two powers. They could have an influence on the war between the split halves of the clan. They also seem to have a closer connection to the spirits that could proved signifihant as the mysterious "Crystal" cat is sought after to help banish the evil spirits and cats.

Seriously, everyones was really good. I did this because it makes you question why are they important? But most importantly for this question, it is why the are important to the cats, so this poetic answer wins!

At The Peak hawks and eagles, buzzards, and condors, artic hares, and mice can be hunted. Cats often hide in the bushes and use their tails to lure the birds down as they hunt for small creatures.

As it as the very top of the mountain, it is a great spot to hunt eagles and hawks when they try to hunt other prey. They often hide out in bushes there and use their tails to tempt the birds, hoping that their tails will look like small game, such as the hares and mice that birds tend to gravitate towards. However, it goes without saying that since the larger birds of prey are coming to hunt there that the smaller prey (mountain goats, arctic hares, mice, etc) are also there to hunt as well.

The peak, which is in the upper camp territory is usually used to hunt for hawks and eagles. These bird predators may swoop down and the cats easily without them noticing so it is important for the cats to not let themselves be seen first. This is why they usually hide in rough bushes, the birds will usually swoop down to catch smaller prey. The cats use their tails as bait, a hawks eye is super sensitive and will easily notice the cats tail. Therefore will swoop down and try to catch the tail, and that is when the cats attack to hunt the bird.

Best answer. Mainly small hawks and small eagles are hunted here. Mice and arctic hares also exist, and mountain goat kits are chased here when hunted.
Condors are too dangerous and deadly to actually hunt, insead they do the hunting of the cats when they are here! Evil birds, hehe!

As kits, they can talk to bugs, yet as time goes on, the cats can talk to bigger and bigger animals. However, only those with power mastery can talk to animals never encountered.

The animal whispering power is a cat who has the able to understand languages of different creatures other than themselves. When they are kits, they may be able to understand what a small creature such as a bug or a mouse is saying. As they begin to get used to their powers,they may be able to understand and talk back to other animals which may be bigger than the,selves which they have seen before. Cats with the master animal whispering ability can talk to and understand animals that they have never met before. Cats with these abilities usually struggle hunting them as they can hear the prey and feel sympathy for them.

Animal whispering is a power that allows cats to literally talk to animals, at least when they get to a higher level. it all comes down to the communication with another animal type/species. At first they can only understand whatever message the animals are speaking, but as they get older they begin to speak to animals. Usually cats with this power progress from small animals (mice, rabbits, bugs) t larger animals until at last they reach the point where they can talk freely to an exotic animal like a big cat or peacock they have never met before. Often times these cats from connections with the animals and hunting can be very tough emotionally for them. it feels terrible, and for some hunting is impossible.
