Darkstar sat on the Center Rock, tail wrapped rather neatly around his paws. He looked out over the Upper Camp, eyes narrowed as he swept his icy gaze over the cats he led. Recently he had been feeling unrest stirring in his camp; whispers of vague rumors had reached his ears about escape and treason, but not enough to condemn any one cat for good. However, he had suspicions, and that was good enough for him. He'd just weed out the weak and the disloyal one by one as he sorted through his clan.

The tabby tom leapt down from his perch, her muscles flexing athletically underneath his sleek tabby pelt as he did so. He prowled over to the nursery, having spotted his illegitimate mate. "Hello, Dartsplash," he called, striding over to her. She was becoming to show that she was with his kits, though Galegust had no idea. He smirked a little as he thought of this. Poor Galegust, always weak and one step behind. Dartsplash on the other paw, was strong, not to mention rather beautiful. Those were the reasons he had chosen her, no other. He was using her, after all.

He nodded curtly at Galegust. "Galegust," he said simply before turning away. She had failed rather spectacularly with their first litter and so he had decided to take no second chances with her. After seeing how ruthless and strong Dartsplash's litter had turned out, he was sure she would be the perfect mother to his kits. He turned to engage Dartsplash in small talk, just enough so to keep her satisfied that he loved her. She was one of the more ruthless cats he had met, and he appreciated that immensely, though he was fairly certain that none of this was fooling her. After all, the only reason they had come together was to get something from the other.

"So how are you feeling?" he asked her with a smile, fixing his blue eyes on her and drawing closer to her with a tilt of his head. He still hadn't quite sorted out what he felt for her. It wasn't exactly love; you didn't usually use someone you loved. But she was whip-smart and understood him better than Galegust could ever imagine in her wildest dreams. Was it affection, maybe? Yes, I suppose that could be it,he thought to himself.

"I'm sure our kits will be great," he whispered, casting a look at Galegust to make sure she couldn't hear their conversation. "You will make a wonderful mother."

When she laughed and assured him with a coy look that she knew she would, he couldn't help but chuckle along. Something about her intrigued him, that was for sure. He met her fiery yellow gaze with his indigo blue one once more and held it for a moment. He was the one to drop his eyes first, unsure exactly what that had been about. She's just a tool in your quest,he reminded himself. You don't need any type of attachment here. And with that simple reminder he was back to his old, cold-blooded self. That self, he realized, was on a mission, and he had just wasted longer than he should have chatting when he could have been squashing rebellion.

"I have to go. I need to deal with some pressing matters. Stay, rest a while. I need you strong and healthy." He left with these simple words and didn't even glance over his shoulder as he padded away briskly. He could almost feel her intense stare boring into his back as he went, and for some reason it made him slightly uncomfortable. He shook his head, trying to clear these ridiculous thoughts, and went to talk to Lionstep about a new mission he had for him.

Ahh I'm still judging I've got two haven't decided exactly what I'm doing yet hehe

i almost posted elasticity. And magnetism. But decided on xray. I don't know though.. now that I think about it, xray is kind of stupid)
