Two of the people I work with have fancy rats, and they bring em in sometimes. They just hang out. xD
Were they a tamed specie, or just pure wild?

And they were completely wild. My mom's friend's parents were at their part time house, using Have a Heart traps, and releasing the mice farther away, and after a few days, a trio wandered out starving because their mom didn't come back to nurse them. They put them in a small trap together, and my mom's friend fed them human milk and avocado. We got them when they were about 10 days old. Asterin, the most angry of the three, and the smallest, died because she wasn't growing enough. Ze'ev followed about 5 days later because he was just too small and kind of sick. Danger is the only survivor, he's about 3-4 weeks old now, completely weaned. Only thing is that he's very shy about people, we're just so much bigger. He hides in his little tampon box (the smallest box we had), inside of his terrarium, and comes out at night. I try to socialize him bit by bit, daily. He's getting better. I hope that he'll eventually become a friendly, social mouse, but IDK.

Wow, that's an awesome story. I had a gal at the animal shelter that tried to raise mice, so I know how hard it can be. I think only one of hers survived too. Hopefully you can get him more social around people, you have a task on your hands though.

Yeah, it's gonna be a challenge. Because I raise chickens too, I'm dealing with a young Polish Cockerel who has the Range Paralysis strain of Marek's Disease, and can't really walk. So socializing a mouse, and doing strengthening exercises with a baby roo is my day, lol. Thank god that Clarus is starting to get stronger, he can walk on surfaces with grip, so carpet and grass, but not hardwood floors or even plastic of any sort. *sigh*.
Lol, and then you've got me sitting here and plotting out the next few chapters of this. XD
