"Heya Sammy." said Dean, wincing and getting to his feet in an attempt to mask the embarrassing fact that he'd just lost a fight quicker than he ever had before. "Just making sure our new friend here's combat-ready."

"What?" Sam stared at him, confused, then glanced up at James who simply shrugged. "The younger brother shook his head in exasperation and stepped forward, offering a hand to help Dean up. "Dude, really?"
Tara wandered over, stopping by Charlie and looking at the post-fight. "Woah, what happened?"

"No no no no, I've got this." said Dean, winking exuberantly and inadvertently revealing the fact that he was a bit tipsy, probably only detectable to someone who knew him well. Something was bothering him. He turned back to James. "Alright." He handed over a gun. "Good job."
Charlie shrugged. "Dean decided to solve a question he had the gorilla way."

Sam gave him a quick, sharp searching look but didn't say anything. Instead he glanced at the growing crowd, which he hoped didn't all expect to come. That would get complicated.
James accepted the gun, tucking it away. "Thanks. So who's coming?"
Tara raised her eyebrows. "You know him?" She asked curiously.

"Me, Sam, Cas and you. Maybe 50 Shades of CIA over there." He gestured to Reese.
"Yeah - Sam and Dean. Sam's the tall one." said Charlie. "They're like my brothers."

"Cool." Tara glanced at the two brothers, then Charlie. "So how did you end up on that boat?"
James nodded, satisfied. "Then let's go."
Sam gave Reese a glance. "Hey, are you coming?"

"Oh, I wasn't on the boat." said Charlie. "I was trying to get my pilot license, and I crashed here." She shifted uncomfortably. "Probably won't get it now." she added as an afterthought.
Reese nodded and stepped up to the group, making sure his gun was loaded. "I'm in. What's our plan?"
"We should leave tomorrow." said Cas, turning to James. "I know you want to rescue your brother as soon as possible, but it's getting dark, and our chances of successfully performing any sort of rescue are much improved during daylight."

"But they could be hurting him now." James protested, immediately discarding the idea. "They don't know how much he knows, and they won't waste any time finding out."
"Yeah, probably not." Tara agreed, making a sympathetic face. "But at least you crashed on an island, right?"

"As opposed to the ocean? Yeah, you could say that." said Charlie. "What about you? Why were you on the ferry?"
"We both have people we care about in their hands." said Cas, an edge to his tone that was more ominous than it should have been. "I don't intend to destroy my chance to rescue them because of your impatience." He was staring James straight in the face, though there was a significant height difference. "Hey, Cas, take it easy, man." said Dean. "He's just worried."

James stared back at him for a moment, realisation replacing the stubbornness on his face. "They have someone else, don't they?" He asked quietly. "Someone you care about."
"I was with a group of people." Tara's tone and expression grew more serious. "It, uh....it got pretty bad where we were. There was a really bad disease. We were just trying to get away..." She smiled a little, though it looked forced. "I guess we did it."

Cas continued glaring at him with narrowed eyes. "As I said, the stakes are high for both of us. We go tomorrow. Understood?" His voice had taken on the same sort of authority he had used to rally the angels after Raphael threatened to start the apocalypse. Frightening, angry, and non-negotiable.

James eyed him, an angry sullen look still in his blue eyes but more subdued. "Agreed." He answered reluctantly, looking away. "First light. If you people aren't ready I'll go by myself." He turned and stalked away, along the beach.
"You okay, Cas?" Sam asked, looking concernedly at the angel.

Times like this, Castiel would normally just fly away until he felt like talking. Unfortunately that wasn't an option. "I'm fine." he said simply, turning and walking off towards his tent.

Sam watched him leave, then turned to Dean. "What about you?" He asked, bracing himself to be brushed off but continuing anyway. "How are you doing?"

As expected, Dean gave him the half-annoyed, half-joking look. "Well, you know, besides being stuck on a deserted island which apparently isn't so deserted after all, the inhabitants of which kidnapped Claire Novak, who was for some reason on a plane with Charlie, which just happened to crash with us on the same island, which also happens to have a type of demon we've never seen before, I'm just peachy!"

"No, there's something else, isn't there?" Sam persisted, patiently allowing the cutting sarcasm to fly past him. "Come on Dean, can we skip the whole 'tough guy' act for once? Please?"

Dean rolled his eyes and shook his head. "Sam, we're not doing this now. I need to plan for tomorrow, so why don't you go psychoanalyze Sherlock Crazy-Curls over there? He's not even supposed to be out of his cuffs."

Sam looked childishly annoyed, but didn't push it. "Yeah, fine. You should get some rest." He turned and glanced around for Sherlock who wasn't hard to find because he was sitting in a somewhat comical position behind Finch's tent.

Tom sat in the cell, formulating a plan to get out. He had his eyes narrowed slightly as if he was considering something in particular.

Shaw sat leaned against the wall by the door, tense and ready. One hand was held suspiciously behind her back, and she was waiting for someone to come in.
Ben entered the room, looking through the glass at his two prisoners. He approached the glass, eyes more in Tom than Shaw. "Hello, Tom." He greeted the other man pleasantly.

"I must admit, I wasn't surprised when you helped those criminals escape." Ben continued, watching Tomo every move. "You always seemed like the type to question authority. But your brother....now that was a shock."

Tom smiled coldly. "It rather was, wasn't it? I mean...if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes I wouldn't have believed it. But here we are." he shrugged around at his surroundings.

"Hm." Ben hummed in agreement, smiling. "You know, what I can't figure out is how they knew where all my guards were." He continued. "Not even you and James knew that."

"A word of advice." said Tom. "Next time, try and hide guards who aren't either mindless bullies or complete morons. Ridiculously easy to bypass them if you're the least bit clever." In reality, he had no idea how they'd gotten past the guards. That Charlie girl did it. How, he didn't know, but he wanted to make Ben nervous.

Ben seemed to take this advice seriously. "Yes, well, I have replaced most of them." His expression became more serious. "You know, you're brother was more forthcoming." He continued in a darker tone. "He mentioned something about a red haired girl who helped you."

Tom's expression changed considerably at this - though he quickly tried to mask the dread. "Excuse me - my brother? That's not possible." He grinned. "You're bluffing."

Ben grinned back, eyebrows raised. "And why isn't it possible?" He asked in an amused tone. "Did you think all my people were preoccupied with you? Or maybe you didn't take into account the fact that James was slower, because he was also carrying that poor sick woman. Am I getting warmer?"

Tom considered his options. If they really did have James, there was no point pretending otherwise. Ben had absolute leverage, and he knew it. Finally, he decided on a different strategy. He gave Ben an impressed sort of nod. "Well done." he congratulated him. "Now what exactly do you want from me?"

Ben narrowed his eyes at the sudden change, but didn't change his expression further. "We want information." He answered. "How did the group escape? How did Charlie know where the guards were?"
