They should go confront the kittypets and see why they're playing with the bird instead of eating it. They shouldn't act too hostile but they also shouldn't act too friendly either. Redstripe should do a thorough examination. Runningstar makes his way down the slope toward the kittypets, with Heavywolf following closely behind. "What are you doing there?" Runningstar calls, trying not to sound too aggressive with the question. The kittypets startle, staring over at the two Clan cats. Suddenly, one of them speaks- a cinnamon-and-white tom. "A real wild cat! See?? I told you, Flicker was right!" His long fur fluffs up, making himself nearly twice his size. The other, a young tortoiseshell-and-white she-cat, goes back to messing with the bird. She grips onto it, kicking at its chest. Closer now, it looks like there must be something wrong with its wings. The cinnamon tom circles around Runningstar and Heavywolf, tail high and clearly enthusiastic. "We were practicing our hunting!! See? Scooter is really good at doing the kicking!" Her form isn't particularly bad, but the young she-cat has her claws sheathed, while the bird makes pitiful noises. "Why aren't you eating it?" Heavywolf wonders, a little taken aback by the enthusiasm of these kittypets. Usually, they ignore wild cats, and certainly don't tend to enthusiastically engage in conversation. But yet, the tom responds with just as much enthusiasm as before, not seeming to catch on to the clan cat's unsureness. "We're not hungry! Our housefolk feed us plenty. You can have some if you want!"
A thorough examination of Honeypaw's injured legs yields the same conclusion that Redstripe had already come to, but he does offer some important advice. "As long as you stay away from jumping, you'll be fine," he explains, along with a few tips for how Honeypaw can keep pressure off the tender areas. Honeypaw greatly appreciates it, his mind eased by the explanation. Honeypaw +1 respect for Redstripe.
Honeypaw will now be less likely to injure himself while he's healing.
Redstripe now has 1 action left this moon. They shouldn't accept the prey but they should question them why the kittypets would want to hunt if they already had their housefolk to feed them. Honeypaw should go to Roseshine and start his training.

CreamCrow Pondflower decides it's worth it to head out to the twoleg nest- Although it's nowhere near leafbare, catmint is an important supply, and there's no reason to believe that these other cats are going to be hostile. The trek there is long, as the nest sits at the very other end of the twolegplace, but it's not particularly dangerous- it's evening, now, and most twolegs and any animals they might keep are inside their nests, no longer out and about or able to nip at anyone's heels. When she gets to the nest she'd been traveling out to, the moon is already high in the sky. The air smells very strongly of other cats. There are no actual scent markers- at least not in anything resembling a border- but cats very clearly live here, able to slip in or out through narrow cracks in the walls. Pondflower could try to make herself known and ask permission, or hop the fence at the back with the assumption that this isn't quite their territory anyway, since they haven't marked anything. Or perhaps she could even try to avoid going near altogether, and see if there's any catmint growing outside the fence.
"Oh," Leafheart speaks, pausing in marking the borders in order to investigate the kittypet. Usually, the border would be placed right against this twoleg fence anyway, but this time Leafheart hops up onto it. "I didn't know a kittypet lived here." The she-cat seems immediately startled to see Leafheart has hopped up onto the fence, scrambling around as though to find a place to hide. "O-oh, I can't believe this! Just stay in the wild, you- you feral. You'll not be bothering me again!" Leafheart makes the decision not to hop down into the kittypet's yard, not particularly interested in freaking her out any more than she already had. "I'm sorry, but have we met before? I don't think I've done any bothering." "Oh, don't give me that! You're all bothersome! I had to wear that terrible standing collar for a moon the last time one of you came around, and I'll not do it again!" The kittypet's short fur is puffed up dramatically, clearly remembering a battle for which she hadn't been able to fight. "Well..." Leafheart starts, tipping her head to one side. "I'm not planning on hurting you. So. If you could calm down for a second, I was just planning on talking." The kittypet doesn't seem convinced. Leafheart's charisma revealed: 0"If you're not here to cause trouble, what are you doing talking to me? Are you hoping my housefolk will feed you their scraps? Because they don't deal with ferals." She says the last part pointedly, clearly still suspicious of Leafheart's intentions.

Penguin ~ ❄ "We should stop to look for prey, I guess," Waspmouth grumbles as they near the place where the brook splits. Paleblossom simply hums in agreement, slowing her pace before hopping across to some of the rocks that water washes around. "Might as well," she agrees. "The hunting party will probably be searching out rabbits in the grass, instead." Paleblossom easily scoops out a couple of fish onto the bank before deciding to continue- this isn't exactly a hunting patrol. "Have you caught anything yet?" Waspmouth gives a disdainful grunt in response, splashing water up in a disgruntled fashion. "Nothing." "Well, that's alright-" Paleblossom starts, only to be distracted by something glittering under the water. It looks like some sort of twoleg thing, if she had to guess. Should she try to fish it out?
Tinyburr, for as much as he searches, seems to have awful luck with finding herbs. Everywhere he looks, the plants are either too young or unhelpful to take back to camp. Through his pure meticulous nature, Tinyburr spends the entire day searching through the territory for anything he can find, not willing to come back with nothing when he hasn't checked everywhere. Tinyburr pushed himself! He has 0 actions left today.
Tinyburr found 6 doses of tansy (Used for coughs, wounds, poisons. Stops cats from getting greencough. Soothes throats.)

stonekeeper "Er... No thanks," Runningstar responds, unsure exactly how to respond to the young tom's enthusiasm. These cats seem to only be about apprentice age. "Why are you hunting if you've got your housefolk to feed you?" "Umm, because we're going to become part-time wildcats, obviously??? You can't be a feral without hunting! It's just part of the deal!" The tom speaks as though it's an obvious answer, and his sister- Scooter, apparently- stands up with the bird in her mouth, finally dead. "Actually, I just think it's fun," she answers for herself, dropping the bird in front of Runningstar and Heavywolf. "I don't really care about being feral- I just like killing stuff. And it's also tasty. Our housefolk don't mind, as long as we don't bring anything inside."
"Um... Roseshine?" Honeypaw gingerly steps into the cave that makes up the warrior's den, not wanting to wake his mentor if she's sleeping. "Redstripe says I can start training today, as long as we don't do any jumping." "Great!" Roseshine's eyes open, glowing in the dark. Soon, she's enthusiastically sliding out of the den, shaking her pelt of moss scraps. "I'll teach you some hunting today! It should be easier on you than battle training." "Haha, yeah, um... I think hunting is more my thing anyway, I'm... Not sure how good at fighting I'd be." Roseshine and Honeypaw spend the day training. Honeypaw doesn't manage to catch anything, but by the time they get back to camp, he's at least got stalking tips for different animals down, and his hunting crouch has improved.

tinybreeze The borders all seem quiet as Lionstar and Whisperingflame patrol, stopping only to take in the view of a setting sun looking out over DimClan territory- and then even further than that, to valleys unseeable under a light fog that's gathered. "It's awfully nice, isn't it?" Lionstar speaks up, taking a moment to rest. Whisperingflame only hums in response at first, a few moments of silents stretching before she speaks again. "It must be a long trip, climbing from all the way down there each moon." Whisperingflame seems less focused on the scenery, but instead intensely interested with the world at large. "I wonder how many of us are out there." Lionstar considers it for a moment. "However many cats hope to rise up and join the new clans, I suppose." Lionstar and Whisperingflame are have nearly become friends!

Longdust decides not to ponder about this strange not-mouse, and turns away instead to get back to patrolling. Yet another thing distracts him, though, as he only gets a few paces back toward the border before he recognizes the sound voices, too far away to make out most of the words. Up above, on raised platform of wood connected to a twoleg den, there are the figures of 4 cats. Two of them seem quite small, the others larger- Longdust can't be absolutely sure from here, but he thinks he recognizes the larger cats from the last gathering. Probably MountainClan, given that this twoleg home is directly between HailClan and MoutainClan borders. What should he do?
Having recovered from the scare of the fox, Oddnight sets out again to try to find herbs. She manages to find a huge patch of poppies under a tall tree, and begins gathering a few of the flowers. She's only about halfway finished when she hears the thump of something hitting the ground behind her. Turning around, she almost doesn't notice the speckled ginger-and-white tom through all the red flowers at first. But then he gives a long stretch, leisurely laying down in the flowers and turning his head to look at Oddnight. "Now, if you were going to take my flowers, 'least you could've done was asked," he speaks, although doesn't sound particularly angry. It's not like this isn't clearly within HailClan territory, anyway. It would probably be a good idea for Lionstar to rest. --- Longdust, investigate! He'll try to stay out of sight, though. --- Oddnight will apologize, then ask who he is.

CreamCrow Pondflower decides not to do anything that might be misconstrued as sneaking around, and instead steps up to the twoleg nest, not too close in case the cats inside end up being hostile. "Hello? Is anyone in there? I'd like to talk if you've got the time," she calls, but does not get a reply. It's several moments before she gets any indication that there's even anyone in there, and she nearly assumes that they'll just refuse to talk to her, when finally a scrawny gray-and-white tabby tom slides out from a thin crack in the wall, barely managing to get his body through. "What do you want? Who are you?" His tone is suspicious, and posture crouched as though to launch himself at Pondflower at any moment. Pondflower tries to keep her cool, but fails! Pondflower's calm revealed: -3"I-I'm, um. Medicine cat. A medicine cat. Uh, Pondflower, that is. My name's Pondflower." The she-cat's posture is distinctly submissive, tail tucked and crouched down low. She's afraid that this tom might attack her, but for now he just stares for a long few moments. "And what're you wanting with us, medicine cat Pondflower? Don't even know what that means t' begin with." The tom approaches to the edge of the twoleg den's steps, gaze harsh and waiting for her to speak. "I- Um, well a medicine cat heals people, so- Uh. See, you have a herb that I need in your... territory? So I'd like to hop in and take some of the catmint in the back." Pondflower's tail twitches, anxious, but it seems like the tom stopped listening as soon as she said she needed something from them. His eyes are bright for just a moment, before relaxing back into a cold stare. "It sounds like you've got something you want from us," he speaks, "And a talent that could be of benefit to us, here. Sounds like if you wanna get your plants, you're gonna have to do some of that "healing" for us. What'd'ya say?"
"No, look," Leafheart starts, "I only got curious when I saw a kittypet lived here, I've never smelled you around before, even though your den is right up against our territory. My name's Leafheart, what about you?" The she-cat hesitates, still seeming suspicious, but doesn't reply quite as hostilely as she had before. "What kind of name is "Leafheart?" Who has a heart made of leaves? That's just silly..." She pauses, before talking again, tentatively giving her name. "I'm Effie. Sorry for snapping at you, I suppose, but you must understand that the last time a feral came into my yard he messed my leg up bad." She kicks out one of her hind legs, as though to display the injury, but it doesn't look particularly abnormal from here.

Pollen-nose I'll assume you meant a border patrol and not a hunting patrol, but if not just say so and I'll fix it! Dawningsky, Whimbrelstar, and Shroudedsky head out, marking along the borders as normal. However, Dawningsky pricks her ears as they near the very edge of the boggy land that makes their territory. Outside the border, in a thick forest of pines, she notices the yowling and screeching of fighting cats. Should the patrol do anything? It doesn't sound like they're coming near the border, and even if they were most cats don't get too far in the bog if they haven't been here for awhile.
Bitterleaf heads out to collect herbs- nothing too interesting happens, but he does come back with a lot of feverfew. BogClan +5 doses of ferverfew (helps with fever and headaches.)

Penguin ~ ❄ Paleblossom quickly and easily flicks the twoleg-thing out of the water like she would a fish, hurling it toward the bank where her previous catches are gathered. "What's that...?" Waspmouth doesn't sound all too impressed as Paleblossom goes over to inspect it. It looks kind of like some kind of kittypet collar, except either meant for something very large or meant to hang very loose. A smooth, colorful stone hangs off of the collar-thing, glittering in the light. "I think I've seen these before. It's like... a twoleg collar, I think?" "Why do are twolegs so preoccupied with putting things around necks?" Waspmouth gives it a suspicious poke. "Seems pretty useless to me. We should just finish the patrol and bring the fish back to camp." Should Paleblossom take the twoleg-thing with her, or just leave it here?

tinybreeze Lionstar takes a much-deserved rest in camp! Lionstar +1 morale.
Longdust carefully creeps up the stone steps that lead toward the wooden platform, keeping out of sight and listening in to the conversation above. "... are you hunting if you've got your housefolk to feed you?" Longdust picks out as he creeps closer, recognizing the voice of Runningstar, the leader of MountainClan. A voice that he hasn't heard before responds, sounding fairly young. "Umm, because we're going to become part-time wildcats, obviously??? You can't be a feral without hunting! It's just part of the deal!" Longdust can see someone shift, and then words that he can't quite understand from the other young cat. He thinks he can make out "I just like killing stuff," but it's hard to tell.
"Oh, um... Sorry? Who are you, though?" Oddnight sits down, trying not to seem too awkward. "Name's Connor," the tom explains, still quite casual. "I've been living here nearly all my life. Don't actually mind you all hanging around, though. Was thinking of introducing myself soon anyway." Connor yawns, stretching lazily. Oddnight wonders for a moment how no one noticed him, only to realize that the smell of the poppies pretty easily covers any cat-scent around here, and his pelt blends fairly easily in the red. How should Oddnight handle this situation? Connor doesn't seem even vaguely hostile, but he is still living and hunting on HailClan territory.

CreamCrow Cautiously, Pondflower speaks- "What exactly do you mean by "healing," here?" The tom glances back to the crack that he'd previously slid out of, stepping back toward it a few paces. "We have many sick cats," he explains. "If we've got something you want, and you've got skills that we need, it seems fair that we make a deal. Come on- I need to introduce you to Tilly. She's having such trouble breathing, I'm afraid she'll..." He trails off, and it's not hard to tell how concerned he is about whoever this is. "Listen, if you can help us figure out how to help her, you can take as much from the garden as you want."
Leafheart decides not to comment that it doesn't look damaged, figuring that it must have just healed up by now. "Well... I'm sorry that there were other wild cats that hurt you," Leafheart offers, shifting in place on the wooden fence so as to not lose her balance. "But whoever they were, they don't speak for all of us. I know no one from SeedClan would do something like that." Effie flicks her tail, seeming to consider it. "Well," she says, "I guess if there are some decent cats living near my home, I'm not going to complain." Another pause, and then- "You can come down from there, if you want. You look a bit awkward sitting up there.

tinybreeze Longdust decides that this isn't particularly important, and heads back to camp. He does alert Lionstar, however- "MountainClan cats were talking with some young cats at the twoleg nest between our borders. CreamCrow Oh wow thanks so much!! It's super fun to do so I'm really glad that people are liking it! "That sounds perfectly good to me," Pondflower agrees, making her way up the front steps to the twoleg den. "If you want, I can teach one of you some basics of healing, so you can do it for yourself later." The tom recognizes how genuinely kind Pondflower is being. Pondflower's charisma revealed: +1The tom seems taken aback by the offer, halting in front of the crack and giving a long stare back at Pondflower. "That would be good," he finally says, before squeezing himself through the crack and into the nest. Pondflower follows behind, having to pause for a second as she gets inside- The smell of cat had been obvious outside, but in here the stench is almost unbearable, and for a good few moments Pondflower feels overwhelmed with the scent of it. When she regains her senses, it becomes obvious that the tom had not been lying when he said they had a lot of sick; Practically every corner, every perch, every spot that could hold a cat seems to do so. Glowing eyes staring from shadows, queens huddled on dirtied twoleg-things, kits laying lethargic and disinterested. Everything looks fairly awful as he leads her through. Everyone- at least all the cats she can see clearly- look underfed and sick. "The twoleg that used to live here," the tom speaks, snapping Pondflower from her observations. "She used to give us food- when I was still very young. I don't remember her much. But when she left, there weren't any ways to get out and hunt for ourselves. Even now, with openings to squeeze through, most of the cats are too frail or too sick to move anywhere else. If you really can show us how to start making things better, it could mean saving the life of many cats." He leads Pondflower up, hopping over a slight gap in the wooden steps, and then continuing upward. Soon they reach a separate area, smelling a little cleaner than the rest. A pale gray she-cat lays on an elevated twoleg platform, and even from here Pondflower can hear her slow, wheezy breathing. The tom hops up near her, gesturing with his tail for Pondflower to follow. "I moved her here because I thought fresh air would help," he explains, pointing with his nose toward an opening in the wall, from which some cool air flows in. "She's only gotten worse, though. I don't know what to do anymore."
Leafheart considers the offer for a moment before shifting to turn the other way, back toward the border. "Thanks for the offer, but I've got duties to attend to," she explains. "It was nice meeting you though, Effie. I hope you can rest a little easier knowing that we're not the sorts to attack anyone for no reason." "It'll be less nerve-wracking at least," she agrees. And then, after a pause- "Goodbye, Leafheart." Leafheart and Effie are now acquaintances!

kiwi cheesecake No worries about lateness! That's part of why I like having the moons be a few days long, so that people don't have to respond right away. "So, this is how you do a hunter's crouch," Sunpelt explains to Stormfeather, demonstrating the proper posture. The other she-cat mimics the motion, creeping forward toward a leaf on the ground. Between Sunpelt's charismatic nature and Stormfeather's desire to please, she's catching on fast. Sunpelt's charisma revealed: +1"Do you really think that I'll be able to kill anything?" Stormfeather bats the leaf up off the ground, watching it float and twirl in the air. "I've never done anything like this- learning from another cat how to do things." "I think you're a natural already!" Sunpelt purrs, angling her ears toward a mouse. "Go ahead and try for that one. I'm sure you can do it; Just make sure to keep low to the ground, and move with light steps." Stormfeather cautiously creeps up on the mouse, keeping her cool even with Sunpelt watching her- Wiggling her haunches, Stormfeather lands directly on the mouse, curling her claws around it. A high-piched squeal comes from her, back feet making clumsy steps all over the place, almost as frantically as the mouse squirming around in her paws. "I got one!! I got one!!" "You did! Great job!" Sunpelt purrs, stepping toward her. "You'll need to kill it, though, unless you plan on being particularly gruesome." "Oh!" Stormfeather suddenly seems to remember that the mouse is actually alive, and quickly ends its life with a bite to the neck. "Sorry, I just got so excited! I've never killed a mouse before! Oh, I can't believe I did it!" Sunpelt and Stormfeather are becoming fast friends!
Stormfeather brings in 2 mice for the fresh-kill pile. +2 meals
Sunpelt brings a rabbit for the fresh-kill pile. +2 meals (Alright! I'm so proud of Stormfeather owo. Knew she'd make a good clan cat. Then I'll send my border patrol buddies, Icepelt and Harestar, out on- well, a border patrol.)
