hello friends! i just wrote up this entire post and then accidentally backspaced off the page and everything went away so now I have to type everything up again *sigh*. But anyways, I have a plot that I'm interested in roleplaying. I just wanna put up a quick warning beforehand: this plot will deal with some mature themes (ie drug use, alcoholism, mental illnesses, etc.). If these things make you uncomfortable then this is not the plot for you, sorry! Now, in terms of a partner, I'm looking for someone who can post correct spelling, grammar, punctuation, etc and someone who can post at least one paragraph (6-8 sentences) per post. I usually prefer to roleplay about 3-4 paragraphs per post, but I'm keeping it at a minimum of one because I know that a lot of people are unable/unwilling to write that much, and that's okay! In terms of activity I'm just looking for someone who can put up a roleplay post every few days. No biggie.
** note: if you want to see examples of how I usually roleplay, please go here.
The Plot ;; (based loosely on the If I Stay book series)
Muse A is a hardworking girl who has played the piano since before she could walk. Her parents, finding extreme talent in the young girl, sent her away to a music-centric boarding school, which prepped her for admission into Berklee College of Music in Boston, and gave her a strong grasp of many different musical disciplines. Now she attends school in the bustling city, and concentrates on her school work more than anything. Until she meets Muse B, the lead guitarist/vocalist for an underground rock band that is slowly but surely on the rise to fame, gaining more and more followers every single day.
One night, Muse A’s friend drags her along to one of their concerts (even though Muse A really has no interest in rock music). Muse A’s friend is infatuated with Muse B, and brings Muse A along to meet Muse B after the show. While Muse A’s friend gushes over how good Muse B was, Muse A off-handedly gives Muse B tips on how to make their performance better. Muse B, a little insulted and a little intrigued by Muse A, shoots back some comment about how she knows what good music is (but realizes that her tips are actually helpful). Muse A comments about going to Berklee, etc.
At Muse A’s next piano performance, Muse B shows up, fascinated by her skills and Muse B ends up pursuing her until she finally agrees to date him. Muse A is shocked by the lifestyle that Muse B leads (especially as their band rises to fame) with increased drinking, and the introduction of drugs into his life. Will Muse A stick around and help Muse B through a tough time? Or are his actions too much for her to handle? Will Muse B stop his downward spiral or will he lose everything that’s important to him?
Muse A ;; (open)
Muse B ;; (claimed by me, character undecided, but in the works)
Muse A's friend ;; I can also roleplay her ^.^ ** Note: I created this intending for it to be a mxf plot, however I would be willing to change it to a fxf plot if that's what's desired, though I'd kinda like to keep it mxf ^.^

(Forgive me if my character is a bit weird. Been awhile since I rped a female. ^^ Also I'm going to try rping a new type of character since most females I rp tend to be Serial Killers. xD )
Elizabeth Livingston | 20 | Pianist Elizabeth Livingston a young adult female standing at approximately at a small size of 4'9 feet. She has a slim body build which doesn't help with her small size. Her hair reaches to about her neck, and is always combed so the bangs are swept to the right side of her face. The color of her hair is a bright blonde shade, but in the roots of her hair it gets kind of darker in color. Her eyes are a wolfish grey color that always seem to be judging you. Her nose is sharp and small. Her ears are always hidden beneath her blonde hair. She always tends to paint her nails a clear color so that they look slightly polished. Speaking of the pianist hands they are small, and nimble in shape giving her the ability to play keys on a piano quite quickly, and perfectly. Elizabeth's clothing is what many would expect from the young pianist. Her casual outfit consist of light pink shirt with a white wool half light jacket that only reaches half of the shirt, and has flower pedals designed into it. As for pants she wears a white khakis that ends at her ankles. Along with a small black belt. Footwear she tends to wear white dress shoes with a strap over each shoe that has a golden patent design on the middle of the shoe. Finally on sunny days she tends to wear a white floral hat that shades her from the sun. The hat has a black strap around it, and on good days she tends to put a white rose through the strap as the white rose is her favorite flower. As for her work clothes she basically wears a white sun dress that goes to her mid knees, and has a flower design on the chest area along with a pair of white high heels. She also tends to wear a silver necklace with a cross on it whether she be working, or walking the town.
Miss Livingston as a person is a very caring young lady. As a small child she was bullied by the popular girls, because she tended to befriend the nerdy kids. Most people who want to find a reason to dislike her tend to say she only befriends the nerds, or worms of society out of pity. However Miss Livingston isn't merely just that. Miss Livingston is also known for her intelligence as she was one of the highest ranking students in her school prior to college. She loves classic music, and opera as well. However she isn't fond of anything past classic, and opera so she tends to not know many popular bands that her peers would listen to. Besides music Miss Livingston is a big florist, and has a small garden with her at any place she lives at. She tends to favor white roses over much else, but she does plan to work on different species once she finds a place she wishes to call home for her life. However the most interesting fact about Miss Livingston is that deep down she is a comic book nerd. If you ever find yourself in this ladies bedroom, and check a certain chest at the foot of her bed you will find graphic novels of Preacher, Walking Dead, and Crossed. That's another weird fact about this young lady is she only reads the messed up comics you won't find Superman, batman, or etc in her chest only those three stories. The reasons behind this when questioned is she enjoys the story.
Now for Livingston's flaws the things that make her a true person rather than the perfect Pianist that she attempts to let people see. Miss Livingston is easily scared by many things, which doesn't seem like much. However her fear isn't the normal kind. She has high anxiety problems when she's alone to the point if a stranger merely says hi, and she isn't A with a friend, or B on a pill she will have an anxiety attack. However this flaw in her personality is normally counteracted with her proscription, and she hadn't had an anxiety attack since Junior year in High School. As for another weird kinks that could count against are young pianist would be her attempts to always be right. She mainly only does this when she's around strangers, but if someone does something she doesn't like she will point it out clear as day. To the point where she sometimes starts fights, and when she's on her anxiety pill she isn't afraid to throw some hands around. Though with her small frame most people could take her in a fight.
Miss Livingston's history isn't very notable besides the fact her parents felt the need to help her pianist talents, and sent her to schools that did that. She was bullied in school, but nothing physical, and it didn't last much past freshman year of high school. Livingston's boyfriend counter has always been zero, and counting since she doesn't find any need in having a companion. Though that doesn't mean she's into females either the simple fact is she had yet to find a guy who she felt the urge to kiss that wasn't an actor, or what have you. Most guys who attempted the "Livingston Challenge" got shot down the moment they asked to hang out. Livingston is the type of person to get what needs to be done, done then go home to either tend to her garden, or practice her piano. In fact her friend's are very limited, and she really only has one that she tends to hang out with. Other than that the only thing from her past that still effects her life today is the fact that her older brother is a bar owner who lives in a run down apartment, but he's not a freeloader so she doesn't see him much, and when she does it's normally during Holidays.
Rp'ed by Phantom
(Woo I hope that's an okay character. Most flushed out I've ever gotten in a character for an rp. I'm going to make her brother next merely for the fact that I prefer to always have a comedic side-character at my disposal. However the main reason is my muse to make another character is growing. So if you don't like him we can simply not ever use him, and if you do like him maybe he can be Muse B's friend, or My girl's friend love interest if we want to double it up. Once again sorry if you think this is too much with another character. My muse just won't stop. xD If you don't want to have a side character you can stop reading at this point.)
Optional side character
Dexter 'Dex' Livingston | 25 | Bar Owner
Dexter Livingston the odd duckling of the Livingston family. Like his younger sister he is quite a small young adult only standing at 5'4 just a bit larger than his sister. However unlike his sister who took the hair of their mother Dex took the hair of their father which unlike the blonde shade is a raven black shade. His hair only goes to about his ears, and is normally is a messy shaggy style as if he just got out of bed. Along with his shaggy hair he has a shaggy beard as well that connects from his hair, and even his mustache. He is lean of build, but that's only with a shirt as he in fact has quite an athletic body build from all the running he does. He tends to wear a white sleeveless tank top with a dirty green jacket that has an avenged seven fold logo on the right chest side. As for pants he tends to wear brown cargo pants, and a pair of old red, and white sneakers he had since he graduated high school. However he also sometimes wear costumes as he likes to dress up, and do stupid things for his youtube videos. For example opening up his bedroom closet you'd find his normal outfit as in five different versions of it so people can't say he wears the same outfit everyday, but past that he also has a hippie costume, and a cowboy one as well alone with a spiderman outfit, and many other different things ranging from comic book superheros to a preacher outfit. He always says nothing better than pretending to be someone else while you do stupid things for people on the internet. Dex unlike the other members of the Livingston family doesn't live the first class life despite having the money to do so. He could have attended college, and done just as much stuff as Eliza, but instead he chose to drop out of highschool, and buy a run own bar he named Dex's pub. The pub is mainly inhabited by college students since the drinks are cheap, and Dex is a fun guy. With that many people would say Dex tends to be the life of a party have it be with flirting with a girl while her buff boyfriend is standing right next to her, to chugging a whole bottle of whiskey. He even once jumped onto the stage he had set up for a band, and kissed the lead vocalist who just so happened to be dating the drummer who was also known for benching over his weight. Let's just say Dex is well known at the hospital. Besides fun loving people would most likely say Dex is an idiot. For example he once paid someone to hit him with a car while he played a guitar in a wrestler outfit. Some say he's got a few screws loose, but the truth is he's finding his own way to be as loved as his younger sister. Since he isn't smart, or a good musician he chose to be the Johnny Knoxville bartender who does crazy stuff, and just doesn't care. Dex's strengths as a person can be his high damage tolerance, and his love to entertain. His stupid acts used to be to live up to his younger sister, and match her. However it soon evolved into being what he is as a person. He is an amazing actor, and some people think he should stop running a crappy bar, and doing stunts that could kill him, and try out to star in a movie, or something like that. However his one problem with that is his lack of ambitions. He merely wants to start a family, and run his bar. He always says let his sister have all the fame while he drinks, and see how much trouble he can get it. Dex's history is a lot different than Elizabeth's. While she went to special schools Dex stayed in public, and became a popular guy. Not as the pretty boy foot ball player, but as the class clown who always managed to steal the all star football players girl. However he chose to drop out as a Junior, and started his youtube version of jack ass. Later when he was old enough he bought Dex's pub, and has basically been running that, and his youtube channel. He lives in a shabby apartment, and merely watches over his sister.... without her knowing though.

A Terrible Description of a Single Character:
Sabine Bordeaux is pretty enough to be on the show America’s Next Top Model, but not quite pretty enough to be an actual model, if you catch my drift. She is tall, standing at about 5’7’’, her figure is slight, and she looks kind of fragile, as if she could break at just the slightest touch. Compared to her frame, her features are quite dark, and some might say even a little bit harsh. Her face is very angular, with a strong jawline and prominent cheek bones. Her hair is a rich dark brown color with well defined and slightly “bushy” eyebrows to match. The length of her hair falls to the small of her back. She usually wears it natural, so a little wavy, a little frizzy. Her eyes are dark, just like the rest of her features; they’re a brown that look black in almost any light, except for direct sunlight, where the brown color is actually noticeable. Her style of dress is very dependent on what she is doing or how she’s feeling. If she is going to class, she will simply wear a comfortable dress. If she is going to an interview or a meeting of some sort, she will dress professionally and elegantly in some sort of pantsuit. If she is going to a concert, she’ll wear jeans and a leather jacket. She can be quite unpredictable in that aspect. (age: 21)
Sabine is quite the odd duck. Hailing from a small town outside of Paris, France, Sabine grew up in a family that pressured her to be great at something that she was not very interested in: the violin. She reluctantly took up the instrument when she was young, and is an adequate player, though definitely not the best. Sabine is fascinated by the American lifestyle. That’s about 90% of the reason she actually agreed to go to school at Berklee; not to study the violin, but the study the American people. She has been in the country for a few years now, and speaks English quite well, though her French accent in very noticeable. Sabine is the kind of person who will try anything just for the experience. This quality of hers has gotten her into quite a lot of trouble. She’s been arrested a few times, but never deported. She will make friends with anyone that she meets, and is very good at talking herself out of trouble. A lot of times she uses her nationality as a cover for her "not knowing" about certain laws and such.

Madden Santos ––
Growing up in a household with four other children, Madden has always been vying for attention since before he could remember. This is where his penchant for preforming began, and has grown to this day. Madden has something of a complex, where he always has to be the best, because he believes that anything short of perfection will get him cast aside. This trait of his, though the main reason for his band’s rise to fame, is also a huge part of his downfall. He pushes himself to limits that he just can’t bounce back from, and has begun to turn to alternative methods of coping that one would typically recommend. Madden has always liked to be the jokester of every group, anything that he could do to pull the attention towards himself. Now that’s he’s just short of famous, he revels in it, and can be quite greedy (not necessarily money-wise, but more or less attention-wise). He is undoubtedly a good musician, with near expert guitar skills, and a voice that is good enough in person to get him by. He took guitar lessons as a kid, but as he grew older he was more or less self-taught, coming up with new things on his own, however when his band began their steep ascent into fame, their manager insisted that he started taking guitar lessons again, though Madden resented it and started skipping the lessons.
He was born in America, but is of Brazilian descent. He has tanned skin that is littered with tattoos, some he got while drunk and he has no clue why he got them, others mean a lot to him. His hair is a medium brown that falls in nice waves. It curls a bit when he preforms because he gets all sweaty and kinda gross. His eyes are a bright hazel that often get hidden behind sunglasses of some sort to hide whatever his state of intoxication is. He has a relatively tall build, standing at 6 feet even. He keeps his body in good shape because his band manager directs him to, though as his substance abuse problems get worse he gets scrawnier and more unhealthy looking.

(My posts will get better, as I get more used to the characters. ^^)
The morning sunlight escaping through the window hit the face of the sleeping blonde female who laid curled up in her queen sized bed. She was wearing a light pink sleeping gown that went to about her kneecap in length. The covers of the blanket were tossed on the floor, and the pillows were all over the bed. Unlike most nights the room was in a semi-mess. For unlike most nights Elizabeth had quite the night. Normally after classes she would return to her dorm room, and study. However deciding she was tired of living off her parents' money she had decided to take a part time job. Deciding to take a easier job first she had chosen to go to her big brother Dex who owned a local bar. So last night she had been a pianist at a bar. The night started of tame she had simply played some classical music, but as the night went on the customers demanded more of a up beat tone to her music. It was odd for Elizabeth to get a good tone started, but she had pulled something off. A piano version of a song from a game she played on her phone. As the music went from classic to upbeat semi-pop she herself changed a bit from normal self, and had taken Dex's offer for a few drinks. A few drinks became a lot of drinks. Leading to the current state of her room. Luckily the room was the only thing a bit weird as Elizabeth had kept control of herself for the most part, and Dex watching out for her making sure she didn't do anything she'd regret. Opening her left eye slightly she moaned as the ray of light hit her, and she turned over. "...... Five more min-" She started to groan when her alarm clock went off... Something that she never heard since she was up two hours before it was suppose to go off... Meaning she had thirty minutes to get ready for class. With her eyes widening the blonde pushed herself up, and looked at the clock. "..... You've got to be kidding me....." She spoke in a tired voice as she quickly got to her feet, and headed into the bathroom. Luckily her dorm mate didn't seem to be around to delay her process any more than it already was. Removing her gown she quickly got in the shower, and turned the knob making sure it was the coldest she could get as she was hoping it would help with her headache. "I know why I hate drinking now." She whispered to herself as she finished her shower, and got dress in her normal outfit for school. Combing her hair quickly she tossed the brush to the side, and grabbed her keys.
Skipping breakfast was the only reason the blonde was able to reach the inside of her first class of the day. Taking a seat closest to the front she laid out her notebook which was getting quite filled. Elizabeth was quite a good note taker which made since coming from her. "Whew I've made it." She let out a sigh of relief as she looked at the clock normally she would have went to a cafe first, and water her plants. Though today she would have to delay those actions. She always made sure to never miss, or be late to classes especially in college. She has had perfect attendance since preschool, and so she didn't plan on ever breaking that achievement. The class went on as normal with her taking notes, and listening to the professor as he spoke. Her small nimble hands moved in quick motions as she wrote smaller versions of what the professor was saying, and when he dismissed the class she took five more minutes to check her notes before closing the black notebook, and standing up.
The good thing about college was Elizabeth only had two classes on certain days, and today was one of the days. So she had about four hours to waste before she had to head to her last class of the day. So know came the hard part of her day. Deciding what to do for the day. She didn't like to bother her friends, or friend. She was always the type of person to wait for them to contact her before hanging out. So with that she decided to head to the local cafe she frequented. It wasn't a Starbucks as she didn't like the crowds there, in fact it was a little shop that not many people went to since it was out of most people's way. Entering the small building she walked up the counter. As she entered the older man behind the counter gave a small wave. "I missed you this morning, Miss Livingston." He spoke with a smile to the young lady as he got ready to make her usual order. "I assume you want the usual?" He asked, and got to work not even waiting for an answer. Elizabeth smiled simply at his actions she loved places like this, where the owners acted like your friend. Mainly because she wasn't a fan of talking. "Here you go darling, this ones on the house." He told her as he handed her a plate of iced tea, and a muffin. "Maybe tell your brother about this, and I might get a few drinks!" He joked, and went back to cleaning the counter.
"I'll maker sure to tell him." Elizabeth promised, and found her normal table near the back of the cafe. Sitting down she took out her phone to check for messages. She had waited til just now to check her phone since she had been in a rush til now. Luckily it seemed only a few texts from Dexter asking if she had seen his hat. Without giving an answer she simply put her phone down, and took a sip of her tea. She had one more class, and no work as Dex only wanted her on Sundays meaning today was going to be a very simple day.

Sabine Bordeaux ––
Sabine was accustomed to living a life full of excitement. It wasn’t very often that she slowed down to really take in the beautiful bits of the world around her. She had always been less of a looker and more of a feeler. She never focused on the details of how things around her appeared physically, but rather how they made her feel internally. Maybe that was such a huge part of her fascination with American culture. The land of indulgence, her parents had mocked when she brought up the idea of going to school in America. The land of the selfish and undisciplined. Well, maybe Sabine fit in more here than her parents could have ever imagined.
9 A.M. rolled around, and Sabine couldn’t find it in herself to move from her bed. She had spent the night out somewhere (exactly where, she did not remember) but the music was loud and the drinks were strong and that’s all the really mattered to her. Now she found herself nursing a mild hangover, twisted up in her comforters, laying on her back with her feet leaning up against the wall, watching the way the sunlight filtering through the window made patterns on the wall opposite to her. She should be in class right now, actually she should have been in class half and hour ago, but what did it matter if she skipped here and there; it wasn’t as if she actually wanted to learn about music theory, or how to compose her own pieces. No, her classes were merely another chore that allowed her to stay in America and continue having the time of her life. A small part of her figured that maybe soon she was going to have to start shaping up. If she wanted to continue living over seas, she has to continue attending school here. And if she missed many more classes, well, the drop in her grades might be cause for disciplinary action. Sabine decided that she was going to attend her class later on this afternoon. For now, she figured that getting out of bed was the best start to her day, and she did just that.
Sabine readied herself at a leisurely pace. Really, she didn’t have anywhere to be today (aside from her class that was currently happening now, and the class she had later on today) but she would not stumble upon a new adventure if she was cooped up inside her tiny dorm room, so out she would go, and hopefully she would have a great day. Her shower was warm and cleansing, both for her body and for her mind. There was something about the rising steam and the sharp smell of eucalyptus from her soap that relaxed every tense muscle in her body. She dressed simply in a black dress that fell to her knees, a tan suede jacket over the top, and small tan ankle booties to match. She put on a pair of sunglasses to hide her tired eyes, and a smidgen of lipgloss to at least make it look like she tried. She grabbed her handbag and tossed it over her shoulder, exiting her building and walking down the street with a sense of purpose, though she had none.
The young girl stopped outside of her favorite record store and scanned the bulletin board that was hanging outside, a place for up and coming bands to advertise their shows. Much of Sabine’s taste in music had been born from this bulletin board, along with the other singers she found playing in the park, or Quincy Market. Beautiful, wonderful, simple people, she always thought. Just trying to make an honest living; nothing wrong with that, right? One flyer in particular caught her eye, printed an a soft green sheet of paper was an advertisement for a band, Skies Collide. A simple band, Sabine had heard them before and enjoyed their music enough to go to another show. She ripped the flyer off the bulletin board as if it had been hers all along. Decidedly, Sabine did not want to attend this show alone. Yes, she was one for making friends, but tonight she wanted to experience this with someone that she already knew, and Sabine knew just the person, and just where to find her.
A short subway ride to the other end of town, Sabine found herself standing in front of a small, unknown cafe. Not the place that she would usually go for coffee, but Sabine knew that this was a place that Elizabeth frequented, and if the girl wasn’t in class, she was probably here. Sabine found herself marching through the doorway of the cafe, the bell above the door ringing a startling amount when she slammed it open. She scanned the room quickly, before her eyes fell upon the exact girl she was looking for. Sabine let a soft smile creep upon her lips. In a city of hundreds and thousands of people, it was unlikely that Sabine was to find the exact single person she was looking for, but here she was. The young piano protege.
“Salut, mon amie,” Sabine declared as she walked up to the table Elizabeth was sitting at. She slapped the flyer down on the table and took a seat across from the other girl. “You, me, tonight. No exceptions.” She tapped the flyer with her finger to indicate exactly what she meant by that phrase. She propped her sunglasses atop her head, and looked at the Elizabeth pleadingly. So maybe they weren’t the best of friends, but they both (Sabine and Elizabeth) seemed to be.. different from the rest of their classmates. Not in the way that every girl is ~different~ but Elizabeth is at the top of her class, almost in a caliber of her own, and Sabine, well, Sabine is the bottom of the barrel, but opposites attract, right?, “You cannot say no.” She added, hoping that maybe, just maybe Elizabeth would want to go out with her tonight.

The quietness of the little cafe was relaxing to Elizabeth. She quite enjoyed silence it gave her time to think, and enjoy life without all the noise that the outside brings about. The only thing that brought about more peace to Elizabeth was the sound of classical music, and as if the cafe owner read her mind the sound of Edvard Grieg soon came on through the small stereos located in the four corners of the small room. The cafe was a truly small building, it was only meant for about ten customers at a time which fit since the building barely had more than five at a time on a good day. Elizabeth lifted the small white cup of tea to her lips, and took a sip just in time to hear the familiar sound of the door bell going indicating someone was here. She didn't think nothing of it as she hadn't expect anyone to come here for her, but as she set the cup down she noticed a flyer that was placed on the table. It seemed to be an advertisement for a band called Skies Collide. Her eyes went up from the flyer as she recognized the voice that was basically commanding, rather than asking her to go somewhere.
"Greetings Sabrina." She responded with a simple greeting as her brain needed to process what was going on, she was running on low today so she had to take a moment to let this information ferment in her brain. She turned her gaze back to the flyer as she gave it one more glance. "This doesn't look like an orchestra." She spoke in a friendly enough tone despite not wanting to have anything to do with this concert. She had spent yesterday already doing something that was new to her, and she wasn't sure she wanted to ruin another night of peace for the loud noises of guitars, and drums. "If I can't say no, can I say maybe?" She questioned looking back up at her friend Sabrina. She felt rude not wanting to go mainly because she always said no to hanging out, especially to events like these. She had never gone to a concert that didn't involve her kind of musical taste.
She took an innocent sip of her tea as she looked at back at the flyer trying to find a way to get out of this. She figured saying she wasn't feeling good would only lead to Sabrina forcing her to go anyways. However when she thought all was lost, and she would be stuck going an idea struck Elizabeth, and she smiled as she raised a finger. "As much as I would love to go see....." She glanced down back at the flyer to get the bands name again. "... Skies Collide, I have to work for Dexter tonight." She put on her most honest face, lying at this point to break off plans was her second greatest talent next to being pianist. "You know how much I care about my perfect attendance, and calling off work would ruin that." She stated as she picked up her cup again.
"If I didn't have to work tonight, I would love to go." She lied convincingly as she finished off her cup of tea, and looked at Sabrina with an apologetic look placed upon her face. She was quite good at this, and it even frightened her sometimes about how good she was at lying. Though this wasn't her best lie as a simple call to the bar would lead to the truth of her only having to work on Sundays. She could tell Sabrina was pleading, but another night of loud noises, and cheering just wasn't something Elizabeth was going to do, well at least not easily. She would put a fight, but it could easily be possible to force the blonde to go. It would merely take work, and effort to force the blonde to go.
