She held up three fingers, "Generously thinking, Coran, Camilla and Ralif are unknown to them. The rest of us would be arrested on sight, and whilst it is possible, breaking into the prison back in Leibonia would be a serious set back in both resources and time. Ralif, no offense I love you, but between the mask and the eyepatch you both stand out and look shifty, two things Iratus will not miss. Camilla and Coran however, are adorable and approachable. Eager tourists from Egring who are in awe of the royal guard, and not at all a threat." She thought out loud, rolling her hands at her wrists. Planning was not always her forte, the moment was more her thing, but going in blind here would be stupid. "Both of you go into town and one of you approaches the first guard you see. Camilla, preferably, would be doing the talking. You're bedazzled and awed by this show of force." She reminded, her face hurt from the smile at this stage but she didn't drop it, "Find out what you can without seeming too eager and do not engage with the Captain." Her grin faltered briefly, "Iratus can smell your blood from a mile away."

Ralif quite simply shrugged, more than happy to not have to reveal himself. In fact, despite the complete lack of expression on his face, he was positively gleeful to be rid of Camilla on their little venture, no doubt she was feeling the same way about not having to traipse around with him. "That's a plan that works quite well, assuming they'd buy the idea that anybody without an interest in big game hunting would willingly come to Kydos." The place was desolate and rugged, not the type for a family getaway or a honeymooning couple. "Perhaps locating a backup distraction would work as well? I'm sure the royal guard would have their hands full subduing a tavern brawl here, if for some strange reason that so happened while we were on the island."

Camilla was quite the actress and she had confidence they would be able to pull it off. Plus, she liked Coran and enjoyed his company much better than a certain someone. She wrapped an arm around Coran's shoulders and pulled him tight "Oh papa would be so excited! He used to always tell brother and I how strong our military is!" She said gleefully, even adding in a slight accent to further the ploy. She gave a slight frown at Ralif's comment, he was right of course, neither she nor Coran looked ready to hunt big game and there wasn't much else to do on Kydos. They could distract for a little but, but soon that question would be asked. Why were they there. Kain shook his head slightly. "No, tavern brawl will draw too much attention. Mercenaries frequent here to work on their skills and earn some cash for furs, no need getting their attention." It was a good idea for a bigger city where one could start the fight the sink into the crowd, but if the Royal Guard was already on them who knew who else was, no need to add to the list. "Maybe either Camilla or Coran has a lover here and he's off hunting. Lured them in for a fun time now they're stuck waiting for him to return bored out of their minds." Xavier suggested and pulled one of Coran's curls teasingly, a grin playing on his lips.

Coran wasn't entirely sure what was going on, following the conversation back and forth, and only catching on half way through who that big ship belonged to, I should have known that. When Camilla pulled him close he beamed broadly, he was hardly a natural actor, but he found it easy to leech off of the doctor's confidence and was certain in his ability to play along. Besides, it wouldn't be too hard to look scared of the Royal Guards, seeing as he was terrified of them. At Xavier's tease he jumped and batted the tall man's fingers away, blushing, "Shouldn't be a problem," He pushed his glasses up his nose with one finger, "But are you sure they wouldn't find it odd?" he asked no one in particular, not eager to be locked up and thrown in a cell. Whetu has been keeping one ear on the conversation and one eye on the ship in the distance, but plugged back in to answer, "None of us can be sure of anything ever. I'm not even sure this isn't some kind of lucid dream. Now go, both of you, get down there and act natural. If you panic, throw a faint, they'll blame it on the heat. But actually, don't panic. That would be disastrous."

Xavier grin grew further when Coran batted him away and he shrugged a little at the Navigator's nervous question. "See, the beauty of it is that neither you nor Camilla are wanted by the law. So even it it's odd they can't arrest you on that alone. Unlike us, who they probably go to bed at night throwing knives at our wanted posters." He pulled one of his revolvers from the holster and rolled the barrel thoughtfully. Camilla nodded eagerly in agreement, she was glad to have a little excitement and it was better they stay in town then search with the rest of the group. She needed to be ready to treat any wound, not get eaten by a harpy.

Nothing came from Ralif besides emanating approving silence as he watched the rest of the crew interact. The idea of either of their "innocent" members was an idea that was nothing short of genius given how short of a notice they'd been given, and bar a leviathan coming ashore and eating a few royal guardsmen, a better distraction was not forthcoming. "Good, glad we're settled then. It's best if these two stay safe." His tone was, for once, lacking in a caustic tone, he was being entirely serious. As an olive branch perhaps, he gave Camilla a short nod. "Make sure to actually stay safe, the doctor and the navigator aren't replaceable."

"Let's go now, before I think too hard about it." He bounced on the balls of his feet, eyes tripping towards the shoreline. Coran had a habit of being perfectly good at something until he thought about it for longer then six seconds, then it all went to hell, for some reason. He felt better about it knowing Camilla was there, for some reason he had a good feeling about her acting abilities, and aptitude to charm a guard or two. It couldn't all be rules and gold breast plates for them, maybe they'd welcome a friendly face with nice eyes

(I CANT GO ON. THE ENDING WOULD HAVE BEEN SO PERFECT BUT THST WRECKED ME. LIKE I LOVE ANGST BUT NO)
Camilla appreciated Ralif's small gesture of a truce, she still did not appreciate his words from before and wasn't certain if he cared about her and Coran, or just their important roles, but regardless she would take it for now. "We'll be careful."'she promised and avoided throwing in any sarcasm or a tease. She knew it wasn't a good idea to go to shore with the rest of the crew just in case, so she blew a kiss to them all. "Good luck! Don't be eaten by harpies!" She said cheerfully and followed Coran to the dingy they would be taking to shore.

I WAS SO M A D THEY DESERVED HAPPINESS THEY ALL DID tho i nearly forgave her for 'is my tie straight?' because my heart died BUT S T I L L )
The shore of Kydos was dusty and it looked like the entire island followed suit. The only buildings Coran could see where all made of wood, with no brick or even covering on the exterior of them to help protect them from the harsh winds. If there ever were any. A few people were milling around, talking, drinking from dirty glasses, and cast wary glances at the little rowboat as it boarded land. Struggling to look natural, Coran turned to Camilla, "Do you see any guards?" Unless they were in disguise, he could only spot locals, who did not look pleased at the arrival of strangers (which was just poor business strategy, honestly).

(I KNOW AND I THOUGHT HE WAS OK FOR A HOT SECOND THERE. Wow just Kaz in that Wole book wrecked me. Him calling Jesper Jordie and then Jes, him going to the dregs and bein BA I was so there for that. The ending was soo good if it weren't for Matthias ;_; )
Camilla helped row and pull the boat to shore. She had to admit she was a little uncomfortable with the looks the locals gave, but she didn't feel that would be much of a problem, even if if was ennerving. "I don't, but remember we're not looking for guards, we don't know the wonderful Royal Guard would Grace this island with their presence." She replied smoothly and pulled on her dress before jumping from the boat. She adjudged the strap on her shoulder and frowned a little. "Now what to do while we wait."
Heath was in a bad mood. That wasn't particularly new for him, as his guards knew all to well, but the weather made him sour. Usually travel was thrilling, especially when they were hunting criminals down and showing them the power of the law, but Kydos was a sorry excuse for an island and the people that lived there were just as pathetic. "Have you seen the ship." He asked his right hand. His sharp black eyes were narrowed at the sea, one hand over his eyes to try and avoid the glaring reflection, but it was difficult to see much of anything out there. Rumor had it, Whetu had assembled an elite crew and was going after a big prize. Heath furrowed his blonde brows and snorted. "They have another thing coming, Eh?" He wanted them captured alive, but dead wouldn't be tragic. It was their duty afterall to cleans the crown of any scum that stained the kings lands.

THE BIT WHERE KAZ WENT OT THE DREGS MESSED ME U P ,,,, but Inej got her family back and that is Very Good also Jesper kissed a lot of people, also good. I'LL N E V E R BE OVER MATTHAIS I LOVED THAT BIG GRUMPY CONVICT also seeing strumhund, Zoya and Genya (my one and only) was a beautiful touch ) "Act natural?" He offered, the obvious suggestion. He offered her his arm to link, half in the act, half out of support. He didn't like the thought of anyone judging him and he seemed to have landed on the most judgmental island in the entire world. "Make small talk?" Anything to stop himself thinking too hard about what other might be thinking of him, "You and Ralif seem to talk a lot, and he didn't strike me as much of a talker." He tried, venturing into gossip was always a good way to clear your mind. "Are you two friendly?" The doctor was really the only one on the ship he would consider friendly: Kain was well, Kain, Ralif was secretive, Sonal was scary, Xavier was mockingly confident and Whetu was talkative, but knife sharp and white hot. At least Camilla was an actual person he could talk to. "Yes they do sir." She beamed, looking forward to the attack. Chrysanta had been on raids and busts before, but they were all in the confines of her beloved city, and never after as big game as this. "I'm glad to see our informant was correct." The olive skinned girl dipped her head quickly, hands clasped behind her back, back straight. She was always composed, but something about being around her Captain made her more alert, more military. He just had that kind of air. If two years ago someone would have told her where she was right now, she wouldn't have believed them. She'd never had the pleasure of meeting any of this crew up close and personal, but she'd heard enough about them to be eager for their capture. Have you ever seen the 101 Dalmatians? Because this bit with the Great Dane and his son is just my mental image of Heath and Chrysanta im sorry )

(Hello!)
Ralif, while not watching their approach, did hope that the pair of them turned out all right. Sure, there was the pragmatic reasoning behind it in not losing two valuable crew members, but it wasn't simply for logic's sake that he wanted to see them return. Even if Camilla and he clashed like no other, he'd never wish harm nor death come to the doctor. He'd yet to speak to Coran past one or two words in passing, small talk quickly forgotten as if it had never happened, but the kid seemed alright. Too innocent for what their goal was, certainly for a hard life out at sea. "So, when are we heading out?"
Soren was entirely silent as he stood behind the other two members of the guard. He was their inferior in rank, and interrupting them unless spoken to was probably a poor choice, at least in the current climate. They had a mission, a goal here, it wasn't just some random patrol like back home. If it was he'd be smiling and cracking jokes, trying to get closer to Chrysanta, but for now a grim expression had settled on his face. He was far from a baby-faced recruit, but this was likely to be the hardest thing he'd yet done, and it would be a lie to say he was feeling confident about the venture.

(I LOVED IT UGH HE WAS SO HARDCORE AND HIM AND INEJ IN THE BATHROOM <3 Yes there was so much good I'm just so crushed about Matthias he deserved better and so did Nina. Were they from the Grisha trilogy? I want to start it but I'm scared it'll mess me up)
Camilla took his arm and fanned herself from the heat, like any lady might in weather that was so scorching. "Hmph." She made a frustrated sound and pouted her lips in an angry way rather then a sad pout. "Hardly, I would certainly not consider us friends." She admitted. It was a shame really, Camilla didn't have many people she absolutely couldn't stand or that couldn't stand her, but he had dug his own grave in this situation, now he would have to lay in it or give a wonderful apology. She wondered if she should give him the details, he had been asleep for their fight, but Coran was a kind soul and she felt that if he had been awake he would have been just as offended as she was. She knew she would get over it eventually, Ralif didn't seem like he was a horrible person, but she wanted an apology none the less.
Heath could rely on Chrysanta, she was loyal and knew duty to the crown, unlike so many young people these days. She had proved herself quickly, which was why he had chosen her to join the crew and the search for Whetu's thugs. The captain of the blackguard had gathered quite a group, most of which were right up there with her on the most wanted sheet. He wanted them in custody today to end this little charade, then interrogated. They were after a big prize, one that would bring even more glory to the crown, and he was determined to take it from them. "Debrief me Chrysanta. Who's on that ship as far as we know?" He challenged her. He could go over Whetu's file front and back, but he wanted to see how much they girl had studied up on each of them for the mission.

THEY TRIED REALLY HARD AND THAT SCENE WAS REALLY SAD I wanted them to be happy, their kissing scenes were adorable, I was grinning like an idiot when I read them The grisha tri is really good!! I prefer soc but it's still A-OK!! The main is Santka Alina, who was mentioned a few times I think)
At the masked man's question, Whetu turned on her heels, forcing herself not to think about the great golden war machine and it's passengers, "Hm? Well, I think all of us moving out before we have any real information would be a bad idea, but I don't want to waste anymore time here. Why don't you take someone else to scout ahead?" She grabbed one of the maps, the one with the coastal route marked, "If you stick to this, you'll be heading in the opposite direction of that ship, and I have no doubt you'll stay out of sight easily." She smiled again, ignoring the tenseness that caught in her cheeks, "Take whoever you want, but do not go alone."
"Oh?" His big eyes blinked, "Well, his loss." He gave her arm a gentle pat. Seeing as they'd only been sailing for a day, he had no idea how they'd managed to argue already, but it was definitely possible, from what he'd seen from this crew. It had probably happened last night, and, once again, he cursed his ability to sleep through everything. The first bit of gossip on the journey and he'd missed it because he'd been snoring. Typical. As they got closer to the ramshackle houses, he squinted in the light and heat, already glad he'd left Conall behind. "This town looks like it's made of fish bones." He whispered to her, taking in the thinly made shops and the one, filthy looking, tavern. "Why would anyone live here?"
"Kain Aster caught our attention first," She said with the the zest of a young doctor on their first call, all key phrases and buzz words, "Wanted for murder, assault, theft, breaking and entering and interactions in illegal gambling dens in various countries. Sonal Kapoor: wanted for destruction of property, assault, breaking herself and another prison out of Salzben holdings and obstruction of justice. One man we've only gotten a first name for, Xavier: wanted for theft, promoting civil unrest, assault and armed robberies. And," She felt herself tense a little, knowing that the ship's captain often went hand in hand with her own captain's unquenchable rage, "Whetu Cynwrig: wanted for murder, assault, multiple arson attacks, obstruction of justice, vandalism and armed robberies. There seem to be others, but we've been unable to get names or backgrounds on them, though there are rumors of Ralif Silvrig, who is wanted for multiple accusations, but there's no real proof behind any claims." She cast a quick glance to Soren in the corner, as it was he who gave her this information, "There also may be a dog, sir."

"Yeah it's not super ideal as far as vacation goes. The town looked like fish bones, the locals like fish with their gaping mouths and dead eyes." She whispered lowly back. "It's suiting" she gave a shrug. Camilla was pretty sure the people here did not care about the state of their town or the appearance, it was an ugly place for strange and startling people. "See the guard yet?" She asked and craned her neck a little as if she were looking for a store not group of people.
Heath's jaw set a little extra as she reached Whetu. They were all scum of the earth who he despised, no wonder the worst was their leader. She was a foul person that needed to be taught a lesson and he was happy to teach it. "Splendid, you did your homework." He said in approval, but not giving the young girl too much credit. He addressed the whole group now. "I hope you all did. I want you sharp, because they will be and I don't want some common criminals above my guard. Keep alert, remember we want them alive, that doesn't mean they have to be in perfect shape."

honestly the best part of the book was when inej punks Kaz and just leaves him on the roof like 'lol u got urself here u get urself down' all the relationships are so well written, and there are like, zero cliches, i am so happy these books exist. Everything from Jes and his dad to Per Hasskle and Kaz like omg)
"I see lots of rocks and something that's probably a mirage." He whispered back, relaxing into his role a little now that they were actually out here, doing it, "Oh wait! There's a guy wearing gold." He jumped and cursed himself for being so conspicuous, hoping the gourd hadn't noticed in the heat. "Is his just a rich guy, or does he just like that colour, though?" His mouth twisted in thought, suddenly wishing the royal guards uniform came with a large sign that said LAW ENFORCER over their heads. But that was probably out of their budget.
Trying not to beam too proudly, Chrysanta let a little smile cross her lips and raised her chin. Sure it wasn't the most generous of praises, but anything from Captain Iratus was good enough. He didn't hand out praise lightly, after all. Then she let her face fall back into the mechanical resistance she'd learnt and set her features into a hard state. If it came to a brawl, which it must certainly would, she would be ready. The paladin had the weight of her sword on her hip and her holster weighing it out on the other side, and she was confident in both. The others were good too, and she knew Soren would be eager eyed and ready for this. He wasn't the harshest of the guards, but maybe that wasn't a bad thing. On missions like this, it was easy to forget your humanity, and the young man would help her keep the others in check (not that she need help, she reminded herself).
nah m8 ur grand c: Do you think we should think of something that happened between Whetu and Heath? Cause like, they really hate each other but we don't actually know why lol. And some personal salt will make this fun >:3c )

(Sorry about the infrequency with which I'm posting, just a touch busy lately. ^^')
"Oh, but getting eaten by a harpy would be a once in a lifetime experience, captain. I suppose I'll pass it up if I must." The fabric of his mask shifted ever so slightly, indicating a hidden smirk from Ralif. He wasn't being disrespectful to Whetu, quite frankly he didn't know the woman well enough to hazard teasing the captain, but it was nigh impossible for him to not be sarcastic. "Anybody want to come with? I'm sure it will be quite the little adventure, less chance of being arrested, maybe a touch more danger from wildlife to make up for it." His eye surveyed the rest of the crew, wondering who would take him up on the offer. As he waited, he realized that his mind was venturing into dangerous territory, his honed sense of logic threatened to be overtaken by the more primal thrill-seeking portion, one he had to actively suppress lest he go chasing danger by trying to shoot up a harpy nest. Fun, until he felt the talons. "Don't all raise your hands at once."
Soren gave a slight nod and smile to Chrysanta when she happened to glance his way. Professional courtesy was all it was, but he couldn't help but to feel a little rush shoot through him, spreading from his chest to his limbs. Sometimes he wished he wasn't who and what he was, as a royal guard he had to be the utmost example of properness and sometimes a touch too stringent for his soft heart, not to mention the fact that he couldn't exactly be sure who he was, but it gave him the chance to do good. In theory. Being near the paladin didn't exactly hurt either. His thoughts returning to the mission at hand in an effort to stop his blithering mind, he was reminded of who they were up against. Dangerous people with loose morals, each and every one. They knew plenty, except for maybe Ralif as that man was an enigma all his own, but that was shockingly little comfort. Didn't mean he wasn't ready to do his job, he wanted criminals like them-especially Kain and Whetu-off the streets. Introspection was cut short as movement caught his attention and he found himself staring at a pair that had too many teeth to be locals of Kydos. Not to mention there was a certain nervousness to the boy, the one who'd caught his gaze in the first place. A tilt of the head, which would of caused auburn hair to fall in his eyes were it not for the headband, was likely more than enough to alert them that he was watching. Perhaps not suspiciously, but that didn't mean too much.

it's cool ~~ )
Eager to be off the boat and get productive, Sonal raised her hand, "I'll come." She knew it was a risk, the guards were no fans of her, and visa versa, but hopefully they'd be stealthy enough to slip past them and start walking. She was in no hurry to return to this joyless place but it was looking better then being on sea at the moment with Kain, Xavier and an on-edge Whetu for company. Even the dog looked a bit ill. "You're reading the map." She said, a statement and not a question. Out of all the people in the crew, she wanted to be illiterate in front of Ralif the least. She'd seen his sharp tongue with Camilla and didn't want to test her patience in a battle of wits with him. She usually answered taunts with her fists and knew that the captain would not approve.
"He's staring." Coran whispered out of the corner of his mouth, begging his shoulders to relax. It suddenly felt much warmer and he shrugged off his jacket, letting his off white shirt air him out a bit. There was an unpleasant sweatiness on the bridge of his nose where his glasses were balanced, something Coran had never had back home in Egring. Now that they ere a little closer, Coran could see the man's sword and felt a cold stone lodge in his stomach. They were really doing this, they were really going to try and trick this Royal Guard. Was this guy a friendly guard? Did such a thing exist? His brief encounters with them suggested otherwise, and that was whilst he was still an innocent civilian.

Camilla avoided the urge to glance over at the guard as Coran whispered to her. She pretended to be wrapped up in her own thoughts and conversation without realizing he was looking away, like one might like to stereotype from a young higher class lady. She technically did enjoy gossip, but she was trying to look as if she didn't notice the guard so she continued talking and even waved a hand for emphasis. "Well does he look angry or suspicious? Or just curious. Honestly we stand out, we're a couple of pretty young people which isn't common for this place. Take a deep breath as if your tired of me taking, but it will help you slow your heart rate." She told him casually. She knew this meant they should approach them now, but despite her calm demeanor she was nervous, she heard horror stories about Heath and the rest of the Royal Guard was uptight. "Just pretend you're excited, nudge me and whisper or something."

He took a breath as she told him, but still still his nerves on knife point edge, "I can't read his expression, he's just looking. I don't want to stare back." Coran pushed his glasses up his face to wipe his nose and they sat on the front of his hair obediently. The world blurred, but he felt more comforted now that he didn't have to look at the guard, "Should we go over to him? Like we're lost or something?" He'd actually gone up to a guard before when he was lost, and had had no trouble whatsoever, and tried very hard to remind himself of that now. Taking Camilla's advice, he gave her a gentle nudge in the stomach with his elbow, hoping it looked casual

(Sorry about not being super active myself, been rather sick and suffering a lack of creativity as a result of cold medicine.)
"Wonderful on all accounts, let us be off then." Ralif was inclined to waste not a single moment, Kydos was hardly a hospitable place and the presence of the royal guard didn't make it any more pleasant, as least not for the likes of their crew, what with the bounty on the majority of their heads. While nothing could be firmly placed on him-he'd taken great pains to make that the case-Ralif wasn't about to test just how closely the royal guard followed the letter of their laws. Sonal was more or less the perfect traveling partner as well; pragmatic, quiet, strong, but not quite so... sinister was perhaps the word, as Kain. Xavier or Whetu would've been fine companions as well, though they hadn't been the first to volunteer.
Soren watched the two with a touch of curiosity in his eyes. It wasn't predatory as a cat eyes a mouse, but as a parent watching their child act up. Amused, not angered, certainly not malignant. A smirk played with the corners of his lips, but as yet he wasn't tainted suspicion. These two honestly looked like they were visitors to the island, perhaps thankful for or inquisitive to the royal guard's presence. Much as he'd love to help them, he had to stay in his position to not anger his superiors. Now, if they approached him for aid, it would be an entirely different story.

Ralif had a flowery way of talking that Sonal did not exactly appreciate, but she followed him off the ship nonetheless. The ground was warm on her feet, the soles of her simple slip-ons not offering much protection. She was used to heat, the stifling humid heat of her hometown, but this was dry heat and she was not a fan. "How are you not warm in all those clothes?" She asked as they edged along, town was in their sights, but they seemed to be obscured by a large clump of boulders, "Does the mask not make your heat face?" She was hardly a heavy dresser herself and she was feeling the prick of the sun already. Sonal had no idea where Ralif was from, there was some kind of Whayvanian way about him, but she couldn't be sure. Was he used to this kind of weather? Honestly, at this stage, he could be revealed as a large toadstool in a trenchcoat and she would not bat an eyelid.

(Thank you! I hope I feel better soon too, medicine is helping quite a bit thankfully.) (Ah, cool! Have fun! See you then!)
As they stepped onto the shore, most importantly out of earshot of the other crewmembers, Ralif cleared his throat-placing a black-gloved hand on his Adam's apple ever so briefly. When he spoke again his voice had dropped in pitch, noticeably so, and he was speaking in much simpler terms. He acted ever the noble and did want to be one, no he deserved to enjoy their status in society and wealth, but there was only so long he could maintain the act. He was not raised in such a gentrified manner, and it was a taxing air to keep up. Out of everyone on the ship, Sonal was the least likely to care he figured. "Expensive garb like this breathes well. I'll be sweating like a dog soon enough, but no more than you." This was so much more natural to him, though no one who acted like this could afford the clothes he did. Not that he actually could, but sometimes it was nice to pretend that he'd legitimately earned what he wore. "Well, maybe a little more."

The cold weather does things to good people last year we lost eight good kids to the premature frost bite)
The change in his voice took her by surprise, and her eyebrow shot up. Between the small dark glint of her eyes and the hook of her nose, she was briefly bird like in her face (though the comparison ended at her thick neck). She supposed she should be glad he was speaking on simpler terms, but she was now more on edge then she'd been when she'd left. If Ralif could hide his voice, what else did he have up his sleeve? The surprise shifted into a dangerous suspicion, but she said nothing of it. There were bigger things at play here. From this distance, she couldn't see any guards, only the dark buildings. "I will admit I have never been on a crew with someone in a cape. It is quite usable." She had blundered her last word 'unusable' was what she'd intended, but she seemed unaware of it, glancing at the steep rocky path just ahead of them.

Camilla stopped talking and gave Coran what could be considered an irritated look for interrupting her. She then followed his gaze to the guard and opened her mouth a little in surprise. "Coran you're from Egring right? When I lived there some people supported the war and the crown, seeing a guard would had been such a thrill. That's what we are going with, being lost will raise too many questions were just bored." She told him and glanced at the guard again. She wanted him to know she was watching and surprised. "Plus he's got a nice face, better than the captain and his attack dog I hear she's so uptight and he's just scary." She said in a hushed tone. "Let's go." She nudged him in an eager way and stood, she straightened out her dress for wrinkles as if trying to look presentable, although she never had problems with confidence in that area the guard didn't need to know that.
(Sorry for being gone all weekend! I'm back I just watched the walking dead and I'm so upset ugh. I also vote yes for us coming up with something that makes Heath and Whetu hate each other)

During his own time in Egring, Coran's family had never bothered much with crowns or royal guards. Or politics at all, come to think about it. Actually the older he got the more he realised his mother probably would've led some kind of anti-government militia in another life (in this one, she darned socks and scoffed loudly during town meetings, shouting out unhelpful things like 'Sure, raise taxes! Who cares? I don't care!' before being asked to leave). But Camilla was right, the guards were impressive in their gold and white, and trying to appear eager eyed and naive shouldn't be too tricky. Following her lead, he smoothed out his dulled shirt and forced the corners of his mouth up in what he hoped was a convincingly nervous smile, "Ok, yeah. And if he doesn't buy it, I'll throw you between my body and his sword." He tried for a joke, hoping to ease his own mood
it's ok! I've been rlly inactive on the forums too :vvv exams and work experience are pains. I don't watch twd but I know there was some kind of big reveal?? Heath and Whetu are both very proud, and we know that Whetu was whipped, so that's her mad, maybe she went after Heath's battalion and tricked them or something? They've probs been fighting each other on and off for years now so lots of little victories and losses would've built up around one massive event, the first time they met? Whetu idk blew up their building? )
