Savage looked at her, surprised. "Well, that might be a problem, wouldn't it?" He slowly suggested, grinning as he worked on his coy-ish line.

Grateful to escape the spotlight, Balsam walked along beside her, studying her very closely. "Not long. Perhaps a few days. Longer if needed." He replied. "Why didn't you tell me you lived with them? It would have made this easier..."

"I told you a little about the tribe back when we met" She brought him inside the nursery, grateful to see that Silver and her kits were out at the moment. "I wanted to tell you more, I lost track of time, and by the time my brother found me, I had to go back to my duties" Of course, that only lasted until she became a matriarch. "I know it seems like an odd way of living, but is there any way I can convince you to stay- at least a little longer?"

"I'm afraid we may be at an impasse, my dear." Balsam said softly, his tail flicking up to touch her shoulder gently. "I was search for you to convince you to come back to me. I know how to live alone, just the two of us." His eyes were full of longing, as he would rather live alone in the desert that almost killed him than surrounded by people who didn't know him and hated him for that.

Feather shook her head gently. She wanted very much to live with him, but this was her home, this was the life she loved. "This is my home Balsam, I love it here. We all take care of each other, even if they seem prickly now, they're just worried" She gave him a pleading look, feeling her heart skip a beat at the term of endearment. "Give them a chance, and I swear they'll believe in you too"

Balsam frowned, his eyes sad as he pressed the side of his muzzle against hers. "But this isn't my home." The rouge hasn't grown up in the comfort of a tribe; he grew up alone, barely scraping by, but he wouldn't be who he was without it. In all honesty, he would miss the harsh way of life.

Screech continued to stand at his place at the entrance, his ears twitching with every sound he heard. He could hear what was going down a few feet away, however, he was choosing not to get mixed up with it. One way or another, he as bound to say something and tick every cat off. He flattened his ears at the thought.

Savage looked at her, surprised. "Well, that might be a problem, wouldn't it?" He slowly suggested, grinning as he worked on his coy-ish line. "Not nessicarily. Maybe I want to be distracted, hm?" Rose shot back, inwardly a bit unsure, but knowing by the warmth of her fur that she liked him replying back with such a tone. It made her feel like what she felt wasn't something only she felt. She gazed at his eyes, starting to really notice the pretty color of them.

Savage blinked his brown eyes, normally so dull now so bright. "I guess I'm doing just that, mmm?" He purred, taking a step so his muzzle was next to her ear. "'Cause you didn't even notice that rabbit over there." He whispered, pulling back with a grin and flicking his ear in the direction of the desert hare. It was nibbling on some weeds not too far away, in a rather open area of land.

Rose's pelt flashed with heat as he mewed close to her, her breath catching and heart racing, only for her to gasp and scowl at the sight of the rabbit. She shook her head, trying not to sound so flustered. "W-well, good sight there. If you'll excuse me, I'll go prove my great talents once more." She stammered.

Savage held her back with a large black-toed paw, humor fading from his face as he did so. He pointed again with his ears, only now to the sky, as a hawk circled above the unaware rabbit. "Now it's time for me to do my job." He meowed in a hushed but determined tone. He nosed Rose gently, lowering his large build to the earth, urging her to do the same.

Rose scoffed, but quickly lowered herself down at his instruction, interested to see how Savage really hunted. Surely he had skills she couldn't fathom, and she wanted to see them all.

Savage inched forwards, slightly, so he was about three full-length strides away from the rabbit. He sat there, poised for a quick takeoff, and waited patiently, eyes focused not on the rabbit but the hawk.
The hare was unaware as to all the danger that lurked nearby, and kept nibbling on the grass. And then the hawk started to dive.
Savage's muscles tensed under his pelt, building energy for the pounce. His brown eyes keen on the hawk's larger form, he waited until it neared the earth for him to move.
The creamy-brown tom burst forwards, taking two building strides before leaping into the air, claws outstretched. The rabbit screamed a shrill eeeeeee as the hawk grabbed it, only for predator to become prey as Savage then sunk his claws into the hawk. The raptor screeched, flapping wildly and releasing the rabbit to slice at Savage with its claws, but the large tom was too heavy for it, and Savage slammed the bird into the earth, rending it's wings useless. Quickly, Savage gripped the hawk's throat with his teeth, still holding the body firm as it weakly flailed for the last time.
Savage released the dead hawk, and stepped back, dipping his head and thanking the Tribe of Eternal Plenty for its life. Then, the creamy tom looked over to Rose, pride shining in his brown eyes though his chest heaved with effort. "What- didja think- of that?" He asked between breaths.

Rose watched with wide eyes, her jaws open as she gasped. "Wow! That was amazing! You leaped like that hawk itself! And here I thought I was a good hunter!" She praised, before jerking in realization and bolting quickly after the injured rabbit to snag another piece of prey for the pile.
She returned quickly with the rabbit and cheered. "A hawk! What a treat that'll be!"

Character Name; Update
(( Can someone catch me up on what has happened, please? )) (The rogue got brought into camp and after a ton of arguing Heart decided he could stay but had to be guarded. Then she stormed off into her den where she'll be if "anyone has any concerns" and the rogue is talking with his mate, Feather.)

She praised, before jerking in realization and bolting quickly after the injured rabbit to snag another piece of prey for the pile. She returned quickly with the rabbit and cheered. "A hawk! What a treat that'll be!" Savage let out a rumbling purr, eyes bright. "They're the only thing I know how to catch." He laughed, though he spoke the truth. The bird sat, lifeless at his black toes, stained red with it's blood. He licked at his mouth, a hawk feather lodged in his teeth, before finally spitting it out, and laughing again.

"Well, they're one of the things I don't catch." Rose mewed in response, pawing at her rabbit and looking back at Savage. "I can see why cats stay away from us. With guards like you guys, nobody wants a piece of us." She purred proudly.

Savage flushed, heat warming the skin under his fur. "Thank you." He purred, before picking up the hawk and dragging it over beside her. He swished his tail happily, brown eyes glinting in the setting sunlight.

Savage dropped the hawk. He thought for a moment, easier now that he was no longer panting, and looked at her. "We should probly put it on the fresh-kill pile." He suggested, shrugging slightly. "Thennn I could help ya clean off all the dust, if ya like." He offered, not so sheepishly as before.

Feather briefly hid her face in his shoulder, desperately trying to think of a solution. She loved her home, and he loved his way of life. Despite the differences, she didn't want to split up again right after finding each other. Suddenly, she came up with an idea. What if..."We can try it both ways" She lifted her head again, looking hopefully at Balsam. "We can spend time here, and spend time out alone, then we can decide which would work out better"

"Why mr.Savage, are you offering me something more than usual?" She teased, lifting her rabbit and sauntering past him, grazing his muzzle with her fluffy tail.

"Wouldn't dream of not, Miss Rose." Savage replied almost huskily. He was so distracted by her flirtatious gesture that he nearly forgot to grab the hawk before striding after her, holding his head high to drag the fine bird as little as possible.

Rose was nearly screaming on the inside. She had never felt this way before. This was no simple flirting anymore. She was actually finding herself wanting to be strung by with this tom. He was just...so magnetic!

Savage followed after her, his heart pumping faster than it had as he hunted his hawk. He'd never felt so drawn towards anyone. Hells, he didn't even really like talking to anyone besides Heart before Rose. She was so different now... alluring and teasing and comfortable. She made him want to break his shell, be more confident of the world and towards those around him. It was an amazing feeling really.

Rose padded towards camp, holding her prey and glancing back at the tom behind her. She had an idea, now urging to put the prey on the pile to tell him her plan.

Savage trailed slightly behind her, his pawsteps overlapping her own. Her marks in the red earth were small and dainty, while his large and calloused. He grinned at the stark differences around the hawk he carried with pride.

Rose placed down her prey and turned to Savage. "We'll go out of camp again...but this time, let's go have some fun! We can go climb the tallest rock." Rose offered with whispering excitement.

Savage set down his hawk as well, but frowned at Rose. "That doesn't sound none too safe." The large tom reasoned, his better judgement for guarding his Tribemates kicking in. While he was definitely not opposed to going back out with Rose, the sun was also starting to set, and it was dangerous out at night.
