"Safe was never a word I learned to understand." Rose winked bravely, before she purred. "C'mon. The camp's probably all prickly about that rouge, and a cat like you deserves some fun."

Feather briefly hid her face in his shoulder, desperately trying to think of a solution. She loved her home, and he loved his way of life. Despite the differences, she didn't want to split up again right after finding each other. Suddenly, she came up with an idea. What if..."We can try it both ways" She lifted her head again, looking hopefully at Balsam. "We can spend time here, and spend time out alone, then we can decide which would work out better" Balsam didn't like the idea of staying here any longer than a few nights, but he would do anything to find a solution they both enjoyed, or at least tolerated. "Okay, my love, that sounds like a plan." He replied, anxious to be staying longer in the Tribe. The hope of leaving it behind with his beloved, and living out in the open where he belonged, though, kept him going. And the thought of house MUCH he was going to antagonize Ant.

Screech gave a yawn and saw that nothing interesting was going on in camp, so he got up and stretched for a long moment. He then went into camp and decided to walk around, getting the energy he once had, before he went to the camp's entrance. He looked around, before he slipped through the entrance, going out into the territory to talk a small walk.

Savage hmmmphed, dipping his head to Screech as the other tom passed. He sighed lightly at Rose, "Lead the way," he tilted his head towards the rest of the territory, swishing his tail gently.

(Of course you can! Rainwatcher hasn't been able to get ahold of a computer the past week, so your cats won't be put on the front page, but I can make sure she adds them when she can ^~^ )

Savage hmmmphed, dipping his head to Screech as the other tom passed. He sighed lightly at Rose, "Lead the way," he tilted his head towards the rest of the territory, swishing his tail gently. Rose bounced in delight, before turning to lead the large tom back out of camp. She purred. "Let's go climb the tallest rock we can find!"

Savage followed her, smiling but shaking his head. "I'll remind ya that I'm not exactly light." He joked, looking up to the dimming sky as they trailed along.

"I've seen larger cats climb." Rose responded with a scoff and a purr, flicking Savage's shoulder with her tail as she started out in a slow run across the desert sands.

Savage scoffed as he increased speed to catch up to her. "Yeah, dead trees." He retorted, gesturing to a few in the distance with his tail.

"Aaaand big rocks!" Rose corrected with an elongated noise, playfully kicking up a bit of sand towards Savage.

Savage chuffed, shaking his head of the dust that irritated his nose. Paws still moving, he sneezed, whiskers twitching wildly. He glared playfully at Rose.

Rose hid her smirk with a coy giggle before she cheered. "Ooh! There's a good one!"
She scampered up to a large and red rock, circling it to find the best spot to start climbing.

[*bursts in breathless* IM BACK MY FRIENDS]
Sun, having split off from Heart and her companion, was still wandering the desert by himself. Heart would be in a fit when he got back. But Sun could take care of himself. If he wasn't strong enough he could run, faster than most other cats. He took a very very long way to the life pool the sun was lighting the horizon. He smiled to himself at the thought. He reached the pool of crystal clear water and sat beside it. He thought about staying the night here, beside the water. He looked at his reflection in the still water and searched his own eyes deeply. It was peaceful here. He bowed his head to the surface and lapped up the cool water. After drinking his fill he settled down under some brush and dozed in the evening light.
A sound. His ears snapped up and he lifted his head to attention, sharp eyes scanning the surrounding area, large ears swiveling to detect more. Nothing. He lifted his eyes to the sky, the first stars were beginning to wink into existence. "Perhaps....I should return." He muttered softly to himself. So he stood, stretched long limbs and began the walk home.

(Yaasssss!!)
Savage chuffed again, watching Rose with great amusement. Every so often he glanced at the ever-dimming sky, worry lacing his pelt thicker the darker it got.
Heart paced in her den. Back and forth, left and right. Thwish thwish thwish her rough pawpads brushed against the earth as she trotted around. Her head hung low, shoulders hunched, tail twitching irritably. Sun had yet to return, but all the other cats who had gone to the Lifepool had. In her gut, she didn't feel as if something bad had happened, yet her heart clenched with worry. What in Redlands is making me so fidgety? He can handle himself almost as well as I can. Her thoughts growled in her head, though it didn't ease the slight ache she felt. Audibly hissing, she continued pacing, ears alert for any sounds of his return.

Rose's dainty paws easily slipped into the small grooved that allowed her to scale up the large rock. Her ginger coat blended well with the stone, and she gave a heavy purr at the view of the darkening sky. "Want to join me up here?"

From there, Screech made his way through the territory, looking at everything that he either hadn't seen or that had changed. Since he hadn't gone out in a long time, he was surprised that the territory has changed and he actually didn't mind. Change was good in his opinion.

Her ginger coat blended well with the stone, and she gave a heavy purr at the view of the darkening sky. "Want to join me up here?" "Do I have a choice?" Savage chuckled, padding around to follow the path she had taken up. His paws were much too large to fit in the small grooves, so he had to improvise by using sheer strength to dig into the indentations, muscled bunched as his creamy-brown form scaled the stone. He eventually reached the top, sitting beside her, chest heaving with breath but his face not showing the effort's toll. Instead, he grinned at her, flicking her flank with his tail.

"Great climb! It's real nice to look out across this place. As dusty and ugly as this desert is...it's the best home I got." Rose purred lightly, green eyes raking across the red sands before they looked upwards at the darkening sky. "I love sunset. But Night time is my favorite."

Savage purred, looking out at the surroundings before looking at Rose. "Really? But night is the most dangerous." He observed, brown eyes following hers in gazing at the sky.

"It is often the most dangerous things that are the most beautiful in the end." Rose admitted with a faint flicker in her eyes, glancing at him once before looking back up at the sky. "There are no stars and cool breezes in the daytime."

"Mmmmm." Savage hummed in agreement, daring to slide his paw over slightly, where it was touching hers. "The prettiest things come out at night." He recognized, glancing over at Rose as he said this.

Rose was surprised to feel his paw near hers, and flushed warmly at his words. She felt stuck, unable to make her voice come out as quickly as she wanted. Finally, she swallowed her fears and mewed lightly, both sultry and a bit nervous. "Why, my good tom, are you trying to tell me something?"

(I'll add your cat when I get to a desktop!)
Sun walked quickly, not quite a run but not quite meandering. A flash of white caught his eye and he halted, snapping to face it. Nothing. He parted his jaw to taste the air. Nothing. "Who's there?!" He demanded. No reply. Perhaps it was just a rabbit.... So warily, he continued on his trek home.
Upon returning to the Camp Sun immediately made his way to the too small fresh kill pile. Did no cat hunt today? He thought, seeing only two rabbits and a hawk. Which was bountiful but....Both prey items were too big for him to eat alone. Maybe Heart would share with him.

(I'll add your cat when I get to a desktop!) (Okay. I'll do a starter for him similar to the introduction on the front page.) Miles walked across the endless desert. His paws hurt from the heat. They must be somewhere! Maybe they are this way...
He walked a few more pawsteps and sighed. Everything looks the same...I'll never find them now. They've probably left without me.
He thought he saw his housefolk driving away. No! They really are leaving without me!
He ran toward them. No, don't leave me here! Come back! Please...I'm right here!
His housefolk were too far away now. Miles blinked a few times. There was no monster at all. He was all alone. His vision was slowly beginning to blur into nothingness. No, I need to stay awake, stay alive. I have to find them...
He lost his footing, tripping and falling to the sand. I need to...I have to...
His vision went black, but he didn't realize it. His mind was going back to the time before he got here, lost and wandering endlessly. *** (Flashback time!) "Miles, where are you?" It was his housefolk calling for him. He ran into the room, and saw that they were packing again. They were going on another adventure! It was always exciting to go on adventures with them. He had seen so many exciting things, that most of his friends had probably never seen. Like mountains, or the big, beautiful ocean. He wondered where they were going this time as he hurried into his special box for the trip. "He just loves to travel, doesn't he?" He had overheard his housefolk talking about him. His box was being carried towards their new adventure as he closed his eyes to take a nap, swallowing a small bite-sized treat, feeling quite sleepy.

Heart, restless, finally trotted out of the den, scanning the camp with blazing orange eyes. The sun was setting, casting it's purpley-pink hues over everything. But she could more than easily recognize the cat by the fresh-kill pile as Sun, looking just like himself. She bounded over to him, flicking his flank with her tail like a whip once she reached him. "Where have you been?!" She demanded in a hushed but exasperated tone. Her fiery eyes danced with concern.
Savage glanced back out at the sky. "Mmmmaybe." He purred, swishing his tail playfully.
