If Kelsier had been able to see, maybe he would have reassured Orpheus that whether or not he was fully human didn’t really matter. Mistborn were still technically human after all, and he wouldn’t like being referred to any differently, so why do it to someone else? You didn’t spchoose your family, after all. Just as Kelsier hadn’t chosen to Snap when he had; neither of their abilities had anything to do with them. In the end, he figured it just mattered how you played the cards you were given. Even if those cards were unfair, or weak or strong, or anything else, as long as you did your best with them wasn’t that what mattered? He did wonder who Orpheus’ parent was, though. He hadn’t recognized Nico’s father, and he wondered whether the other man’s mother was from the same world, or an alternate one, or a different one entirely. He probably wouldn’t be able to tell, and he could tell by Orpheus’ tone that he shouldn’t pry into what sounded like a sensitive topic. So he turned back to the riddle, which was hard enough to distract most of him. “He can’t leave the fox alone with the chicken on the other side, though...” Kelsier mused, glancing at a mirror behind him and meeting his own distorted hazel eyes for a moment before he looked quickly away and shuddered. Bad idea. “So...what if he takes the chicken ack with him? Then he could take the grain over, and finally come back for the chicken again.” Orpheus listened for Kelsier's thought process, nodding along as he heard it spoken through. His own mind was running through the answer as quickly as Kelsier's, and he had arrived at the solution perhaps a second behind the other blinker, but Kelsier voiced it first. "Exactly!" He replied, delighted as another door opened in front of them. He passed through it, humming to himself, but his voice broke the moment he passed through. It had been on a note that would've been high for others, but not for him... and that dreaded realization broke through again. The House, for whatever reason, was taking his voice. Still, he didn't want to worry Kelsier, so he started making a plan. He couldn't stop the dread from settling in his stomach, or the way his heart seemed to ache with the inability to do perhaps the only thing he could really do well, but Kelsier didn't need to see the pain on his face or the hear any cracks in his voice when he spoke. "This room is strange," he observed, glancing around, having to shout to keep up the same volume he'd had in the last room. The door was high up on the wall, too high for Orpheus to reach. Scattered around were various planks of wood, none tall enough to scale in order to get up. "Maybe we need to build a ladder, or... something?"

@/razz Hook narrowed his eyes, noticing the restless movement of her hands when she spoke. It was like she was flashing them around with intent, meaning perhaps she’d caught him staring. Quickly, he dismissed the subtle taunts and went on to answer her suggestion. “The hells’ that even mean?” He asked sharply, “Like a door out? With my luck,” he scoffed, “I go into rooms because they’re more entertaining than sitting around in the living room waiting for a blinker I pissed off once to come and shout at me.” He scratched at the side of his nose absently, looking away from her. “Course, most the rooms try and kill me, or they’re like this and nothing f[oops]ing happens.” He huffed, thinking about all the times he’d been in rooms with no appeal to him, rooms where other blinkers seemed to find fun in. He was certain there were rooms out there that he could enjoy, but it had been a long time since he’d had any optimism of that happening. He lifted his eyebrows slightly as he noticed Ougi looking out into the trees, scowling when she stood. For a moment he thought she was going to try and grab some of the cherries right out of the tree, despite them all being impossibly far from her reach. When she spoke, however, he sat up in surprise. “What?” He demanded, looking down towards the quickly passing earth. Thankfully, the apparent lunatic didn’t jump off immediately after speaking, but instead she was looking towards him expectantly. “I’m not going anywhere. We don’t even know where this thing is taking us, why would we-,” he again considered the pace in which the tractor was moving, surprised she was so willing to throw herself off.
@/snow Vincent was following behind her now, watching her carefully as she advanced. It was hard to keep track of her shifting gaze amongst the several heads, but he could tell by the slight slow of her pace that she was hesitant. He was irritably curious about what sort of ideas she had of this place, but asking directly might spoil his fun. Instead, he watched her smugly as she picked a door. At her choice, he raised an eyebrow, grinning. He appeared amused, perhaps excited by her pick. With him, it was impossible to tell if that was a good thing or not. With the house, however, any knowledge of what was behind the door she’d selected was a total bluff. He again cast a quick glance down the empty hallway, then dipped his head for her to carry on.

Hange stood tall and still, listening intently to the sounds outside to try and figure out what was happening. The two of them were using magic - and from the level of vibration reaching this room, they could be sure that there must be at least two more titans joining the fray.
Myrnin’s small voice, however, drew them out of their thoughts, and they turned to him, realizing in an instant that of course, the poor child must be frightened out of their minds.
“Those are monsters from my world,” they told him, keeping their voice low and calm as they spoke. This situation was very bad. But it wouldn’t do to have the young vampire panicking and running off on his own. “They’re called titans, and they are as dangerous as they are scientifically interesting, but Elliot and Sandalphon are even more dangerous, if I were to hazard a guess. They’ll fight them off, but in the meantime, yes. I think we should get further away from the noise. Are you alright - I mean, can you walk?”

Scattered around were various planks of wood, none tall enough to scale in order to get up. "Maybe we need to build a ladder, or... something?" Kelsier let out a light laugh as it worked, and the door opened. “Nice work.” He congratulated the other blinker, and headed through the door with pout hesitation, ready to face whatever came at him next. He had no idea what was happening to Orpheus. All he has was the faint knowledge that he’d sounded a little further away and maybe a little strained, but both things were completely understandable, given where they were. Really, he hadn’t thought about it all that much at all. So when Orpheus shouted, he missed the added strain, mistaking it for weariness as the room went on. “They don’t usually have this many parts.” He mused, frowning a little at the new task: piles of wood. How were they supposed to work together on this one, if they were in different mirror images? ”At least, I don’t think so. I haven’t been in too many, honestly.” Was it worth asking what the point was? He didn’t think the rooms had a point, and he wasn’t even sure whether their actions had much to do with anything that happened, or whether it just looked that way. Not that it mattered right now, when all he could see were boards and a useless door, and all he could hear was the increasing strain in his new companion’s voice. “I guess so.” He answered, doubt seeping into his tone as he moved forward and knelt by the wood, his fingers brushing the smooth surface. “But how are we supposed to work together? Do you know how to build a ladder?”

《(Timewarped) Anika || Hallway || ~∂єѕтιиу 》 She didn't know whether it was a good sign or a bad sign, but Anika interpreted Vincent's actions as the place pushing her on. I guess it's time, she thought. The dragon placed her claws on the doorknob and turned it. Moments later, her form disappeared through the doorway. (Happy fifth anniversary! I'm planning on using Anika in the plot, so is it okay if I use another character to continue this?)

Auransky Protractor zeph!Arthur stared at Rowlin as he seemed to tip over due to a foot cramp. Both eyebrows shot up. He was dubious about the situation, along with whether or not the man was actually in pain because of that or if it was some ... vampire thing. He glanced at Morrigan, clearly trying to gauge whether she was thinking the same thing. "Okay ..." he said to Rowlin. "If you're sure ..." He turned back to Morrigan, mouth opening. The words, "Did you -?" came out of him mouth before he completely disappeared from view, blinking out. (Downsizing how many characters I have out. Once the plot gets moving I'll be back to multitasking them again. ^^ )

Sky was the last one to go into the sewers- she floated down slowly, to her annoyance, and stopped when she was around eye-level. She listened silently to the last of the man's speech. Once it was over she cast a small, cautious look at Enjolras, before looking to where they were headed. She swallowed, questions already forming in her brain. "Okay." She said finally, before beginning to float unsteadily forwards. She kept stopping, however, to check that the others were behind her, a look of anxiety already on her face.

Cloverleaf zeph! Auransky"I'm not sure," said Kid, his words a mutter meant for Enjolras and Sky alone. "I've never been in a world room before. But I think I can agree with you. This does seem like one." He pointed after the guy with blue hair. It was dark enough in here that it was difficult to see his own pointing finger. "Now ... if I was placing bets ... the world might be this doctor. He seems to be the center of attention and everyone seems to be focusing on him." He didn't like the idea of following the strange person, who was the only friendly (or at least not directly hostile) person they had all met who wasn't a blinker. But it was all they had. He glanced sideway at Enjolras, then glanced away before the revolutionary could see the disgusted look on the the thief-now-mummy's face (or what face you could see). "Come on," he said. He didn't take the lead, but that was just because any blinker could move faster than him. But he moved as fast as he could, and managed something close to a brisk walk. "What's the doctor's name?" he called to their guide. Maybe this was a world room of someone they knew. He then, briefly, realized he and Enjolras were using a term which Sky would be unfamiliar with. He glanced over at her. "A world room," he said in a low voice. "Is a very rare time where the House seems to take several blinkers into a specific world of another blinker. So we would be a part of that blinker's world, in a fashion, and see something important there for their life. I think." He glanced at Enjolras, then hurriedly looked away again. "I've never actually been in one. I've just heard about them." He glanced back the way they had come. "This place has too many people who seem to have ... personality ... but they aren't blinkers. It seems like a world room from what I know about them. Which is what makes me think that it's this doctor that we apparently have to rescue." He hoped they were almost there.

im thinking we can time warp until we finish, or if you’d prefer, we could just drop it since i might use vince for the plot,, not certain yet. but because we were rping at a time before the plot started im sure we can warp timing just a little bit,, i believe the rule usually applies to mid-plot circumstances when it becomes confusing as to if things are happing before or after the plot)
Vincent after her without much hesitation. He was still very aware that she was more powerful than him, but as he was finding weaknesses within her character he was growing back into his usual self. He figured his friendliness was hard to read, but the dragon seemed to think she knew everything about this place, so throwing her off was more amusing than trying too hard on tricking her. As he ducked into the door frame after her, he realized the benefits of his company with a sudden thought. She was not only dangerous to him, but also to the hazards of many rooms. (any room ideas if we want to continue??)

"I've been in several." Enjolras offered quietly, though you could still hear the nick the fangs made on his speech. He didn't meet anyone's eyes, and the usually confident and charasmatic voice was strained, tired. "And we always found who's world it was fairly quickly... And we always knew them. I know there's a woman called the Doctor in the House, but I don't know if there's any connection."
If Enjolras had known of the Doctor's regeneration powers, he would have been quite sure it was them. But as he didn't, he could only wonder at the possiblities. He spared a glance up at the street. The House seemed to be pushing them somewhere, herding them to where it wanted them to go. It seemed that there was nothing else to do but follow the blue haired man. Of whose name he did not know, Enjolras realized. "Who are you? A friend of his? How do you know this world will end?" He thought back to Ben's world, as the rocks had crashed around her as she slipped into the elevator. They'd thought it was the end of her world, then, too.

Behind him, Sam could hear Nico's heart beating all over the place. Suddenly, it had just picked up in a spike, right before Sam had time to answer his call. But it wasn't just a rabid heartbeat, suddenly it and Nico seemed to be moving at lengths and speeds which were far too dangerous for Sam's own feelings on the matter. Enough that Sam felt Nico was going to barrel into him before he could call out to him to stop! "Nico!" he managed, spinning back in the direction they had come, his hands up to try and take some of the momentum out of his trajectory. But suddenly Nico wasn't there anymore, Sam's keen eyesight unable to pick him out because the darkness was so thick that his vampire eyesight hadn't even bothered with trying to allow him to see. But he could hear Nico. The beat of his heart and the life in him. It had been disappearing and reappearing like a flickering candle flame. Now it had disappeared, only for him to reappear behind Sam, in the path he would have taken to continue down. Sam flailed a bit, surprised. "What the heck!" he said, not so much surprised at the disappearing and reappearing as he was at Nico's apparent panic. "What's the matter?" He couldn't hear anything from above them, but he was tense for monsters of some kind. This room seemed weird enough for them. "Are you okay?" he added, concerned, a sort of lopesided smile on his face, though he wasn't sure if Nico could see it. He couldn't even see Nico. Nico’s breath slowed down to its normal rate as he searched Sam up and down for any sort of injury. Of course the darkness was so complete that he couldn’t actually see the other boy, just sense that his aura wasn’t flickering so much as… discoloring. It was odd, but terrifying, like he was seconds away from losing his new friend, but he couldn’t’ stop it. “You… are you okay?” he asked, not bothering to answer Sam’s question, which, incidentally, happened to be exactly the same. “You… I thought you were…” he sucked in a breath. “Gods, Sam, I couldn’t see you, so I tried to see your life force, which I normally don’t do, but…” in his panic, Nico was stumbling over his words, all of them tumbling out of his mouth at once in a way that they never did normally. “It looks like you’re dying.” His voice cracked, despite his attempt to remain stoic. “Are you okay? I… gods…” he reached out for Sam’s hand in the dark, unsure how to calm his pulse even though it seemed like Sam was okay. “I didn’t look at it before, because… because it hurt to see people dying in that way, and we all die so often in the House, and sometimes people have secrets they want to hide but… I’m sorry, I just… are you okay?” It was like he was a broken record, so overwhelmed by the idea of Sam not being alright that no other words would come to mind. “I just… I don’t want you to die,” he admitted, voice smaller than he meant for it to be. Sam carefully gripped Nico's arms. He didn't want either one of them to fall off the steps and who knew how far down. Then he let go once he was sure Nico was steady, instead taking his hand and giving that a reassuring squeeze before letting go of his hand as well. He didn't want Nico to notice the difference in the temperature of his skin. He'd been breathing, but now it stuttered into hesitant hitches, panic rolling around in his gut like an unstoppable storm. Nico knew. There was a tightness to Sam's throat, something constricting his vocal cords, like a vice like hold. One of his hands reached up, checking the flesh along his neck, just so he could see if there was something holding him or not. There wasn't. All his own fingers brushed was the pale skin which he couldn't even see in this darkness. He swallowed, but it only helped the pressure a little. There was silence between him and Nico. Deathly silence. Sam pressed a hand to his mouth, feeling sick, like he wanted to retch. But what would be the point? It wouldn't make him feel better. Shakily, he pulled in another breath, chest tight, and lowered both hands to his side. He wasn't okay. And even Nico could tell. A hand almost reached out to Nico again, a touch on the back of his hand almost completed. To reassure. To tell the demigod that Sam was still hear even with what he was about to say. But Sam let the hand fall back again without getting close to the place where he could hear Nico's accelerated pulse and all the other senses he had so recently gained were now telling him a living boy stood. "I'm not going to die," said Sam. He wasn't sure if the words had come out harsh or if they had come out as hopeless. All he knew was that he didn't want that to be his tone. But around the lump in his throat he couldn't seem to state it as neutrally and calmly as he wanted. He wanted to cry, if only because everything was too overwhelming. "I'm not going to anything." He let out a breath with a harsh exclamation of air. "And I'm ... I'm not okay." He couldn't say the word. Not the one which so blatantly hung between them. "I'm sorry," he breathed. Sorry Nico had to hear it. Sorry he had to find out. Sorry that from this point on nothing was going to be the same. "I'm ... I'm ... a -" He cut himself off. Then he shook his head once, and the word was forced out in a clipped burst, "- Vampire." Then Sam rounded on his heels, ready to descend. To leave Nico some distance between them, like Nico probably wanted now. Below, he thought he could smell the living room ...

<Raintalon> Auransky HᥲꙆƒꙆɩɠᖾt(Ending the AU room. for now) "I can," said Myrnin, standing up. He glanced at Hange with hesitation. Then he flinched, as a loud noise crashed through the room. For a second, all he could hear was screaming. Then, when it ended, Myrnin bolted ... It was no fault of his own. He just had to get away. Away. Anywhere away from this. His small feet smashed into the floor, he nearly hit the wall as he flew through the door of Hange's room ... And then he was in the living room again. Then the small boy blinked out.

(this is going to be shorter than it was because I had to retype an eaten post...)
"Oh, come on!" Ougi snatched the pirate by the collar of his jacket. It was with one hand. Of course it was with one hand--she needed the other hand for holding her basket. Even if she didn't have the strength to lift the other blinker completely, she apparently had enough to drag him along with her as she leapt from the rickety wooden cart. Jumping off the back, they tumbled through the dirt and dust, only kicking up more. Both of Ougi's feet landed on the ground at separate intervals, and she didn't allow Hook to touch the ground until she released him and she performed a somersault to transition into a stuck landing. Her feet ended up together and her arms were in the air, triumphant. "I should do gymnastics!" Based on the feat she had just accomplished, it was a wild understatement. She looked down at Hook as if expecting him to thank her for the dragging through the dirt. Unfortunately, any celebration was cut short when the tractor screeched and ground to a halt. It didn't turn off, though. Instead, it was transforming before their eyes into something else. The parts were shifting, to reveal leg-like structures and a spine. Like a giant animal of some kind. Ougi had definitely irked the room in some way, by jumping off the course of the tractor. There was no need to ask whether this thing was malevolent or not.

Danny's eyes cracked open. Long orange rays of sunlight stretched across the rough woolen blankets on his bed and ran up the hewn oak logs that formed the far wall. A small room, not his, furnished simply with a hand-crafted table next to the bed and a large chest against the wall. On the table were a washpan, a rag, and an unlit candle. None of these things were familiar, how had he gotten here?
The man sat up, his black hair sticking up from where he had laid against the dense pillow. He was dressed simply in a tunic and breeches, his old boots sitting next to the door. Beyond that door he could hear muffled voices and the clink of cutlery against dishes. Is that... is someone holding a party?
Standing, Danny made his way across the room and opened the door, leaning out into an open hall. His doorway shared a wall with several others, all closed, while the far side was guarded by a railing overlooking a moderately sized inn tavern.

Ougi was sitting at a round table at the edge of the tavern, her thin cloak with its hood up to shadow her face. She had one arm locked at the elbow with her hand wrapped around a chalice. A chalice of not alcohol, but milk. The hand was gloved in black leather, and her gaze was even darker, staring past the table and toward the cracked window. It was a challenge to be observant in such a room, but when Danny entered she turned her gaze in his direction and narrowed her eyes. There was a scrutiny, but it was even more so wariness that emanated from her. She took another swig of the milk.

A young girl pried open the weighted tavern door, her small hands gripping the wooden edge as she tugged on it with all her strength. When she finally made it inside, she just stood there for a moment, panting as she recovered from the effort. She was dressed neatly, in a black dress and white gloves, but the slightly sloppy tailoring suggested the outfit hadn’t been for her originally. The only thing that made her stand out at all was the simple black leather eye patch that covered her right eye.
After standing in place for a moment, she took a breath, and began to walk towards the front of the tavern, visible eye roving around to rest briefly on each individual in the room. She had to get food...she just had to wait until someone left their plate alone.

"Waaaaait for meeeeeeeeee," crooned a small voice as a small hand tried to press its way around the door that Misaki had just opened. Then a small head with tumble blown hair pushed its way around the same as the hand had and grabbed onto Misaki's cloak. The small boy was wearing clothing in similar level and style to Misaki, but didn't look much like her. However, every action and familiar closeness seemed to scream 'FAMILY' from him. And he was not going to be left behind when his sister was off doing something else!

Anika and Mallory || Plot A four-headed stepped into the tavern, body managing to fit through the doorway despite its immense size. A small human girl, dressed in a blue gown, followed behind. The child made sure not to wander too far from the beast, though her eyes were full of curiosity as they scanned the room. (Sorry for the short post!)
