"It might get hard to see, depending on how deep they get." Hector replied. "He bounced experimentally on the balls of his feet. "The floor doesn't seem to be very exact. We could try digging, but I don't want to be the person to anger the House by breaking something it's created."
He took another step forwards, throwing out an arm to counteract the change in balance. If the goal was to walk across the room, they'd be there for a very, very long time. Luckily (or unluckily, however you decided to look at it) the House had other plans. A large bubble about three feet across swooped close to them. Hector ducked away, almost losing his balance. It drifted past, almost matching the cadence of the other bubbles as they all floated aimlessly. Almost. Another large bubble drifted suspiciously near.

( ~∂єѕтιиу - Hello! I hope I'm not interrupting you or anything, but are we going to continue what we were about to start in the doc? In case you missed it, here's what I posted: "I looked through the list of old rooms, and body swap sounds fun if you’re up for that. I also don’t think the ‘everything you say and think contributes to what’s happening’ room got anywhere if you’d rather do that." Just wanted to make sure that you saw my reply! ^.^ By the way, I'll try to respond in the monster room tomorrow.) OH MY DUDE IM SORRY, honestly I saw that, thought I replied, and haven’t checked since. Totally my bad ^^’ Either of those sound neat asf,, I can get a starter post up hopefully some time tonight or tomorrow unless you want to go ahead and make one!) (That sounds good!)

Ougi blinked into the living room seemingly mid-dance, or perhaps just walking in an interesting manner as she always seemed to do. She spun once and placed her hand upon her chin, surveying the room with narrowed coal-like eyes. It was just as she left it. Eerily, it was as it had always been, regardless of who had come and gone. It wouldn't remember the blinkers she had seen leave for good; it wouldn't remember Arthur, and it wouldn't have remembered her if she had been taken by the void those months ago. At least, this is what she believed about the Paradox House. Before the knee-length skirt of her school uniform could fully settle, her legs started to move again, dancing her toward the door to the hallway. It wasn't nearly as entertaining alone, but she might as well go exploring, right?

Enjolras tilted his head back, giving Hook a cool look as the man bit back whatever he had been about to say. Not an antagonizing glance, just one more of neutral acknowledgement. Enjolras wasn't going to start anything if Hook wasn't.
"I've been blinking in here a long time. It's hard to believe anything else after a while." Enjolras explained, raising an eyebrow at the grin of the other man. "You must be new here."
Enjolras quietly coughed as Izaya answered Hook. It was definitely a cough. Not a disguised puff of laughter he couldn't hold back. Of course not. He cleared his throat, quickly adopting a sober expression. After the speech room, Enjolras had finally heard a name for Hook other than Hook. And it was one that brought back memories of a fire. Of books, and of a tiny trio. And that whole situation was less than comical.
As Izaya introduced himself and greeted the House, Enjolras nodded once. That was an interesting way to refer to the place. His gaze was drawn to a familiarly tall dragon, and he offered a greeting to the other blinker, "Bonjour, Salsa!" Oh, and it was that Doctor person from the castle room. She was very quick to get into the nitty gritty details of figuring out rooms, and for that Enjolras already had a bit of respect for her, despite the fact that they hadn't talked much.

"CA CAW!" a large dragon blinked into the living room, making a sound that was almost identical to a crow's cry. Hmm. Did a meteor hit me? they silently wondered. This certainly didn't look like Focal Point. Or maybe this has to do with that wisp somehow. Or I could be dreaming. If anything, hopefully it would delay their return to their clan. They doubted that their elders would be pleased when they found out about their midnight journeys, let alone suddenly becoming part bird. It wasn't a story they wanted to share.

(oooh I see now that des is around)
Ougi's head tilted upward when a large figure appeared in front of her. Or rather, behind her since she had been heading for the door. "Oh," she exclaimed, her eye flashing with the faintest light as she smiled. "If it isn't someone new," the student murmured. Her hand retracted from the door, and whether they could be seen or not her fingers curled inward from within her sleeve. Whereas she might normally try to intimidate this newcomer, she instead only crossed her arms and presented herself casually as she was. Besides, it was a little awkward to try and intimidate someone much taller than oneself. If that wasn't the reason... it would have to be that she had gone a little soft--surely that was out of the question. The menace was omitted from her voice just for now. "Who might you be? Judging from your reaction, you don't come to the Paradox House often."

(helo razz!
Hook was standing with his weight back on his heels, a heat crawling up the back of his neck as Enjolras continued to speak behind him. The man was less of a threat than a mere annoyance, but his presence seemed to have the pirate on edge. Why was he here? Why was one of them always here? Temporarily lost in his harsh glare at the wall behind the newbie, his gaze only hardened when moving towards the man’s face as he echoed his name. His upper lip curled back slightly, considering the expression he wanted to take before sinking back into a cold smirk. The strained look relaxed as he let out a more genuine chuckle, though the act fell short quickly at the sound of Enjolras’ reaction. “You can stay unimpressed.” He snapped. “I don’t have to waste my breath explaining myself to the ignorant. Who will stay...ignorant.” He faced Enjolras with that, offering up his hands innocently. There was a pathetically proud look on his face as he did, like he was proving some kind of point by not putting up kind of demonstration for himself. Then, with a huff and a drop of his arms, he looked back to the new guy. “Don’t suck up to it,” he said flatly, “flattery won’t get you far when it gets bored.”

“Caramel for you, black for you. Anything else - “ Touka blinked in mid-coffee spiel, holding a menu in one hand and a pen in the other. She stumbled forward a little, disoriented, then straightened up, brushing a stray strand of blue-purple hair out of her left eye. The professional smile plastered on her face slowly faded to a genuine one at the sight of several familiar faces...good friends, a few new faces, and then there was Hook. But at least he seemed occupied, for the moment. “Enj. Salsa. Yo,” she greeted, bridging the gap between them so she could join in on the conversation. It was good to be back...at least for now.

Sky clutched her wand, her knuckles white, as she studied the horse a little farther away. She racked her brain, trying to think back to her textbook, but to no avail. It definitely wasn't something she'd seen or heard of, before. That fact made her feel more afraid than she normally would be. She watched the flames flicker against the horse's body, and she remembered something. Something she overheard a girl a year younger than her talking about, a couple of years ago. "A fire spirit that burns everything in its path. It's called a heliopath." She wasn't really sure it was that, as it was the only mention she'd ever heard of it. But you could never be too careful. "Y-you should step back." Sky warned Enjolras, as she went through spells in her head, in case it struck.
(I actually found a reference in Harry Potter what) (It doesn't have to be it though, it's just how Sky's trying to make sense of it.)

(@ snow ougi is going to be interacting with the others but please jump in when you are ready! I just don't want to lose my momentum since I haven't been rping lol)
Ougi eyed The Doctor and Salsa with a smug look, then stepped over to them. From the direction she was entering, she was behind The Doctor, and she couldn't help but tap her on the opposite shoulder. Even her touch had something eerie to it, as if with a little more force Ougi's hand would go right through her target. But like all of Ougi's menace, it was mostly just an odd feeling and nothing substantially threatening. Hook was the one she had gotten most used to out of these blinkers. There was even one she hadn't met before, who she was already planning to deceive later. "Ah, what a lovely group of misfits we have here," she said, looking up at Salsa as she spoke in an unassuming murmur. She picked out the dragon seeing that she was the one being waited on for a question's answer.

Hange gripped the steering wheel in an iron grip as the car smashed through the TV...and into the sky. Like a roller coaster, the vehicle careened downwards, plummeting towards the ground at deadly speed. Thinking fast, Hange turned around and army crawled to the back of the car, grabbed Myrnin, and then, using the door handle as a foothold, they leapt in the air, separating both them and Myrnin from the car just as the vehicle hit the ground. It crumpled like a tin can on impact and rolled over twice, but that was all they had time to see before their own landing.
CRACK. They landed hard on their right wrist and bit their tongue, tasting blood as they heard the bone snap under the impact. But they’d landed on grass, at least... They sat up, disoriented, doing their best to ignore the searing pain in their wrist as they looked around for the first time. They seemed to be on an island...no, not just an island, but a floating one. The sky was red all around them and the air carried a definite hint of foreboding that made them draw their cape a little closer to their chest.
Wait...cape? They looked themself over, and found that their clothes had changed. They were wearing a crown crafted from real gold, and instead of their usual military uniform, they were wearing a bright fur cape of white and purple, draped over their clothes, which looked to be about fifty times more expensive than what they could afford. How odd...they didn’t seem to match the room in the slightest.
Moving their attention away from that mystery for a moment, they scanned the area for the others. Sandalphon didn’t look good, but he wasn’t human, and that threw things off, so they turned their attention to searching the area for little Myrnin.

Living Room | The Doctor
(Whoops. My character sheet wasn't updated with Enji. o.o Heh heh heh ... whoops.)
The Doctor blinked and then turned. There was another dragon. And then a bit further down, Ougi. Who was ... The Doctor leaned forward and got into Ougi's personal space ... sniffing her. Then she leaned back again and her expression seemed to be one which was puzzling over what she had just learned. The grin had slipped and now she just seemed curious. But then she shrugged and looked back at Salsa. "I can see how ya can say that," she agreed with Ougi. Then she nodded at Hook, Enjolras, and the newbie who seemed to be calling the House a dream. "Though I think that they are tryin' to make this a bit less lovely." Her words were accusing. They were worried. She kept glancing in that direction, worried a fight would start. She looked back at the other dragon and dipped her head. "Greetings." Then she turned to Touka as well, but only waved a bit.

Living room - Ougi
Ougi craned her neck backward past her shoulders when The Doctor got close to her. She wasn't interested in being buddy-buddy, even if that was what The Doctor was up to. "That was strange of you..." she murmured simply, her eyes faintly narrowed. She rolled back from her heels back onto the soles of her shoes and crossed her arms as the other blinker finally responded to her. What had that sniffing been about? A rare nervous look passed over Ougi's face, but it was-hopefully for her-gone before anyone could get a good evaluation of it. "Oh, don't mind them," she recommended. It was a recommendation that was the opposite really, because she did want some disagreement. It would be more interesting to watch a fight. Then again she didn't want to get on Hook's bad side again. She was still affected by that winter back then, whether she liked it or not. In a way, it was what stopped her from provoking even some of the other blinkers too much lest there be a repeat. Her eyes blinked at Touka then. "...Welcome back." Her slowness was from glancing between her and the others, wondering if there were any negative relationships she had to work with.

“Good to know the common opinion.” Izaya said, his eyes on the older man as he searched the words for unspoken information. “Especially from a self-proclaimed expert of the matter. But don’t worry, I don’t really think this is a dream anymore.” He didn’t share why that was, just turned his attention back to Hook, who was obviously trying not to look as mad as he felt. Pathetic attempt. It was more for Enjolras than him though, those two had some interesting history, he could feel it. Something to keep in mind.... Another person blinked in and Izaya gave her a quick, appraising glance, and turned away. First impression said she was boring, but he’d give her a fair turn when he was done with the others, A delighted laugh leapt from his throat and his grin widened as he heard Hook’s surly comment, and he took another step towards the pirate, shaking his head infinitesimally. “Sucking up to it? You’d know, I suppose. I, on the other hand...!” He spun on his heel, 180 degrees and stopped facing Hook again. “We’ll see who gets bored first. I hope it does, because it last time was anything more than a one time thing, I can’t wait for next time!”

<Raintalon> HᥲꙆƒꙆɩɠᖾt AuranskyThe small boy had rolled away on impact. Thanks to Hange, he had been unhurt. Or at least he assumed that was the reason or a couple of seconds. Right up until he rolled over, gasping for air, but still feeling like his whole body had been compressed. Looking up at the red sky, it felt like someone had hit him ... hard ... in the head. The world felt dizzy. To sharp, too detailed, like all colors were blazing brighter and all lights had been amped up by ten. There was a funny taste in his mouth and he still felt wrong. His ears were ringing, sounds too loud, and he had no idea why Hange and Sandalphon and Elliot suddenly smelled - and looked! - different. For starters, he could smell them in the first place. Sandalphon smelled like horror and fear and Myrnin felt like some sort of reaction should have been coming from him because of that. That his heart should be beating more rapidly, but there was nothing. The noises in his ears hadn't faded. A pounding and the sound of breath and the smallest movements and more. Myrnin sucked in a surprised breath and it just made everything worse. More smells and tastes. Hange was a crackle of chemicals, but now subdued under the must of animal pelts. And blood. There was blood, which smelled almost sweet. The wrongness expanded like a bubble in his chest and it ached, like a string pulling him toward the smell. He could feel the smallest press of something sharp within his mouth. There was another different as well, and he was able to ignore the feeling while he payed attention to it. When he'd sat up ... he was taller. Not greatly so. Not to an adult size. He looked down at his legs and arms and over his chest. He was wearing different clothing. Brightly colored, like that of a noble born. And he was older! Not an adult, but maybe around ten. Myrnin looked around, stressed and confused, and focused on Hange. "W-what's happening?" he asked, worried, unaware that his eyes were red. "Y-you're bleeding ..." He had to bite his lip to not draw closer to his oddly dressed friend. That would be weird, wouldn't it?

At the sound of voices, Philomel was snapped out of their thoughts. Their red eyes laid sights upon a colorful group - a bunch of humanoid figures, of which wore vastly varied outfits, stood before them. There was also one other dragon, a wildclaw that was taller than themself! To be fair, Philomel was still a young dragon, but Salsa was larger than any wildclaw they'd seen. "Hey, can anyone tell me where in the world I am?" the bird-like dragon asked, taking a couple steps forward. Their voice sounded young, like something belonging to a preteen or someone in their early teens.

Ougi - Living Room
Ougi stood straight-faced in the presence of Izaya's flamboyance. It was as though nothing were going through her head at the moment, when in reality she was piecing together a lot of new things. Firstly and foremost, was that this blinker had quite the unique personality. One couldn't possibly say the Paradox House was full of ordinary blinkers, but too many of them were complacent in her book. This one was interesting. Interestingly obnoxious. Besides, he was making fun of Hook. Bonus points. "But that is an oxymoron," the student said upon swiveling her head toward Philomel. "You aren't in 'the world' anymore. In fact, you could argue you aren't even in a world anymore." She didn't like to assure the dragon by mentioning they would return to their own world, as it was far too fun to pretend that that world was gone for good. "This is where most people would say, 'welcome to the Paradox House'."

Philomel | Living Room A smile appeared on Philomel's face as Ougi explained their surroundings. "So I must've been hit by a meteor," they stated, not to anybody in particular. Dreaming wasn't quite out of the question, but with how tonight's visit to Focal Point had been going so far, they wouldn't be shocked that something hit them and threw them into an alternate dimension.

The buttered words seemed to do the trick despite a certain pirates wary warning of what would come. All the activity and attention led her to tap her pointed toes on the musky floor. Looking over at her side to the newbie giving her a pleased smile, whatever counted as a smile when it came to wildclaws. "A white dragon you say? I can name them all on my feathers alone though there is one in mind. She's a regular if I recall though she's becoming a rare sight but while she's away I'm here. Name's Salsa, who do I have the honor of meeting?" All the while she spoke mainly to the doctor in particular she gave a short nod in the directions of those who greeted her upon blinking. Concluding her speedy introduction she couldn't stifle but to snort at the clamor radiating within the living room. "When you put it that way, you make meteors sound like they're any good news. Better wise up now then never, ay?" She jested good heartedly in the light of Ougi's words and the mumbling of the dragon. "While this is the Paradox House, as paradoxical it can be it has some ground rules newbies such as yourself should know. This room is the only safe room, outside of here is the hallway lined with dangerous rooms so if you want to keep your head either get a party with you or stay here. Keep in mind you can die here so be careful though most return, time itself does not exist here and most individuals that come here are from different worlds."

The Living Room | The Doctor The Doctor completely forgot to do any form of introduction. Instead she stared at Philomel, their proclamation causing a very interested look to cross her face. " Why would you say that?" she asked. " I mean ... I have seen meteors and I do not believe a dragon of your size and stature could survive such a collision." She looked first to Salsa, than Ougi to see if there would be confirmation. "What are your names?" She was addressing all three now. She might have missed Ougi's name, for the most part. She was sure that Touka had made a ... sort of introduction for Salsa ... but she knew that she hadn't heard Philomel's. Salsa then took the question almost as soon as she said it and The Doctor smiled a bit. " I'm called The Doctor. Pleased to meetcha!"

( For poor Cloverleaf 's brain, I'm doing a summary of what the heck is happening in the living room: For the most part, Izaya is starting to warm up to the House and just stated he doesn't believe it is a dream. Hook is leaning on the razor thin edge of starting a fight, but mostly with Enji. The Doctor keeps glancing over because she doesn't want there to be any fights and plans to step in if they do. But for the most part, she's talking to Salsa, Ougi, and the newbie Philomel. All of them are explaining the House to Philomel, with varying levels of success, because Ougi just wants to have fun. Names are being exchanged. Touka is also probably near this particular group, if <Raintalon> hasn't blinked her out. Names are being exchanged, but no one has actually addressed Enji other than Hook and Izaya. ^^ Hope that helps.)

The bubbles made things hard to see, but it wasn't just that. It warped things. Sometimes his vision of Hector looked different depending on how many bubbles he was currently viewing him through. The vampire paused and hissed. The sound pushed between his teeth as he watched the overly large bubble with great suspicion. "What's the plan for this room?" he muttered to himself. He took a chance and glanced at Hector, taking his eyes off the bubble. "Do you think we have to avoid them?

All Astolfo could do was give Julius a sad look as the viper complained about his shirt. "Sorry. I wish I could help you with that." Sewing wasn't among his repertoire of skills as a Servant. At least he didn't think it was...
Now that the pair didn't have to worry about being killed by thier own powers anymore, he was finally able to contemplate what has just happened to them. "Oh man, even though it was burning us alive, that shadow magic was so cool!" Astolfo hummed, brightening up once again. The jump to another subject was sudden, but perhaps this was his way of trying to cheer Julius up. "I thought I could do some neat stuff, but that was on a whole other level!"

Ougi - Living Room
"Yes, you must have-..." Ougi stopped short when she realized what she had been about to say. Hit by a meteor? The other worlds had different rules from hers indeed. Then again, she was someone who was testing the fabric of time and space in her own world. She scoffed lightly when Salsa proceeded to explain the Paradox House to Philomel, the wildclaw ruining her fun. "The dragon would have to be flying quite high, at least in my universe," she chimed in to The Doctor's rebuttal. She held out one hand to the scientist, a sleeve-covered one at that. The pink cuff dangled and waved when she moved it, clearly in need of some tailoring. "Oshino Ougi. We officially meet."

Touka watched the introductions make their way around the group, taking in everyone’s names and storing them for later use. As the Doctor gave her a wave, she returned the gesture with her own small bow, clasping her hands in front of her. “Nice to meet you.” She gave Ougi and Salsa their own nods as well, acknowledging their greetings, and then turned her gaze to the only person here who she had yet to talk to. The strange man who had given her a very calculating once-over when she’d first arrived, but otherwise had yet to react. So she’d have to work that out later, too.

If Hange had been a Ghoul, they would have sensed the change in the boy’s scent and body chemistry instantly upon their arrival. As it was, though, at first they had no idea anything was amiss, and it was only after they’d waved off his concerns that they noticed the eyes. They had changed...from green to blood red, reflecting the sky perfectly as he stared, worried, up at them. “It’s...quite alright,” they continued, eyes alight with barely-contained curiosity. “This is hardly my first broken wrist. And you...are you injured at all?” So their clothes weren’t the only thing this room had changed. But the changes seemed entirely random - they were dressed like royalty, Myrnin was once again a creature of the night. What was the pattern?

Philomel | Living Room "Different worlds, you say?" the dragon's red eyes widened in interest. They were curious about 'returning' and if there was some type of door or gateway that led those who've ended up in this 'Paradox House' back to their worlds, but they decided they'd rather talk and explore for a while than ask. It might have been a silly thought, but the last thing they'd like to do would be to search for a way back home only to find that time had passed and their clan was gone or had forgotten about them. Sure, it got boring there at times, but the thought of losing everyone they knew sent chills up their spine. Looking down to answer the Doctor, they spoke, "The meteors of the Starfall Isles contain strange otherwordly stuff. Ran into some of it just a short while ago, so I've learned my lesson," they gestured towards their feathered wings. Turning to address the whole group, they continued, "Anyways, I'm Philomel. I come from a place called Sornieth, which I take at least some of you have heard of -" they cast a quick glance towards Salsa "specifically close to the border between two areas called the Scarred Wasteland and the Starfall Isles."(Sorry for being slow in the monster room! I promise that I'll get a reply there shortly. By the way, is there any spot where I can yeet another newbie at? There's a certain someone [note: this isn't Philomel or Anika] that I'm itching to try out.)

[[ Living Room (2?) || Eliyen || @/gray ]] "-kind of deal were you thinking?" asked Eliyen as she appeared in a chair with her elbows on the table, picking at a stray thread on the back of one of her gloves. Her hood was pulled up, casting a shadow over her face. The elf sighed as her surroundings changed, a bit disappointed that she would need to wait to have her question answered, and looked around the room. Just the living room, nothing too interesting. She took a sip of the drink in front of her before setting it back on the table. She still wasn't sure what the point of any of it was, or if it really had anything to do with the New World like she'd originally hoped, but there wasn't much she could do about it at the moment.
